Hey there, and welcome back to the Teammate Apart Podcast. Today’s special guest is Molood Ceccarelli. Molood is the founder of Remote Forever, a consultancy that officially challenges the premise of collocation as a prerequisite to agility. Her company teaches geographically distributed teams how to work and communicate more effectively using Agile thinking and design methodology. In addition to her work as a remote work pioneer, for more than a decade, she has been working as a developer, strategist, agile coach, international keynote speaker, and host of the wildly popular Remote Forever Summit which has seen more than 10,000 people in attendance. She has been featured in Forbes, Entrepreneur, and The Huffington Post.
Joining us today for a conversation on how remote teams can work better together by employing agile methodologies, the challenges of mastering great communication on distributed teams, the state of remote work as she sees it, and what the future has in store for remote teams as the pandemic subsides, please join me in welcoming to the show Molood Ceccarelli.
Molood Ceccarelli
Remote work strategist & remote agile coach

https://remoteforever.com/
About Molood
I am particularly interested in coaching and teaching distributed organizations and teams. I have experience in coaching managers, leaders, and agile development teams in both collocated and remote teams to contribute to creating great products. I am interested in teaching and coaching the concepts and practices of lean and agile, team dynamics, leadership, how to create high-performing teams, introducing alternative metrics, motivating employees, self-leadership, and many more self-development and team-improvement subjects.
I usually take a holistic view of the organizations I help, therefore I often end up improving the organizations at a large scale rather than sub-optimizing teams within the organizations. I actively participate in agile events; I’ve spoken at several agile events about different topics around agile.
My aspiration is to help your managers and the front-line employees become more productive, get a better understanding of the value of their work in agile environments, organize themselves around solving problems and have more fun doing all that. If you are interested in working with my company, feel free to send me a message.

Welcome back to the Teammate Apart podcast. Today’s special guest is thought leader, storyteller, and CEO at Radious, Amina Moreau.

More than a successful business leader, Amina is also a master communicator who believes in the tool of storytelling as an integral part of remote team leadership. After all, people make decisions from the heart — not from bulleted lists or powerpoint slides.
Here to discuss the role of storytelling in remote leadership specifically, but in communication at large, the importance of strong communication when leading a team, also how we might commit to a safe and reasonable return to the office — or not, please join me in welcoming to the show the amazing, Amina Moreau.

From LinkedIn:
Maybe it’s the athlete in me, maybe I’m just stubborn. But dang it if I don’t love a good challenge. I’ve built a good number of companies over the years with some close friends. Two of them were acquired and one of them even won a handful of Emmys a while back.
I don't consider myself an eternal optimist, yet I tend to see opportunities where others see roadblocks. I believe that storytelling is one of the most effective vehicles for social change, and I keep that in mind whenever I build something new.
I’m building something new now. And I'm looking for exceptional folks to join for the ride. Maybe that's you.

Welcome back to the teammate apart podcast. Today’s special guest is executive and performance coach, and HR & Operations Manager at Aragon One, Monica Zeng. Monica is a people-first HR professional in the Crypto space with an international background specialized in strategy, management, and executive coaching for startups and founders. She joins us today to discuss her innovative, fully remote, hiring process, coaching team members on soft and leadership skills, onboarding at a distance, and the importance of self-assessment and evaluation. Calling in from Madrid, Spain, please join me in welcoming to the show, the incredible, Monica Zeng.
Our Guest
Monica Zeng
HR Business Partner, Executive & Performance Coach.
HR & Operations Manager at Aragon One.
https://www.linkedin.com/in/roumonicazeng/
https://aragon.one/
About Monica Zeng
All about humans: how they organize, interact, and grow. My name is Monica and I am the person in charge of human resources at Aragon One.
My main focus is to grow the Aragon One family by hiring people that are aligned with our vision and culture and increasing the team's leverage through management and coaching. Fun fact, I never watched Billions but some people mentioned that I remind them of Wendy Rhodes.
I have Asian roots, grew up in Spain and have worked internationally in places such as Silicon Valley. Therefore I have inherited the Asian work culture and a love for technology and the entrepreneurial spirit, while still remaining a big fan of spending a nice afternoon with friends and good food on a terrace in Madrid.
My journey has been a squiggly line. I started out with social entrepreneurship when I was sixteen and then moved to Madrid to study a dual degree in Business Administration and International Relations. It was then that I realized that I enjoyed learning by working more than I did by sitting in a classroom, so I made the decision to drop out after my first year and move to Silicon Valley. I went from being a consistent straight-A student to rejecting the traditional academic system and building my own path. (Against all odds, I had full family support.) There I began my career working in International Expansion Marketing but because of Visa reasons, I had to return to Spain.
After returning, I led a startup incubator. Through that experience, I discovered my passion for psychology and management. Around that time I learned more about the blockchain space through Luis and Jorge and became attracted to the whole vision. I then founded an HR agency for crypto projects, moved to Switzerland and finally joined Aragon One full time.
Moving every six months to a different city/country has been an interesting experience, but I couldn’t be happier to be back to living the Spanish lifestyle!

