Pastor, Church Planter, Ministry Consultant, and Professional Life Coach Thien Doan join Jordan and Isaiah on the thirtieth episode of the Dream On Podcast. We discuss subjects just as mentorship, evangelism, church planting and productivity.

Born in Vietnam, Thien immigrated to the US at one year old right after the Vietnam War. Thien and his family were among the very first families to get to leave the country. His family was the first v immigrants to land in the state of Washington.

Growing up in LA, Thien found himself surrounded by his brothers that were going down the wrong path. Knowing there had to be a better way, he began to go to church. His father was more upset with Thien going to church than his brothers selling drugs and going to jail. Being raised in a Buddist and Catholic house, he did not receive acceptance from his family in the path he began to take with The Lord.

Thien felt led to pursue a future in ministry after helping counsel his brothers friends as they would have parties at their house. Later on college, he would feel led to be a missionary to an unreached people group. Later would find out the Lord was leading him to a church planting ministry.

He has been a pastor now for twenty years. He serves as Lead Pastor at City Lights Church in Orange County, California.

We are thankful for Thein's time and look forward to what God has in store for his future.

Entrepreneur, Politician, sports enthusiast and all around cool guy Tony Madalone, join Jordan and Isaiah on the twenty sixth episode of the Dream On Podcast. In this episode, Tony shares his story of growing up with nothing, and becoming a self-made entrepreneur.

About Tony MadaloneIn Lorain, where he grew up with his single mother and grandparents, he began caddying at the age of 12. While caddying, he started his own landscaping company, taking care of three properties while also roofing on the weekends.

When he wasn't working, Tony was on the basketball court. He spent countless hours in the gym with aspirations of being an NBA superstar. While he didn't quite make the NBA, he did lead his high school team to the state final four and played four years at Ashland University.

By the time Tony arrived at Ashland, he already had years of work experience behind him and a burning desire to do more.

It wasn't long before he started a business in his dorm room selling vintage T-shirts on eBay.

While running his college business and earning his MBA, Tony was planning a career on Wall Street. But a trip to New York made him realize Cleveland was home.

With his new goal clearly in focus, Tony opened Fresh Brewed Tees in Cleveland, Ohio, in November of 2009. Today as CEO, he has made his mark by laying the foundation for Cleveland’s thriving apparel industry.

He has continued to build the Fresh Brewed Tee's brand, working with professional sports teams and athletes. He opened a seasonal mall location in 2012, launched Cleveland's first retail truck in the spring of 2013 and in November of 2014, opened Fresh Brewed Tees first brick and mortar store in Cleveland Hopkins International Airport. Additionally, Tony owns companies in Seattle and Los Angeles.

All of this has led to much media coverage, as Tony has appeared on ESPN, TMZ, ABC News, FOX Sports and various news affiliates as well as in the Washington Post, Sports Illustrated, BuzzFeed, and Inc Magazine.

Today, Fresh Brewed Tees holds over 40 licenses, including Major League Baseball Players Association and ESPN.

While Fresh Brewed Tees started creating clothes simply revolving around Cleveland sports, it has now become a national brand. Most recently, Tony licensed his “Defend The Land” trademark to the Cleveland Cavaliers for the 2017 NBA Playoffs.

While there continues to be a lot on his plate, Tony is most passionate about giving back to the community and making Cleveland a better place to live. Tony served as co-director of Ohio Homecoming and co-chair of Cleveland Rocks New Year’s Eve on Public Square. Additionally, Tony led a renovation of Hough’s Martin Luther King Jr High School.

Recent Ohio State running back commit Master Teague III joins Ben, Jordan and Isaiah on the twenty third episode of the Dream On Podcast. In this episode, In this episode Mater shares his story as well as the process of becoming a 4 star running back commit and being recruited by some of the biggest college football programs

When Master Teague III committed to Ohio State in June, it came as a slight surprise to some, as Teague joined a class that already featured a pair of talented running backs in Jaelen Gill and Brian Snead.

However, Teague's downhill running ability and leadership on and off the field caught the eye of Ohio State's coaching staff, which led to an offer on June 9. Two days later, Teague was a Buckeye.

Teague's commitment was Ohio State's 13th in the 2018 class, and the Tennessee native told Eleven Warriors' Andrew Lind following his commitment that he chose to become a Buckeye because of the close relationships he had built with Ohio State's coaching staff.

