Coaches on a Mission is the podcast to listen to if you're a values-driven coach and you want the freedom, confidence, and impact that comes with a prosperous coaching business. Dallas Travers' podcast offers real-time coaching sessions with real life coaches who want proven strategies to bring in more clients, launch fantastic courses, expand their team and build their lists.
Whether Dallas coaches volunteers through their blocks, or she slips into the client chair to be coached by a special guest, each episode features tangible strategies and essential inner work to help you stop struggling and start making a real difference in the world.
If you’re a values-driven coach and you want to make more money and help more people, Coaches on a Mission is the best podcast to take you there.
Christina Larocco wants to build her business around big ideas, not just coaching services, and she’s wondering whether that’s actually possible or just wishful thinking.
Christina helps nonfiction writers shaped by years of research wrangle their complicated projects into something sustainable. She joined the Hive searching for more coaching clients, but discovered her true passion is in honoring her identity as a public scholar. After a decade as an academic editor, Christina is ready to center writing, inquiry, and conversation in her work.
We zoomed in on the challenge at the core of Christina’s next chapter: How do you talk about being an “idea person” when coaching isn’t your main offer? By the end of our coaching session, Christina landed on the “abundance paradox” as the umbrella for her work and found a new language to describe what she actually does, helping other thinkers make meaning in a noisy world. More than that, she left with a menu of concrete ways to monetize her ideas and a simple beta program to test with her existing email list.
Let me highlight the clarity, strategy, and energy Christina and I uncovered in this conversation.
Watch what happens when Christina admits she cringes before every email to her list, and see the moment she realizes she’s been solving the same “abundance” problem all along, just on a deeper level.

Julie Covert wants to scale her writing coaching business, but her hands-on approach and travel lifestyle make traditional group programs tough to pull off.
Julie turns aspiring writers into excited authors through her Success Signals for Writers system. She helps clients reignite their writing spark, refill their inner ink pot, and avoid common writing pitfalls. Julie came to this call ready to rethink how her 1:1 editorial work could scale, especially with her upcoming plans to travel with her husband on their schooner, where Zoom meetings and set schedules aren’t always an option.
Julie's biggest challenge is clear: how to keep offering deep, individualized support without getting locked into constant calls or overextending herself. By the end of our conversation, she walked away with an entirely new model—anchored around asynchronous tools and thoughtful process design so she can serve more writers without sacrificing quality (or missing out on her adventure). Julie also discovered how she could introduce group elements in a way that fits her schedule, using voice apps and carefully planned office hours.
Let me highlight the practical pivots Julie and I mapped out in this conversation.
Check out the section where we map out a support system for writers using Voxer and calendar automation. There’s a reason Julie is so relieved, and it isn’t just about the tech.
Key Takeaways
Automate Accountability With Calendars: Setting up automated email reminders and mapped-out milestones ensures clients keep writing, even when live calls aren’t realistic. Scheduled check-ins can replicate the accountability of regular meetings.
Leverage Asynchronous Communication Tools: Using apps like Voxer for walkie-talkie style voice communication gives clients real-time feedback without requiring both parties to be online at the same time. This keeps the editorial process moving even with unpredictable schedules.
Test Group Support With Pop-Up Office Hours: Hosting occasional bonus office hours (rather than strict recurring sessions) brings some group connection and peer interaction without locking yourself into a rigid calendar.
Bundle Your Signature System as Trainings: Packaging frameworks like the Success Signals for Writers system as pre-recorded trainings makes it easier to support multiple clients at once—and creates new possibilities for group programs later.
Start Small to Build Confidence: Trying out these changes with a couple of private clients first can help you work out the kinks and adjust your onboarding before rolling new systems out to everyone.

Adriane Dellorco has noticed her proven client attraction tactics suddenly stop working, but she’s not sure if the culprit is trust issues, messaging, or the migraine market itself.
Adriane helps women with chronic migraine reclaim their lives using a whole person approach that blends yoga, pain reprocessing therapy, and lifestyle adjustments. She lives with migraine herself and brings both lived experience and expertise as one of the world’s leading voices in yoga for migraine. Adriane joined Dallas for coaching to figure out why her sales and connection rates have dropped sharply, and what needs to shift in her model.
Adriane came in wanting a clearer path to rebuild trust and convert new leads, even as organic engagement and show-up rates for her online programs have faltered. Together, we picked apart the psychological and financial barriers specific to chronic migraine sufferers, and mapped out a strategy to rebuild conversions. The heart of this session: trust lost to burn-out, medical letdowns, and fatigue is not the same as “bad messaging.” Adriane walked away with a plan to shift her language, test paid resource ads, and lean into authority via partnerships and podcast outreach.
Let me highlight what Adriane and I worked through in this conversation.
Watch for Adriane’s resistance when I suggest dropping the word “easy” from her marketing, and keep your ears open for the surprising reason a Facebook group might be costing her better clients.
Key Takeaways
Sell a Paid Resource to Qualify Leads: Shifting from free Facebook group ads to offering a low-cost migraine toolkit up front can quickly filter for buyers and attract clients truly ready for coaching.
Ditch the Word “Easy” in Messaging: Describing relief strategies as “easy” feels dismissive to chronic migraine sufferers and can erode trust, even when the intentions are good.
Pattern Interrupt to Build Trust: Leading with honesty by saying outright “I can’t cure your migraines” creates safety and stands out in a saturated marketplace of overblown promises.
Reduce Client Commitment to Lower Barriers: Reframing offers from a year to 8 weeks, plus optional add-ons, makes coaching containers feel manageable for clients who can’t trust their own capacity day-to-day.
Leverage Organization Partnerships for List Growth: Partnering with trusted migraine and women’s health organizations to co-host live events or challenges can create instant trust and deeper engagement than solo organic outreach.

Hanna Etu posts on Facebook and Instagram five days a week and sends regular emails, but her client roster is still stuck on empty.
Hanna helps writers with mental health differences establish a regular writing practice so they can finish their memoirs without losing the heart of their story. Lately, she’s frustrated by an email list that hovers below 40 subscribers, social content that feels more nurturing than effective, and sales calls that end with “let me think about it.”
She came looking for a clear strategy to attract the right writers, convert inquiries to clients, and scale her list beyond the crickets.
So, Hanna and I dissected her entire client attraction process. We addressed the real reason her audience never clicks “book a call,” how to shift her offers from generic to unmistakably hers, and where her sales conversations were going off the rails (plus the moment to pivot to coaching, not convincing). By the end, Hanna walked away with a funnel plan, a simple social media challenge, and the permission to trust her best coaching instincts on every sales call.
Let me highlight what Hanna and I worked through in this conversation.
Listen for the way I narrate the “commercial break” transition (when Hanna’s nurture content becomes a real invitation), and notice her immediate reaction when I reframe free coaching on sales calls as the most client-centered move.
Key Takeaways
Sell in Every Single Email: Consistent calls to action in social posts and newsletters show up as client care, not pushiness. Since nurture content alone doesn’t motivate action, making an offer every time is key for memoir coach client attraction.
Focus on Outcomes, Not Process: What clients buy is the chance to finish their memoir, not developmental edit packages or deadlines. Clear outcome messaging is more compelling than a list of features.
Coach Directly on Sales Calls: Address the client’s self-belief, usually their real obstacle, by coaching for clarity, not just reciting package details or pivoting away from their doubts.
Bundle to Build Your List: Hosting a bundle with targeted collaborators gets warm subscribers onto your list fast. Even a “mini-bundle” can 10x your audience without relying on traditional lead magnets.
Treat Your Newsletter as a Lead Magnet: Weekly, personal emails, presented as a true subscription, are more engaging and specific for your niche than yet another downloadable PDF.

Jami Glenn hits a wall juggling too many coaching offers for families and keeps looping back to underpricing her groups.
Jami is an emotional wellness coach with a background in public school teaching. Jami helps families move through meltdowns and big emotions with more calm, connection, and a lot less yelling. She joined The Hive six months ago and quickly filled her client roster, but now she faces the fallout of custom-building every workshop, offer, and group on the fly. Today, she wants a plan for her core offers and her pricing, so both her business and her clients can breathe.
Jami came in scattered from saying yes to every district and nonprofit that asked her to speak. Together, we mapped a group-first offer suite, ran the real numbers on what it would take to pay herself well, and tackled the emotional blocks around charging more. By the end, Jami was clear: she’s done running her business like a side project. She’s ready to own her methodology, structure her workshops for her actual clients, and talk confidently about why her Parent Lab is worth every penny.
Let me highlight what happened when Jami and I broke her offers wide open and set a plan she can stick to.

Becky wants her emerging author clients to market their writing with authenticity, but she struggles to stop over-teaching and overwhelming her groups.
My guest is Becky Grogan, who teaches writers the practical skills to market their work with ease and authenticity. Becky reached out because, despite her robust curriculum and love for helping authors connect with readers, she found herself cramming too much content into her programs, leaving her clients (and herself) overwhelmed.
We tackled Becky’s real concern head-on: how to structure her group program so clients stay engaged, take meaningful action, and don’t get lost in information overload. By the end of our session, Becky walked away with a clear curriculum map, a repeatable framework for teaching, and a delivery rhythm that actually fits real writers’ brains and schedules.
Let me highlight what happened when Becky and I broke her curriculum down to the essentials (and ditched those three-hour Canva rabbit holes).

Two years ago, I pressed pause on Coaches on a Mission because podcast production had become both expensive and overwhelming -and today I'm back to tell you exactly why, what changed in my business, and what to expect from here. So much has shifted behind the scenes since Coaches on a Mission went dark. Instead of burning out trying to do more for my clients, I tore down my signature program, The Hive, and rebuilt it from the ground up, creating a more accessible membership and making overdue changes to how I deliver support -so coaches inside actually make progress. I cut costs, learned how to grow my email list without relying on the podcast, and got honest about the difference between nurturing your audience and actually helping people hire you. Here's what you'll learn in this episode. Listen for the moment when I name the real reason “nurture content” can trap coaches in the friend zone -because it’s not what most gurus say, and it’s something I finally stopped doing.

My guest today is MIchelle Pollack who might be familiar to you because this is actually her third time on the show. Not long ago, she joined Brian Patacca to take over the show and share their experience inside The Hive.
Then, back in episode 32, Michelle came on the show to tackle some obstacles blocking her from putting out consistent content.
A lot has changed since then, but as it goes; whenever we reach new levels, we face new opportunities and likely face new problems to solve.
So, Michelle and I worked on designing a formula to help her leverage her strengths to bring fresh energy into her marketing.
Here's the plan we cooked up:
Clarify how you want to feel every day in your business.
Tap into the WHY behind why you started your business.
Define how your WHY shows up in all aspects of your life outside of your business.
Apply the elements you defined in step three back to your business. This requires throwing out any rules you think you should follow.
Put your WHY into action to bring energy and intention to your sales and marketing.
Michelle helps ambitious women own what they bring to the table and live and lead on their terms. I just want to say that Michelle is easily one of the most coachable guests we've ever had on this show.
So, if you're a fan of coaching, you'll love hearing her work through her own obstacles as I simply ask empowered questions.
If you're feeling frustrated and exhausted because your marketing efforts are falling flat, despite your efforts to infuse authenticity, then this episode is for you!

Finding clients is one thing. Keeping them is another. Especially when the work you do is so powerful that folks feel like they're fixed after only 4 coaching sessions.
That was the case for Jessica Raaum Foster who realized that in order to really have the impact (and the income) she craves, she needs to redesign her offer and refocus her niche.
If you worry that nobody will actually be interested in investing in your coaching program, this episode will help you re-evaluate your dream client, the offer they really need, and the message to call them in.
In this episode, Dallas and Jessica cover:
A Bit About Jessica
Jessica Raaum Foster helps people get out of pain and improve performance by teaching them how to play with their brains. I’ve actually worked with Jessica and her methods are pretty mind blowing.
Jessica came into our conversation feeling really clear about who her dream client actually is. And also pretty clear that she hasn't been delivering a clear message or offer that aligns with that same dream client.
So, the two of us put our heads together to design a simple, scalable program that Jessica’s dream client will not only leap toward, but they’ll also want to stay for the long haul.
Then, we identified gaps in Jessica’s message plus a framework to fill those gaps so she could take her shiny new offer to the streets.
Whether you’re crystal clear about your dream client or not, this episode will reveal four essential steps to ensure that your marketing message and your offer both align with the clients you want to attract.

If you want to know how to effectively manage and support the growth of your membership-based business, then this episode is for you!
My guest today is Camille Brown who helps bakers become confident recipe developers so they can create drool-worthy desserts and create thriving businesses.
Camille rolled out a membership program earlier this year and now she has questions about determining the next steps for this program.
And she doesn't want to be the bottleneck slowing growth down. And at the same time, Camille isn't interested in hosting a program that lacks any personal connection.
So, we tackled a list of Camille's questions to help her scale wisely.
Now, scaling is a bit of a buzzword in the online coaching space. But I'm not sure everyone selling scalability understands what scaling actually means.
If you look it up in the dictionary, you'll find that scaling is to grow without feeling hampered.
Which means that bigger isn't always better. And every coach needs to design a scaled business model that aligns with their values, goals and work style.
In this episode, we'll discuss how to:
Key Points We Cover:
Setting Boundaries for Sustainability
Defining clear boundaries helps your clients understand what to expect and ensures that you can delivery easily on your program's promises..
Membership Growth and Scaling
Camille and Dallas brainstormed a layered plan to handle the influx of new members, adding relevant content, fostering engagement, and ensuring each member's satisfaction.

My guest today is Ollie Matthews who knows from experience that the missing link for many of us is our health. Many coaches unconsciously compromise their self care and healthy habits because we’re so busy working on our businesses. If this resonates with you, then this episode is for you.
But Ollie believes that your body IS your business and he’s on a mission to help business owners manage their hormones, get better rest and take better care of their bodies so they can feel free in their business and in their lives.
So, we have a very important conversation today to help you (and selfishly… help me) connect the dots between your body and your business. So, pour yourself a big glass of water with a pinch of pink salt and take an energizing walk as you listen along to this inspiring episode.
In this episode, you will be able to:
Discover the crucial role health plays in achieving long-lasting business success.
Uncover the surprising ways stress affects the body, especially in women.
Learn foundational health practices for a thriving life, such as hydration, nutrition, and sleep.
Gain valuable insights on stress management techniques, boundary-setting, and burnout prevention.
Delve into the significance of supporting your body's natural detox processes for peak health.
Key Points We Cover:
The Importance of Basic Foundations
As Ollie says, your body IS your business. So, a strong foundation in health is essential for coaches seeking sustainable business success. This can be achieved by focusing on the basics, such as staying hydrated, ensuring enough protein intake, and maintaining consistent sleep and exercise routines.
In the podcast, Ollie stresses the power of consistency and the importance of starting with basic health habits upon which coaches can build their businesses without risking burnout or injury. He shares the analogy of climbing Mount Everest, explaining that health should be approached much like setting up base camp. He believes that sticking to the essentials – hydration, protein intake, and sleep – can yield greater results in overall health than extreme practices like nootropics and fad diets.
Understanding Toxins and Detoxification
The world is full of toxins that can impact our health, even in rural areas where one might feel removed from pollution because pesticides and chemicals can still be present in the air due to farming. Identifying ways to introduce more antioxidants and improve air quality can go a long way in promoting overall health.
During the podcast, Ollie emphasizes the importance of bolstering detoxification systems by seeking ways to reduce exposure to toxins and increase the body's natural defense mechanisms, you can potentially improve your overall health and vitality.
Prioritizing Sleep
Healthy sleep habits play a crucial role in achieving long-term success. Proper sleep helps the body and mind rejuvenate and prepare for the demands of work and personal life. Inadequate sleep can lead to various issues, including poor decision-making and reduced productivity.
During this podcast, Ollie offers advice for improving sleep habits, such as his three-two-one rule: no meals three hours before bed, no screens or work two hours before bed, and no technology one hour before bed. He encourages coaches to invest in their sleep and view it as a vital component of overall health and well-being.

