John Sembower is one of the owners of Mr. Waterheater, a family business that he and his

Mediterra Bakehouse was founded by Nick Ambeliotis, whose history with food and breads goes way back. When Nick was growing up, his father, Michael Ambeliotis, owned a grocery store in Ohio. Eventually, Nick took it over and immediately started stocking the shelves with obscure, hard-to-find ingredients from around the world. This led Nick to a wide-ranging career scouring Europe for the finest cheeses, olive oils, pasta, and charcuterie. Along the way, he developed an appreciation for well-made artisan breads that became a true passion. Eventually, he left his job, sold his house, and put everything he had into building our commercial artisan bakery.

To this day my t-shirt wardrobe is not much different from when I was a kid. Spider-Man has been my favorite super hero since I was 2 years old when I had the MEGO doll with the fabric costume. Robert entered the Pittsburgh-based family furniture business in 1993 after having spent several years in Washington, DC in the fields of Health Policy and Aging. He sold Levin Furniture in 2017 and reacquired through bankruptcy with his partners Matt and John Schultz. He holds a Masters degree in Gerontology from the University of Southern California. Prior to joining Levin Furniture, he was a member of the Capitol Hill Recycling Project, an environmental group in Washington. He is currently active in his family’s main charity – the Sally and Howard Levin Clubhouse – an interactive day program for adults with mental illness and is on the board of the Pittsburgh Parks Conservancy. Robert is married and lives in Pittsburgh.

Matt Twigg is responsible for research and development of the Oryza Asian Grill concept as well as the overall business strategy and branding. Matt has worked closely with Mr. Xiao (President) over the last 15 years creating and implementing the Fusion Steakhouse concept since its inception. Responsible for the site selection and real estate dealings for all of the Fusion restaurants in addition to assisting closely with oversight of the design, financing, and construction management of the projects, Mr. Twigg also assists in aspects of the ongoing training and development of the management team and is responsible for the overall branding and marketing strategy for the Fusion Steakhouse concept. Matt will play a hands-on roll in the development of the initial Oryza management team and the implementation of key management systems to ensure its proper oversight and success.
Matt Hillebrand along with his four brothers, Tim, Terry, Jason, and Nick, are proud owners of Don’s Appliances, founded by their father, Don, in 1971. At the company’s inception, Don Hillebrand worked with one other employee selling appliances from a showroom in Upper St. Clair servicing, delivering and installing appliances by day and selling in the evening. In 1985 Don’s sons began working for the business and took over in the early 2000s. Today, more than 46 years later, Don’s Appliances has expanded to 10 showrooms, 45,000 sq. ft. of showroom space, 90,000 sq. ft. of warehouse space 170 employees and product categories ranging from kitchen and bathroom fixtures, YETI, grills, vacuums and of course— appliances!
Sales was a natural fit for Matt Hillebrand with his competitive nature and ability to cultivate and maintain relationships. A Westminster alumni, Matt majored in Political Science with minors in Economics and History. His love for people and his ability to educate and provide solutions has proven instrumental in his success in appliance sales throughout the years. Now, Matt and his outside sales team focus on institutional, multi-family and property management sales with a wide array of companies in Pittsburgh like Chatham University, Walnut Capital, Heinz Field, PPG Paints Arena, PNC Park, the University of Pittsburgh and Piatt Sotheby’s condominium project, Lumiere.
Matt’s affinity for the competition isn’t just seen on the appliance sales floor, he brings the same amount of enthusiasm and drive to the field at Schenley park oval each year to benefit the Special Olympics UNcathlon. As a Founding Council Member, Matt holds a spot on the planning committee and encourages Don’s Appliances employees to participate in the track and field events which raised over $100,000 this year for the Special Olympics of PA.
In addition to Matt’s dedication to the Special Olympics, Don’s Appliances as a whole is committed to philanthropy. Many non-profits, clubs, youth sports teams, community event organizations, and religious institutions rely on Don’s Appliances for support. It is ingrained into their mission statement and culture— they all “live, work and volunteer in the community.” They offer support in the form of monetary and in-kind donations, sponsorships, free products, cooking demonstrations and dinners with their Executive Chef and volunteering man-hours. In 2018 their employees volunteered 165 hours and donated close to $13,000 out of their own pockets. Don’s Appliances has close relationships with Children’s Hospital Foundation, Habitat for Humanity, Ronald McDonald House Charities, Cameron Heyward Foundation, the American Cancer Society in addition to the Special Olympics of PA.

Brian joined Merrill Lynch as a Financial Advisor in the Crystal River, Florida Associate Office on November 2000, and in 2003 he was appointed Resident Director. The following year, Brian was named the Resident Director in the Clearwater, Florida Office and remained there until 2005 when he was appointed Resident Director in St. Petersburg, Florida.
In 2013 Brian was named Wealth Management Bank and Credit Executive for the Greater Mid West Market for Bank of America Merrill Lynch, providing banking services to Financial Advisors and their clients. From there, he completed the Merrill Lynch Leadership in Development program and in 2014 he was named Market Executive for the Louisville and Associates Market in Louisville, Kentucky.
Brian relocated to Pittsburgh in July 2016 upon appointment to his current role as Market Executive for the Western Pennsylvania Market. Most recently, Brian was named Market President for Pittsburgh in May 2017.
Brian’s past community interest has included serving on the Board of the Directors of The Path, a Florida Based Homeless Shelter and American Stage Theater Company. His interests also include investing in urban communities building playgrounds and focusing on food insecurity solutions. He is currently on the board of the Andy Warhol Museum and is active in the Allegheny Conference.
