ELIZABETH
Good Monday Morning Folks! Today’s episode is all about what’s new in 2024 and more about the Restoration Project, including how you can get involved! What is the Restoration Projext? In short, the restoration project is a movement to restore kindness, integrity, respect and strength back into the many systems in our world, for example: the Food System, Social Systems, Political Systems, Natural Systems and more! We will be introducing individuals through interviews, reading quotes from books, playing songs and challenging you to much more! In this episode I would like to introduce my editors Molly and Marcus from M Designs. For more information about the interviews, please refer back to Episode 15 where we explore this in detail. I would like to begin with 3 Poems about Integrity from the website https://www.greatexpectations.org/ I’ll now give the floor to my editors…

In the past year, we’ve explored topics episodically, but we are taking it up a notch in 2024, to include a new overarching goal for this year. We’re kicking off the Restoration Project, led by your host, Elizabeth Rose. our plan is to look at the key areas concerning the restoration project through the lenses of each season of the year, and our lives, and then break it down monthly into even finer areas of interest, study, introspection and exploration! We will use the mediums of interview, artwork in the videos, sharing music, readings and quotes, and others to look at the issues with our whole Brain. The key areas the Restoration Project aims to make improvements in, as a community, are: kindness – recognizing the needs of ourselves and others, including healthy boundaries, integrity in word and action, respect for others that are different from ourselves, and strength of community.
TRANSITION SONG THE HERO’S JOURNEYFOR EVERY HERO THERE IS A ROAD
THAT CAN TAKE YOU SOMEWHERE
FARTHER ON THAN YOU’VE EVER KNOWN
IT’S A JOURNEY THAT MIGHT
BREAK YOU TO YOUR SOUL
BUT IF YOU DARE TO MAKE A GO
YOU MIGHT FIND A GIFT INSIDE OF YOU
THAT FEW WILL EVER HOLD
FOR EVERY HERO THERE IS A ROAD
AND A WAY BACK HOME
I WAS SITTIN’ COMFORTABLE
LIVING IN MY LIFE
THE WORLD WAS SPINNIN’
CLOUDS WERE ROLLIN’ BY
WHEN SUDDENLY THE WALLS CAVED-IN
AND LEFT ME TO THE NIGHT
RIGHT THERE AND THEN
I HAD TO DECIDE
WHETHER I WAS BOLD ENOUGH
TO CROSS THE GREAT ABYSS
OR TURN AROUND AND SAY
“TO HELL WITH THIS”
THEN SOMEONE WHISPERED
THERE’S A WAY TO MAKE IT FROM THE CLIFF
SO I TOOK A LEAP AND FOUND WHAT FREEDOM IS
FOR EVERY HERO THERE IS A ROAD
THAT CAN TAKE YOU SOMEWHERE
FARTHER ON THAN YOU’VE EVER KNOWN
IT’S A JOURNEY THAT MIGHT
BREAK YOU TO YOUR SOUL
BUT IF YOU DARE TO MAKE A GO
YOU MIGHT FIND A GIFT INSIDE OF YOU
THAT FEW WILL EVER HOLD
FOR EVERY HERO THERE IS A ROAD
AND A WAY BACK HOME
THERE WERE THOSE WHO TESTED ME
AND SWORE THAT I WOULD FAIL
FAIR-WEATHER FRIENDS
THAT LEFT ME ON THE TRAIL
THROUGH THE TERROR OF THE TEMPEST
AND THE WALLS I HAD TO SCALE
I FOUND THE STRENGTH TO TRIUMPH AND PREVAIL
FOR EVERY HERO THERE IS A ROAD
THAT CAN TAKE YOU SOMEWHERE
FARTHER ON THAN YOU’VE EVER KNOWN
IT’S A JOURNEY THAT MIGHT
BREAK YOU TO YOUR SOUL
BUT IF YOU DARE TO MAKE A GO
YOU MIGHT FIND A GIFT INSIDE OF YOU
THAT FEW WILL EVER HOLD
FOR EVERY HERO THERE IS A ROAD
AND A WAY BACK HOME
FOR EVERY HERO THERE IS A ROAD

SEGMENT 2 WAKE UP AND SMELL THE COFFEEELIZABETH
Ok Folks it’s time to wake up and smell the coffee. Let’s take it up a notch… Here is your Call to Action: it is not enough to know the right thing, or to say the right things. It is important to step out of our comfort zone and stand up for our values and for others. Just a reminder… what we think becomes what we say. What we say becomes our actions. We need to be mindful of our thoughts, perceptions and attitudes. I will now turn the mic back over to Molly and Marcus who will challenge you with some ways to get involved with the Restoration Project!
MARCUS
In our newsletters, you may have noticed the inclusion of “Stretches” (out of your comfort zone!) which are exercises designed to challenge and stimulate the whole brain. To learn more about what “Whole Brain” means, please listen to Episodes 1 and 2. Basically, using the “Whole Brain” means engaging all of your senses when trying something new for maximum benefit. In this episode we have designed 3 stretches to get you OUT of your comfort zone, and into the Restoration Project! Making a difference in the world can start right at home with healthy habits, and setting a good example. We will also encourage you with sensory explorations of new cultures and ideas, invitations to try new routines, challenges to experience exciting events, and other ways to get the conversations that matter in your community, started.
MARCUS
Stretch! (Out of your comfort zone!): #1 Avoid the snooze button A Reading from An Article on Asana.com, See the link in the description for more information. Hitting the snooze button can be detrimental to your morning routine. While you may intend to only get five more minutes of sleep, hitting snooze can quickly become a half hour. Avoid snoozing your alarm by creating a routine of waking up the first time your alarm goes off. Ways to encourage this habit include: Counting to five: When getting out of bed seems impossible, an easy trick is to count to five. After five, force yourself to get out of bed and begin your day. Keeping slippers near your bed: Slippers can make getting out of bed slightly easier on cold mornings. Keep them bedside so you always have them close. Presetting your coffee machine: If you’re a coffee drinker, just the aroma can be enough to motivate you to get up. Preset your machine so the coffee is waiting for you when you wake up. Snoozing your alarm clock is a habit many of us have, but creating a healthier routine is the best way to break it. The more time you have in the morning, the more time you have to create a productive routine.
MOLLY
Stretch! (Out of your comfort zone!): #2 Vote With Your Fork, Cook More Meals At Home First a quote: “Every time you spend money, you’re casting a vote for the kind of world you want to live in, including the food you buy.” – Anna Lappe
Now a Reading from the home page on https://runamukacres.com/, See the link in the description for more information. Vote with your fork! everyday, 3 times a day, we can vote for the kind of food system we want through our food choices. by making the choice to eat real food (IE-food that hasn’t been processed beyond recognition) we’re taking a stand against the industrial system. We can opt to purchase ingredients and make the time to actually cook a meal. We can learn to cook more things for ourselves or to cook more often. And then we can share that independence with friends and family to spur the movement on. Once we get used to cooking for ourselves we can take it a step further and through our food choices we can vote for the kinds of farms we want to support. We can give our money in support of an industrial farm thousands of miles away with farming practices we don’t want to think about. Or we can choose to shop with farms closer to home. We can get to know our local farmer and how he or she produces the carrots or the herbed-chevre we love so much. We have the power to make a difference and it starts right at home. Making the choice to buy real food doesn’t mean it will always be a perfect meal. It just means it will be real food. Give it a try. Go vote with your fork today!!!
MARCUS
The Third and final Stretch! (Out of your comfort zone!) this morning is #3 feel gratitude in the face of challenges. A Reading from An Article on https://kitsappt.com, See the link in the description for more information. How Can I feel Gratitude in the face of challenges? Consider the following advice: Embrace Your Challenges: This is oftentimes easier said than done, especially during the fallout of a long-term global pandemic. Keep in mind, though, that when approached constructively, challenges often bring out our best selves. They make us stronger and more focused, confident and capable.
Celebrate Minor Victories: You’ve heard the phrase, “Don’t let perfect be the enemy of good.” This simply means that victories regularly come in increments, and that small improvements are often worth celebrating. Keep this in mind as you work to achieve your goals (regardless of size) and as you strive for post- COVID normalcy.
Acknowledge and Express Gratitude: Knowing you have a lot to be thankful for isn’t the same as regularly considering, jotting down and expressing your positive thoughts. Being grateful should be an active process. By forcing yourself to consider specific things you’re grateful for every day, you’ll train your mind to more naturally think in these terms. Expressing gratitude in overt (i.e., writing a thank-you letter) and creative ways can give this positivity an even bigger boost.
Surround Yourself with Positivity: The levels of positivity in the company you keep can directly affect your ability to be feel gratitude. Being around positive people and those you love and respect can feel energizing and lead to greater levels of optimism in your life.
Volunteer: As a way of giving back to others in your community, volunteering – especially during this era of the coronavirus and economic downturn – can make you feel more grateful about your own life. Studies have shown that helping others through volunteering can also increase your personal level of well-being.