Hey everyone and welcome back to the Teammate Apart podcast. This week we have special guest Angelique Slob. Angelique is a future of work catalyst, people and culture strategist, speaker, and founder at Hello Monday — a consultancy that helps HR and Business leaders lead strategic discussions and drive workplace transformation.
As a remote work advocate, Angelique believes that remote working should not be the goal in and of itself, despite some major strategic advantages, but is rather a consequence from a results-driven, autonomous workplace design that is actually essential for knowledge workers and innovation.
Here to discuss the shift from the Industrial Age to the Information Age, how management styles must adapt when they rely on the workers' expertise, introducing flexible working conditions, developing a culture of trust, and so much more, please welcome to the show, our guest, Angelique Slob.
Angelique Slob
Future of Work Catalyst. People and Culture Strategist and Speaker. Founder at Hello Monday
http://hellomondayclub.com
About Angelique Slob
I am a People and Culture strategist and founder of Hello Monday Club supporting tech companies, with or without offices, with building virtual workplaces where people say Hello to Monday.
After working for over 15 years in several high-profile companies as an HR executive, seeing how corporate structures keep people small, I have been passionate about bringing more freedom to the workplace.
In 2007, I got involved in The New Way of Working, a Dutch movement aimed at building flexible and result-oriented workplaces. But adaption was easier said than done and I became fascinated with the question of why creating organizations where people have autonomy is difficult.
Looking for answers, I did a Master in Organizational Sociology, focusing on innovative knowledge workers. After that, I kept on studying startup cultures, remote teams, self-managing teams, teal organizations, and the future of work.
Quickly becoming a specialist in these topics, I left the corporate world to further fulfill my mission to bring more freedom to the workplace, by creating more flexible and empowered teams, and to fulfill my personal dream: to be free to travel the world.
In 2018, I founded Hello Monday Club, a remote-first company where I help future-minded leaders to create next-generation organizations.
Combining 15 years of HR and Change management, a solid academic background in Organizational Sociology, and experience with (remote) scale-ups, I am one of the experts in my field.
As a strategist and inspirational leader, I excel at strategy definition and execution, challenging the status quo, and guiding leaders and teams out of Plato’s Cave.
As a speaker, I share my mission on stages around the world on topics such as: Remote Strategies, Empowered teams, and Next-generation organizations.
As a community leader, I educate and mentor the next generation of people that want to bring more freedom to the workplace.
As a founder, I have the opportunity to create my own awesome company that fits with my dreams and vision.
Currently, I am living in between Netherlands, Brazil, and Portugal, while working with an international team of driven experts, and together we help companies from around the globe changing the way we work – forever.
You are invited to join the discussion on the future of work by sharing your views in my posts.

Welcome back to the Teammate Apart Podcast, today's special guest is Alistair Davis. Alistair is a voice actor and professional communicator who believes strongly in using the power of our voice to become better leaders, presenters, and negotiators. Alistair’s passion lies in teaching professionals how to leverage their voice to make better connections with clients, prospects, and colleagues.
In addition to his work as a voice actor, Alistair spends his time coaching entrepreneurs about the many aspects of both verbal and non-verbal communication and helps them hone their voice to achieve more. He does this through his voice and sales training consultancy, Jabba, and also through his very popular podcast How to Rock Virtual Engagements.
Here to talk about selling ourselves and demonstrating confidence, developing our voice, the role of listening in communication, and the big 5 factors that make up verbal communication done well, please join me in welcoming our guest, Alistair Davis.
Alistair Davis
I teach professionals powerful voice and webcam performance techniques when presenting, persuading, and negotiating - one-on-one or one-to-many.
https://www.linkedin.com/in/alistairbdavis/
https://jabba.io/
About Alistair Davis
I love teaching people about the power of the voice and performing on a webcam or stage. As virtual business leaders, we can better connect with our clients, prospects, or colleagues - no matter if you are presenting, persuading, or negotiating.
Your voice and body are connection tools - use these better than the next person and you will be more successful.
I break down the speaking voice and performance into measurable components and teach people how to enhance each aspect.
What makes me different is I use simple voice acting and acting techniques that anyone can learn.
Currently, I am also a professional Voice Actor (www.alistairdavis.co.za) and Actor over the past 10 years I have voiced over 2000 commercial, Radio, and Television Voice Overs for local and international brands.
My sales journey started at age 7, knocking on doors selling a very difficult product. From a young age I heard the sound of slamming doors and the art of persistence, I learned how to really open a conversation with warmth and get people liking me from the start.
At age 20, I started working for Oracle in inside sales in Dublin, Ireland; I was in the Oracle Economy for 10 years. These 10 years honed my sales skills even more whilst working for a Fortune 500 company and smaller Oracle Partners.
Not content with the corporate life, I decided that I needed to become an Entrepreneur and so I moved back to South Africa to try my hand at running my own business. I taught my salespeople to hunt for business and we sourced 90% of our revenue from cold calling.
My mission is to make people interesting and interested in what you have to say. I unpack the voice in measurable components and combine the theory with technology so that the learning sticks and people walk away with a life skill.
Speaking powerfully from the heart is a skill that can be learned.

