Chaplain Laporte: Hebrews 4:16: Recent Episodes

Richie JL

Jesus is the answer. All you have to do is pray, have faith, and believe.

I give honor and thanks to my Lord an Savior, Jesus Christ, for all things. God has certainly always had His hand on my life, even in the times I was doing my own things and not following what God had purposes for my life. Growing up in church from a young child, I have always knew the Word, I loved God and the church, but my commitment was not present and I strayed doing things I had no business doing.

I am so grateful for the keeping power of God’s grace and mercy. He kept me and always reminded me of His Word. He spoke to my spirit and let me know He will always love me. I have such a reverence now for the Holy Spirit, my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ there is no turning back.

God now allows me to evangelize the gospel through teaching, prayer, song and prophecy. God has also given me a ministry to help others in Relationship and Divorce Life Coaching. Through prayer, my own experiences and the certification training, I am now able to help others overcome barriers they face, such as sadness, defeat, fear, anger and rejection. I am so thankful that God has allowed me and entrusted me to do His will and to minister to his people. I give all the glory God.

For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. John 3:16

God loves us so much. He does not want any to perish. He wants us to know His love for us. His love is like none other. We could never understand it, but we have faith that God wants the best for us, His children. We must learn to trust Him in all things. When we begin to understand and experience the compassion, mercy, and sovereignty of our loving God, we will begin to understand His love and grace toward us. All God wants is for us to love Him with our whole heart, to trust Him, to follow His Word. When we do this, we will begin to understand the love of God, hear his still small voice as He gently guides us. God’s desire is that we will all see Him in Heaven. If you have never known God, repent of your sins, tell God:

I am sorry for not living according to your Word. Help me to do what’s right. Forgive me of sins seen and unseen; known and unknown. I accept Christ as my Savior and believe that you died on the cross for my sin, that all sin would be forgiven and my life would be made whole. I thank you for loving me so much. Lord, I ask that you come into my life, clean my heart, my mind and my soul. Purify me and clean me up. Strengthen me and help me that I will walk in the way of your Word in scripture. Help me to be an example to others of your love, mercy and grace. I thank you and I praise you for all things. I pray all these things in the name of Jesus. Amen.

(Remember we pray in the name of Jesus because His name is powerful and cast out all evil. The Bible says that demons tremble at the sound of His name).

Trust God, have faith, pray and read your Bible to know God more and to build your faith. Remember, God loves you, always!

This episode is the first episode I did on Wisdom.com:

In scripture the "Latter rains" are rains that occur after crops have begun to grow and these rains provide water for nutrients and sustenance of crops.

Scripture speaks of the latter rains in James 5:7, Deuteronomy 11:14 Zechariah 10:1, Joel 2:23-24

In scripture the first rain were for the seeds to start growing and so that they would sprout.  But the Latter rains sustained those plants to continue to grow until it was time for them to be harvested.  God's Holy Spirit represents these rains.  One can do a study to learn about Gods outpouring of His Holy Spirit on the Day of Pentecost and then, in the time we are living now, how Gods Holy Spirit continues to be our strength for today.  I don't want to go into the detailed study because what God had given me for this episodes is a Word of encouragement for someone to keep pressing on and stay in faith.  Many times we worry in prayer, but God's Holy Spirit is always with us as our comforter, our peace and our deliverer.

10 Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might. (Ephesians 6:10)

It is time we open our spiritual eyes to what is happening in our world.  Satanic forces are moving about the lands seeking whom they may devour.  Sickness, disease, racism, hate, chaos, disorder,  immorality are spirits that have even infiltrated the church and the people of God are silent.  Satan knows his time is short, and the trick of the enemy is to come as a beacon of light, so that all will follow him.  Do not be deceived by what you see with your fleshly eyes!! Open your spiritual eyes and hear God speak.  The time is at hand that we must fast, pray and seek God like never before.  The time is nigh!!!  Seek the Lord while He may be found!!!  Do not be deceived!!

And seeing you will see and not perceive; 15 For the hearts of this people have grown dull. Their ears are hard of hearing,

And their eyes they have closed,

Lest they should see with their eyes and hear with their ears,

Lest they should understand with their hearts and turn,

So that I should heal them.’

Numbers 22

It is important that we obey God's Word in all things. Many times we think we know what's right, and God says to do something different. We keep asking God for direction, because we don't like the answer He gave.  The next thing we end up doing things our way for selfish reasons, but now, we have angered God, and He leaves us to our own accord because although,we asked for God's perfect will, we ignore it, and do things our own way.  God is not going to force us to listen to Him, He will step back and let you do things your way, but you will find, there is either trouble, things are more difficult, unsettling occurrences, and there isn't any peace.  God wants His perfect will for our lives.  He wants us to love Him so much that we willingly follow His Word.

4 And when the chief Shepherd shall appear, ye shall receive a crown of glory that fadeth not away.

5 Likewise, ye younger, submit yourselves unto the elder. Yea, all of you be subject one to another, and be clothed with humility: for God resisteth the proud, and giveth grace to the humble.

6 Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time:

7 Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.

8 Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:

9 Whom resist stedfast in the faith, knowing that the same afflictions are accomplished in your brethren that are in the world.

10 But the God of all grace, who hath called us unto his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that ye have suffered a while, make you perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle you.

4 Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.

5 For if we have been planted together in the likeness of his death, we shall be also in the likeness of his resurrection:

6 Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin.