If you want to learn how to leverage your strengths… leverage what’s working… to become more visible and boost your sales, then this episode is for you.
.
My guest today is Omar Cumberbatch who helps Health Coaches create podcasts that build their brands.
Earlier this year, Omar invited me to join him on his show, The Health Coach Academy Podcast. His show is really valuable and quite successful. So, Omar wanted to brainstorm how he can leverage his show to boost course sales.
Which led us to a step by step conversation about list building because if you want to boost course sales, you’ve gotta build a mailing list.
Since Omar isn’t interested in social media marketing, we brainstormed a couple of simple ways he can build off of his podcast to add email subscribers who can ultimately buy his course.
In this episode, we’ll discuss how to:
Use your podcast for list building and marketing courses.
Use lead magnet swaps as a cutting-edge list building strategy.
Create personalized pitches to increase chances of being booked on other podcasts to help drive more listeners to your own show.
Build commercials for a lead magnet into every podcast episode.
Use social media to promote your podcast and lead magnet.
Key Points We Cover:
Podcast Promotion
You can’t simply make a course and expect it to sell. Instead, Dallas and Omar brainstorm ways he can use his successful podcast to drive more sales. Their ideas include running commercials for his course directly on the podcast. They also talked about using the podcast to also build his mailing list so he can sell via email. And lastly, how Omar can leverage partnerships to bring more ears to his podcast where he’ll then be able to sell his course.
Social Media Marketing Strategy
A social media marketing strategy is essential for coaches who aim to build their email list. By consistently utilizing various platforms, coaches can expand their reach and engage a much larger audience, thus increasing the chances of attracting new subscribers. It is important for coaches to choose social media strategies that align with their personal comfort level and preferences, as this will ensure more consistent engagement.
In this episode, Dallas encourages Omar to embrace a more consistent social media marketing strategy by posting podcast transcripts and audiograms on his LinkedIn account. They discuss the importance of tailoring your marketing strategy to fit your personal preferences so they feel authentic and comfortable, which in turn will help you connect with potential subscribers on a genuine level and ultimately grow your email list.

If you can’t stand social media, but know you need to market your business on there, then this episode is for you.
My guest today is Laura Kendrick who helps pre & postnatal people stay present in every moment without sacrificing their health and wellness.
Laura feels like the best kept secret in her niche and she’s pretty tired of it.
She also knows without a doubt that her target audience spends a lot of time scrolling through social media. Which means that as much as she can’t stand social, Laura wants to find a way to market her business on social media without selling her soul.
We got creative and leaned into Laura’s why to simplify and a getting-started social plan that both Laura and I feel pretty darn good about.
In this episode, we’ll discuss how to :
Leverage Laura’s love of writing to repurpose blog content on Instagram.
Delegate social media responsibilities for better consistency and engagement.
Develop concise, purposeful calls-to-action in every post.
Protect your heart from the comparison game or negativity that can often appear on social platforms.
Key Points We Cover:
Playing the Game of Social Media
Many coaches just aren’t sure how to present their brand while remaining true to their values. Playing the game of social media can feel disingenuous, which makes it hard for coaches who prioritize authenticity to engage in this space. Laura shares her concerns with Dallas, explaining her internal resistance to social media and how she feels pressured to craft a specific image for her online presence.
Dallas suggests that Laura leverage what’s already working and do the bare minimum because consistent content is so much more effective than simply posting a lot.
The Friction of Social Media
Apps like Instagram can blow up your phone with endless notifications. Which explains why many coaches often find themselves grappling with their values and messages while still aiming to entice followers through their online platforms.
In her conversation with Dallas, Laura mentioned that remaining genuine on social media can be challenging, especially when most strategies revolve around manipulating follower counts and engagement rates. They discuss the importance of aligning your values with social media practices to ensure that your stance aligns with and truly serves your target audience.

Today we’re going to simplify the course creation process.
My guest is Julie Artz who finds herself in a bit of a funky place in her business…
Julie is a book coach who serves social and environmental justice-minded story geeks who understand that books change lives with a combination of craft knowledge, industry smarts, strategic planning, and tough love.
Julie is extremely busy with a waitlist for private clients. Yet, she is very committed to creating price accessibility so those folks who may not have the ability to pay her private client rates can still get their books written and out in the world.
At the same time, Julie really doesn’t have time to build out a course. So, what’s a book coach to do?
Well, the two of us put our heads together to design what I’m going to call a B- version of a course.
One that delivers a lot of value without requiring a lot of set up.
We looked at the specific things that make Julie’s private coaching work really well and simply asked ourselves, “how can we recreate the best possible version of this inside a group?”
And guess what, in less than 45 minutes, Julie and I designed a pretty rock solid group program that she’s going to be able to get off the ground in a matter of weeks.
Which is just so exciting. So, if you are somewhere in the in-between… not quite ready to build a full blown course but unable to bring on any more private clients… you’re going to get so much from this episode.
Let’s get down to it.
TIMESTAMPS:
00:02:00 - Julie shares her hope to expand her offers so that what she does is more accessible without compromising the experience for herself or her clients

00:13:00 - Dallas tells a story about a belief she used to have around private coaching

00:29:00 - Julie + Dallas brainstorm around an idea to share and celebrate achievements each week

Last week, I worked with Erin Young to uncover an authentic way to convey her marketing message without creating confusion or compromising authentic connection.
And, we referenced the work of Marisa Corcoran quite a bit during our conversation. In particular Marisa’s super smart approach to storytelling in your copy.
She calls it The Story Strip Down and it’s a method I rely on quite a bit.
So, this week, I figured we should re-air one of our early episodes back when this show was still called The Six Figure Coach Podcast because The Story Strip Down is just so darn good.
In fact, Marisa Corcoran who just might be the most clever person I know. Not only is she a talented copywriter and teacher, she also models what it looks like to run a values driven business.
In this episode, Marisa coaches me through her Story Strip Down process to help me be less of a stiff professor in my copy and more… well… me.
If you want to discover what to say and how to say it so you can magnetically attract your dream clients, you need Marisa Corcoran in your corner...
Grab a pen and a fresh pad of paper because Marisa is about to teach us how to tell better stories to attract clients, make money and even create a massive online movement.

Today’s episode will help you leverage two important marketing skills.
Narrating + Story telling.
That’s what my guest, Erin Young discovered when we dove into her Signature System to uncover the simplest and most compelling way to convey her message in her marketing.
Now I know that narrating and story telling sound like they’re the same thing, but they’re different in this context.
Narrating occurs when you explain exactly what you’re doing while it’s happening.
Storytelling helps your audience understand your work more deeply because they’re able to see themselves in the stories you tell.
If you ever feel like nobody quite understands what exactly you do. Or maybe you lean too hard into being a professor instead of storytelling…
Perhaps you just want to be able to layer more creativity and connection into your marketing…
either way… you’re going to love the conversation I had with Erin.
Erin Young helps natural health practitioners share their craft authentically, moving beyond the grind with purpose, stability, calm and connection. But Erin’s niche is evolving and her Signature System felt confusing.
But when we let go of the idea that her target audience needs to fit a certain occupation, Erin discovered that Sometimes the best way to define our ideal client is defining the moment of time they are in.
I’ll confess that I came into the conversation feeling a little nervous because inside The Hive Erin and I have struggled a bit to pin down her signature system.
But everything clicked in this episode and I cannot wait for you to hear the breakthroughs we both had.
I also want to shout out my friend Marisa Corcoran who inspired a tool Erin and I played around with. It’s called the Story Strip Down and Marisa actually taught it on this very show. It’s episode 25 and we’ve linked to it in the show notes.
Okay.I’m ready to do this. Let’s dive in.

My guest is Malasia Johnson whose superpower is helping creators build a life they want and entrepreneurs become known on YouTube.
Malasia and I got right down to business because…
Selfishly, I’ve always wanted to be one of those coaches with a beautiful weekly longform youtube series shot in HD with a big production crew and all the bells and whistles.
Which is precisely why I don’t have a youtube channel to speak of.
But Malasia breaks the process down into tangible steps and she is so good at tackling the mindset crap that blocks us from being more visible.
Even if you’re not at all interested in being a YouTuber, you’ll love Malasia’s interview because her insights apply no matter what platform you want to become more visible on.
Okay… let’s dive in. Here’s Malasia Johnson

What do you say when someone asks you what you do?
A lot of coaches over explain.
Or they speak in Coachy language instead of real world language.
Or even undersell the value their work has on the world.
I know I’m guilty of that last one.
And so was today’s guest, Brandon Wilcox who has spent most of his life developing a deep and meaningful spiritual practice. And today, Brandon helps his clients truly transform their lives by sharing the tools he’s cultivated over the years.
Brandon’s work is the real deal… yet the way he talked about the work… well… it was kinda bland and even a bit confusing.
So that’s the first thing he and I got to during today’s sessions.
During the episode Brandon and I:
nailed down accurate and clear language to explain who he helps and how
dug into his offers to ensure that they’ll attract aligned clients
even brainstormed content Brandon can share that truly represents all he’s capable of without confusing folks
This is a jam packed episode, so if you worry - even a little bit - that people don't quite get what it is you do, you simply must tune in.
Enjoy!

We’re going to talk about the most important thing you can do to sign more clients.
It’s kind of obvious… and yet… it’s THE THING that most of us go out of our way to avoid.
I have a little confession for you about today’s episode…but first, let me introduce our guest.
Julie Scott helps stuck, uninspired, people pleasing women infuse their lives with optimism to find new meaning & purpose so they can confidently make the rest of their life the best of their life. v
And a couple of months ago, Julie inherited a robust FB group filled with 6000 members of her target audience.
Yet, Julie hadn’t quite figured out how to convert these engaged FB group members into clients and she wanted my help.
Now for my confession…
Prior to recording, my brain was popping with marketing ideas I could share with Julie. I honestly came into the session ready to basically blow her mind with my savvy marketing ideas.
And then… once we started coaching, I realized that Julie was pretty much doing most of what I had planned to suggest.
Huh…
But when we dug in just a little deeper, what we discovered was that while Julie was doing an excellent job of nurturing her group.. She wasn’t actively selling. She wasn’t inactively selling. She wasn’t really selling at all.
In fact, in a lot of ways, Julie was making it HARD for the women in her group to hire her.
You see…
Julie fell victim to Wishful Marketing… the unconscious idea that by offering up super valuable content… people will just automatically reach out and ask you if they can hire you.
This… doesn’t really happen. Like… ever.
So, after Julie and I uncovered that the missing link in her FB group strategy was simply making an offer, we created a schedule to help her step into her Brave Boots and actually invite members of her group to actually become clients.
Quick update before we dive in… Julie posted in our Hive FB group about a week after we recorded this conversation and guess what… she our plan into place and already have two sales calls booked.
So there… if you find that you avoid making offers or even if you subtly mention your offers without really leading with them.. You’re going to love this conversation.
Let’s get started shall we? Here’s Julie Scott.

If you have plans to scale with a course, you definitely want to tune because that’s exactly what today’s guest came in to discuss.
Suzette Mullen helps LGBTQ+ folx make time to raise their voices, write their stories, and become published authors.
And Suzette’s vision is to build a year long mentorship program similar to my program The Hive.
Yet.. Suzette is well aware that a large portion of her audience may need a bit of a starter course before they’re ready to commit to a year long program.
So, the two of us put our heads together to determine if launching an intro program makes sense for her business and her audience.
From there, we worked out the timing and the workflow to roll out her intro course and ensure that it flows right into her year long program.
This episode was particularly fun for me for 2 reasons:
Suzette’s mission to help raise LBGTQ+ voices is important and I want to help her any way I can.
Our conversation took us behind the scenes of my business. So, if you’ve ever been curious about why and how my offers look the way they do, get ready because we are spilling the tea today.

Welcome to the fifth and final bonus episode this week.
And I’ll just get right into it…
I think it's time for each and every one of us to normalize the rollercoaster.
This is something we really really strive to do inside of The Hive.
For a whole host of reasons, but namely, the online industry really does not normalize the rollercoaster.
Think about any sales page you've ever looked at, they tend to feature the massive amount of money someone earned in the shortest amount of time. So if you're not making massive amounts of money in a short amount of time you are broken in some way.
So today, we will really take a look at and think about the harm that this might unintentionally cause to your audience.
I believe that we, as coaches, have to strive really hard to normalize the rollercoaster for our own mental health but also for our audience.
This topic is something I feel very passionate about, so I hope that it inspires you in some way.
Tune in, take notes, and maybe send this episode on to a coach friend who should give it a listen, too.
TIMESTAMPS:

Welcome to episode 4 in our special 5 part series.
All week, I’m reflecting on some of the lessons I’ve learned and observed this year inside of the Hive.
Today, I want to talk about making mistakes.
More specifically, how doing something wrong is actually required in order to get it right?
And I get it, ok? Honestly, saying that makes me gag a little bit because I don't like making mistakes, especially in front of people.
But the truth is that, by being an entrepreneur, we’ve actually signed up to make mistakes in public. Our messaging, marketing, social media…
Everything is a giant guessing game. We're testing everything. And this can feel so frustrating.
But here’s the thing: getting it wrong is the first step toward getting it right.
So, if you’re ready to write yourself a permission slip today to “not get it perfect, and just get it going”, tune in now.
TIMESTAMPS:
00:01:00 - Doing it wrong, is the first step towards getting it right
00:03:00 - Dallas shares about her experience overcoming perfectionism

We are back with another bonus episode today! My goal is to help you learn from some of the lessons I’ve observed this year inside of the Hive and, of course, doing the work inside of my own business.
On Monday we talked about the importance of solving the right problems. And Tuesday we talked about the value of centering the client whenever you feel stuck rather than centering yourself
Well, today we'll talk about my favorite thing…
…habits!
I love habits. They are so boring and uncool.
But they are actually the reason why I have been in business for 21 years and why I've been able to — over that time — completely change my business 3 times, and change my audience, start from scratch, the whole deal, I've done it.
And because I relied on the same habits over and over again…when it came to revenue, I was able to pick up where I left off each time.
Listen — habits are sexy and slow is actually fast.
If you’re ready to no longer ask yourself “what more should I be doing?” and instead, focus on repeatable habits to build a business you’re truly proud of, get ready to take notes because this episode is for you!
TIMESTAMPS:
00:01:00 - Why we need habits instead of more tactics
00:03:00 - Why are habits important when it comes to running your business?
00:05:00 - Dallas shares the problem with most summit strategies in the coaching space
00:07:00 - Dallas shares an example a Hive Member who realized the importance of a stackable strategy
00:10:00 - How the online coaching space perpetuates the myth of the overnight success
00:12:00 - How to use scorecards to build on your habits
00:15:00 - Why it’s important to have accountability to your habits
00:16:00 - Dallas shares one final story to illustrate the importance of habits

We are dropping into your podcast feed all week long with quick bonus episodes designed to reveal themes and lessons that I have observed this year inside of The Hive.
Yesterday, we talked about the importance of solving the right problems.
Today we will talk about what is probably my number one lesson of the whole year.
Which is why— as values-driven coaches — we have to center the client instead of ourselves.
I first started talking about this in relation to sales calls…
If you're nervous when you're selling…or you're worried about if they even like you…or if they trust your expertise… or if you're going to annoy them by following up…
That is completely self-centered.
When you center the client it instead becomes “I'm speaking to someone who has a goal they want to accomplish. Am I the person to help them accomplish that goal?”
When we center them, of course we want to invite them to become a client.
Of course, we want to listen to their dreams and goals rather than thinking about overcoming their objections.
This is a massive mindset shift. And for values driven coaches — it's a lifesaver now.
An obvious place to center the client instead of yourself is in sales calls.
But this rule applies pretty much everywhere in your business and I'm going to give you several examples throughout this episode.
So with that, let’s dive in!
TIMESTAMPS:
00:3:00 - Dallas introduces the mindset shift of “centering the client”
00:05:00 - Examples of centering the client rather than centering yourself
00:12:00 - How to make the shift to center your clients
00:16:00 - Dallas shares how this approach makes decisions really clear (maybe not convenient, but clear)
00:19:00 - The “Stop, Drop, Dig, and Roll” practice
21:00 - How to tell if you’re centering yourself or the client