Clients often need help, not merely discussing their feelings and problems but, taking action toward living differently, with real-time support and guidance. About Jesse Giunta Rafeh
My mission is to provide people with an opportunity to be the best version of themselves. We are all unique, and when we allow that uniqueness to shine, we are lovable, productive, successful, and happy people. Why do we sometimes fail to reach our potential? Not because we do not want to be happy and successful. Rather, it is because of obstacles that block our ability to live the life we want. It is because we have developed poor coping strategies, anxiety, depression, or self-doubt. As a teenager, I struggled with all four of these obstacles, but through the process of my own therapy, I discovered that I could create the life I wanted. Because of my success, I decided to help others clear their own paths to happiness. If you feel like you are not on the path to creating fulfillment and joy in your life, call me. I can help.

About Michelle
Michelle E. Dickinson is a passionate mental health advocate, a TED speaker, and a published author of a memoir entitled Breaking Into My Life. After years of playing the role of child caregiver, Michelle embarked on her own healing journey of self-discovery. Her memoir offers a rare glimpse into a young girl’s experience living with—and loving—her bipolar mother.
Michelle spent years working to eradicate the mental health stigma within her own workplace by elevating compassion, causing more open conversations, and leading real change in how mental illness is understood in the workplace and within the first responder community.
She also knows first-hand what it feels like to struggle with a mental illness after experiencing her own depression due to challenging life events of her own. Michelle recently concluded her 19-year pharmaceutical career and she has emerged with a strong desire to positively impact the mental health landscape.
Michelle is also committed to improving the lives of youth. As a past volunteer with Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA), The Make A Wish Foundation, and serving as big sister with the Big Brothers / Big Sisters, elevating the wellbeing of our youth matters to her. Michelle’s volunteer work led her to create her own children’s program called Perfect, Just the Way You Are. This program was designed to help youth better understand how to Nourish the Body and the Mind and has reached over 2,000 children and their families in NJ, NY and PA over the past 5 years. The program recently evolved into a school-wide and student led mental health wellness fair. Her intentions are to touch as many children’s lives with this program so that children proactively develop a healthy relationship to brain health.

About Theresa Sigillito Hollema
As an experienced facilitator and consultant, I support individuals and teams to develop the competences to collaborate and succeed with colleagues and stakeholders across the globe. I focus on leadership and organizational capacity in three areas: building cultural competence, developing high performance teams, and leading virtually across time and space. Improvements in these three areas can result in creative solutions, increased collaboration, improved leadership capabilities and more effective organizations.
My work can take different forms depending on your needs: team coaching programs, corporate academy programs, custom designed workshops, online team support, speaking engagements. The impact of the work leads to improvements in innovation, leadership, performance, and team collaboration.
Generally, I am interested in the 'why' of advice and best practice. This means I dig into the research, models, concepts to understand, which means we have more agency to decide what is best in each situation. Currently I am writing a book about leading across cultures virtually. I am referencing academic research for insights to be applied to the business context. Working virtually is more than just turning on the computer and hoping for the best. It is a new mindset, a new way of working and leading and we have researched why that is.
We have created the CALDO model for Successful Global Virtual Teams. For more information: http://www.interact-global.net/wp-content/uploads/2019/03/Interact-CALDO-flyer-digital.pdf
In each of the focus areas, I am certified on tools which can support self-awareness and trigger a dialogue amongst colleagues:
Cultural Competence: Intercultural Awareness Profile
Team Coaching: Certified Team Coach, Belbin Team Profiles
Working Virtually: Virtual Performance Assessment, Connection Scan
Corporate Change: Appreciative Inquiry, Open Space Technology