"The Ohio State University coaching staff and I have been able to build a close relationship over the past several months," Teague said. "I have really enjoyed getting to know them all. I would like to thank all the people now and in the past that have helped bring me up to were I am today."

At the time of his commitment, Teague was just a three-star prospect. However, following his commitment to Ohio State and subsequent games during his senior season, the Blackman High School running back earned a fourth star in the 247sports composite and jumped up to the No. 11 running back in the country.

Teague's senior season didn't exactly go as planned however, as the star running back suffered a season-ending ankle injury in late September. He underwent surgery on Sept. 27 to repair a peroneal tendon subluxation, a condition in which the tendon snapped out of place in his left ankle.

Despite the injury ending his season, Teague remained consistent in his comeback routine, and had the protective boot was off by November. Teague was also back running by late November and his father told Lind that the younger Teague was ahead of schedule in his rehab as of Nov. 22.

In just more than four games this season, Teague rushed for 711 yards and 10 touchdowns. He is expected to enroll early at Ohio State and arrive on campus in January for classes and be close to 100 percent.

MMA Fighter Justin Wren joins Ben, Jordan and Isaiah on the twentieth episode of the Dream On Podcast. You can listen below or the Justin Wren Podcast is also available through the Dream On Podcast in the iTunes store.

Justin Wren has spent much of his life fighting – from a stellar early wrestling career as National Champion to becoming a star UFC fighter. In his book, “Fight for the Forgotten,” Wren shares how God shifted his focus from fighting against opponents in the cage to fighting for the “most bullied people in the world,” the Mbuti Pygmies in the Democratic Republic of the Congo.

Justin is known for his successful mixed martial arts career in the UFC. Early in his career, he appeared on the Spike reality show, “The Ultimate Fighter,” cementing his reputation as a dominating force in the heavyweight division. His current record of 14-2 remains an impressive testament to his skill.

But many are surprised to find this 6-foot-3-inch, 265-pound fighter has an even bigger heart.

After discovering his faith following a six-year struggle with addiction and depression in his early career, Wren stepped away from MMA to find God’s purpose for his life.

He soon felt called to serve the Mbuti Pygmy people deep in the jungles of the Congo. While Wren knew they were an incredibly impoverished people group, he did not know the depths of their pain until he spent time living among them and shared in their suffering. They are enslaved by rivaling people groups, are even cannibalized, and refer to themselves as The Forgotten People. A turning point in Wren’s life was holding a young boy, Andibo, as he died of a water-related parasite after being refused care by local doctors.

“They were turned away from the hospital not once, but twice,” says Justin. “The first time his mother was told by the nurses, ‘You’re too dirty to come in here.’ The second time Andibo’s mother, the Chief, and the village were rejected treatment by the doctor who said, ‘We won’t waste our medicine on a Pygmy animal.’ I couldn’t believe that this little boy had just died of something so easily preventable by clean drinking water. I knew I could never turn my back on my Pygmy family and that I would spend my life fighting for them.”

Over the next four years, Wren made several trips to the Congo, with one lasting a full year for Wren to stay with the Pygmy people. He lived in the same twig-and-leaf huts they did, slept on the jungle floor and immersed himself in their culture. The Pygmies gave him the name Eféosa, which means “The Man Who Loves Us.”

“I knew for the Pygmies to be free they needed to own their own land, have access to clean water, and develop sustainable agriculture – all for the first time,” says Wren. “I founded the Fight for the Forgotten initiative to work to provide those things to them. With these three simple things, we can begin to break the chain of poverty, suffering, and even modern day slavery.”

Since 2011, Justin and Fight for the Forgotten have provided nearly 3,000 acres of land and 25 water wells to the Pygmies. They have fulltime staff of 18 Congolese nationals who specialize in community development who are working to drill new wells and teach the Pygmies farming practices.

In 2015, after a full five year hiatus from professional sports, Wren returned to his winning ways in MMA fighting, but this time he is fighting for someone besides himself.

“I still love MMA, and my work in the Congo didn’t change that,” he says. “But it did change me. I’m not fighting for myself anymore. I’m fighting to bring attention and change to my Pygmy family who don’t have voice.”

Through his book, “Fight for the Forgotten,” Wren is encouraging everyone to stand up for those who are bullied and persecuted and do not have a voice. He regularly speaks to raise awareness for the plight of the Pygmies and the hope that is available through the simple and affordable gift of clean water, and is currently working with a crew to film a documentary about his personal journey and story. Thirty-three percent of the book’s author proceeds go directly to land, water and food initiatives in the Congo.