Happy October — This is the time of year where I know for me and so many other coaches start to dream, plan, and prepare for the year to come.
So to help you make next year a breakthrough year in your business I've cooked up 5 bonus episodes that we will drop each day this week!
And today is all about how to know you are solving the right problems in your business
We are rolling out these special episodes for 2 reasons:
To help you think differently about your business than you have in the past.
To help you decide if The Hive is the program to help you accomplish those goals and apply those strategies — and really make 2023 a different year for yourself.
So at the time of recording this episode we have exactly twenty spots available inside the hive before we close enrollment for the year.
We limit our enrollment because we really strive to deliver the gold standard when it comes to client success inside of the program. We're very high touch and intentional so we will close the doors for the year once we hit our enrollment goal.
So the way that I see it is if you've been at all curious about The Hive or it's been on your list... now is the time to begin your enrollment process. You can apply now at http://dallastravers.com/apply
Today's episode is all about how to solve the right problems in your biz.
Do you ever feel like everyone around you knows something you don't? Maybe like you're missing something- because you're doing all of the right things and still feel like you're just throwing spaghetti against the wall half of the time.
This is really common for values driven coaches. One reason being that we care a lot about our business and really want to help people.
And because we want that so badly, we're willing to put in the hard work. But it's that willingness to put in the hard work that can create chaos in our business and cause us to value action more than strategy.
So in this episode, I will walk you through how to tell if you're actually solving the right problem. Then, how to measure those decisions in a values driven way. And lastly, walk you through the system I live by and walk all of our Hive Members through: The Ripple Effect System.
If you're ready to stop throwing spaghetti at the wall and truly set your business up for success this coming year...grab a pen and paper and tune in!
TIMESTAMPS:
00:06:27 - Dallas shares a story about sharing the wrong problem in your business
00:09:00 - How our initial instinct is to solve a peripheral problem, but doesn’t move the needle in our business
00:10:40 - The layers inside of the Ripple Effect System
00:15:00 - Dallas shares a mistake she made in her business and what you can learn from it
00:19:00 - Questions to ask yourself so you solve the right problems
00:23:00 - How the Ripple Effect System is actually FAST
00:25:00 - Dallas summarizes and shares about the limited spots remaining in the Hive for 2022

So perfectionism steps in…
…Or imposter syndrome…
…Or the countless distractions that keep us all playing small.
Well, my guest today has a solution for you. Her name is Adela Hussain who is the founder of Starts Ups & Co and is a master at helping you pitch your business to people that don’t know you…yet.

But on the way there, you’ll also learn:
Why visility really matters for your business.
How to build up the confidence to put yourself out there.
Big mistakes to avoid when you pitch yourself.

As coaches, we’ve all had those moments where we’ve held ourselves back. Whether it’s fear, perfectionism, distraction, or overwhelm… as humans, we’ve all been there.
It’s painful, especially when we know we’re doing it, yet we just can’t seem to break free from our sabotaging behaviors.
This episode is one of my favorites because we tackle self-sabotage head on.
Now, this episode originally aired what feels like a lifetime ago… and I’m bringing it forward today for 3 reasons
First, and most importantly, our guest… when we recorded this episode she was totally stuck around visibility.
Randi Corlin Roberts left her extremely successful corporate career to become a coach.
Randi had a massively successful track record, yet she held herself back from putting her coaching business out there.
Yes, she had private clients, but Randi wanted more…
Since this recording, Randi is so different.
She has a podcast now, she goes live, she’s launched power groups… she is a visibility machine!
So, I hope you feel inspired as you listen back and hear where she was at not long ago.
Reason #2: We updated our coaching super power quiz and I want you to get your hands on the updated toolkits! This episode is one of the resources we recommend for those coaches who score limitless potential, connection, or magnetism.
Let’s find out if that’s you - go take the quiz now at dallastravers.com/quiz
The 3rd reason this episode matters is really just because as values driven coaches, we all have days where things feel hard and we wish we didn't have to be so visible.
As risky as it feels to put yourself out there, holding back is much more painful. So, I hope this episode inspires you in some way.
Okay… let’s get into it…
TIMESTAMPS:
00:03:00 - Randi and Dallas set the table around the coaching topic for this episode
00:07:00 - Randi allows the part of herself that is holding her back to speak
00:11:00 - Dallas shares how change actually impacts your nervous system

That was the case for today’s guest, Jill Valdez. Jill loves helping small business owners bring out the best in their teams to optimize performance and productivity.
In fact, Jill loves helping people so much that she’s always giving her services away for free.

Today's episode is the second in a special 4 part series where I’ve chosen some of my favorite, most impactful episodes to highlight.
We’ve put this series together because let’s face it… 125 episodes is no small feat and, especially if you’re new around here… some of these conversations are too valuable NOT to share with you again.
We also want to highlight some of the episodes included in our freshly minted and fully updated quiz results from the Super Power Quiz. If you haven’t taken the quiz before or you just want a refresher, check it out now at dallastravers.com/quiz.
Okay and now for today’s episode.
My guest is Laser Sidney who is a very talented musician who created and produced a wonderful musical last year called Teaching a Robot to Love.
He is also good at helping musicians and creators grow a genuine fanbase who actually want to pay for their music and then get paid through successful Kickstarter, Patreon, and crowdfunding campaigns.
And I’m gonna be honest with you, Laser doesn’t like selling. He’s also not that into a lot of the “coachy” strategies out there.
Yet, Laser wants to expand his reach in order to help more musicians make art without waiting for permission.
Now, there’s the rub… how do you build a bigger business without selling? How do you build a list without a lead magnet?
Laser and I prove it’s actually possible during today’s episode. Because when you let go of marketing yourself and instead focus on marketing your stance, the tactics and strategies don’t feel gross because you’ve made them your own.
Laser and I cover a lot during today’s episode that I know will be valuable for you.
Let me share my biggest takeaways:
Do your goals belong to you or are they just the thing you think you’re supposed to do next?
What do you stand for? In other words, what are the core transformations or benefits behind your work? The reason you do what you do?
How can you use an area in your life where things feel easy, as a template for action in the areas that feel hard?
Those are 3 key questions we tackled during what is surely one of my all time favorite episodes. I hope you’ll consider your own answer to these questions as you listen along.
With that, please enjoy the show.
TIMESTAMPS:
00:03:02 - Laser introduces himself and where his business was at during the time of the recording
00:06:00 - Determining if Laser’s goal is actually his or just what he thinks he goals should be
00:11:30 - We address the part of Laser that feels gross about selling a coaching program to musicians
00:14:00 - I walk Laser through my approach to “sales”
00:20:00 - We talk through “how” Laser can market his program in a way that feels authentic and not “salesy”
00:22:00 - We put together Laser’s list building and lead magnet plan
00:26:00 - We dig into why lead magnet swaps feel “icky” to Laser so that we can tailor it to feel aligned in his business
00:32:00 - How to grow your list when you are guest teaching
00:33:30 - We break down the step by step actions for Laser up to this point
00:35:00 - Why it’s ok if your business doesn’t grow rapidly

Today’s episode is the first in a special series we will roll out this month.
Now that we are 125 episodes in and our audience has grown significantly, I wanted to revisit some of my favorite early episodes because they’re just so jam-packed with value and I’m willing to bet you haven’t had the chance to hear them yet.
So, for the next 4 weeks, we’re going to feature some updated episodes designed to help you in four key areas:
—List building
—Client Attraction
—Sales
—Confidence
Each episode you hear is also featured in our updated toolkits you receive when you take the Super Power Quiz. So, if it’s been awhile since you took the quiz or you haven’t taken it yet, press pause and visit dallastravers.com/quiz.
OKay… and now for the first in this special series…
We’re going to focus on list building because 65% of the coaches who join The Hive tell me that they want to build their list so they can expand beyond just offering 1:1 coaching.
That’s why I invited Brian Patacca to the show. I’ve had the privilege of mentoring Brian over the last few years and he’s just one of those people who elevates the energy no matter what room he’s in.
So, when Brian first decided to expand beyond 1:1 and make courses the center of his business, he knew he needed to build his list.
And can you believe that he added more than 3000 new email subscribers in just 90 days?
No, he didn’t rely on paid ads. Instead, he relied on partnerships.
So, if you know you need to build your list in order to sell courses or group programs, grab a pen and notepad because Brian and I will take you behind the scenes of the exact process he followed to build his list through referral marketing.
TIMESTAMPS:
00:06:00 - The mindset shift that helped Brian build his list
00:08:45 - An overview of lead magnet cross promotion
00:10:00 - The results that Brian has seen over a 90 day period
00:15:30 - How to determine the lead magnet you should offer
00:16:45 - How to find promo partners, craft an invite letter, fielding responses
00:26:00 - What to do when it actually comes time to cross promote
00:28:30 - Overview of the entire process

What are you known for?
When it comes to your work as a coach, how would your audience complete this sentence?
Oh… I know them… they’re the __________________ coach.
That blank… is really important. And if your marketing is at all confusing, you’ll get a different answer to that exercise from every person you ask.
Especially if you have a wide range of expertise.
And, if your audience is confused about what it is you do… they’re going to be confused about whether or not to hire you.
But there’s good news here. And don’t worry… I’m not about to tell you to niche down to only serve millennial college grads who work in advertising and want a new career… or women in their sixties coming out of a divorce who want to lose 20 or more pounds.
That may be your target audience, but it’s not your niche and it won’t be what you’re known for.
What you’re known for is your process. Your signature system. Your unique method.
And when you can communicate your unique method in your marketing, people get it.
Plus, you don’t feel boxed in or like a broken record talking about the same thing over and over again in your marketing.
That’s what Emily Taradash learned in today’s episode. You see, Emily loves to help people in a variety of ways. Whether it’s relationships, confidence, or career, Emily is your coach.
But this variety created confusion for her audience and I worried that folks would assume Emily was just confused.
Which is the opposite of what was really going on for her.
So, she and I let go of the shallow approach to niche and messaging and instead clarified her unique process. Which applies to relationships, confidence and career.
And it’s that process that Emily can be known for. Which gives her freedom to share a wide variety of expertise but link them all back to her clear process.
And just like that… people understand.
So… if the idea of niching ever leaves you feeling limited or you worry that your marketing might actually confuse folks… get ready to take some notes because this conversation is just what the doctor ordered.
Let’s get into it.
TIMESTAMPS:
00:08:00 - Emily’s niche journey and where she’s at now
00:012:00 - What Emily needs to change (and doesn’t) now that her niche is different
00:17:00 - How Emily’s messaging may need to change so that it doesn’t cause confusion for her audience
00:27:00 - How to find the “through-line” in your different offers
00:36:00 - Brainstorming an idea for Emily’s to create an ongoing community or membership program
00:44:00 - The structure to set up Emily’s power group

Today, let’s take our conversation about mini courses even further.
My guest today is Jodi Geline who helps women eliminate bloat once and for all.
Jodi healed her own chronic bloat and IBS years ago and it was then that she realized how important mindset, inner work, and spiritual healing are to your health.
And this message is one Jodi works to share with her clients.
But here’s the thing… Jodi knows A LOT. She’s studied A LOT. And… it’s been a long time since she struggled with bloating, digestion or any of the other things she helps her clients heal from.
So, when Jodi and I sat down to design a mini course for her audience, we had to work pretty hard to focus in on a tangible outcome for her mini course.
We kept going too broad and the secret to a valuable mini course - one that keeps people coming back for more - is traction.
You’ve gotta give your clients a clear win in your mini course.
If you don’t, it’s really hard to sell and it may even work against your goal of using the mini course to upsell folks into a larger offer.
Why? Because if they can’t succeed with the first, baby program, why one earth would they feel capable of going all in?
So, Jodi and I dug in to ensure that the topics she chose for her mini courses accomplish these three goals:
Set folks up for an easy win.
Give them a real taste of what it’s like to work with Jodi
Easily lead to Jodi’s signature program
If you've got mini courses on your mind, you’ll love today’s conversation!

My guest today is Li Huo who helps exhausted Health Care Professionals find fulfillment and joyful purpose again in their career so that they can enjoy their lives now instead of waiting until retirement.
So, Li came into our conversation with a big bright idea to offer up one time paid workshops to her audience in order to accomplish three goals:
1: Li’s audience doesn’t really understand coaching, so she wanted to create a way to give them a taste of her work in order to help them see the value through experience.
2: Li likes to mix things up for herself. She’s a transformational coach, so there’s a ton of topics she can help people with. Plus, she likes bringing variety to her work.
3: Li wants to build her list and enroll more clients. What better way to accomplish those goals than to charge for a mini course and then offer a power group as an upsell at the end of the course?
So, Li and I got to work bringing her plan to life during this episode.
We clarified why, exactly, mini courses need to offer an extremely clear and tangible outcome in order to be effective.
Then, we brainstormed topics she could teach on and even came up with a “getting started” strategy so Li can offer her first paid mini course this fall.
If you’re looking for a way to help your audience gain immediate traction so they understand the value of your work, a mini course may do the trick.
So, be sure you’re ready to take a bunch of notes throughout the episode!

As your business grows, here’s what you can expect…
An ebb and a flow.
You will enter into big periods of expansion when you put yourself out there in a bigger way, or you launch a course, or hire a team… expansion is all about growing.
But there’s an equally essential phase that supports expansion.
And that’s containment.
If all you do is grow grow grow, you’ll eventually burst.
Containment phases in your business allow you to catch your breath, get your systems in place, and grow internally all in support of the next big expansion period.
There’s value in standing still sometimes.
Which brings me to today’s guest. Carolyn Stein just went through a massive expansion phase in her personal life and what she needed is some time and space for things to settle.
So, her big business goals needed to take a back seat at the moment.
Which left Carolyn with the question… how do I grow? More specifically… how do I bring in clients with ease so I can simply maintain in the short term and set myself up to expand when I’m ready?
Carolyn is a leadership coach who helps folks solve a big problem in their work. Whether they think they need a career change or they just see that their leadership is lacking, Carolyn uses art as a framework to help people deepen their skills and improve their performance.
If you find yourself in a transition. Or if you worry that something is wrong with you because you’re not growing fast enough, I think my conversation with Carolyn will offer up a refreshing perspective. Enjoy!

Here’s a question for you.
What’s the point?
The online space offers up countless strategies you could implement in your coaching business to bring in more clients.
But what’s the point?
This is a crucial question you must ask yourself before you take on any marketing strategy.
If you don’t, you could end up being really busy… doing a lot of work.. And even generating results.
But those results may not bring you any closer to your big goal if you don’t connect the dots directly between your marketing plan and your business goals.
So… what’s the point?
That’s the question I asked today’s guest, Susanne Dunlap, who’s a novelist and a book coach. Susanne helps writers dig down to find the heart and soul of the story buried in their research, and craft it into a manuscript that will keep readers turning the pages.
So, Susanne came into the conversation with two big goals. Her latest book will be released in August and she wants to use that big event to accomplish two things:
Sell books and get more traction for her writing.
Attract book coaching clients - who wouldn’t want to work with a book coach who’s actually published several books, right?
But these two goals created confusion and overwhelm for Susanne because she just wanted to do all the things… right away… at the same time.
Can you relate?
But when Susanne answered the question — “What’s the point?” — things became very clear, very quickly and we came up with a super exciting, goal aligned marketing plan for her.
I can't wait for you to find out what we came up with, so let’s get down to it, shall we?