Stop and Smell the RosesOkay folks, here we go, episode number 18, theme is Music specifically Taiko Drumming. With us in the studio, we have Jon Whitsell one of the Torii Taiko members; entering first segment of Whole Brain Podcast: “Stop & Smell the Roses.” To enhance the feeling of gratitude.
Elizabeth: First question to you Jon. What sense of gratitude do you have for Torii and Torii Taiko?
Jon: Torii gates are the portal between the profane and the sacred. Are often in front of a temple/shrine around a holy place but a natural, beautiful place; the base of a mountain, forest, or seaside; honor the Spirit of place with a gate. We thought it was a good idea to use as a name for our Japanese, Taiko drumming group.
E: Do you imagine that you’re invoking that energy? I’ve been to some of your concerts; you don’t necessarily say that.
J: Sometimes we’ll talk about it. Intention? An underlying ethos. Love this description: that it’s a spontaneous, evolutionary collaboration to joyfully cross over two worlds beyond our everyday existence through patience, passion and practice.
E: Awesome. Leave the mundane behind ~ in large part, what people are really requiring and needing right now. Always intrigued me about you – not only do you seem interested and drawn to the Japanese taiko drumming, but also, you’ve participated in the making of this film Community in Conflict: The Santa Fe Internment Camp Marker Going to screen at the upcoming 2024 annual Santa Fe Film Festival – end of April – forthcoming.
J: A look at the marker. About twenty-five years ago when Larry Delgado was the mayor… a state historian ~ there should be a marker up there. Right now the internment camp site itself is the Casa Solana subdivision. Before that it was a civilian conservation corp camp. Took it during World War II. It was a Department of Justice Santa Fe Internment Camp. They put in the community leaders; interesting and ironic. People like doctors, newspaper editors, gas station owners ~ perceived as leaders; had an allegiance to Japan during the war. Rounded, hustled them up. Separated them from their families.
E: Review the new things that are on your schedule; specifically the Society of Applied Anthropology & precursor to film screening.
J: Tuesday, March 26, Society of…has a conference at Eldorado and Hilton hotels. The Japanese American citizens league reader’s theater will perform. Doctor Nikki Lewis created scripts based upon the experiences Japanese Americans interned at the internment camps during World War II. She was a child while her father was interned in the one here in Santa Fe. A lot of stories. Reader’s theater ~ not professional actors, have the scripts in front of them, have done these a bunch of times. I’m gonna be the technical director. There will be some taiko – a few beats to provide some atmosphere. It’s free the first day. Declared Santa Fe / New Mexico Day; Most conferences the fees are often four hundred dollars; give back to the community, the society has opened it to the public: no admission to attend these programs.
E: Time? Schedule?
J: Posted on applied anthropology website. It’s their eighty fourth annual meeting.
E: I bet these stories have a lot of healing power.
J: Just hearing about them and how people cope and experiences people went through, there’s a whole range of emotions ~ many stories. Open to the public. Our performance is at the Eldorado Ballroom B in the morning.
E: Can you also talk about the April 20th film screening precursor to the film – part of that production.
J: April 20th at New Mexico History Museum downtown Santa Fe – a community forum ~ whole film will be screened. It’s about forty-five minutes – not a long feature film. Following week: SF film Festival will show it and it is also going to be showing in Los Alamos. Many chances to catch this historic film; won some awards “Community in Conflict” is about the decision made about twenty-five years ago to create a marker; this concept was controversial, misunderstood. Marker up by the dog park overlooking Casa Solana. Powerful story based in reality. Reenacted the different voices and took the transcription from the official proceedings where the city government approved the marker.
E: Screening updates. Lena Street performance of Torii Taiko when the weather warms up. First Saturday in June, at the Ozu parking lot across the street from the original Iconik. Coming back with “Wake Up & Smell the Coffee.” Want to know more about your allegiance to the Japanese culture and its people.
Wake Up and Smell the CoffeeElizabeth: Alright, were into our second Segment. Going to speak about The Restoration Project / Movement. How to fan the flames of kindness, strength, virtue, decency into any new systems. Going to have a video showing of “Omiyagi in the Gardens.” Group in action. Jon Whitsell ~ probably the tallest Japanese guy that I’ve ever seen. Six foot three. He does look Japanese. You say, Taiko really grabbed you twenty-one years ago. What was that about? Have you ever been to Japan; what is your interest in the Japanese culture – you talk about that a lot, quite passionately, feels to me there is something more to it.
Jon: Taiko has been my passport; built a lot of relations, very vibrant taiko community in North America; big exchange between US, Canada, Japan & Europe ~ they are all merging – kind of like a big family. Really cool. Was taking a lesson…was looking for a musical outlet in 2002. Lot of marimba bands at the time. Had never played mallets. Background playing in rock bands and junior high orchestra. Mallets looked like a lot of fun. Went to a Taiko lesson – it grabbed me. Usually I’m doing the grabbing. Got my attention. Really resonated with me.
E: You feel very passionate; have a natural inkling towards the Japanese Way through their music.
J: It’s been my gateway – mostly studying the drumming aspects.
E: Switch gears. Go to this epiphany I had or download, after speaking with a friend about a name for this interview series; my question for you is how does Taiko inspire people to wake up and how is it going to be focused differently on restoring kindness, virtue, strength, decency and respect?
J: The practice there’s a lot of respect. Respect for the materials, the teachers, the place; dovetails in with the concept of Torii the gate; step into sacred and leave ordinary behind and allow the Gods, Spirits of place to bring you in. Kindness: inner group communication is a more important skill than the technical skill. Have to have respect and kindness for ourselves in dealing with decisions about the sound, where, song; how we communicate interpersonally is really important. Kindness is certainly a part of that. Feel so lucky. Just really love the group that we have going now. We work together really well.
E: Sounds like you really enjoy these women that you are graced with, surrounded with.
J: Absolutely. A great collaborative effort.
E: Four Members I would like to mention to precede the performance video: Jon Whitsell – white bearded guy. Dyan Yoshikawa not currently in this video; background in modern dance, and is practicing as a massage and a cranial-sacral therapist; Emily Walukas who is a bilingual STEM teacher. STEM stands for Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics. Danny Silver ~ a music and dance teacher’ great deal of her background in those areas, she has two grown artistic daughters.
J: This piece is called “Omiyage.” Written by members of Taiko project in Los Angeles in early two thousands. Composed by Shoji Kamado based on an idea… ~ offered up as a gift to the Taiko community, at a time when it was growing a lot; people didn’t have much of a repertoire they could use. Offered up, as long as you mentioned names. Video was shot in “Origami in the Garden” out in Cerrillos; Kevin and Jennifer Box, world renowned sculpture garden in the Garden of the Gods; location off highway fourteen – really beautiful – one of the sculptures is in the background. The words themselves don’t have meaning, but they are expressions of joy and encouragement.

Hello Folks and welcome to a very special episode number 17 where we will be exploring with our Whole Brain as we revisit the levels of Human Consciousness from David R Hawkins’ book Power vs. Force. We have shared a lot of information from his book in previous episodes, but just as a reminder, a little bit about David and his work.
Relax and Enjoy as we begin by listening to a song covered by Martha Reich called Cracked Up From Loneliness originally written by Donald Rubinstein, composer of the songs’ music and lyrics, is working on releasing a full length album titled 36 Year Serenade with his compositions covered by many well known respected women artists. Rubinstein invited Martha to cover one of his songs for this project, and she chose Cracked up from Loneliness.
We will now go through the levels of human consciousness, according to David’s research, in order from survival levels such as shame, and guilt to levels of reason and integrity which begins at courage and reaches all the way up to levels which allow us to be conscious at the spiritual levels love through enlightenment.
OK, here we go with Cracked up from Loneliness. This song explores feelings of shame, guilt and more. See how much you can relate to these feelings…and after this song we will continue in a sensory whole brain experience including more art, readings, music, stories and quotes which will allow you to experience the natural uplift as we progress higher and higher up through the levels of consciousness. Enjoy!
What a beautiful piece…sometimes we need to remind ourselves that no feelings, or levels of consciousness, are bad or good, they are simply different places we can be as we grow and experience life. Guilt, which can be laden with blame; precedes the next level of consciousness higher which is apathy. Apathy tends to be more of a hopeless despair, but eventually gives way to grief.
Wow, isn’t that just amazing that something like grief which is often associated with tragic regret is actually a sign of an improvement from apathy. Of course, we want you to keep raising that frequency! The next level of consciousness is fear.
So with all these negative effects of fear…how can we use our fear to continue to raise our frequency? We can use the utterly uncomfortable nature of this status to encourage growth from all challenging situations. Where fear can lead us to being stuck, it can also fuel our natural desire which encourages action! Desire for something better to move past this will help lead to self improvement and habits which seek to improve one’s station or situation. Often when we desire to make changes for the better, we pray. Please enjoy this song by Tone Freshwater which teaches us to pray out loud for that which our heart desires!
I just love that song! The beat and the energy have my frequency higher already. And as the consciousness temperature rises, what happens? Things get heated!
Sometimes, this is what it takes to let us know enough is enough! Anger has a way of clamoring for changes to be made when something is not right…more than desire alone. Let’s revisit the conversation of game over…when enough is enough!\
Cracked up from Loneliness: Lyrics
By Donald Rubenstein
From 36 Year Serenade
I cracked up from loneliness, I split out the door
left behind some messages, I wish that I did more
like I am a whisper, fading fast from view
Only wished that I had learned to love you.
I cracked up from hard times, from being kind of a rich man’s son
from being the son of an immigrant, who maybe worked too hard
I cracked up in silence, wailing inside my head
and I broke down on highways, where loved ones never tread.
Saw the highway coming, saw my ghost go running
knew I was out of luck, just before the truck and me cracked up
they say just before you die, your life flashes right before your eyes.
I saw the wire coming, I saw the blood running out of me
running like a deep red sea.
Oh lord help me, oh lord help me
oh lord help me, oh lord help me
I cracked up in rhyme, I forgot about the time
forgot about who I’m suppose to be
I cracked up from innocence, from trying to be free
trying to be.
Oh saw the highway coming, saw my ghost come running
knew I was out of luck, before the truck and me cracked up
they say right before your die, your life flashes right before your eyes
I saw the wire coming, saw the blood running out of me
running like a deep red sea.
Oh lord help me, oh lord help me
oh lord help me, oh lord help me
Like I am a whisper, fading fast from view
only wish that I had learned to love you
only wish that I had learned to love you
only wish that I had learned to love you
Oh lord help me, saw the highway coming
oh lord help me, saw my ghost go running
oh lord help me, oh lord help me
oh lord help me, oh lord help me

