Hi! I’m Melissa Laughlin – wife, mom, entrepreneur, and a girl after God’s own heart! I am the founder and CEO of Blessed Home Project. This story begins when I was 19 years old and started my own cleaning company. Throughout the years it grew and expanded, but I continued to feel a tug on my heart for something more. When friends or family were going through challenging times, I noticed everyone brings food (which is great) but I thought I could clean your toilets and floors and that would be helpful too. As years went on, I would do just that. One day on the job, God made it clear to me that I should start a nonprofit to expand the reach of those in need of this service. My husband and I prayed and processed what that might look like. In 2020, we made it official! We worked through all the legal aspects, formed the board, and started serving in the community in 2021. This organization was created to be a blessing by using the practical gift of cleaning to alleviate a burden and be a light in someone’s life. https://www.blessedhomeproject.org/

The story of The Cheese Queen begins with deeply rooted family traditions. Growing up, my family owned a multi-generational grocery market dated all the way back to 1946. For years, I cherished Sunday trips gallivanting around the city with my Grandmother to visit all of her favorite specialty shops. And that’s where my story began. I learned my love of Charcuterie from that Queen, and boy was she something special! Oh, the spreads of cheese, meats, pickled veggies she would put together brought people from far and near. Following her example, as a young adult, I landed a job in the Specialty Meats and Cheese section of the family business where I grew my expertise even further, tasting, experimenting, and discovering different pairings and all of the latest trends. Enter: The Cheese Queen. Priceless lessons from my Grandmother continued to carry on through my life. She taught me you don’t need fancy, complicated recipes - just good food made with fresh, quality ingredients and a whole lot of love. And that’s exactly what you’re going to get from me. Delicious, hand-picked, fresh, and custom curations especially for you - every order, big or small - is handled with care and made with love from me to you.

In 2014, Graham became focused on the idea that we have an outdated, cost prohibitive and inefficient process of commercial waste and recycling. With a landscape of growing environmental concerns and the growing rate of commercial waste production, the lack of emphasis on recycling and rising costs was alarming. In 2014, the EPA claimed a national recycling rate of 34% - today that number is 32%. What's even more alarming is there has been no reliable data to know exactly how well (or poorly) we're doing or how efficiently we’re doing it.

RoadRunner was born from the belief that there had to be a better way.

Mediterra Bakehouse was founded by Nick Ambeliotis, whose history with food and breads goes way back. When Nick was growing up, his father, Michael Ambeliotis, owned a grocery store in Ohio. Eventually, Nick took it over and immediately started stocking the shelves with obscure, hard-to-find ingredients from around the world. This led Nick to a wide-ranging career scouring Europe for the finest cheeses, olive oils, pasta, and charcuterie. Along the way, he developed an appreciation for well-made artisan breads that became a true passion. Eventually, he left his job, sold his house, and put everything he had into building our commercial artisan bakery.

I launched 80sTees.com in 1999 because I would wear my favorite 80s cartoons on tees and people would ask me where I got them.

To this day my t-shirt wardrobe is not much different from when I was a kid. It's filled with He-Man, Transformers, and GI JOE shirts and lots of superhero shirts which of course include the classics like Superman Shirts and Spiderman shirts. Spider-Man has been my favorite super hero since I was 2 years old when I had the MEGO doll with the fabric costume. And don't tell anyone but I even sometimes sport a Deadpool shirt even though he wasn't even created until the 1990s.

I plan to Stay on Target with our Star Wars shirts and provide the most fun collection of 80s pop culture t-shirts on the web for a long time to come, because I think it's What is Best In Life. We don't plan to stop, even if Frankie Says Relax. After all, there are tons more corny ways I can use my favorite Top Gun quotes on t-shirts. And it's not all about me, our goal is to have something for everyone that loves retro pop culture. Whether your favorite cartoon is Jem and the Holograms or Robotech, or your favorite movie is The Karate Kid or Sixteen Candles, my goal is that you'll find something you love.

years, including as a law clerk to a Federal Judge and as an attorney representing indigent

Liz’s true passion has always been in hospitality and, after seeing a void in the Pittsburgh

which is a drive-thru-only location in Bridgeville, and the other a freestanding location in

As a franchised restaurant, owned locally and operated by a team of people living in the communities we serve, we believe it is our obligation to give back. We are committed to providing support to schools and non-profits in the Pittsburgh and Erie areas through our Community Support Program.