Today’s episode was so much fun to record and I cannot wait for you to dive in!
My guest is Stephanie Dethlefs. She helps writers who have a story on their heart find clarity and accountability so they can finally write their novels.
Stephanie is ready to introduce power groups to her community. And, well, I love designing power groups! That’s one reason this episode was so much fun for me!
So, what are power groups exactly? That’s the term we use inside the Hive for small group coaching.
And Stephanie wants to offer power groups for 2 reasons:
There are some people in her world who really want to work with her, but private coaching is just outside of their budget. So, a power group provides more accessible pricing.
There are also some folks in Stephanie’s world who might benefit MORE from a group experience than private coaching.
Together, Stephanie and I dig into the nuts and bolts of how to structure her power groups so she can get the first one filled before the fall.
If you’re thinking about layering in a group offering so you can begin to scale, make sure you’re prepared to take some notes because this episode is jam packed with goodness.
Let’s get going…

Today, we’re going to talk about marketing. Listen, I believe that marketing should never leave a bad taste in your mouth. And my guest, Christina Smith, agrees. She’s also really clear that she doesn’t want to spend all of her time marketing instead of coaching. So together we started to create a marketing plan designed to leverage what’s already working in her business and eliminate all of the extras. Let me introduce you to Christina Smith. She helps women build authentic confidence so they can finally like themselves. And Christina feels like she’s done an excellent job of mastering the list building habits we teach inside The Hive. So, now it’s time to decide what, if anything to layer in next. Maybe a podcast or more free workshops or even a Youtube channel… Whatever it is, Christina wants to experience more lead gen and a deeper connection with her audience. And together, we do come up with a bit of a plan, so let’s dive into the episode! This week we’re going to take our course launching conversation even further with my guest, Matthew Eriksen.
Matthew is a very gifted designer and brand expert. He helps service-based entrepreneurs put themselves out there with a clear, confident, and cohesive brand so they can spend less time worrying about the look and feel of their business and more time doing what they love.
Matthew really wants to help as many purpose driven business owners as he can and he understands that not everyone is in a position to hire his full-service branding team.
So, Matthew wants to take his proven branding system and turn it into a course.
But a few questions stand in his way.
What’s the best way to deliver this course?
What the heck should I call my course?
Is my list big enough to actually launch?
Matthew and I tackle those three burning questions during today’s episode and by the end of our conversation, he felt clear and super confident about getting his course out in the world before the end of the year.
The best part though.. Is that his launch goal is different from what you might expect. But you’ll have to stick around until the end of the episode to find out what it is.
So, let’s dive into a powerful course launch conversation with Matthew Eriksen.

This episode dives into one of my favorite things to teach about.
Course Launches.
This might surprise you because we don’t talk about course launching very often on this show, but launching is actually one of my super powers.
But there’s a good reason why this show doesn’t over-emphasize course launches. And that’s because too many experts in the online space tout the myth that anybody can just use your life experience to create a course and once you do… it’ll somehow miraculously just sell and voila… you’ve got a six, seven, even eight figure business on your hands.
There are a lot of steps that must happen in order for your business to reap the benefits of a scaled offering, such as a course — which is why inside The Hive we practice The Ripple Effect System.
But… believe me when I tell you that a successful course launch is indeed in your future.
And that’s where today’s guest, Elizabeth Ruth has found herself.
Yet, Elizabeth came into our conversation with a lot of doubts and specific questions she needed addressed in order to give herself permission to finally launch her course.
Elizabeth is the proud owner of ER Marketing Services. Her team helps entrepreneurs implement the systems they need to knock their marketing out of the park. She has a proven system that can easily become a course and our goal during this episode was to turn her course into a reality.
If you want to design and launch a course — the right way — grab a pen and paper because you’ll want to take a bunch of notes.
And, now… let’s talk courses, shall we?

Today’s bonus episode will take the quiz conversation we started on Sunday’s episode even further because my favorite Quiz Expert will share some important things to consider before you design a quiz. So, let me introduce Chanti Zak. Chanti is a business growth coach, strategist, and agency owner sometimes lovingly known as the quiz queen (though she doesn’t really call herself that), she’s the Chief Evangelist at Interact, mom of 3, and an amateur homesteader. Today, Chanti and I will talk about why quizzes are a perfect lead magnet for coaches and some invisible yet all too common mistakes people make when they create their quiz. I even made one of them myself! What I love about Chanti is how she helps values-driven brands build a thriving ecosystem in their businesses through her programs and done-for-you services. Okay, before I hand the mic over to Chanti, I want to encourage you to follow her on instagram. She’s @ChantiZak and, of course, check out chantizak.com to take her quiz! We are back to talk some more about lead magnets and today we’ll get pretty specific and focus on how to design a quiz. My guest today is Valerie Recore. She helps overwhelmed moms spend quality time with their families without feeling pulled in too many directions, giving them a sense of control over their days without guilt or chaos. And Valerie wants a lead magnet that’s easy for her audience to engage with and doesn’t just contribute to their very long to-do list. And I think we came up with a really fun idea inspired by my favorite lead magnet – the quiz. Quizzes are so fantastic because, well, who doesn’t want to take a 90 second quiz and learn a bit more about themselves?? And when you put intentional effort into your quiz, your audience can feel incredibly seen and understood. Which of course, helps them trust you. Be sure to tune in on Thursday this week because we’re going to take the quiz conversation further with Chanti Zak (who truly is the Quiz Queen). And the perfect place to start is today’s episode with Valerie… so dive in! My guest today is Aissa Thalia. She came into the episode knowing that she needs to update her lead magnet to match her target audience.
Aissa is a happiness expert who helps actors that haven’t booked work in a while feel great, happy and confident regardless of their booking status.
And she didn’t want just any lead magnet.
She wanted something that stands out and feels like, what I call, experiential marketing. That's the kind of marketing that gives folks a true and accurate taste of what it’s like to work with you.
So, some sort of pdf download wasn’t going to cut it.
After some brainstorming and troubleshooting, Aissa and I came up with a fantastic lead magnet idea that checks all the boxes:
It has a clear promise
It’s easy to implement
It’s unique to Aissa
And… it relies on experiential marketing
I’m not going to tell you what it is… you’ll have to listen in to find out.
And before you dive in, be sure to have a notebook handy because you’ll want to walk yourself through the same process Aissa and I follow so you can check all the boxes on your lead magnet too.
And with that… let’s dive in.

If you know you have a big mission as a coach, you’re going to love today’s episode. My guest today is Jennifer Apple. Jennifer has a super big mission which is to give women and non-binary artists a community where they can build a sustainable & thriving career in the arts. And Jennifer has a lot of strong beliefs about what’s broken in her industry, about the kind of support that’s missing for artists, and she’s committed to doing something about it. Her beliefs are so clear and strong and she’s got the experience to back them up. So, we just needed to talk through how to infuse those core beliefs into a cohesive message that helps her dream clients KNOW that her program is THE program for them. I am guessing you can relate to that gap we’ve all felt between the passion we hold in our hearts and the words we need to put on the page in order to communicate that passion. This conversation left me googling all things biohacking afterward because my guest, Tanessa Shears, is really onto something. She’s committed to helping business owners, just like us, be more productive, happy and impactful in our work thanks to biohacking. What’s biohacking? Great question. Essentially, biohacking is the practice of making incremental lifestyle or health changes to improve your personal performance. I’ll let Tanessa tell you all about it. But the part of biohacking we dove into is… SLEEP. One of my favorite pastimes. Tanessa will reveal the truth about how much sleep we actually need to perform at our best and how to improve the quality of your sleep to accomplish bigger goals in your business. Here’s a question: what the heck are you supposed to talk about when you don’t have anything to sell?
Once your client roster is full and you’ve moved into a launch model with a course or group program, it’s hard to promote your offerings when they’re not actually available.
That’s the issue today’s guest faced. Her name is Sarah Light. She’s the creator of the beautiful yearly planner called Sol Planners. BTW… we’ve linked to her gorgeous planners in the show notes. I have one and it’s so super yummy.
Sarah sells a lot of planners from October to about Mid February. After that, she doesn’t have any offerings… and doesn't want them.
Yet, because her business serves coaches, she gets the importance of list building and engaging your audience. But that’s always felt off because how much can you really talk about planners in June, right?
But the two of us do a pretty good job of creating a year-long marketing plan designed to maintain a solid connection with her audience and build up a ton of anticipation for the glorious day when the next year’s planners drop.
Even though Sarah sells a product and you may be a coach, you likely need a year long marketing plan so that when you do move into a launch or a client surge, your audience is waiting with bated breath to dive in.
So let’s get into it…

You know when you meet those people who immediately make you want to strategize a plan to become best friends? Cindy is one of those people for me.
Truthfully, immediately after she helped me hire our Project Lead, Julie, I said to my team… I can’t wait to hire somebody else just so I can work with Cindy again.
And Cindy is here today to help you avoid some of the most common hiring mistakes coaches make. Now, before you decide this episode doesn’t apply to you because your business isn’t quite big enough to have a team… think again.
Whether you need to hire your very first VA or like me, you’ve got a few full-time employees, you will learn essential lessons that will set you, the contractors or employees you hire AND your business up for long term success.
A bit more about Cindy before we dive in… She’s a hiring expert, leadership coach, and founder of Amelia Dee, a company that helps online coaches find, assess, and hire the right talent for their growing teams.
After spending 15 years making the hiring process fair and easy for hundreds of leaders, Cindy has seen it all. Now she helps online coaches make sound hiring decisions so they can step into their leadership potential with team members who are connected to their mission.

The online world talks so much about overcoming objections. There are entire courses on overcoming objections. There are strategies and tips and all of this talk about how to convert more clients by overcoming their objections.
Here's the problem with that line of thinking, as values driven coaches, we don't want to be against our clients ever. So the idea of overcoming objections feels like coercion, manipulation, or at the very least “me against you”. And that is no way to enroll dream clients.
Inside of Client Surge, as well as in The Hive, we reframe this idea of overcoming objections and instead look at how we can help our clients address concerns. When you're in a sales call, it's so important to use your coaching skills to help your client arrive at an empowered decision about whether or not they want to work with you. And I want to show you what that looks like in action, especially when it comes to the biggest objection we often receive in discovery calls and sales conversations, and that is..you guessed it..money.
One of the things that we do inside of Client Surge are pop up playbacks, where students record practice sales calls that they run with each other. And then we watch the sales calls live together, play by play, and I break down what worked, what didn't and why.
In this episode, you’ll hear something that occurred at the end of one of these playbacks when one of my client surge students asked if I would role play, “addressing the money concern”.
If after listening to this, you feel inspired to deepen your enrollment skills. It's a sign that client surge is the perfect next step for you. Enrollment is now open for client surge and you can register at JoinClientSurge.com.
Now, give yourself the gift of 13 minutes of watching this training and then go and grab your spot in client surge. And with that, I hope you enjoy this role play of addressing the money concern.

If you’re a values driven coach and you want a clear path to more clients without complicated strategies or sketchy sales tactics, this episode is for you.
I’ve invited three coaches to talk about what they learned to bring in 18 new clients and counting using Client Surge as their guide.
Before we dive in, I want you to know that on Tuesday, May 3rd 2022, the doors to Client Surge will open. Client Surge is my proven step by step process to help you find 7 paying clients in 30 days.
We will kick enrollment off with a free workshop called Clients From Scratch. This class will teach you all about client centered selling, so whether you decide to join me inside the full paid course or not, the free workshop is a must.

GAPS stands for Gut And Psychology Syndrome. It’s an eating protocol that can bring a ton of benefits to children in particular who face a wide range of mental, physical and emotional challenges.
I’ll let Emma tell you more during the episode. But first I want to remind you to grab a spot for Clients From Scratch. It’s a free workshop I’ll host next week to kick off enrollment for Client Surge.

Okay, back to Emma… There is no shortage of leads or interest in her world. But the parents who join her for a sales call don’t often turn into clients.
So throughout this episode Emma and I explore how she can create clear expectations, address concerns and give these parents the help they need before the sales call happens and, of course, at the end of the call when it’s time to actually sell.
If your discovery sessions don’t convert into clients regularly, keep listening because you’ll learn some simple adjustments you can make to sign more clients and know that you’re truly serving people.

Rebecca niched into working with coaches because after taking all the business courses, she saw them continuously struggling to get clients because NONE of those courses covered the foundations clearly enough. Surrounded by incredible coaches who were floundering and QUITTING their businesses, way too early, she decided to do something about it. Inside this episode, Rebecca drops some serious truth bombs all about simplicity in your business, the myth of course launching, and why every one of us should build solid foundations before we even think about scaling. Rebecca and I share the same perspective — which is that your business doesn't have to be as complicated as the internet makes it seem. And this episode will help you simplify things. Today’s episode is extra juicy because I think most of us have had those moments when we feel a potential client slipping away on you because you give too much coaching away for free.
Now, there is a time and place to actually give coaching away for free. Which is a super smart and effective strategy. WHEN you actually use it as a strategy.
But if you’re giving coaching away outside of sales calls, you’re not doing your job. And believe it or not, you’re not helping people.
What I’m describing easily happens when we center ourselves in a discovery session or sales call instead of centering the client.
So, if you find that your sales conversations don’t easily turn into paying clients, please join me for an upcoming free workshop for values driven coaches.
It’s called Clients From Scratch and you’ll learn why client centered selling is the only approach for values driven coaches AND how to apply it in your coaching business.

Over the next two episodes, we’re going to talk about what - inside the Hive - we call your Dream Client Power Statement (or DCPS).
A DCPS is the way you concisely describe the people you serve and results you help them achieve.
Over and over again, I see the difference a strong DCPS can have on every coach, no matter how long you've been in business. Which is interesting because for some of us, the DCPS isn’t something we ever say verbatim. Yet, it’s this anchor that bolsters our confidence and our message.
So, my guest today is Laurie Shiers whose business has been evolving and it’s time to find the words to keep up with this evolution.
Laurie and I get really clear on the two offerings she’ll provide both of which offer the same outcome. From there… we get kinda sorta pretty close to a rock solid DCPS for her.
But we don’t quite nail it.
Here’s what’s fun… about 24 hours after our recording session, Laurie sent me the most amazing email with a perfected and totally inspiring DCPS inside.
Let me share it with you and then we’ll dig into the episode so you can follow along and clarify your own DCPS just like Laurie did.
Okay, so Laurie Shiers helps people do the things they’ve been dreaming about. If you’re afraid you might die with your gifts still hidden inside, I’ll help you get your ideas out of your head and into the world—and do it with joy, passion and purpose.
Pretty great, right?

I am such a big fan of today’s guest, so I’m really happy you tuned into this bonus episode featuring Jereshia Hawk.
Jereshia is a business coach and sales expert who grew her business from $0-2 million in less than 4 years with organic marketing, a lean team, and high profit margins.
Her mission is to narrow the racial wealth gap. She's dedicated to seeing more coaches leave a positive impact and create a lasting legacy by leveraging the profit from their business to contribute to the growth of their personal net-worth.
Jereshia is really good at helping you position and sell your group coaching program because you have a proven signature system.
And today we’re going to talk about:
The milestones a coach should reach that tell it’s time to expand beyond 1:1.
Powerful questions you can ask yourself to figure out the best business model for you.
Common mistakes coaches make when they try to scale their business
And be sure to stick around til the end because there’s this really funny moment where I tried to be all polite about the sketchy sales tactics we so often see online and Jereshia’s response is priceless.
I don’t want to wait another minute. So get ready to take notes and enjoy this inspiring conversation with Jereshia Hawk.