Podcast Episode 17 – Part/Seg 2 – Script

And once we really start looking at problems like this, as things we can change or get out of, or move on from, we start to build our self esteem. This includes our pride and ego. So this tells us, what it is when we start to feel a small hint of power versus force as we become more encouraged, and have greater feelings of empowerment brought on by the energy level of courage. From here we begin to feel more trust, and start to accept feelings of neutrality… This is a feeling we can understand listening to the song Digital Radio by Laurianne Fiorentino. Consider once you are in your confidence how you may no longer feel as defensive of your positions or ideas, and may also be able to let go of trying to be as controlling of others paths as a part of your willingness to work on yourself.
I would like to share a story with you now, which really exemplifies a time in my life when I had completely moved on from a situation in which I had tried to resolve an ongoing conflict, and had not been able to “sweep the dust off the path” as playfully put by Laurianne in this last musical piece. In this case, I had already found myself in neutrality, having stepped away from my field, as I will explain in detail in a minute, but was called to willingness to actually revisit a past issue and face it with strength. Willingness, which is at level 310 on David R. Hawkins scale, is associated with being inspired, hopeful and associated with intention.
What better way to measure our personal growth than to look back on a painful story from the past, from which we are now able to find purpose in the pain. We learn from our experiences when we try something to handle our situations. Even in failure we learn something. I learned, amongst much else, to accept help from others, who accepted me for who I was. In Community we learn to love other people as ourselves. Acceptance is the next level of consciousness from David R. Hawkins’ book Power vs. Force. At this level which is 350, forgiveness, harmony, mercy and transcendence emerge. Let’s explore this level of human consciousness through a beautiful Cather text.
Yes folks, the Cathar Church of Love accepts all, and with acceptance we raise our frequency even higher as we start looking to really understand others, and ourselves. The next level of Human consciousness as studied by David R. Hawkins is reason. Reason is at level 400 and highest level before love and the other spiritual paradigm levels. Reason, being above the lower emotional levels, is associated with intelligence, and reasoning. Hawkins says this is the level of science and medicine. At this level, too unbalanced of an identification with only the mind, (think left brain!) can leave people lacking in abilities that allow them to continue to raise their frequency into the domains above reason, love, joy, peace and enlightenment (think right brain!).
The music of Antipodean Writer, will play as a sound bed for the next reading. Antipodean Writer publishes original poetry, short stories and music from the Antipodes. The song is called Soulection-twilight, and you will now hear me recite a poem by Kahlil Gibran. Kahlil’s writing has been featured in my podcast before. He is the author of The Prophet, and he was born January 6, 1883, in Bsharri, Lebanon. This poem is called On Reason and Passion and is from The Prophet, written in 1923.
“And the priestess spoke again and said: Speak to us of
Reason and Passion. And he answered, saying: Your soul is
oftentimes a battlefield, upon which your reason and your
judgement wage war against your passion and your appetite.
Would that I could be the peacemaker in your soul, that I might
turn the discord and the rivalry of your elements into oneness
and melody. But how shall I, unless you yourselves be also the
peacemakers, nay, the lovers of all your elements? Your reason
and your passion are the rudder and the sails of your seafaring
soul. If either your sails or your rudder be broken, you can but
toss and drift, or else be held at a standstill in mid-seas.
For reason, ruling alone, is a force confining and passion,
unattended, is a flame that burns to its own destruction.
Therefore let your soul exalt your reason to the height of
passion, that it may sing; And let it direct your passion with
reason, that your passion may live through its own daily
resurrection and like the phoenix rise above its own ashes. I
would have you consider your judgment and your appetite even
as you would two loved guests in your house. Surely you would
not honor one guest above the other; for he who is more mindful
of one loses the love and the faith of both.
Among the hills, when you sit in the cool shade of the white
poplars, sharing the peace and serenity of distant fields, and
meadows—then let your heart say in silence, ‘God rests in
reason.’ And when the storm comes, and the mighty wind
shakes the forest, and thunder and lightning proclaim the
majesty of the sky, then let your heart say in awe, ‘God moves
in passion.’ And since you are a breath in God’s sphere, and a
leaf in God’s forest, you too should rest in reason and move in
passion.”
Thanks again folks, as always for listening to my Podcast and for joining me for this special episode where we have re-visited the different levels of Human Consciousness as studied by the now deceased David R. Hawkins and written about in his book Power vs. Force, the Hidden Determinants of Human Behavior. I strongly encourage you to read his book, and I will put a link in the description below. I also encourage you to reach out to me in the comments and to listen to my other podcast episodes to learn more about any of the topics we have gone over in this episode number seventeen, or any other episodes. I hope you all have a wonderful day, and remember to take the time to Stop and Smell the roses, and when you are ready… or not… Wake Up And Smell the Coffee!! Talk to you again,
Blessings!
Digital Radio – Laurianne Fiorentino – Lyrics
from When I’m an Angel
I can wrap your skin in rays of the sun
As soon as every day has begun
To remind you you’re not the only one
Oh yeah I’ve been a fool like you
I can slip the song my raven sings
onto your finger as a friendship ring
To remind you that courage is a sacred thing
for far too long it’s been taboo
I can turn the Digital Radio on
To prove to you all the static is gone
And sweep the dust off the path you’re on
This is all I can do for you my love
This is all I can do for you
I can ask the stars in your eyes at night
To reveal the moon who sometimes hides her light
So you can see yourself through your second sight
What your heart has always known
Round the turning and through the fire
We meet again and again in a squall of desire
Love will find a way as it will surely tire
of these endless fields of snow
I can simmer shadows of the afternoon
And steep them in the mystery of the simplest tune
To quench the thirst that always hunts for you
Every where you go
We three will melt like ice in July
Oh you haven’t till now and neither have I
For you’ve been promised to fear and I to the lie
The war is over, we’ve made it through
Can you hear me now, can you dial me in
Am I loud & clear or is the signal too thin
With reception so good why don’t you pull me through,
You got your eye on me and I got nothing on you