7 For he that is dead is freed from sin.

8 Now if we be dead with Christ, we believe that we shall also live with him:

9 Knowing that Christ being raised from the dead dieth no more; death hath no more dominion over him.

10 For in that he died, he died unto sin once: but in that he liveth, he liveth unto God.

11 Likewise reckon ye also yourselves to be dead indeed unto sin, but alive unto God through Jesus Christ our Lord.

12 Let not sin therefore reign in your mortal body, that ye should obey it in the lusts thereof.

13 Neither yield ye your members as instruments of unrighteousness unto sin: but yield yourselves unto God, as those that are alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness unto God.

1 And you hath he quickened, who were dead in trespasses and sins;

2 Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience:

3 Among whom also we all had our conversation in times past in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind; and were by nature the children of wrath, even as others.

4 But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us,

5 Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;)

6 And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus:

7 That in the ages to come he might shew the exceeding riches of his grace in his kindness toward us through Christ Jesus.

Psalm 91 (KJV)

91 He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.2 I will say of the Lord, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust.3 Surely he shall deliver thee from the snare of the fowler, and from the noisome pestilence.4 He shall cover thee with his feathers, and under his wings shalt thou trust: his truth shall be thy shield and buckler.5 Thou shalt not be afraid for the terror by night; nor for the arrow that flieth by day;6 Nor for the pestilence that walketh in darkness; nor for the destruction that wasteth at noonday.7 A thousand shall fall at thy side, and ten thousand at thy right hand; but it shall not come nigh thee.8 Only with thine eyes shalt thou behold and see the reward of the wicked.9 Because thou hast made the Lord, which is my refuge, even the most High, thy habitation;10 There shall no evil befall thee, neither shall any plague come nigh thy dwelling.11 For he shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways.

Colossians 3:12-14 KJV)

12 Put on therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, bowels of mercies, kindness, humbleness of mind, meekness, longsuffering;

13 Forbearing one another, and forgiving one another, if any man have a quarrel against any: even as Christ forgave you, so also do ye.

14 And above all these things put on charity, which is the bond of perfectness.

6 For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.

7 Of the increase of his government and peace there shall be no end, upon the throne of David, and upon his kingdom, to order it, and to establish it with judgment and with justice from henceforth even for ever. The zeal of the Lord of hosts will perform this.

Luke 2:11-14 (KJV)

11 For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord.

12 And this shall be a sign unto you; Ye shall find the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger.

13 And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God, and saying,

14 Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men.

Jesus loves us all.  He wants everyone to know His love.  Jesus showed this too the Samaritan women.  Despite who she was, despite where she came from, despite the things she did, Jesus was there to show her mercy and grace.  He wanted to show her forgiveness and new life through Him.  The essence of who God is: Forgiveness and love through his ultimate grace and mercy. Salvation: Through Him we will never thirst but have everlasting life

5 In view of all this, make every effort to respond to God’s promises. Supplement your faith with a generous provision of moral excellence, and moral excellence with knowledge, 6 and knowledge with self-control, and self-control with patient endurance, and patient endurance with godliness, 7 and godliness with brotherly affection, and brotherly affection with love for everyone.

8 The more you grow like this, the more productive and useful you will be in your knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. 9 But those who fail to develop in this way are shortsighted or blind, forgetting that they have been cleansed from their old sins.

10 So, dear brothers and sisters, work hard to prove that you really are among those God has called and chosen. Do these things, and you will never fall away.11 Then God will give you a grand entrance into the eternal Kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

2 He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters.

3 He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake.

4 Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.

5 Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.

6 Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the Lord for ever.

let all who are helpless take heart. 3 Come, let us tell of the Lord’s greatness;

let us exalt his name together.

4 I prayed to the Lord, and he answered me.

He freed me from all my fears. 5 Those who look to him for help will be radiant with joy;

no shadow of shame will darken their faces. 6 In my desperation I prayed, and the Lord listened;

he saved me from all my troubles. 7 For the angel of the Lord is a guard;

he surrounds and defends all who fear him.

8 Taste and see that the Lord is good.

Oh, the joys of those who take refuge in him! 9 Fear the Lord, you his godly people,

for those who fear him will have all they need. 10 Even strong young lions sometimes go hungry,

but those who trust in the Lord will lack no good thing.

2 Corinthians 4:13-18 (NLT)

13 But we continue to preach because we have the same kind of faith the psalmist had when he said, “I believed in God, so I spoke.” 14 We know that God, who raised the Lord Jesus, will also raise us with Jesus and present us to himself together with you. 15 All of this is for your benefit. And as God’s grace reaches more and more people, there will be great thanksgiving, and God will receive more and more glory.

16 That is why we never give up. Though our bodies are dying, our spirits are being renewed every day. 17 For our present troubles are small and won’t last very long. Yet they produce for us a glory that vastly outweighs them and will last forever! 18 So we don’t look at the troubles we can see now; rather, we fix our gaze on things that cannot be seen. For the things we see now will soon be gone, but the things we cannot see will last forever.

Today's show will focus on praying for our children. We want to pray for their protection, their well being in and out of school, and their health.  Our children are our future and we want to cover them in prayer in all things that they do, wherever they go and whomever they encounter.  Let God be their shield.  Amen!

Hebrews 4:16 tells us to come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace in the time of need.  God has placed a deep passion in my heart to pray for others. We all go through difficult times, good times and times that seem its harder to stand than any other day.  I truly believe that God answers prayer.  He is our healer, our deliverer, our way maker, our friend in the time of need, our Father when we need strength. God is our all.  I pray through this station that you are blessed, no matter where you are, who you are, or where you are from. May God bless you and keep you in His hands.