FREE QUIZ: Coaching Super Power Quiz - https://dallastravers.com/quiz
Today, we will continue the conversation about lead magnets that we started in last week’s episode. So, if you haven’t listened yet, I recommend you go back and listen to me and Nic Frick design her lead magnet with intention. Then, when you come back, you’ll hear me and Randi Roberts talk through three important things… 1. How to determine when it’s time to have more than one lead magnet 2. How to build your lead magnet backward from the promise of the course, package your program you intend to offer. 3. And how to let your lead magnet be easy. Randi was on the show about a year ago and you’ll also hear how much has changed for her in that time, so our entire conversation is really inspirational. Before we dive in, let me tell you a bit about Randi…
She helps mid-career professionals find the best fit for the next phase. Whether they’re mid-career and they’ve lost their passion for their work or they’re beginning to think about retirement, Randi helps them get clear and get excited about what comes next. And with that, let’s dive back into lead magnets… CONNECT WITH RANDI: www.corlinrobertscoaching.com https://www.facebook.com/groups/fulfillingcareerhappylife CONNECT WITH ME: INSTAGRAM: http://instagram.com/dallastraversbizmentor FREE Coach Class: http://watchthecoachclass.com/
We gotta talk about list building — It’s something that a lot of coaches put on the back burner because they’re overwhelmed or unsure about the best strategies to implement.
And yet, list building is the crucial step you’ve gotta embrace if you ever want to expand beyond 1:1 coaching… And I don’t want you to wait until you’re ready to launch a course before you start to build your list.
List building takes some time, so set yourself up for success NOW by making it a priority in your business.
To help you feel more confident around this, I’m going to dedicate the next few episodes to list building and lead magnets.
Up first is Nic Frick who helps new moms find exactly the job they want so that they can add more joy and ease to their lives.
Nic came into our conversation feeling like lead magnets are gross and was unsure about how to deliver a lead magnet that’s truly valuable without being overwhelming.
So, first we worked to design the right lead magnet for her business model and her values (AND aligns with what her dream clients actually NEEDS first).
And here’s the cool thing… After we got really clear about the intention and design of her lead magnet, most of Nic’s icky feelings about lead magnets just evaporated.
If you find yourself staring at a blank screen and getting overwhelmed anytime you sit down to design your lead magnet, this episode is a must listen.

Today’s episode is a doozie because I’m willing to bet that at least once in your coaching journey, you’ve wondered if you really have what it takes to make your business really work.
We’ve all been there… including my guest, Dani Abernathy who throughout her life has experienced this theme of feeling like an outsider. Dani looked at successful coaches out there and really worried that there was something broken inside her, which prevented her from having success, finding clients, and making money.
So she and I had an honest heart to heart about what success really means to her and how she can rely on two tools to ground herself when she begins to spiral in self-doubt and feelings of other-ness.
The first is simply a physical pattern interrupt, not to distract her from what are very real feelings, but rather to give her a fresh perspective and hopefully reveal more options for how to move forward.
The second is what I’ll call Dani’s Success Plan Litmus Test to help her let go of any judgments or assumptions about why a plan won’t work for her and instead, use her natural skills and resources to make a success plan all her own.
I know I’ve said it before, but this episode is absolutely one of my favorites, so I hope it helps you in your own moments of self doubt because here’s what I know for sure…
Dani is built for success. So am I and so are you…

My guest today is Ana Sanson who helps work-from-home moms reconnect with themselves so they can feel peace in their family, confidence in themselves, and productive at work.
Ana has fallen into the same hole a lot of us values-driven coaches fall into from time to time…
Proving worth instead of providing value.
What does that look like?
Proving worth is self-centered and fear motivated. We get nervous that our clients aren’t making enough progress, so we pile on more tools, more time, more stuff to “help them”. When in fact all that stuff just creates overwhelm and confusion.
Providing value on the other hand is client-focused. We bring our best selves to every client, but we also understand that our #1 job is to hold space and honor each client’s unique journey.
So, Ana and I recalibrated a bit today. We brought her back to the client-centered approach of providing value.
And we did it with one simple question…
“What do you believe in?”
If you ever worry that you're not doing enough for your clients, this conversation will help you simplify your message and your offerings so that you can provide value instead of simply proving worth.
Let’s dig into it…

Do you ever wish you had the perfect words to describe what you do? A sentence or two that encompasses precisely who you help and how you help them?
Inside the Hive, we call it a Dream Client Power Statement and hallelujah we finally found one for today’s guest Karey Spransy.
Now, Karey is a go-getter. She’s a very gifted coach, and she’s overcome a lot of challenges in her own life.
Karey’s also pretty good at converting leads into clients during her sales calls.
But let’s be honest… Karey just needs more sales calls. She wants to get in front of more people, but up until now… that hasn’t been happening.
Inside the Hive, Karey and I have gone back and forth searching for the right Dream Client Power Statement because when you land on a powerful message… it opens the doors to more referrals, more leads, more sales calls, more clients.
Well, I am happy to report that today… Karey and I landed on a message that is unapologetically HER. Now, I know that I usually share our guests Dream Client Power Statements when I introduce the episode, but not today…
I don’t want to ruin the surprise.
So with that… let’s walk through the sometimes messy process of finding an authentic, unapologetic message.

My guest today is Bex Burton who is a love and relationship coach. And, over the last 18 months, Bex has struggled to attract clients.
Now, client attraction hasn’t always been this challenging for Bex, so we’ve both been on the hunt for that missing link Bex’s business really needs.
I actually came into this episode feeling kinda frustrated because Bex is awesome and her work truly helps people… so what the heck have we been missing?
Inside the Hive, we’ve been working on niching down for Bex and we’ve gotten close… we just hadn’t totally nailed it yet.
But today’s conversation was a turning point because rather than sticking to the traditional, often surface level approach to niching, Bex and I took a three-pronged approach.
We focused on her audience and their shared experience, her process and what makes it unique from other love coaches out there, and Bex’s stance… what matters most to her.
With this deeper approach to niching, Bex and I uncovered three things:
The core pillars all of her content must connect back to in order to pack a punch.
The value of reflecting her client’s beliefs and lived experience in her message
And, the excitement that comes when you're willing to go all in on your stance in your marketing
If you ever wonder how the heck to narrow your niche without pigeon-holing yourself, this episode is a must-listen. So, let’s get started.

Most of the coaches who tune into this show don’t have a big support staff taking care of every little thing in the business. For a lot of us… the buck stops with us.
Which means that time is our most precious resource.
My guest today is Jacque Hamilton who helps new writers create a strong emotional connection between their characters and the reader so they can publish their work and write for a living.
And on top of her coaching work, she is a committed mom and an avid athlete.
Now, Jacque doesn’t have a lot of extra time and she came into the show wanting a plan to optimize every moment inside her business.
So, Jacque and I talk through a process she can follow to help her feel completely confident that the actions she chooses to focus on are the right ones.
What I loved about this conversation is that Jacque’s plan is completely customizable and actually built to change depending on the weather… literally…
So, if you never feel like there’s not enough time to get all the things done in your day, please grab a pen and paper to follow along. The truth is that you can’t get it all done in a day, so what you choose to do really matters.

Today’s episode is going to tackle something we’ve all experienced…
Self Doubt.
Listen, I’ve been in business for 20 years now and I still have moments of self-doubt. Luckily, they don’t happen very often and they don’t last for long.
But what about when your business is newer? Or what about if you’ve been at this coaching thing for a while and you feel like you should be further along than you are?
“I’ve worked so hard and I just don’t seem to be getting anywhere.”
That’s how today’s guest felt coming into our conversation. Her name is Naomi Geidel and she helps creative people take inspired action toward their dreams.
I’m so grateful for the conversation Naomi and I shared because she bravely talked about the self doubt and stuckness we’ve all been through.
And because she was so brave, we were able to craft a plan to help her not only get unstuck but to use her natural strengths to move forward faster in her business.
Now, Naomi asked for a plan to get unstuck which is exactly what we created and it had three phases.
If you ever worry that you should be further along or you wonder if you have what it takes to make this coaching thing really work… today’s episode is precisely what the doctor ordered. I hope you enjoy it!

I’m sure most of us can agree that as much as we love coaching, selling can often feel like a necessary evil. And because we don’t love selling, we don’t practice and therefore, we don’t ever get better at selling.
But what if you could transform your sales avoidance into a passion for selling?
Sounds like a big leap, doesn’t it?
My guest today is Annie P Ruggles who says she was the single most sales avoidant coach for years - even though she was a marketing consultant.
Annie watched too many heart-centered businesses struggle to sell. Even her clients who had flawless marketing, but zero selling skills because they modeled Annie - who as I mentioned was completely sales avoidant.
So, Annie had to redefine selling for herself, unlearn all the behaviors that felt out of integrity, and fall in love with the true art of selling in order to help her own business, as well as serve her clients.
Today, Annie and I talk about how to overcome sales avoidance and we even compare notes of our separate approaches to sales conversations.
No matter how comfortable (or uncomfortable) you are asking for the sale, you’ll gain some valuable insight from our conversation. So, with that… let’s dive into the episode.

Today’s episode is a special one because we’re going to tackle the most common question I get asked...which is, “how can I find more paying clients?”
But I’m not going to answer that question for you. Instead, I’ve invited four coaches, just like you to do it.
Toya Gavin, Laser Malena Webber, Leigh Cambre, and Benno Nelson all came into the Hive asking me this very question. And within a matter of months, all four learned exactly how to nail their marketing message to attract perfect-match leads, and then, host authentic, non-salesy discovery sessions to turn those leads into happy paying clients.
This episode comes at the perfect time because the new year is approaching and I’m willing to bet you’ve got big client-getting goals ahead of you.
Which is why I want to invite you to join me for a special free workshop called Clients From Scratch I’ll host next week. I’m going to share the exact framework I’ve used to keep a full client roster for over a decade and the same one I teach my Hive members.

I am flying solo today because I want to talk about Three Non Gross Ways to Close More Sales in 2022.
If you've listened to more than a few episodes of this show, you've probably heard the topic of Client Surge come up when I'm coaching Hive members. It comes up often because, depending on how you look at it, it's the first or second major milestone that Hive members cross.
And it's a proven formula to find clients, right?
In my opinion, It's really the simplest and most authentic path to find clients, especially when starting out. So while I normally only offer Client Surge inside the Hive, I see how many of you need this system, almost as a way to give yourself permission to go all in on a full year of mentorship with me.
So this December, I am going to open enrollment for Client Surge.
Now, whether you decide to join me inside Client Surge or not, please mark your calendar for December 14th because Client Surge enrollment is going to kick off with a special free workshop called Clients from Scratch. You can grab your spot at Clients from Scratch right now by heading to dallastravers.com/clients. So inside of that workshop, we're going to cover a lot of ground, which is why I wanted to record this solo episode.
I have a lot to say about how values driven coaches can find more clients more easily, and it all can't fit into one workshop.
So specifically today, I'm going to share three tools to utilize inside of a discovery session or a sales conversation to help you feel great, really serve your clients and also enroll more clients.
So before we dive into the episode, go to Dallastravers.com/clients to get in on Clients from Scratch happening on December 14th. If you’ve ever had that oh-no moment when a client says YES and you realize you don’t have an easy way to collect payments, you’re not even sure if you should do that before a contract gets signed and speaking of contracts, you don’t even have one in place…
This episode is for you because I am spilling the beans about all things onboarding. In today’s episode I walk Nzinga Moore through the exact workflow I follow whenever I sign a new client.
You see, Nzinga is a smart cookie because her coaching business is about to officially launch and she wants to get all of her administrative ducks in a row before then.
Nzinga Moore helps actors breakthrough their mental and emotional stuckness to move past doubt, overwhelm, and burnout and finally follow through on their purpose without excuses or fears.
I had so much fun walking Nzinga through how to: Set up automatic monthly billing Send a contract after you collect payments Get that first session on the books so your new client doesn’t back out Avoid overwhelming your client with too much prep work And easily track your clients progress without wasting hours writing recap notes
If your new client onboarding process isn’t smooth like butter, grab a pen and paper because this episode is right up your alley.
And if you like what you hear and you want to get your hands on all the templates we discuss, you can get on the waitlist at NewClientNowWhat.com.

Okay, let’s talk about the problem with Hustle Culture, shall we?
My guest today is Ketetha Olengue who is a Resident Physician In Training, and also runs a coaching program called Developing Doc. Her program helps medical students who envision a bright and rewarding future get clarity on what they actually want as a physician.
Developing Doc started out of a place of necessity and has since transformed into a meaningful mission for Ketetha.
She came into our conversation hoping to walk away with a sustainable plan for her business while she completes the last two and a half years of her residency.
And we did create that plan. But rather than a plan, we really created space for Ketetha to breathe during this extremely busy phase in her life.
You see, Ketetha has no experience “moving slow” in life, so she has been running her business with the belief that she needed to grow it “now or never”.
This Hustle Culture approach ate away at Ketetha’s confidence and caused her to question whether or not her business is viable.
By the end of our conversation, Ketetha was able to make a confident decision and have actionable steps to take toward her long term vision.
If you ever find yourself believing the lie of hustle culture this episode is for you.

Have you ever had those moments where a potential new client gushes over the free content you put out, the way you put yourself out there, and the work that you do? They can’t say enough good stuff about how much you’ve already helped them and how they can’t wait to work with you... one day... when they’re ready?
While this compliment might feel great, it's mostly just confusing because you see so clearly how you could help this person accomplish their goals really easily. You also understand that the idea of being ready… isn’t exactly real. We work with coaches because we don’t know how to move forward, so what does ready even look like, right?
When situations like this happen often, you might get discouraged and wonder “what am I doing wrong? “People say I’m so awesome, and yet nobody wants to hire me.”
If what I just described rings a bell, you’ll love today’s episode.
My guest is Chris Vaglio who is a super dynamic, successful, and smart guy who came into our conversation wondering this very thing.
Chris is a business and personal branding coach who helps creative business owners build a rock star brand to get noticed, feel confident and bring in more clients.
And while Chris didn’t really see it, I noticed something that I see in other Hive members as well. For lack of a better word, let’s call it the intimidation factor. As a coach, you may look like you’ve got it all going on and people just assume that they aren’t ready or don’t have that same special sauce that you do, so the idea of working with you is kind of intimidating.
I had a feeling that the intimidation factor might be the thing standing between Chris and all the clients he dreams of.
So, we dug into how to best approach this odd phenomenon and create a permission structure that allows clients to feel confident about hiring you.
This included two key pieces.
First, simply narrating what’s actually going on in your marketing and your sales conversations.
Second, believe it or not… niching way down to turn the client's decision from a “that sounds cool for some day down the road” to an “oh! I need to work with you right now.”
Lots of ground to cover in what’s been one of my favorite episodes so far… let’s dive in shall we?

Okay, all my life coaches, authenticity coaches, health coaches, confidence coaches, everybody out there who’s really good at listening to your client and offering up custom tools or insight that completely transforms their lives… this episode is for you.
Because I’m willing to bet that you haven’t given much thought to your signature process because no two clients are the same and no two coaching sessions look alike. That's probably what you love so much about the work you do.
Yet… those of us in the moment, meet the client where they’re at and help them move forward kinda coaches can sometimes struggle to find the words to accurately represent the work we do.
Nothing can really come close, yet if the only way to truly understand the power of our work is through experiencing it… self promotion and marketing can be a struggle.
That was the case for today’s guest, Leigh Cambre. He helps optimistic overachievers find balance and room to breathe without losing their edge.
And Leigh is truly an excellent coach with a lot of training under his belt and tools in his pocket.
Which made it difficult for Leigh to find a catchy slogan or marketing jargon to describe his work. Which, in turn, can make it difficult to bring in more clients.
So, Leigh and I walked through a pretty cool exercise that revealed his signature process. We even gave it a name - The Cambre Method. Now, does Liegh’s bright, shiny signature process cover everything he does for his clients? Nope. Does it come close… you better believe it.
If you’re a coach who’s work covers a broad range of results and your biggest strength is your ability to simply serve your clients, grab a pen and extra paper because I hope you’ll follow along with my conversation with Leigh to create your signature process too.
Let’s have some fun!