Episode Sixteen. Welcome.
Stop and Smell the RosesTheme: Grief, Loss, Transformation. Go figure, why that theme just before Valentines Day, which celebrates Love ~ I don’t know, that is what Spirit said to speak about.
February 12 would be the 40th Anniversary of Alan Hutner’s show and my show, Transitions Radio Magazine and then we (Alan & I) got married on Valentine’s Day ~ just like my grandparents did ~ thought that would be cool. In Santa Fe style, we did have our Astrologer look at the best time for us to get married; late morning ~ was one of the best days of my life, that and giving birth to my daughter, and the very sad death of my mother and I’ve had many in-between ~ very grateful for.
Poetry of Paul David Walker and Deena Metzger. Music of Laurianne Fiorentino, Martha Reich, Michael Kott, Chinmaya Dunster and Chris Chickering.
First, going to read the prologue from Paul David Walker’s book Storms and Clearings. He is a poet, a philosopher and a Leadership coach for CEO’s and Fortune 500 companies. Had the great pleasure of meeting Paul back in the day. He was a lovely man. Felt like his Prologue was important to give voice to and to recite his poem called Hard Winter. Going to go to the music of Chinmaya Dunster from his 2009 album, Land of the Buddhas, this song is called Elephant Spawn. Learn more about Chinmaya Dunster as an artist and you can purchase his music at newearthrecords.com. Chinmaya is going to provide the sound bed…also for the poem The First of Us.
“It is my experience, that a poet’s job is to explore the unknown and come back and make a report. These are my reports. Meant to be read out loud, even if you’re alone, give voice to them. They are songs as much as poems. Please do not look for hidden messages or meaning. Just let them take you on a journey. Be open to whatever you discover for yourself. Inspired by the muses, both living and dead, Reason for writing these poems is to be part of creating a world that looks like the following; we are a world that:
Celebrates, nurtures and protects the human spirit in all its diversity.
Is committed to freedom, equality, and personal accountability
Teaches children to express and share love unconditionally
Protects the minority, while being an expression of consensus
Uses the status quo as a platform to explore the unknown
Compels its people to be involved in the discovery of the unknown
Provides opportunity to be a part of change or a pillar of history
Loves and understands first and is slow to judge
Here’s his poem called Hard Winter:
Winter came in dark and cold this year. Leaning against the raging wind tired me, and forced me to hold on and protect my frightened heart from being torn out by the sudden and thoughtless freezing gales. My flowers suddenly withered and died. Growing slowed and I fell to earth. My juices and rhythms hid deep within. And reaching out was painful and constrained. My winter was so close to death this year. I thought spring would never come again. I saved each breath to build walls and will to hide the failing light and dimming dreams. But just this morning I heard a song about the world dying to believe in freedom. I saw my roses opening up to the movement and warmth of the certain spring. The sun is stronger now, as it pierces my clouds and maybe it’s just a desperate hope, but gentle birds are singing and drawing. My heart to glide across golden waters. My mind paints pictures of lovely dreams instead of dark fears and sorrowful wars. My ears hear symphonies opening with light. Instead of lonely songs of dark closing death. I am more easily drawn to tears and dreams and there is a yearning to come home again. My heart is climbing out of the dead soil, though it still fears the killing frost.
Here’s another poem by Paul David Walker from Storms & Clearings: First of Us
This windy spring afternoon, just before the flying sand drove us off the beach, I heard the voices of old friends mixed with the laughter of children. Tell me that you died. All my senses suddenly snapped to attention, and life seemed more fragile. I walked twice as far today, and held my heart all night to know that you, the most gentle among us, are the first of us to die. The first in our circle committed to “make a difference in the lives of people,” to leave this hard world. You were always the first to love, to see the other side, to defend the fallen. And now the first to die. I hope that you will stay with us a while in spirit. To touch our hearts from death as you did in life, because I need your assurance once again.
So beautiful! That reminds me of the Constellation Way – that work definitely helped me to strengthen my connection with the unseen dimensions and those that do cross over. Helped me so much.
Laurianne Fiorentino / Teardrop Song / When I’m An Angel
2017 / beautiful song about the heart; needing to cry; movement is very essential in loss, death, grief ~ helps to transform that energy. Movement: whether it’s tears or walking, dancing; move very important.
David R. Hawkins – Power versus Force: The levels of human consciousness: Grief 4th of 15 level. “This is the level of sadness, loss and dependency. Most of us have experienced it for periods of time, but those who remain at this level, live a life of constant regret and depression. This is the level of mourning, bereavement and remorse about the past. Habitual losers, chronic gamblers who accept failure as part of their lifestyle, resulting in loss of jobs, friends, family, opportunity, health and money. Major losses early in life make one vulnerable to passive acceptance of grief later on, as though sorrow were the price of life. In grief, one sees sadness everywhere – in little children, in life itself. This level colors one’s entire vision of existence. Part of the syndrome of grief is the notion of irreplaceability of what’s been lost or that which it symbolized. A generalization from the particular; so that loss of a loved one is equated with the loss of love; at this level, such emotional losses, may trigger a serious depression or death. Although grief is the cemetery of life, has more energy than apathy; when a traumatized, apathetic patients begins to cry, we know they are getting better. Once they start to cry, they will eat again.
Do not wallow in your grief, my friend. It’s normal to have one or two years grieving the loss of someone or something, but after that it’s time to move on, otherwise you subject yourself
to the possibility of being stuck in that energy and behavior for a very long time. So please, use your tears, use your walking and please move the energy and move out of it.

Going from winter to spring ~ thank goodness
Feature the poetry of Deena Metzger and the music of Chris Chickering to honor this Whole Brain Podcast ~ stimulating the left (brain) by much of the talk and stimulating your right (brain) by the music.
Poetry of Deena Metzger – Deena is an essayist, novelist, storyteller, teacher, healer, medicine woman. Counseled others for over 50 years from her book of poetry Ruin and Beauty: new and selected poems.
The Mystery of the Birds:(Spring is coming. The thawing is coming.) In the morning, we were seated in the garden, l learning the way. The mystery in ecstatic feathers, crimson lapis, amber, vermilion, is enamored with the dusky gray bird, The male desires the invisible, while she must be satisfied with splendor. The sap is running evenly up and down the World Tree. In a universe without direction, the center is everywhere. Last night, after a season, of a single tone, an owl answered another lonely owl and then, unable to keep their calls separate, they mated in separate octaves of song before ten women in a room on the eve of a wedding. This is the secret: great striped and speckled creatures feel rapture in the presence of the plain. Here is the practice: Behold! Be aware. Touch. Bow down in awe.
A Lake in the Mind:What’s essential is a lake in the mind, and then this wind freshening, blowing through the windows, insistent with the assurance of morning, but now the shimmer of the first moon on the waters, and the blue glimmer of the night sky alive with invisible stars and such a long draught of silence – the water clear and coming from the source which is either at the very core of the earth or somewhere far beyond earth in the heavens – that we speak of it in the only language we know, the early morning or midnight of the lake, the first streak of birdsong across the waters, the way the moonlight breaks, this language, being the only language for what it is we wish to speak about without saying a word, the early morning or midnight of the lake and the first streak of birdsong and the wind blowing across the surface and the mind like a bell.
Ruin & BeautyRuin and beauty:
Despair not, there will be a future;
There will be a future before or after we die.
There are those who are trying to set fire to the world.
We are in danger. There is time only to work slowly.
There is no time not to love.
Music of Chris Chickering in just a minute, but I do want to mention a little more about grief. Elisabeth Kubler Ross wrote a book on Death & Dying in 1969. Describes stages of grief does have a pattern to it: death of a loved one: denial, anger, bargaining, depression, acceptance. I have noticed with my own grief which I had a cascade of it, starting in 2015 going til 2020 – in a four year period, I can’t tell you how much I lost, but I lost a lot. There were experiences in which I very distinctly went through these stages of loss and experiences in which I came to know my loss as a deeply human experience. Also one which helped me to grow and have more compassion for others. In this letting go, there was a passive sort of acceptance – I understand that is not ideal, but that is how I felt. I accepted the loss more easily than I would have prior to this.
Chris Chickering / Shadow of Doubt / The Resurrection of Me
Definitely has that good male energy of “don’t give up, hold on, another day is coming.” That’s good to know when you are in grief, loss and transformation. That there is another day coming. I really do feel that, even though we are in this time of great transition folks, that another day is coming. Be patient. Pray. Be the Light that you are and of the Light You Shall Remain. Lots of love to you this coming week. Happy Valentines Day. Here’s Chris.
Lyrics to Teardrop Song by Laurianne Fiorentino 2017
All the tears you never cry,
Sit it the dark and wonder why
They’re just dying to fall,
For the thrill of it all
From a heavy heart
Every tear that you deny,
Becomes a tiny little lie
Why not let the truth fall,
For the thrill of it all
From a heavy heart
Y’know a teardrop has no shame
Every sunbeam feels the same
A heavy heart is like a sun
Who won’t shine for anyone
You never see a heavy sun
Rain or shine it’s all for fun
Why not let the tears fall
For the thrill of it all
Making light a heavy heart
And It’s a perfect day
When a teardrop gets its way
And like a sunbeam gets to fall
For the thrill of it all
Making light a heavy heart
So let the teardrops fall
For the thrill of it all
Making light a heavy heart
Lyrics to Little Wings by Martha Reich 2011
It’s just an empty page
there’s no need to be afraid
but sometimes we feel a little lost
when everyone has flown away.
you are not alone
and where you stand is not your only home
there is someone watching over you
though you can not see them
this is what they are telling you.
Chorus:
Don’t look down, don’t look down
look up to the sky
soon your little wings will be strong enough to fly
just look up, just look up and all around
it’s in the clouds that you’ll be found
there’s no need to be ashamed
just because you don’t want to go
out in the rain
we all grow at our own speed
soon you’ll be singing to me from that willow tree.
Bridge:
where did you go, where did you go
when I wasn’t looking
What did you say, what did you say
when I couldn’t hear
now that your gone my heart is broken
oh how I wish, you were still near.
Lyrics to Shadow of Doubt words and music by Chris Chickering & Greg Barnhill 2014
Don’t think it’s over
when over is only a ghost
Just open a window
when you feel the doors have all closed
And just hold on
Another day’s coming along if you let it so
Hold out
There’s a lining of silver that traces the shadow of doubt
Don’t say ya can’t
when ya know damn well deep that ya can
Don’t turn away
oh now don’t let the fear steal your chance
And just hold on
Another day’s comin’ along if you let it, so
Hold out
There’s a lining of silver that traces the shadow of doubt
There’s another way
Always another road
So it’s steady on
And be good to yourself as you go
There will be rain
and the wind it may blow you off course
But don’t be denied
of the destiny waiting that’s yours
And just hold on
Another day’s comin’ along if you let it, so
Hold out
There’s a lining of silver that traces the shadow
Hold on
Another day’s comin’ along if you let it, so
Hold out
There’s a lining of silver that traces the shadow of doubt