Every company has a marketing budget with endless options of where it can be spent. What if a franchised restaurant, owned locally and operated by a team of people living in the communities they serve, actually decided to just give the marketing dollars back to the community?

Could the school music program thrive again? Could the youth football team afford to buy the safest helmets available? Could the local animal rescue afford to save the lives of more puppies?

We think so. Welcome to Giving Back. Welcome to Moe's™ https://www.welcometogivingback.com/

At Connected Health they believe everyone has the right to be treated like their time is valuable, their health is as important to us as it is to them, and that their doctor’s office truly cares about them.

CEO and co-founder, Betty Rich, RpH, was involved in specialty pharmacy before developing the Connected Health concierge medical model. Specialty pharmacy is a much more involved relationship between the patient and pharmacist. Betty saw the benefits of having a high-touch relationship with her clients and began exploring concierge primary care health models.

She took that idea and turned it into Connected Health. Pittsburgh’s premier concierge primary care practice – connecting patients to dedicated medical physicians, pharmacists, personal trainers, registered nutritionists, and a state-of-the-art fitness center.

Connected Health does not bill insurance which allows them to take on a much smaller patient base. Their concierge physicians have hundreds of patients compared to the thousands.
No one only gets sick from 8am-4pm Monday-Friday. No one only has medical questions during office hours. No one has health concerns at a convenient time.

They believe that having 24/7 relationship-based medical care will save you time, money, and lead to better health. https://www.connectedhealthpgh.com/

Matt Hillebrand along with his four brothers, Tim, Terry, Jason, and Nick, are proud owners of Don’s Appliances, founded by their father, Don, in 1971. At the company’s inception, Don Hillebrand worked with one other employee selling appliances from a showroom in Upper St. Clair servicing, delivering and installing appliances by day and selling in the evening. In 1985 Don’s sons began working for the business and took over in the early 2000s. Today, more than 46 years later, Don’s Appliances has expanded to 10 showrooms, 45,000 sq. ft. of showroom space, 90,000 sq. ft. of warehouse space 170 employees and product categories ranging from kitchen and bathroom fixtures, YETI, grills, vacuums and of course— appliances!

Sales was a natural fit for Matt Hillebrand with his competitive nature and ability to cultivate and maintain relationships. A Westminster alumni, Matt majored in Political Science with minors in Economics and History. His love for people and his ability to educate and provide solutions has proven instrumental in his success in appliance sales throughout the years. Now, Matt and his outside sales team focus on institutional, multi-family and property management sales with a wide array of companies in Pittsburgh like Chatham University, Walnut Capital, Heinz Field, PPG Paints Arena, PNC Park, the University of Pittsburgh and Piatt Sotheby’s condominium project, Lumiere.

Matt’s affinity for the competition isn’t just seen on the appliance sales floor, he brings the same amount of enthusiasm and drive to the field at Schenley park oval each year to benefit the Special Olympics UNcathlon. As a Founding Council Member, Matt holds a spot on the planning committee and encourages Don’s Appliances employees to participate in the track and field events which raised over $100,000 this year for the Special Olympics of PA.

In addition to Matt’s dedication to the Special Olympics, Don’s Appliances as a whole is committed to philanthropy. Many non-profits, clubs, youth sports teams, community event organizations, and religious institutions rely on Don’s Appliances for support. It is ingrained into their mission statement and culture— they all “live, work and volunteer in the community.” They offer support in the form of monetary and in-kind donations, sponsorships, free products, cooking demonstrations and dinners with their Executive Chef and volunteering man-hours. In 2018 their employees volunteered 165 hours and donated close to $13,000 out of their own pockets. Don’s Appliances has close relationships with Children’s Hospital Foundation, Habitat for Humanity, Ronald McDonald House Charities, Cameron Heyward Foundation, the American Cancer Society in addition to the Special Olympics of PA.

It’s because of Matt and his brothers’ dedication to hard work and the community that Don’s Appliances have been recognized as one of the Smart 50, Twice Magazine’s ‘Top 100 Companies to

Watch’, and has won Post Gazette’s Top Workplace 5 years in a row as well as several other awards. Don’s Appliances is “large enough to offer competitive pricing, yet small enough to continue offering the white glove service we were founded on, our focus is always on the customer experience, from the first step into a showroom to purchase and well after our product has been installed.”