Whether your business is brand new or growing rapidly, I bet you’ve gone through periods where, in order to get to the next level, you have to let something go.
That was the case for today’s guest, Megan Detrick who is a Spiritual life coaches eXvangelicals and those seeking inclusive faith.
Megan works full time in ministry inside her church, so time is her most limited resource.
And though she knows she wants to grow, she wasn’t ready to let her ministry work go.
So, Megan came into our session sorta stuck between a rock and a hard place.
Until we dug into her bigger vision for her life and the impact she wants to make.
You see, her vision is also serving more eXvangelicals to help them feel a sense of belonging and transition into a faith practice that aligns with their values.
On top of that, Megan wants her business to afford her the resources to purchase a home on a large piece of land so she can foster children and ensure everyone in the family feels spacious and welcome.
And in order for her to do those things it's time to transition (slowly or quickly) out of the full time ministry work that she’s doing so that her business and her family have room to grow.
If you feel like you’ve hit a turning point and something has to give in order to move to the next level, I think you’ll love my conversation with Megan.
Let’s get into it.

Today I am sharing the third and final part of our Greatest Hits series. In this episode, we are focusing on Building Your Team. A common trap I see a lot of coaches fall into is waiting way too long to hire. We look at the price tag and think “I can’t afford that”. Instead of asking the question...“How much is possible by adding this person to my team?”
So, whether your business is newer or you’ve been at this for a while, I want you to check out these four episodes to inspire you to hire, but also lead a team, well.
First up, Episode 13 with Sarah Gaboury. I think we all know the feeling of overwhelm that can come when we work by ourselves...all the time...on our laptops. Sarah came into this episode feeling too busy to even think about the hiring process, let alone who to hire and how to onboard a new team member. But during our conversation we were able to come up with a simple process to help her get crystal clear on what she can hand off AND determine the qualities needed in an awesome virtual assistant.
Next is a two parter - Episode 14 + 15 with Malika Williams. In Episode 14, Malika and I talked through the vision for what’s next in her business (and realized she was even closer than she realized to that vision). Once we got clear on the vision, drilled down some next steps, we talked about “how to hire”. That’s what you’ll hear in Episode 15. We talk through the phases we all go through in our business.. Expansion and Containment. Listen to this episode if you’re ready to give your permission to hire quickly and want to know the best position to fill first.
Last but certainly not least, I have Episode 37 with Tianna Tye. She is an expert in all things team dynamics. She is basically a genius on delegation. Which for those of us who have worked by ourselves (forever) delegation can be so tricky. So, in our conversation we talk all about the right way to onboard your team, and the importance of setting clear expectations and Key Performance Indicators. If you want to hire now or anytime in the future, you MUST listen to this episode.
If you’ve been putting off hiring because you feel too busy or overwhelmed by the thought of starting the hiring process, I sincerely hope that these episodes inspire you to take the leap. I can’t wait to hear all that you glean from these episodes.

We are back with Part 2 of our three part “Greatest Hits” series. Today we want to highlight episodes that can help you to Build Your Confidence. If you ever feel that your confidence (or lack of) holds you back from reaching your full potential, or really going after what you want for yourself and your business — you’ve got to check out these three episodes. The first episode I’m recommending you dive into is Episode 39 with Angela Vorpahl. If you ever feel invisible or worry your work doesn’t matter, you must listen to my conversation with Angela. This was a real and vulnerable conversation around how Angela had been wrestling with a lot of the same fears and inner critic stuff we all experience. Inside this episode, we uncover the parts of Angela that felt undeserving or less than and worked to give those aspects a voice so that she could learn to let go and move forward.
Next up is episode 6 with Katy Chen Mazzara. Katy was READY to scale her biz but she recognized that she was holding herself back because she was afraid to put herself out there. She wanted to go live on Instagram, show up online more, and even pitch herself on podcasts. So in our conversation we tackled how her fears were holding her back from doing those things (and more) and how she could take practical steps to move forward. If you see that your fears of being visible hold you back from going all in, go and check out Episode 6.
Last but not least, is Episode 22 with Randi Roberts. We all have those moments when we feel stuck and sabotage ourselves. Whether it’s fear, distraction, perfection or overwhelm, we hold ourselves back from time to time. As human beings, this is NORMAL... it’s also so painful. In this conversation, we dug in to what was holding Randi back and came up with a framework to relate to herself differently. If you feel stuck, check out this episode and think about how you can apply this framework in areas you may be holding yourself back.

This month, we’ve curated a special Greatest Hits series for you. I’m completely biased, of course, because I adore every guest who’s ever been on the show — so putting together a list of greatest hits felt impossible.
But, when I narrowed our search down to three specific categories, it got a little easier.
So, next week, we’ll focus on building your confidence. Then, we’ll highlight my favorite episodes about building your team. But today, we will hone in on building your list.
In today’s episode I will share a brief summary of three previous podcast episodes where we took a deep dive into list building.
First up, Episode 3 with Brian Patacca. In Episode 3, we dig in and talk all about the success Brian found in his business thanks to a rock solid list building strategy.
Second, Episode 5 with Tilita Lutterloh. In this episode, we examined a simple organic marketing strategy to get your lead magnet in front of more eyeballs.
Lastly, Episode 41 with Tamika Auwai. In my conversation with Tamika, she offered one small shift around how to think about content and the flood gates opened up. Hint: Nurture Marketing.
I cannot wait to hear your biggest takeaways from this greatest hits list. So, please be sure to hit me up on Instagram at @dallastraversbizmentor.

I am so excited about today’s episode because it’s been a while since we talked about list building. And, if you want to eventually scale with a course or large group program, your list matters a lot.
In fact, I often see coaches struggle to hit their numbers on their second or third program launches because they’ve ignored list building.
And I don’t want that to happen to you! So, today’s episode is designed to help you grow your list in a simple and connected way.
My guest is Emily Grace who helps actresses/creators write their damn script already and know what to do with it .

My guest today is Jordan Gill who is an expert when it comes to VIP Days. Jordan and I get into the specifics behind what VIP Days are, who should offer them, and how you can design them to serve your clients and expand your business.
This episode is for any coach who loves the intimacy, connection and productivity that comes with VIP Days. But in particular, if you currently only offer 1:1 coaching, I want you to grab a pen and paper because this episode can help you double your offerings and increase your revenue right away.

The myth of “overnight success” is a tired one and it doesn’t serve any of us because, in fact, it’s the slow and steady approach that most reliably leads to a sustainable success.
Why? Because it’s built on habits.
Which, I’ll admit, isn't exactly sexy. Habits aren’t made up of flashy funnels, viral videos, 5 day challenges, or massive summits.
They’re the little steps every coach can take on the daily that add up to massive results.
In this special Permission Granted episode, we’ll talk about why slow and steady is really the only race to run and how you can move forward with more confidence, efficiency and results when you let go of the B.S. idea that quick success is somehow more valuable than the slow burn.
This is the last of our special Permission Granted series, so be sure to reserve your spot for the Permission Granted Workshop coming up later this week. You’ve got three dates you can choose from and you can grab your spot at www.permissiongrantedworkshop.com.

What if I told you that it’s okay to feel like you’re all over the place every now and then?
In fact, if what you want is a values-aligned business, you may find that things look a little chaotic as you dig deeper into your values.
While a lot of coaches do fall into Busy Betty Syndrome because they’re afraid of missing out or they just don’t trust themselves.
Others know that big changes are essential, yet they hold back from making them.
That’s what we’ll talk about today. I want to share the four questions I ask myself when I’m faced with a big decision to help you determine when change is in order and when it’s time to stay the course.

My intention in this bonus episode is to empower you to write your own permission slip to let go of getting things perfect, and just get them going instead.

What would happen if you gave yourself complete permission to go all in on your coaching business?
That’s the question we’ll explore in the first of a special 4-part series called All In.
For me, permission to go all in means allowing my creative intelligence to flow freely in my marketing instead of judging myself as a big ol’ dork.
For our Hive Members permission to go all in means: Buying my first house Starting a family now instead of waiting for the right time Changing my niche to serve the people I truly want to help Giving myself a raise Leaving my 9-5 because my business needs me Letting go of all the programs I’ve tried before that didn’t work out
No matter what permission to go all looks like for you, I invite you to answer the question, “What would happen if you gave that permission to yourself?” as you listen along to this episode.
The All In series is part of a special event I’ll host online later in September. It’s called Permission Granted and it’s for every coach who knows they have more to give and want to make the money they truly deserve.

If you’re growing, your business is changing. So, I guess I’m growing because I’m sure making a ton of changes this year.
Changing the way I approach my goals so they feel like me instead of just being somebody else’s idea.
Closing my Instagram account and starting from scratch.
Setting our entire evergreen funnel on fire so I can add a personal touch to our sales process.
And… even saying goodbye to The Six Figure Coach Club.
Not the program, just the name.
In this episode I’ll walk you through exactly why I’ve ditched the name of my signature program and what that means for you moving forward.
Plus, we’ll look at this decision through the lens of my values (which should always be how we examine our decisions, BTW!).
Be sure to tune in until the end so you can hear the exciting announcement about why I’m closing enrollment too.

My guest today is Laser Malena-Webber. Laser helps motivated musicians and creators grow a genuine fanbase who actually want to pay for their music and then get paid through successful Kickstarter, Patreon, and crowdfunding campaigns. Laser is also a successful musician who’s currently developing a full length musical.
And I’m gonna be honest with you, Laser doesn’t like selling. They’re also not that into a lot of the “coachy” strategies out there.
Yet, Laser wants to expand their reach in order to help more musicians make art without waiting for permission.

My guest today is Izzy Stevens who wishes she was more consistent in her marketing. All the social posts, weekly emails and extra efforts have never felt completely easy for her.
And up until recently, Izzy assumed her big block was fear. It’s hard to put yourself out there, so she figured if she could just build more confidence or get over her fear, then marketing would be a piece of cake.
But, Izzy came to realize that maybe she was giving her fears more credit (or blame!) then they deserved because what she really lacked was clarity.
Izzy’s dream client has shifted since she started coaching, but she hadn’t taken the time to crystalize who her ideal audience is now and what they need to hear.
That’s what Izzy and I dug into during today’s episode. We redefined her target audience and then identified four common themes her ideal clients all face.
And those became Izzy’s core content pillars making the whole content creating thing feel inspiring rather than draining.
So, if you ever wonder if your niche is too narrow or you can’t seem to find the mojo you need to put yourself out there consistently, please tune in. You’ll walk away from this episode with a clear framework to help you engage in an ongoing conversation with the people you most want to help instead of just slogging through more content.

I’m closing down my instagram account and I want to spill the beans on exactly WHY inside this bonus episode.
I know shutting down an account with nearly 12,000 followers may sound like a risky move to make, but I’ve spent the last several months dialing in an actual S-T-R-A-T-E-G-Y.
And I want to find out how well it works when I’m posting on a blank slate.
So, the question here is…
Am I a brave, bold genius to say goodbye to 11.6K followers and start over?
Or…
Am I a fool who just loves to make extra work for herself?

If you ever worry that your business can’t handle all your creative ideas, you’re going to love today’s episode.
Iva Perez, my guest this week, is a newer coach with what she thought were two totally separate businesses she wanted to get off the ground.
After Iva and I dug into her mission and her target audience, we realized that she doesn’t actually have two businesses on her hands. She has two offerings.
So, I teach Iva about The Offerings Bullseye and she gets crystal clear about how her two offerings not only support each other, but ultimately support her audience.
Which is great news because Iva is on a mission to help moms heal themselves and help families build stronger connections. This important work needs a voice like Iva’s and after our conversation she was off and running.
If you ever feel confused or overwhelmed by all the ways you want to help your audience, I think this episode will give you the clarity you need to let things be easy.

I’m just thrilled to introduce today’s guest to you. Her name is Kelli King-Jackson and she helps Black women working in white spaces. She’s been feeling a lot of tension around how to keep her work accessible and equitable while still generating the revenue she deserves.
The first thing Kelli and I did in this session was to get clear on her mission. From there, we crunched some numbers to help Kelli feel clear about how many clients she can serve and at what price point.
… yes you will hear me do math in public, which you know is not my strong suit.
Kelli walked away from our conversation with a three tiered plan in place that aligns with her mission and values and will produce a six figure income.
Here’s what it looks like:
It was so much fun and, once we got clear about her mission and the numbers, it was actually surprisingly easy to create the offerings structure. If you serve an audience that just isn’t in a position to pay the big bucks a lot of coaching programs recommend you charge, you’re going to love this episode.

My guest today is Deb Flashenberg who owns the Prenatal Yoga Center in NYC.
When the pandemic hit last year, Deb quickly pivoted to take her entire studio online. Which was no small feat, considering that Deb offers pre and post natal classes to pregnant people plus she runs a yoga teacher certification program.
Now that the world is opening up again, Deb has been feeling really overwhelmed about how to bring her in person classes back without losing the progress she’s made online, incurring a ton of extra expenses or burning herself out.
Deb and I walked through a simple process to identify her clear priorities and immediate next steps so she can bring in person classes back without feeling stressed.

Okay… I know I’ve said this before and I’ll likely say it again.. But today’s episode of the Six Figure Coach Podcast is my very favorite so far.
My guest today is Benno Nelson who began coaching just a few months ago. After a super successful career as a video editor, Benno now helps video freelancers grow their business, achieve their goals and move from working gig to gig to a prosperous career.
Like a lot of newer coaches (let’s be real… I even fall into this trap from time to time and I’ve been coaching for nearly 20 years!)... Benno has fallen into Over Responsibility.
This occurs when we focus more on proving our worth than we do on providing value to the client.
Benno and I talk through a few ways that overresponsiblity shows up for him and troubleshoot easy solutions so that he can help his clients feel empowered and help himself feel less pressure.
Grab something to take notes on because you’ll learn about how traction reports help your clients stay on track, how Google folders are your new best friend, and even how to structure coaching groups to deliver the same benefit that comes with privates.
There’s a lot packed inside this episode, so let’s get going.

My guest this week is Kirsten Lesser Bridge who helps women that are busy keeping it all together to find more calm and clarity. Kirsten has entered a stage in her life where what matters most is connection and transformation.
Kirsten came into our session craving more clarity about her business model, her message, and her motivation so she can create the right coaching business to match her values and lifestyle instead of just sliding into a formula.
So, we talked about where Kirsten can find more motivation, how she can scale her group program without losing a sense of connection, and why she’s got to experiment with her message in order to draw in the right clients.
If you ever feel like the business models you see out there don’t totally feel like a match for you, this episode just might be the thing to spark some new ideas.

Okay… let’s talk about delegating shall we?
My guest today is Lisa Pepper-Satkin who loves serving her clients. It’s her happy place. What she doesn’t love is all of the admin involved in marketing her business and delivering for her clients.
Lisa has two contractors who work for her and she came into our conversation hoping to figure out a way to improve their performance.
What Lisa and I uncovered pretty quickly was that in order for her team to improve, she had to become a better delegator.
Which makes sense because - probably like you - Lisa started out as a one person show. She got really good at doing all of the things on her own. So, she brought that energy to her team assuming that she'd have to show them every little step involved in their tasks, too.
Her micromanaging ways didn’t feel good for Lisa or her team. And when I shared my all time favorite delegation tool, Lisa’s mind basically blew.
Whether you have a VA who only works a few hours per month, a team of several people, or you’re still working as a one person show, this episode will reveal the best way to delegate a project so you give your team autonomy and everybody understands exactly what success looks like.
Enjoy!

Today’s episode comes directly from a recent 6FCC coaching call where Toya Gavin and I developed a clear, repeatable process to help her overcome her fear of being on camera and start going live on Instagram.
Toya helps Women of Color in the Law find better jobs. And in order to get over her resistance, Toya tapped into a sense of purpose that outweighs all of her fears.