Wake Up and Smell the CoffeeMasculine Wisdom: Question ~ What is the overarching goal of the Restoration Project: three cards came out very easily ~ rather than read the whole thing, I am going to outline some of the highlights:
Sensing: “Humans are the otters of the universe, playfully exploring endless sensuality. When you are fully present to your senses; paying attention to everything, then you can transform reality and enter paradise. Requires you to slow down, accept the gifts life offers you each day. Wholeheartedly allow yourself the joys of your body moving, expressing and sensing life itself”…to gleen…”each moment, a myriad of blessings are offered that touch you, pleasure you, teach you. Such blossoms are opening all around – unfolding treasures of sensuality designed to delight you.” My sense is that the Restoration Project will awaken many to their senses.
Wild man Card Pull – “the energy and desire of this card is transformative. If there is little that excites you, the task is more difficult.” Dance your dance. Breathe into and feel into your passions. “Unlocking this cage, frees you to rebuild the bridge to your expansive passions and to open the gates that hold them back. Those deep desires hold the key to your continued development and personal evolution… You shall succeed. There are no beginnings or endings to your unique life passions. Are you ready to enter the forest of your deepest desires to finally embrace what your wild man offers.”
Water Card Pull ~ reminder to go with the flow. Know that anything is possible. Like the water that forms the rock ~ keeps bathing it, until finally that rock forms to the water. It lets go to the water. It is massaged by the water. Go with the flow, engage your senses and your passions ~ the overarching goal of this Restoration Project. Restore kindness, integrity, respect and strength back into the several systems called forth.

Laurianne Fiorentino / Trouble / When I’m An Angel / 2017
Lyrics to Trouble by Laurianne Fiorentino
Trouble is just tenderness of the heart
Held hostage in a troubled mind
Trouble will always see you through
That forest that keeps the light from finding you
I came to you in Trouble,
You’d had enough of Trouble
I didn’t mean to Trouble you
You said it was no Trouble at all
Then Trouble surrounded me
and Trouble surrounded you too
I wasn’t looking for Trouble,
Trouble found me anyway
You thought I was giving you Trouble
When I was just trying to stay out of Trouble’s way
Oh how we Troubled each other
And Trouble gave way to more Trouble
The next time you’re in Trouble
Take the Trouble to stop Troubling yourself
Ask Trouble say Hey what’s the Trouble?
Let Trouble have its way for a while
Then trouble’s gonna work it out and
Trouble will melt into no Trouble at all

Featured Music of Joanne Rand
Reading from Flo’s book Sunlight on Water on Light, and I am a Light Being & Light I Shall Remain. Meditation on Golden Light substance and, if you want you can say, “I pledge to invite the golden arena of pure consciousness into my field of energy every day. To promote balance in myself, in others and in the universe. Understand, I must be proactive if my life is to change. There is no going back. I hold and cherish my consciousness as the vehicle of transformation. Do not project or transfer my thoughts and feelings. I own them. Creating anything requires alignment and balance with creation.” One more Reading from Flo’s book. Is about Connection. “The principal of cooperation; when practiced, the dynamics of cooperation, you create layers upon layers of union; you gladly share your gifts, abilities & knowledge. Each person knows something different from others; may not know what that is. First exercise: what do I know that is valuable, what gifts might I share. Then make available to others. Sharing, connection, magic – needs are met. Access to information, experience, resource. Practical and no longer alone ~ part of a beautiful network. You are that.”
Music of Joanne Rand. Composer, teacher, poet and activist Psycheldelic Folk, Revival Music – experimental rock, blues, world beat, classical. Born and bred in Deep South ~ infused in her songwriting. Elegant, fierce, brilliant. Song, Grant Me Eyes, sang to brother who died of Aids, shortly before invention of cocktail that kept many alive. Song about connection and love.
Lyrics to Grant Me Eyes by Joanne Rand 1995
God grant me eyes
To make me wise
God grant me wings
To make me fly
And don’t let Love go by
God grant me arms
With which to hold
God grant me legs
To take me home
And don’t let Love go
God take my hand
And lead me
I understand
And do believe
And don’t let Love leave
And don’t let Love leave
And don’t let Love leave
Wake Up and Smell the Coffee• Bards Fest. The Druthers Newspaper ~ articles by: Activist Cody Kuntz & What is Freedom (author unknown; originally published in The Pamphlet by Wade John Taylor)
Letter From An 18 year old Activist. By Cody Kuntz
“Less than 6 months ago I was just a kid living his best life. Who knew going out to a few lockdown rallies, speaking to other kids and making a live stream would end me up 29 days in jail and 5 pending criminal charges. It has been a very crazy journey and I’m beyond blessed for everything that this journey has taught me. Covid-19 has not only affected my life, but millions of kids across the country. Covid has made me a strong, determined 18 year old. I have been able to accomplish things I never have been able to prior to Covid-19. I am blessed that I am on the right journey. I am on the right side of history and can not believe that I was picked. I will never be able to thank everyone enough for all the support and for trusting me and allowing me into their houses and allowing me to educate their teens, kids and family members. The world is turning into a very scary place and if we don’t start to stand up, it’s going to be too late. We will then have nothing to live for. We need to stand up and fight back. … Now is the time to stand up and if you aren’t willing to stand up for whatever the reason is, please support and stand with me. I am here to protect and save the kids, and if you are not willing to do that, please give me the littlest support and stand with me. If you are scared to stand up, all I ask is that you stand behind me because if we don’t start standing up and doing even the smallest things, we will no longer have the Canada we love and enjoy.”
Very courageous thing of him to write and stand up for. His website is codykuntz.com. Beautiful representation of courage.
Now going to speak of freedom or liberty. Liberty is the quality or state of being free. “What is Freedom?” Have you ever pondered about “Liberty?” The word is tossed around with her brother “Freedom” and their father “Sovereignty,” but what do those words represent? You as an individual are unique. Your hopes, wants, desires, wisdom and other physical and mental traits are one of a kind. There certainly may be similarities with you and others on many levels, but ultimately there is only one of you. You have the inherent right to be you and experience your existence to the fullest should you hinder none that same right. These concepts of free determination are certainly not uniquely American. Our Founding Fathers were blessed with being born in the tail end of the Enlightenment. That means that, like peers of the age, they had a fantastic desire to grasp what it is like to be human and had a keen understanding of human nature. They studied where systems of government were installed by either the people or by force. They understood how great empires throughout history had come and gone. And they knew that no one system of government would ever stand once it had set upon the course of devouring its people to perpetuate itself. Those wise men came up with a fantastic system to preserve liberty. Parts of it are distinctly British in origin. But some fundamentals of Liberty and mutual respect in our Constitution trace their roots back to confederated tribes in the area who existed well before us. To throw off this system of liberty would be a shameful disservice to the Native contribution to who we are as a group of individual peoples on this continent. Our Constitution is a multicultural document. It took the best parts of many systems of government and formed an improved system that enables all people to exercise their Natural Rights…
Again, the question remains, what is freedom? Is it a system where people have a common moral code that establishes mutual respect and boundaries that don’t hinder liberty? …
Six years ago, is was retired. I lived on the beach and went to sleep every night with the Pacific Ocean in my ear. Was I happy? No, I was miserable. I gave all that up. I bought a small home that is older than I am and needs a lot of work. It sits on enough land for me to raise farm animals and have a healthy garden. I plant fruit trees and timber almost every year. I now live more rural than when I was raised. The garden start as rocks with a little bit of dirt. We hauled in plenty of dirt and manure over the years and produced our own compost as well. It has been a labor of love and we have even lost can entire harvest as a learning lesson along the way. That is what freedom is. The ability to say, “No I am not done with this life. My best years are ahead of me and I am going to take charge of my own life and become was self-sufficient as I can. You have the freedom right now to start over no matter your station or disabilities. You can purchase a piece of land and make a homestead out of it and create something out of nothing. Now, you can’t do that everywhere in America anymore. And that is our own fault. But you can still build the American dream out of nothing but a scrap of land if you seek it. Then you can truly experience the concept of personal sovereignty.
Can you experience freedom without owning land? Sure, you can also experience music without going to a concert. But once you experience the real deal, you understand it on a whole new level, and anything less is somehow less satisfying. By striving to be self-sufficient in our family’s food production, I have learned that you can’t have liberty without responsibility. That is what freedom means to me.”
With gears and go to the music of Joanne Rand. This song, “Twinkle Twinkle” was created from Joanne’s six year experience of being in the wilderness; take her canoe for a wild ride across a very large creek, then hike in a mile and a half, to her home which was in a treehouse. This song, “Twinkle Twinkle” is on her 2005 album Where Our Power Lies.
Enjoy, your Martin Luther King Day. Enjoy your Freedom!
Lyrics to Twinkle, Twinkle by Joanne Rand 1992:
I lived in a tree
And late at night, I would see
Stars dancing dancing in thin air
Trembling light without a care
Singing home to me:
“I am free “
Starlight star bright
First star I see tonight
Send me down a strand of hair
That I may climb up there
And be free
Show me a little one
Who loves to laugh and have her fun
And I will never thirst for love
Or yearn to be the stars above
Singing home
Twinkle twinkle little star
How I wonder what you are
I once was you
Stardust I am made of too
Won’t you sing me home?
Won’t you sing me home?
Won’t you sing me home?
I am free

