Looking at the transformation in Peter from the gospels to the book of Acts, we see that the difference is the power of the Holy Spirit working through him. This was still Peter, but it's Peter version 2.0. This should give us hope for us - we have this same power available to us - maybe we could approach life differently and see how God can take the ordinary and make it extraordinary.

We need to avoid spending so much time and energy on creating and maintaining our image that there isn't any time or energy left deal with the issues in our life that needs attention. How can I make sure that I am the Real Deal and also ensure that the Real me I am being is the me I really want to be?

Life often has a way of weighing us down with pressure and expectations that are too much for us to bear, and sometimes even following God can become a wearisome endeavour. In this sermon, Pastor Phil reminds us that the invitation to follow Jesus is first an offer of rest before it is a command to work.