My guest this week is Tammy Cunningham who’s been suffering from enrollment fatigue for nearly a decade.
You know the dread and fear and baggage that comes when it’s time to get into selling mode to fill your next program?
That process has always been a drag for Tammy and we were determined to heal it once and for all.
And you know… I think we actually did.
Tammy realized that she had to let go of the “ghosts of failed launches past” and step into a new and transparent process to fill her upcoming group program.
By the end of the session, Tammy had a routine in place for inner healing, a plan to actually enlist her audience’s support to fill her program, and a clear path to launch, for the first time ever, with a webinar.
It was so much fun to see Tammy shift from burnt out to enlivened as our conversation unfolded. And I know that if you feel done with selling or just fearful about it, this episode will help you too.

Let’s kick things off with a question… Do you ever feel like people love the work you do, yet nobody wants to pay you for it?
That was the case for today’s guest, Jill Valdez. Jill loves helping small business owners bring out the best in their teams to optimize performance and productivity.
In fact, Jill loves helping people so much that she’s always giving her services away for free.
So, Jill needed some concrete tools to move out of the ‘free help zone’ and into the hired consultant zone.
Our conversation was so much fun because by adding just a few tweaks to her discovery session process, we set Jill up to turn her fans into paying clients.
Let’s dive in because this conversation oh so good!

You know those coaching moments when inspiration strikes and you share some insight or feedback that leads to a massive breakthrough for your client and you don’t even totally know what you said?
I live for those moments. They’re the greatest. And one of them happened with this week’s guest, Dana Da Ponte.
Dana helps highly sensitive people and empaths manage the anxiety, overwhelm, self-sabotage or stuckness that comes with their sensitive nature and master the creative and intuitive gifts that come with it.
Though she knows who she loves to serve, Dana has been twisted up in knots about how to serve her audience. She’s a highly sensitive creative person herself, with a lot of ideas and Dana came into our session worried that she’d never land on a structure.
And then the clarity bell rang for us both and Dana figured out exactly how to talk about her work and more importantly give herself permission to go all in on the work she loves most and let the rest of it go.
Even as I record this intro, I cannot tell you exactly what we came up with or how we got there, because our conversation was so inspiration led. But I can tell you that the journey was thrilling. So, if you’ve been stuck around what to offer or how to talk about your work, you’ve gotta join Dana and I on this ride.
Let’s get started.

Today’s episode is different from any other I’ve recorded and I almost decided not to share it with you because my goal with each episode is to serve up some tangible actions you can apply in your own business.
That did not happen this time around.
You know those client sessions that don’t seem to go anywhere right away. Maybe that’s because the client isn’t receptive or you as the coach just aren’t connecting the way you’re accustomed to?
That’s what happened when Denise Gaffney joined me. Denise is a pilates and wellness coach who helps her clients develop a core connection in a holistic way.
Denise is a mom who is very protective of her time and her energy. And she’s noticed a trend which is that no matter how much money the business brings in, she’s never quite able to pay herself the salary she wants.
So, Denise came into the episode looking for a lasting breakthrough around her money mindset.
While she and I both agreed that this was a tall order, we dove in wholeheartedly. And I will say that we got somewhere. But it took work.
Now, I almost didn’t air this episode because I feared it wouldn’t be valuable to you, the listener.
Then, I realized that we’re all coaches here and this episode is a great example of two things:
There will be times when our clients feel such resistance that it’s challenging to make progress. How we meet that resistance matters. During those times, we must honor our client’s process. Even if it doesn’t match our agenda.
While I’m usually pretty good at giving every client the dignity of their own process, I lost track of that in this session. And it shows.
So, rather than ditch the episode, I thought it would be helpful to share it and maybe you’ll gain some insight by witnessing another coach showing up and struggling a bit.
With that, here’s episode #42.

My guest today is Tamika Auwai who pretty much blew my mind three minutes into our interview.
I don’t know if you relate, but for me… content creation can often feel like a pain in the booty must-do task that I dread on the daily.
Tamika offered one small shift around how to think about content and the flood gates opened up. When I think about creating content, it’s a drag. But what I think about nurturing with content, I’m completely lit up.
So we can say goodbye to content creation and hello to nurture marketing.
You see… Tamika is a Nurture marketing expert. She created The Nurture Matrix™, a unique evergreen nurture marketing framework that’s revolutionizing the way that Coaches approach social media and email marketing.
Not only did Tamika blow my mind straight out of the gate, but she also shared simple ways to uncover incredible content, connect more while actually writing less, and some of the best types of nurture content out there right now.

The last time we had Tilita Lutterloh on the show, we talked about a big shift she made in her messaging and ideal client. Since then, Tilita relaunched her signature program and she’s back today to tell you all about it.
I want you to imagine your worst webinar nightmare because it probably happened to Tilita. And yet, the lessons she learned from it and the value that came from it is beyond expectation.
Tilita Lutterloh is a high performance coach who helps purpose driven high achievers get stronger and eat better to perform at their highest level every day. She agreed to bring us all behind the scenes of her six figure journey this year and so far, it’s been a fun ride.
In today’s episode, Tilita and I break down the highs and lows of her webinars. We talk about the fears around raising our rates and the truth about raising our rates. And we also discuss how we both suffer from A Student Syndrome and how that can sometimes be a problem.
There’s lots to unpack, so let’s get into it.

Grab your tissues, folks because today’s episode is a bit of a tear jerker!
I am so impressed with Angela Vorpahl, today’s guest. She brought so much clarity and vulnerability to the episode, I know her struggle is something that most of us wrestle with. So, it was just an honor to coach her during this session.
Angela helps law students get good grades, plain and simple.
Yet, not so simple because Angela knows that good grades aren’t the true benefit her clients get. It’s the stuff that comes with good grades like opportunities, confidence, choices, and freedom.
So, Angela felt some friction around how to talk about her work. She’s also been wrestling with the same fears and inner critic stuff we all deal with.
Inside the episode, Angela and I uncover the parts of her that have felt undeserving or less than. And we worked to give those parts a voice so she can let them go.
Our conversation was very moving for me. And yes, I still found time to talk strategy given the insights we gained when Angela went deep.
If you ever feel like an outsider or worry that you and your work doesn’t matter, please listen to this incredible conversation.
I hope you enjoy it.

Jolene Blackbourn helps prospective law students save time, money and stress so they can be financially free and live the life they always dreamed as an attorney.
Now, Jolene’s industry is known for offering extremely low-priced offers such as a $49 coaching session or perhaps a $15 video training.
Jolene’s course is designed to save law students $300,000 in tuition fees. So, it’s worth a heck of a lot more than a $15 video. Yet, Jolene worried that she would price herself out with a thousand dollar program.
We worked on this inside the Six FIgure Coach Club to help her clarify who her ideal client is. Jolene realized that her ideal client doesn’t want to piece together a plan with a pile of $15 guides. They value prestige and high quality.
Which is exactly what Jolene’s course delivers. So, we basically 10X-ed the price of Jolene’s course.
Which brings me to today’s episode. Jolene and I walk through some tangible changes to 10X her messaging plus some strategies to help more law students take the leap and invest in her course.
If you ever wonder how to talk about your course and make it irresistible, you’ll love my conversation with Jolene.

Back in episodes 13 and 15, I coached two volunteers through creating a hiring plan. But hiring a new team member is the easy part. The real work begins when it’s time to onboard your new hire and set them up for success.
That’s where Tianna Tye comes in. She is the founder of The Leaders’ Circle, and the premier Team Dynamics Consultant for entrepreneurs committed to building high-performing teams to scale their business and reclaim their zone of genius.
Today, Tianna and I talk about the right way to onboard and train your team. Plus, the importance of setting clear expectations and key performance indicators so everybody knows where they stand and what success in their role looks like. Tianna and I also talked about a mistake most coaches make when training (or should I say not training…) their team members. Plus, why it’s important to host regular team meetings for everyone who works for you. Yes, even your VA who clocks 10 hours per month.
As a trained Industrial-Organizational Psychologist, Tianna’s expertise in hiring, team dynamics, and transformational leadership make her a CEO’s secret weapon for managing all things on the “people” side of the business.
I learned so much from our conversation and I’m sure it’ll be the same for you. Before we dig in, I want you to press pause and go grab a fun Daily Work Log Tianna created for you. It’s a great way to audit your time and figure out which tasks you should delegate to a new team member.
She’ll even give you bonus points if you outline which tasks are revenue-generating. Can you say immediate hiring ROI?!

Let’s talk about Xandra Hawes. She’s today’s guest and she’s a very gifted spiritual mentor, psychic and healer. Xandra came into our session feeling unclear about the best way to offer the classic coaching discovery sessions because so many clients come to her first for paid psychic readings rather than free info sessions.
We ironed out two clear paths to invite clients into ongoing work pretty effortlessly and Xandra now feels confident about what we put together.
Along the way, we also talked about pricing and all the big feelings that can come up for those of us committed to impact as much as income. Should you list your prices publicly? What about accessibility for people who may not be able to afford it? If you’re a spiritual person, is it even ethical to charge in the first place?
If you’ve ever struggled with the best way to present your offer in discovery sessions or if you’ve wrestled with pricing questions yourself, I think you’ll get at least a couple of ah-has from my session with Xandra.
I hope you enjoy!

Hi there. It’s Dallas Travers. Your host of The Six Figure Coach Podcast - a show for coaches who care as much about impact as they do about income.
Today’s episode is such a juicy one, especially if you feel stuck around your messaging or the journey you take your clients on.
My guest is Lauren Kester who, before becoming a coach, worked for Saturday Night Live. She also had a strict religious upbringing, which just wasn’t for her. Lauren came into our session relatively clear that she wanted to help women step fully into their power. She also felt pretty attached to infusing clever references to SNL into her client journey.
To be honest, neither of these things were really working. First off, Lauren’s target audience wasn’t clear enough. Secondly, she was overcomplicating her client journey. Both of these things left her feeling unclear and unconfident.
We solved both problems during our conversation and my two big takeaways were this:
If you’re stuck in the muck around your messaging, this episode is for you. Let’s take a listen…

My guest today is Latesha Lynch and I must confess that after we wrapped up recording I blushed and asked her, “can we be friends?”
Latesha is one of those “tell it like it is” entrepreneurs with a common sense approach to business decisions.
Which is so refreshing because while there’s so much hype around charging your worth in the coaching world, Latesha’s case for premium pricing isn’t based on feelings. It’s just based on facts.
So, a little about Latesha…
Her core mission to help female entrepreneurs build and leverage their brand authority so they can confidently sell their services and coaching programs at a premium price point. She has been featured in Forbes, Atlanta Tech Edge, GPB Radio, and Authority Magazine to share her experience with technology, asking for more money, branding, and entrepreneurship.
Latesha has a special handbook for you if you want to offer fewer services while making more money so you can avoid burnout and sleepless nights and still hit your ambitious monthly income goals.

So, today, the two of us talk about the real reason to offer premium pricing and the value it brings to your business as well as your clients.

Just 5 years ago Jaclyn was 32, pregnant, had a 2 year old, and had some big crazy dreams. She started her business (and podcast, The Go To Gal) from her living room in Rochester - with a $65 mic and a zoom account.
Today, Jaclyn Mellone helps experts around the globe to help them exponentially grow their business by becoming the Go-To Authority in their space. She is a coach, strategist, Keynote speaker, mama, guac lover, and host of the Go-To Gal podcast - a top 60 Marketing podcast on iTunes!

My guest today is Michelle Pollack. Like a lot of us, Michelle keeps growing and learning which means her niche and her passions keep deepening and shifting.
So, the target audience Michelle started with is not the same target audience she wants to attract any longer.
Michelle helps smart, driven women discover their authentic voice and own it as their superpower, and to trust themselves so they can realize their full potential.
And yet, she finds herself disconnected from her own authentic voice and unsure about her own superpowers.
Michelle came into our session assuming that the problem to solve was to clarify her newly updated target audience, but what we quickly discovered was that she needed to give herself permission to take a firmer stance in her messaging to connect with her dream clients in a powerful way.
So, we dig into some messaging in the episode, but more importantly, we tackle the self-doubt that often plagues many coaches who believe they’re good at coaching, but marketing isn’t their thing.
I hope you enjoy it.
Have you ever heard the phrase “A confused mind says no”?
Basically, when faced with too many options, our brains freeze and we choose nothing.
That’s the trap this week’s guest, Annie Little found herself in with her business.
Annie is a voice coach who helps passionate singers finally find their full, true voice without strain, breaks, or cracks so they can express with freedom and authenticity. She’s also my voice coach and she’s helped me finally be able to sing without breaking into tears, so I adore her.
Now, Annie’s business is growing quickly and she sees how she’s the bottle neck. She has a bunch of creative ideas and important tasks on her to-do list. Her private client roster is basically full and she wants to create a group offering or membership.
But, she still doesn’t have all the foundations in place to put consistent content out in the world.
And, she’s stretched thin.
With so many possibilities and must-dos, Annie came to our session feeling pretty paralyzed. But we worked through it together to help her prioritize the most immediate tasks and create a timeline for the year.
If you’re stuck in analysis paralysis, this episode will be a life saver because it offers a framework to make decisions and commit to action.

Which means, it’s easy to start a lot of projects, work pretty much all the time, and lose interest the closer you get to the finish line. Plus work-life balance can feel like an urban myth.
My guest today is Sade Jones who takes a holistic approach to time management to help coaches just like us be more productive without working so much, stay focused with ease and build true momentum in all areas of our lives.
Sade is all about helping ambitious people manage their time more efficiently, so they can pursue and monetize their passions, navigate their wellness, as well as personal development. Her mission is to empower others to find time to pursue what sets their soul on fire.

Have you ever suffered from breakthrough backlash? It usually happens about a week after you’ve had a massive moment of clarity in your business when everything seems to come together.
Yet, when it’s time to follow through on that pivotal moment, you get cold feet, feel confused, and second-guess everything.
That’s exactly what happened for Melissa Costello after she realized it was time to take her coaching business in an entirely new direction.
We actually shared Melissa’s breakthrough moment in Episode 12 of this show, but since then, things haven’t been all rainbows and dollar bills for Melissa.
She’s felt incredibly stuck, unfocused, and fearful about what to do to generate revenue right now while still building this new brand.
In today’s episode, Melissa realizes that she’s a heck of a lot more clear than she thought she was and confusion was just showing up as a cunning form of resistance.
The two of us break through that resistance today to help Melissa put on blinders and focus on repeatable habits to fully commit to her new business and bring it to life.

Throughout 2021, we’re going to track one coach’s progress toward six figures. You may remember Tilita Lutterloh from episode #4 on the show. She’s a high-performance coach and graciously agreed to welcome behind the scenes in her business this year.
In this episode, Tilita and I share some big changes we had to make in her business in order for her to reach her revenue goals without burning out.
Rather than piling on more offerings, more work, more stuff… we actually eliminated all but one of her offerings. Then, we raised her prices because her prices were so low they did not reflect the quality of her work or the values she holds.
Lastly, we dug into her niche so that she can expand beyond runners and serve any goal-oriented, ambitious, structure-loving leader out there.
After our first coaching session this year, I had goosebumps because Tilita’s path to six figures is so crystal clear to me. So, I can’t wait to see how her journey unfolds this year, and excited to watch it right along with you.

My guest is Sonia Chavez who is on a mission to help Rebel Leaders and emerging talent create much-needed disruption in the corporate space and society at large. \n\nSonia’s North Star has always been to give back to at-risk youth and emerging communities through accessible coaching and workshops and bring diversity, equity, inclusion and justice into businesses as an experience. \n\nWith such a big mission, Sonia knows it’s time to become more vocal by sharing her message consistently online. \n\nYet, she also understands that her stance on Radical Love isn’t something everybody feels ready for, especially many of the progressive people in her life. \n\nSo, we created a game to help Sonia lean into her own mischievous qualities to lean fully into her mission. Even if it invites dissent and disagreement.\n\nI was so inspired by Sonia’s openness to the coaching process in this episode and even a little surprised about where the conversation took us.
Let's talk about discovery sessions, shall we? Whether you call them sales call, enrollment conversations, sample sessions, or a quick chat, these intro conversations with prospective clients can feel dicey.
We love coaching… but selling? Not so much.
My guest is Kate Farrall, a brilliant coach who helps motivated artists earn more money from their work. You see Kate’s clients have talent and creativity to spare, but what they lack is a structure and authentic approach to connect and engage with the people who can show work and invest in their art.
That’s what Kate helps them do. Her work allows artists to get the recognition they deserve and make money doing the creative work they love.
What I love about my session with Kate is that she’s coming up against many of the same fears and obstacles her clients face when it comes to selling her services.