Happy New Year everyone! This episode will be a special compilation of the “Best of 2023” features in my podcast, Stop and Smell the Roses and Wake Up and Smell the Coffee.
These are special picks by my editors at MDesignsmarketing.com highlighting some of the best parts of each episode. Thank You very much for doing that.
Please enjoy the readings, stories, songs, podcast artwork and more as we revisit each selection.
…. and, thanks again for listening and supporting this podcast. We will now end with one last musical piece to ring in the New Year, Auld Lang Syne! This piece was created by Julius H… who says about this composition Quote “my music is played and arranged by myself conventionally on a Yamaha Keyboard or Synthesizer and not with a mouse on a computer!” He creates his images and videos with Lexica (AI), Uni Dream (AI), Affinity Designer, Apple iMovie and Apple Motion.
If you like to support him, he would be very happy if you could leave likes, comments and a New Years/Good Wishes tip.
That’s from Julius. Thank you for this wonderful version of Auld Lang Syne. Again, Happy New Year Folks! Much Love, Bye.
Thanks, Julius https://pixabay.com/users/juliush-3921568/

Podcast Episode 2 – Segment 1 Stop and Smell the Roses First will include some Leftovers from the 1st Episode On Courage. I do want to remind you that what you hear here is offered to Assist you in cultivating a greater appreciation of the many Blessings of your life ~ I encourage you, to be the Curator of your own Life. Do even Better than you already are doing. Cheerleader! Coach! Raise Your Frequency Vibe! I would add, I am the voice of the collective. Some of the feedback I received after the first Episode: my voice was melodious, nurturing, nourishing, calming, centering & grounding. And the podcast itself was uplifting and positive. Thank you for that feedback. Tis greatly appreciated. I do want to review, what I mean by Whole Brain Podcast?- to unify the left and right brain, to rewire our humanness/humanity, introduce your left and right brain to each other; WHY? In my opinion, LIFE WORKS BETTER TOGETHER when we come from our whole brain and I do feel like we’ve been pushed/abused even, engaging our left brain ONLY. Have you noticed how much more is on the computer and how much more is robotics? “They” have not wanted us to be emotional. My brother used to say “You, Americans hug too much.” He didn’t like America so much. Lived in Germany for a while and Australia. There is a time and a place for sure for left brain. What DOES the left brain do? Good for Analyzing, scientific, non-emotional, logic, reason, practicality – Awesome! Right? correct?) What DOES the RIGHT BRAIN DO? The part I feel they’ve been trying to shut down. They’ve been trying to do this for a long time. (Holistic, i.e. deals with the whole vs parts, evaluation, detects essence, sees the patterns, very creative, comprehension/meaning, non-linear, engages the Intuition~ helps you get out of the way – needed for labor. i.e low lighting, quiet, not moving the Mom move too much – allows her to sink into right brain more). Whole Brain Podcast Effect is that it brings on FULL ON CONNECTIVITY. Stop and Smell the Roses ~ “Slow down you move too fast…remember that song from the 60’s, 70’s?… you gotta make the morning last just, kicking down the cobblestones, looking for fun and feeling Groovy.” Used to think that word was so cool – Groovy. Looked up recently on the web: means: wonderful, marvelous, excellent, performing well, as in you’re in the groove – jazz slang term from the 1930’s. Slow Down and Stop & Smell the Roses. You can light a candle everyday. I know you can. Every day you can slow down, stop and smell the roses, I know you can. Pay attention to what’s going on around you. No more Excuses. No more Reasons. Fast forward to Quote: Insert / Was so excited about this. / Sure you can get this on-line ▪ New Quote on Courage from the book “Power vs Force: The Hidden Determinants of Human Behavior” by David. R. Hawkins, M.D & PhD ~ he measures the characteristics of Energy Levels of Human Consciousness. ▪ by David R.Hawkins. He is an MD and a PhD. He has practiced Psychiatry since 1952 and is a life member of the American Psychiatric Association. He has published numerous scientific papers and videotapes and co-authored the book Orthomolecular Psychiatry with Nobelist Linus Pauling. He has a diverse background as a teacher and researcher and has a biographical listing in the Who’s Who in America (Deceased now, at the age of 85, as of 2012). ▪ Discovered in that process that Courage is the turning point: Ways in which we feel Power/Empowerment – A study he and his comrades did. Profound and far reaching. All Levels below 200 are Destructive. Beginning of that Scale starting at 20 going to 1,000 ~ Courage is the Fulcrum at 200. I will let you know what comes before and after courage. Courage/Power/Energy. I equate power with energy. ▪ Again all levels below 200 go weak and are destructive. All Levels Above 200 are Constructive. Do not wallow. Vulnerability. ▪ Courage is taking a leap of faith: does require strength, determination, fortitude. ▪ At lower levels: the world is seen as hopeless, sad, frightening, or frustrating. ▪ At the level of Courage, life is seen to be exciting, challenging and stimulating. ▪ Courage implies the willingness to try new things, and deal with the changes and challenges of life. Empowerment/cope and effectively handle opportunities of life. ▪ At 200, the energy to learn new job skills is available. ▪ Growth and education become attainable goals. ▪ Capacity to face fears or character defects and to grow despite them. ▪ Anxiety does not cripple endeavor as it would at lower stages of evolution. ▪ Obstacles that defeat people whose consciousness is below 200 act as stimulants to this who have evolved into the first level of true power or empowerment. ▪ Draining at lower levels vs. at higher levels; put back energy into environment. ▪ Productivity begins. ▪ Evolved. Evolution. ▪ Below 200 is Shame, Guilt, Apathy, Grief/Sadness, Fear, Desire, Anger, Pride. ▪ Above 200 is Neutrality, Willingness, Acceptance, Reason, Love, Joy, Peace, Enlightenment. ▪ Time for Music ▪ “Power vs Force: The Hidden Determinants of Human Behavior” by David. R. Hawkins, M.D & PhD ~ he measures the characteristics of “Energy Levels of Human Consciousness.” Devour this book. Will uplift you. • SONG: KALYANI & Circle Up / “I Let Love” / Kalyani Collection / 5:53 Why did I choose that song it? It’s Simple, Slow, Repetitive. I love it. It’s beautiful. • Kalyani is from Rough & Ready CA go to • https://soundcloud.com/kalyani-marsh for more songs by Kalyani End Part I **************** Second Segment of this Podcast is called Wake up and Smell the Coffee! Challenge you a Bit More ~Take it up a Notch Focus is On Taming Our Ego/Pride Review Very Quickly How to Raise Your Frequency ▪ Relax/De-stress/Reduce stress ▪ Educate, Show Up more,Pray for Direction ~ Day or Night: Light a Candle/No Excuses ▪ Do More Right Brain Activities! ▪ Rest/Sleep More! Engage in Sensual Exploration more! ▪ Make another List of what you’re grateful for! ▪ Be Curious! Explore! Be Adventurous (Take Risks) & even be Playful. ▪ Again, What are your Passions? Discover them. ▪ Protect Oneself. ▪ Start visualizing/daydreaming what could be; know that what you attract is created by your thoughts and words. ▪ New task is to achieve balance between work & family ~ that’s a hard one, right? ▪ Get to know your ancestors (and their stories, passed down orally from generation to generation ~ which are often true ~ so my great teacher of the Constellation Way, taught us). In this Culture we don’t know about our ancestors ~ don’t have to be deceased; for example, your parents are considered your ancestors too. ▪ Call in your ancestors to be involved ~ gather/include in your ancestors in your personal power protection team (gather those in the unseen dimensions). ▪ My brother looked at our ancestors in Germany & France. Went back to the 15th Century. Check out your history a bit more. Don’t care for Ancestry.com. ▪ Strength in Numbers ~ take action with others ~ that requires Courage. Do action with others or have a friend/ mentor support and help you! A life line. ▪ Engage the Biblical principle of whenever “two or more are gathered.” ▪ Quotes on Ego/Pride: From: “Power vs. Force”: The Hidden Determinants of Human Behavior by David R. Hawkins, M.D. Ph.D. ▪ People ~ Elite have acquired wealth, fame, attention ~ which has distorted their egos and reinforced the small self instead of the big Self. ▪ Small Self is vulnerable to flattery; big Self is an aspect of our more evolved nature which is humble and grateful for success. ▪ Evolved Ego is more humble, grateful, cordial, sensitive, caring. ▪ Alignment: attractor patterns and fields ~ weak and high-energy ▪ Less evolved ego is more destructive and corrupting; depending how it is integrated into our personality: can become arrogant, egotistical, officious, controlling ~ when given a small amount of authority vs the knowing of people of great authority who are more cordial, sensitive and caring, more gracious, open and giving. ▪ What do you think? ▪ Quotes on Pride: Another Level of Human Consciousness that was rated ~ just before courage. ▪ Pride can be removed from us (relies on external ~ what is outside of ourselves) and can knock us back to into feelings of shame, guilt or fear, when influences are taken away ▪ United States Marine Corp. ▪ Pride is outside of ourself. Without external conditions, pride can suddenly revert to lower levels. ▪ Whereas courage is more internal. ▪ Pride can be defensive, divisive (can give rise to factionalism), can also be arrogant and in denial ~ blocks growth. ▪ And the inflated ego is vulnerable to attack. ▪ That’s interesting, right? ▪ Taming ~ Look it up. Our pride and ego: keep seeing petting big lion/big cat. Taming is about raising our frequency ▪ Going to introduce you to Chris Chickering: Go out with some Music toTickle your Right Brain Chris Chickering / Freedom Lies Within – Extended Version / The Resurrection of Me / 2014 Splash Hopefully this segment has Wiped some of the Sand From Your Eyes and helped you to remove that which impedes you from having breakthroughs and to wake up! “Engage your Senses (put your Smart phone down and look up) & Be Whole Brained in your Approach: Be Smart/Wise/Intelligent/Forthcoming in your Choices (know WHY you are doing this activity), Be Fiercely Loving, Kind, Generous, Boundried, Open-Minded, Open-Hearted. Trusting. Know you are Divinely Guided, Divinely Protected. Be Your own CURATOR and ask what resonates with you (might even have a tuning fork or sound healing session – one way to turn on your right brain). Hopefully this segment has helped you Wipe the Sand From Your Eyes (at least some of it) and helps you to remove what Impedes you (at least some of it) from having Breakthroughs and to Wake Up!” End Part II Homework Challenges 1. 