Jesus is asked what should be done to a woman who was caught in the act of adultery. The intent of the accusers was to entrap Jesus. Would he condemn her to be executed and defy the law of Moses or will he show mercy? The accusers were forced to face their own motives and behaviors.

Some of John's disciples began arguing with a Jew about the matter of ritual washing. So they went to John and told him, “Teacher, you remember the man who was with you on the east side of the Jordan, the one you spoke about? Well, he is baptizing now, and everyone is going to him!” John 3:25-26

John's disciples were loyal and concerned about the fact that Jesus was also baptizing people. John’s response was to remind them of God’s design for his life. His place in history was to be the one who who prepared the way for Jesus.

The crowd was faced with the choice of releasing Jesus in whom no fault was found and Barabbas, the leader of an insurrection and accused murderer. The decision was both expected and disappointing.

Jesus stopped and ordered the man to be brought to him. When he came near, Jesus asked him, 41 “What do you want me to do for you?” “Lord, I want to see,” he replied. Jesus said to him, “Receive your sight; your faith has healed you.” Immediately he received his sight and followed Jesus, praising God. When all the people saw it, they also praised God. Luke 18:40-42

The blind man in Luke called out and Jesus heard him. He spoke the desire of his heart and Jesus healed him. We must all cry out to the Lord and he will intervene.