My guest this week is Bret Shuford who’s been a working Broadway actor for over a decade. Up until recently, Bret’s niche has been broadway-centric.
As you’ll hear in the episode, Bret is not totally inspired by Broadway any longer. The culture can feel destructive, the decision makers less inclusive…
Yet, it’s been really hard for Bret to transition away from the niche he’s really known for. He came into the episode with a deep desire to clarify who exactly he should serve. If it’s not Broadway, then what is it exactly.
What Bret and I uncovered is a myth most coaches buy into. And that’s the idea that your niche must focus on your ideal client’s occupation, interests, or goals.
But that’s not the only way to niche down. You can draw in the perfect clients when you let your unique process be your niche.
And one thing Bret is so super skilled at is developing an irresistible personal brand.
So in this episode we explore what his business could look like if he let the thing he’s really good at lead the way. It’s a very inspiring conversation that’s sure to bring you a fresh way to think about your own niche.

You know… not every coach wants to run their own empire. Sure, a lot of us wouldn’t dream of not doing this work full time and taking it as far as we can possibly go. But others prefer to let their business take up just a small corner of their busy and full lives.
That’s the case for my guest, Nicole Tschierske. Nicole has a full time job that she loves. So, while she also love coaching, she wants to keep her practice relatively small.
Today, she and I will craft a 12 month plan with a laser focus because Nicole doesn’t have a ton of extra time to devote to her business and she wants to make sure that everything she focuses on packs the biggest punch with the least amount of effort.
Whether you want a tiny but mighty coaching business or you’re shooting for the stars this year, today’s episode will help you think about the year ahead and make important choices about which actions you’ll take on and why.

As coaches, we’ve all had those moments where we’ve held ourselves back. Whether it’s fear, perfectionism, distraction, or overwhelm… as humans walking the planet, we’ve all been there.
It’s painful, especially when we know we’re doing it, yet we just can’t seem to break free from our sabotaging behaviors.
It’s Dallas Travers here and today’s Six Figure Coach Podcast episode is one of my favorites because we tackle self-sabotage head on.
My guest is Randi Corlin Roberts who left her extremely successful corporate career to become a coach. Randi has a massively successful track record, yet lately she’s held herself back from putting her coaching business out there. Yes, she’s got private clients, but Randi wants more…
A big mailing list. An active online community. Successful courses that make an impact.
This week, we explore what’s holding Randi back and come up with a crystal clear plan to overcome the natural discomfort and sabotage that occur when any of us tries something new.
It’s not a laundry list of actions to take, but instead a new way to see yourself.
Randi shows up ready to do this work, so I know you’ll get a ton out of the episode.

If you ever feel weird about selling to your list get ready because my guest this week is Jenna Doolittle.
Jenna is a career coach for actors and when the industry shut down overnight as much of the world went into quarantine, Jenna wanted a way to truly help the acting community access as many high-value free resources, classes and events online as they could.
So, she began curating a daily digest of the best resources for actors. Over time, Jenna’s newsletter evolved to a weekly digest that brings in a bit of ad revenue.
But Jenna needed a better way to monetize her newsletter without losing the original intention, essence or value of it.
In a private session together, Jenna and I came up with a pretty clever way to monetize her newsletter with Patreon. Which left Jenna with two questions.
How can I keep attracting subscribers to my newsletter?
Once someone subscribes, how can she convert them into loyal Patreon members?
That’s what we dig into during today’s episode. It’s a juicy one and I'm excited to share it with you.
Also, Jenna and I completely dorked out with matching outfits for the episode. You can see proof of our dorkiness here: https://bit.ly/2KG1JM6

Well, we did it! We made it through 2020, the world’s longest year in recorded history. As the year unfolds, I wanted to help you plan your goals for 2021. But what you’ll hear during this episode is that just setting goals is not enough.
You’ll see what I mean inside the episode which is inspired by a training I gave my Six Figure Coach club members at our autumn retreat. With that, let’s make big plans for next year, shall we?

Kimberly Miguel Mullen is back in this week’s episode of the Six figure Coach Podcast.
Back in episode 17, Kimberly Miguel Mullen shared her inspiring Six Figure Journey with us.
Today, we get to clarify her next level offering. But we had to be very intentional. If you recall from her last episode, one of Kimberly’s biggest lessons was the importance of simplifying.
So, the last thing I wanted us to do was create another offering that stole back the freedom and time she worked so hard to create for herself this last year.
We do come up with an awesome next level offering, but it took some work because Kimberly fell into the same mistake a lot of coaches do… assuming that the only way to add value is to give more content, more time, more stuff. Sometimes, the extra stuff isn’t actually valuable. It’s just more stuff. You’ll see what I mean inside the episode. So, with that.. Here’s Kimberly.

A year ago, Lauren - like so many coaches - was burning the candle at both ends and straight up the middle while she was at it.
She had a bustling social media marketing service that required a lot of Lauren’s time and energy. In fact, when she joined the Six Figure Coach Club, Lauren had zero clue how on earth she’d be able to generate more revenue without working more hours.
But, she trusted herself and trusted the process to expand her team, increase her revenue by nearly 30% and get her life back.
If you relate at all to what feels like a never ending cycle of the entrepreneur hustle, Lauren’s story is a must listen because she describes the freedom that comes with trust, accountability and the right plan.

My guest today is Jake Kelfer who is a genius at networking. In fact, the way he reached out to me to pitch himself as a guest for this show was so impressive and personalized that I said to myself, “this guy knows what he’s talking about. I’ve got to bring him on the show.”
Let me share a little about Jake’s background… he’s a lifestyle entrepreneur, life elevator, and coach to ambitious entrepreneurs and freedom seekers helping them create incredibly impactful and profitable businesses.
Jake is the bestselling author of Elevate Beyond and Elevate Your Network, and the founder of the Professional Basketball Combine which has helped 70+ NBA draft prospects turn their dreams of playing pro basketball into their reality.
He and his work have been featured on Forbes, Sports Illustrated, ESPN, and many other major media outlets.
In this episode, Jake helps me overcome my shyness about making the first move with joint venture partners or possible collaborators. Then, he walks me through a super simple way to track my outreach so none of my efforts go to waste.
If you want to feel empowered to find more collaboration partners, you’ll love Jake’s process. Take a listen.

Welcome back to part two of my mini series with Malika Williams. Last week, Malika and I created a vision for what she wants next in her business and when we took a good, hard look at her numbers, she realized that she’s a lot closer to that vision than she thought.
From there, we talked about the two phases coaches flow in and out of in their businesses.
Phase one is expansion. Phase two is containment. As coaches, we need both and Malika realized that right now, she’s in a containment phase.
Which begs the question, if you’re not growing your business, what ARE you doing?
The answer is that the containment phase is the essential period to focus on foundations so you can actually grow again when you’re ready.
Malika and I tuned into the foundations of her business and realized it’s time for her to hire an assistant. So, that’s what we got to work on in this week’s episode.

Today is the first of a two part series we’ll roll out this week and next. My guest is Malika Williams from the Center for Women’s Voice. Malika took the leap earlier this year to focus on her coaching business full time. And she came into our session feeling some pressure to grow, hustle, and keep up with what she sees other coaches doing online.
But when we got down to Malika’s values and her personal vision for her business, we realized that she doesn’t want to grow right now. She wants ease and flow in her business.
The insights we both had during this conversation were golden, so if you ever find yourself making business decisions from a place of “should” or fear, this episode is a must-listen.

Today’s episode will help you get out of the overwhelm that comes with working on your own - just you and your laptop every darn day.
My guest is Sarah Gaboury who has an awesome problem. You see, Sarah’s business has grown a lot lately and she is completely overwhelmed by all the work to do to serve her clients.
In fact, Sarah feels so busy, that the thought of hiring and training an assistant is just too much.
Yet, she understands that in order to sustain her business - let alone continue to grow - she simply must hire help.
Today, we dive into a simple process to help Sarah get crystal clear about the tasks she wants to delegate and the qualities her new assistant must have in order to excel at the job.
If you feel like you work 24/7, yet you don’t feel ready to hire help. This episode is a must.
Inside the episode, we talk about my process for hiring. You can get the guide here --> https://bit.ly/2WBnOO1

In today’s episode, I help Morgan Balavage design a new course that delivers a ton of value without overwhelming her students. As coaches, we WANT to give our clients and students everything we’ve got. And that desire to serve sometimes creates roadblocks for your clients.
Overdelivering is often more harmful than under-delivering because your #1 responsibility with any course your deliver is to help you students feel successful so they stick with the program and actually see results.
And, sometimes that means holding back on your course content.
Morgan and I dig into this concept inside the episode and the end result is a pretty valuable course that delivers on it’s promise, sets her students up to feel capable and take action, plus it leans perfectly into a bigger offering Morgan wants to enroll students in after they complete the first course.
If you have a new program or course on the horizon and really want to set your students up to feel confident, stay focused and see results, this episode is a must listen.

I’ve invited Jenny Cornbleet and Mark Futterman from Boldly Original to coach me through a complicated and honestly toxic relationship I seem to have with time.
I love sharing these episodes with you because one goal I have with this show is to practice authenticity and transparency.
So, yes, we go pretty deep in this episode and yes, I even cry a bit.
But first, a bit about Jenny and Mark...
They help you uncover your deepest inner purpose so you can start doing what matters most. Jenny and Mark believe most of us look for meaning in the wrong place, asking, “What can I do that would bring me purpose?” That’s an outside-in way to search for meaning, and it often leads to spending your whole life looking for something to give you lasting purpose, but never quite finding it.
Jenny and Mark approach purpose from-the-inside-out, helping you turn your work and life into an authentic expression of who you are and what you’re most passionate about.
They have created a unique way to uncover the deepest meaning that’s already inside of you, wanting to be expressed. They call this inner meaning your Boldly Original Proposition or BOP, and it’s the thing your life has perfectly prepared you to help teach, heal, or express in the world.
Whether you have a business, a creative calling, or a cause, they can help you break through self-doubt and feeling stuck and move into a lot more meaning and fulfilment.
Be sure to check out their free class Your Hidden Purpose which is all about the 3 big myths that keep you from doing what matters most and the life you’re meant to have. Just go to www.yourhiddenpurpose.com.

My guest, DaJuan Johnson is about to have his first ever six figure year because he designed an amazing course and launched it like a rock star.
DaJuan and I break down the numbers of his launch and discuss where things went well and what he can improve for next time.
More importantly, we explore how this one successful launch completely changed how he relates to himself as an entrepreneur and the ripple effects of that breakthrough in his business.

Today's episode is a juicy one because Rachel Selig comes on to get my help narrowing down her niche, which seems simple enough.
But once we got into our conversation, a few fears came up for Rachel right away. And we realized that she’s resisted niching down for two reasons.
The first is to protect herself from being judged by people from her past. If she's not niched, she can't put herself out there. If she can't put herself out there, she can't be open to criticism.
The second reason Rachel has resisted niching was her fear that she wouldn't be able to deliver on her promise to her clients. So by being vague in her marketing, she wouldn’t attract clients. If she didn’t have clients, she didn’t have to deal with disappointing them.
So Rachel and I rolled up our sleeves and we dug into these fears inside today’s episode.
That way Rachel can finally get clear about her target audience and begin to put herself out there.
If you ever fear being criticized, you will love my session with Rachel.

If you have a program or course that you launch once or twice a year, you may wonder how you can create an evergreen funnel to enroll clients throughout the year.
Without spending a lot on ads.
Without over-promoting and overwhelming your audience
Without eating into the results you're used to from a live launch.
Jodie Bentley jumps into the hot seat and asks me to outline the first phase of creating an evergreen marketing funnel for her membership program.
There is a way to run an evergreen promotion in the background of your business and we explain it inside today's episode.

My guest today is Katy Chen Mazzara who’s a money coach and one of the founding members inside the Six Figure Coach Club. Katy is so ready to scale her business, yet she holds herself (and her business back) because she’s afraid to be truly visible. Katy struggles to go live on Instagram and Facebook and pitching herself for podcasts feels like pulling teach.
So we dug deep right away in today's session to uncover where her fear comes from. Then, we discussed how Katy can be with her fear instead of assuming the only way to overcome it is by taking on a false, positive mental attitude.
This is one of my favorite episodes so far and it’s for you if you're a coach and you see how your own fears of being visible hold you back as well.

Tilita Lutterloh came into today’s episode to get my help creating a new and improved lead magnet. But as soon as we dug into our hot seat session, we realized that what she really needed was a marketing strategy... not another lead magnet.
The strategy we created leverages actions Tilita already takes in her business and best of all, they’re habits she can stick to for the long haul.
If you worry that your lead magnet isn't working keep listening because we’ll examine a simple organic marketing strategy to get your lead magnet in front of more eyeballs. That’s the only way you’ll really know if your lead magnet actually converts after all.

Today’s episode is special because I get to hop into the client chair for the first time.
My guest is Tyler J McCall who is my favorite Instagram expert. He helps me get over myself and my excuses so I can become more consistent and authentic on Instagram stories.
Tyler is a business and Instagram marketing strategist for online business owners and digital entrepreneurs. He focuses on using Instagram and social media to tell stories, build relationships, and convert followers to fans, drawing from his 10 years of experience in non-profit marketing and community organizing. Since 2015, Tyler has taught thousands of entrepreneurs how to start, grow, and scale their online businesses. He is the founder of the Follower to Fan Society - an online Instagram marketing training program - and of the Online Business Association - the first and only professional association for online business owners and digital entrepreneurs. Tyler is based in Asheville, North Carolina where he lives with his husband Eric. When he’s not coaching or teaching, Tyler enjoys Target runs and road trips…that he documents on his Instagram Stories.
Be sure to check out Tyler’s free class where you’ll learn how to sell more programs, products, and services on Instagram® (without obsessing over your follower count or posting every day)
You can watch the class for free at tylerjmcall.com/free.
And if you like what you hear, please be sure to rate, review and share this show with the coaches in your life.
65% of the coaches who join the Six Figure Coach Club tell me that they want to build their list because they're ready to scale beyond just offering 1:1 coaching.
That's why I invited Brian Patacca to the show today. I had the privilege of mentoring Brian inside our 6FCC Accelerator program over the last 12 months. During that time, he created and launched 2 online courses plus a membership program. He more than doubled his revenue and even had a six figure launch this year.
One core reason behind Brian's success came down to his list building strategy. In just 90 days, Brian added more than 3000 new subscribers to his list without spending any money on ads.
So, if you know you need to build your list in order to sell courses or group programs, grab a pen and notepad because Brian and I will take you behind the scenes of the exact process he followed to build his list through referral marketing.

In today’s episode, you’ll hear me coach Carly Clark Zimmer whose private client roster is full. Now, Carly wants to scale with a group coaching program. But she came into the episode believing that a group program can’t ever help clients get the same results as private coaching.
Which makes it pretty hard to go all in with a group program now, doesn’t it?
So I help Carly shift her mindset plus create a structure for her group program that sets expectations and keeps students engaged by mimicking what she already does so well in her onboarding process for private clients.
If you ever worry that your group programs can’t deliver the same results as private coaching, you’ll love hearing Carly’s breakthrough.

Welcome to the first episode of the Six Figure Coach Podcast. Today, we kick the podcast off by getting to know each other a bit.
I'll share my intentions for the show, a little bit about my background, and the three biggest lessons of learned on my own six figure journey.