1. Link goes to Michelle Moore’s podcast on 5/24/23 https://rumble.com/v2prvra-the- michelle-moore-show.html Cue in Bystander Piece 10:00-12:47 Being a Bystander: The Choice is Yours. Commit to NOT being a BYSTANDER (show & share thought/opinions afterwards). • List 3 things you are going to DO (not just think about) in order to fulfill/take action on your commitment to doing something courageous aka out of the box/matrix. • Challenge yourself NOT TO DISCONNECT/NUMB OUT (is that what society wants you to do. Be PRESENT. Don’t blindly follow the sheeple. 2. Challenge Yourself! You will Move Some Molecules! View the movie “Sound of Freedom.” Take a “normie” friend and discuss afterwards over tea/coffee or food.
“A true healer does not heal you; she simply reflects back to you your innate capacity to heal. She is a reflector, or a loving transparency. A true teacher does not teach you; she does not see you as inherently separate from her, or less than her. She simply reflects back your own inner knowing, and reminds you of the vastness of your being. She is a mirror, a signpost. And love is the space in which all of this is possible; love heals, and we learn best in a loving field, no threat of failure, no punishment.” — Jeff Foster from Awakening Together
In addition to this great quote from Jeff, my guidance to you, in choosing a “Healer,” whether it be me or an other is to trust your inner knowing and ask yourself a few questions:
Does this person resonate with me? In other words, do you like their voice and the way you feel in your exchange with them?
Does your heart open? Does your gut relax?
Do you feel safe with them and trust the space they are holding for you?
Are they truly a good listener or does it feel like they’re just in a rush to tell you something about them, when in fact this time is about you?
Do they feel like they have your highest well-being in their sites?
Do you like the questions they ask you? These are simple but potent guidelines I use when I’m making a choice about whom to share my deep soul and heart with, and whose guidance I trust will actually help me to rise above my current conundrum; to see my life from a new perspective at the very least or monumentally to help shift my life’s trajectory in a positive direction.
In your heart and soul you will know. The mind alone is usually not a reliable barometer but can certainly help in terms of the practical things, like do their rates and payment offerings work well for me? What sort of credibility or background do they have?
I always tune into my Heart, my Mind, my Body and my Soul – when I make decision and consider “all of me” together, I get a clear answer.Granted, we’re not meant to “work” with just anyone. I know this to be true for myself. I do know that I’m an extraordinary listener and I truly care. I also know that I have gifts in helping others and I like the feeling of supporting others to shine their light in the world!
I offer a 10 minute free phone consult which I hope will help you in making a joyful decision for yourself as to whether or not you feel we are a good fit. You can email me at rose@roseblossom.com or call 505.690.5310
https://roseblossomtlc.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/05/RosieRuminationMothersDay051318.mp3Today is Mother’s Day. For the third year in a row I am without my mother and my daughter. My mom crossed over 3 years ago, and my 28 year old daughter continues her voyages on sea and land, straddling both worlds metaphorically and literally, grappling to find her good way in this chaotic world. As the generation, sandwiched between the two most significant, yet absent women in my life, I too strive to find balance with many of life’s challenges that we, as women, collectively face today…radical change, perceived loss, loneliness, reclaiming our authority, searching for the deeper meaning of it all, living without fear as our next step – all is replete with uncertainty. It’s free fall time for many; anxities abound, trust wears thin and we wonder about our security in the world. Lately I’ve heard from young mothers and women my daughter’s age how frightened, sad, stressed out, tired, confused and trapped they feel. In essence, damned if they do, damned if they don’t.
Please take a moment to search your soul and imagine what you would say to one of these young women or one of these mothers. They are afterall someone’s daughter or perhaps someone’s mother ~ as you are surely someone’s child– for you might be surprised to be given this rare opportunity to offer a loving, kind listening ear to one of these precious women, and then to offer a simple, but potent loving pearl of wisdom for their heart, mind, body and soul.
What would you say to them? What experience have you undergone that could you share with them that might reach their heart and soul and support a relevant shift for their betterment? Or what treasure of beauty could you gift them: some artwork or jewelry, a favorite music compilation or poem. My sense is that just your loving Presence will make a huge difference. Be the sound of love reaching out through the storm. Be the love that lends a helping hand to a young mom out in public who is stressing out, trying her best to manage the grocery cart, her tantruming kid and a grocery list she managed to scribble out before she left the house. Be the love that lends a few minutes of your time to hold space for a young woman who is in a state of distress as the energies are too intense for her to process on her own. Be the Love that you naturally are.
On this Mother’s Day, also open your own Heart to the beauty of the world around you: the blossoming flower, the gentle sound of the running water, see the injured bird, see the young one within you…in essence “mother” all around you today with tender, yet fiercely strong loving care. Be a LifeGiver today and offer your healing balm to those close to you, those strange to you, those different than you. Be sensitive. Be authentic and loving.
And as I have said in my Mother’s Day Ruminations the last two years – my Mother’s Day wish is that you please take some time today, set aside all the wrongs you may have in your heart and mind about your own mother, and instead send her healing, loving energy, and include your birth. Surround both of you in pure, white light and allow the Divine to bathe you both in Love. I can assure you, both of you will benefit. She is your mother, the only mother you will ever have. Thank her for passing Life onto you as you would give thanks to Mother Earth for sustaining you in all the Ways that she does, from sunrise to sunset and into the darkness of the night.
Now to the music. Here’s one of those songs I would share with a young woman or mother. An acapella piece by Tina Malia from her 2006 release The Silent Awakening called Holy Morn. Simple but oh so sweet.
This is for you my lovely daughter, Maia Aster and for my mother Irmgard Maria…and for all the daughters and mothers and sons who are hearing this today. You are Free.
https://roseblossomtlc.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/08/Rosie-Rumination-All-Night-Rain-Music-MPEG.mp3The other day when it was yet another relentlessly hot and dry day in Santa Fe, I rememebered how Alan & I would be sure to create a rainmaking set of music, to prompt our TRM listeners to take their thoughts and prayers more seriously and invoke the Sky Spirits to please offer us desert drought dry humanoids some significant measure of rain to drench our parched soul and soil. Why of course then, as I searched for a fitting rain song to accompany my Rumination today, about the power of our thoughts and prayer…in so doing, lucky for me and lucky for you, I discovered a two-in-one song. That is, a song about Rain and a song about Love. Yummy, what a good combo. Love and Rain.
Love. Love. There’s Old Love, New Love, True Love, Law of Vibrational Energy Love, Abiding Love,Transcendant Love, Love for Man, Love for Woman, Love for Child, Love for Four-legged, Love for a grassy patch of green, love for an Ocean wave, Love for a regal tree, Love for a rainstorm. Love that beholds. Love that forgives. Love that lets go. Love that prays. Love that heals our thoughts. Love that heals our bodies. Love that speaks of Truth. Love takes so many forms, it’s no wonder we, as humans, are moved and motivated by this experience, this feeling, this all night rain soaking truism called Love.
I wonder…do you ever pray for Love to permeate your life? I do. Do you ever pray for Love to heal your best friend? I do. Do you ever pray for Love to guide a good birth or a good death? I do. Do you ever pray for peace to reign in your heart and across the lands? I do. Do you ever pray for True Love? I do. Do you ever pray for Rain? I do. Not that you should do what I do, but I do want to remind you of the power of your thoughts, the power of prayer.
Indeed, like you, I am so grateful for this week’s rain and well, while the Sky Spirits are on a roll, why not pray for an All Night Rain. Oh…it’s happened here before in New Mexico. I remember a night when I attended a home birth and it rained all night; sometimes so hard the rain banged loudly on the roof of the home where this beautiful soul was born; so loud I could barely hear the moaning, orgasmic sounds of the mom in labor. By dusk, the rain was soft, but still falling and with it a sleek fog rolled in caressing the pinon dotted rolling hills, that could be seen outside the raindrop laden window. How lucky I thought, that this little soul was born this rainy, moist, soil drenched morn at home in Northern New Mexico.
So pray for more rain please. Pray for more Love please. Pray for Love to prevail. Pray for An All Night Rain.
And now to Lauria’s song “All Night Rain” from her release “When I’m An Angel”
https://roseblossomtlc.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/08/Grace-Adder-Rosie-Rumination-June-2018.mp3Be a Grace Adder today. A term, dear one, Flo Magdalena shared with me a few days ago. Enhance your surroundings with Grace. Pour the sweet unencumbered energy of Grace over all that is void of Love.
What is Grace anyway you may ask – to me Grace is a lighthearted brushstroke of the Divine, with a mixture of love, truth and caring bestowed to the one whom you are adding Grace to. For me, the feeling of Grace resides in my heart. Wikipedia says of Grace – quote, “simple elegance or refinement of movement; the bestowal of blessings” – I like that. When I think of Grace, the vibration of the word to me feels feminine, simple, sensual, flowing, open and certainly a brushstroke of sweet uplifting blessings. Have you ever been to the Hanuman Temple in Taos during Shivaratri? Well, the sacred ceremony includes pitchers full of honey, yogurt or coconut milk poured over a smooth lingam stone, or cosmic egg, over and over again for hours on end. Oooh…such sweet Grace, and just one grace-filled aspect of this sacred ceremony.
I guess, this is in part how I define Grace. How ‘bout you? How would you define Grace?
It may help to take the time to visit the terrain of your Heart and make a connection with the feeling of Grace; Spend a little time this morning quietly connecting to the rhythmn of your very own heart, and as you do, see if you can feel Grace? Can you sense her? Perhaps you feel her as love or caring in your Heart…are you aware of some feeling of warmth or love towards someone, maybe for a pet or an enjoyable experience that you recently had? How ever small or grand, no matter which way you go, this warmth in your Heart, this love will always follow you, always be true, always be around. Is that not Grace?
Now, once you’ve rediscovered this Grace, lift your head up and consciously make the choice to add some Grace to your day and consciously choose to share it with someone or some place in the world, just by concentrating on that person or place in your quiet stillness, and adding some Grace. This is how you become a Grace Adder.
If you yourself are in need, then by all means, add some Grace to your own day. To begin with, you can call in Grace as you make a mindful choice of the clothing you select to wear – adding Grace in color, in flow and in comfort as you Grace your body in today’s clothing. You might even consider looking at the label, seeing what country this piece of clothing was made and for a moment close your eyes and offer Grace to those who contributed to the making of your clothing, as well as those who took part in the transport of your clothing perhaps from half way across the world. This is how you become a Grace Adder.
You can do a simliar blessing for your food…add Grace to the meal you make for yourself or another. Bestow the food with Blessings for good health, balance, healing and love and remember to send some Grace to all those involved in getting that food into your mouth. This is how you become a Grace Adder.
Later today, if you choose to go out in public, share a little Grace with the stranger next to you in line at the store. They don’t have to know – though a little smile is nice, whilst bestowing them with a sweet mist of of invisible Grace. This is how you become a Grace Adder.
Transform your World today and every day by adding some Grace, Caring, Truth, Love and Blessings. Not for self-aggrandizement, but simply because you care to.
And now, to a Grace-filled song called “Love is” by Chad Wilkins…which is a good reminder for us to also add some Grace to our skies, and bring down some more lovely rain to Grace our dry southwestern lands.
https://roseblossomtlc.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/06/Rosie-Rumination-Sovereign-Self.mp3Today’s Rumination is a bit complex…or at least that’s how it came through in a manner of twists and turns – unlike my usual swift divine downloads that usher forth these Ruminations. I’m not sure why. I just get out the way, as as best as I can. Spirit was very specific about the songs I selected to compliment my Rumination today…actually to not just compliment, but enhance, embolden and enrichen the message I am to give to you through my Rumination.
So, without further ado…let’s get to it.
My Rosie’s Rumination today, is titled “Reclaim your Sovereign Divine Self” and subtitled: “Journey into the Underworld.” First, to speak of your Journey – what in the world do I mean by that here. Well, local singer songwriter extraordinaire, Martha Reich sings about one’s Journey in her song, to follow my Rumination called, “Walking in the Dark.” The Journey of the Self or of reclaiming one’s “sovereign self” is most often a solo Journey, and is often shrouded in doubt, judgement, fear, fatigue and unrest. Not unlike a Dark Night of the Soul, one part of our Journey is laden with shadow aspects of ourselves, also expressed in the second song by Chad Wilkins called “In Heart, In Mind” where he sings, quote “Break down my walls and defenses; my selfish pride and my offenses.” Both Martha and Chad illuminate the real notion that most of us, do indeed struggle with our shadow aspects.
But also, most of us, in our search for a brighter Self, a more loving, kind and generous Self, knowingly or not, take on the mantle of our Sovereignty as our guiding Light and moral force of absoluteness – in which our self appointed divine governance steadies us, sure and long enough for us to “see” the Light – which then beckons us to persevere; out of the pure space or chidakash space where we are able to control our mind/ego and intellect; thus opening our pure mind and heart to the insights about our conflict within. Our final authority or sovereign divine Self gladly assists us in transcending our shadow state, loosening the grip of evil in the multifaceted ways in which it tries to create unrelenting and unforgiving states of separation.Victoriously, we rise to the top and out into the Light. Be astonished. Show up and release your old identities.
In Martha’s fierce kindness, she implores you “don’t give up, don’t give in,” and she reminds you that not only is “this a part of your Journey, but this is not the end.” Wisely, she emphasizes this compassionate understanding, when she sings “You think your Journey has come to its end; it goes on and on again.”
Alas, your Journey does go on and on…thank goodness! How else would you keep your inner Sovereign-self pencil sharp? But remember too, as Chad so cleverly declares in his song, is this understanding that when we enter into the darkness we are also asking the Light to: “Awake my spiritual senses, to know the meaning of this Presence,” says Chad. Yes, I add, Spirit please awaken MY spiritual senses, so that I may know the meaning of MY Presence.
My wish for you today, is that you accept your Sovereign journey into the Underworld, to face your shadows with Love and Courage, then dissolve anything that creates separation, angst and fear within your Heart and Mind. May you victoriously rise to the top with the reigning fierce Love of the Divine Light. Then share this inner knowing simply in frequency, simply in being yourself…share this with the one next to You and the next one and the next one. Again, not for self-aggrandizement, but simply because you care.
And now, to our Rumination music set after we hear a little more of Deuter. Then we’ll start you off with Martha Reich’s song, “Walking in the Dark,” followed by Chad Wilkins song, “In Heart, In Mind. Enjoy.”

Marketing There are many variations of passages of Lorem Ipsum available, but the majority have suffered alteration in some form, by injected humour, or randomised words which don’t look even slightly believable. If you are going to use a passage of Lorem Ipsum, you need to be sure there isn’t anything embarrassing hidden in the middle of text. All the Lorem Ipsum generators on the Internet tend to repeat predefined chunks as necessary, making this the first true generator on the Internet. It uses a dictionary of over 200 Latin words, combined with a handful of model sentence structures, to generate Lorem Ipsum which looks reasonable. The generated Lorem Ipsum is therefore always free from repetition, injected humour, or non-characteristic words etc.

Contrary to popular belief, Lorem Ipsum is not simply random text. It has roots in a piece of classical Latin literature from 45 BC, making it over 2000 years old. Richard McClintock, a Latin professor at Hampden-Sydney College in Virginia, looked up one of the more obscure Latin words, consectetur, from a Lorem Ipsum passage, and going through the cites of the word in classical literature, discovered the undoubtable source.

I haven’t written and recited a Rosie’s Rumination in a long time. This is perhaps my 40thone. I asked my friend, what should I speak about. He said Hope. I ruminated on Hope during one of my walks. This is what came to me. Hope co-exists with Faith and Intention. Hope can be a place […]
