My Cup Runneth Over: Recent Episodes

I know what many of you are feeling: loneliness, grief, exhaustion, frustration, anxiety, anger and fear. Social media and news cycles connect us and inform us, and at the same time feed into all those negative feelings. And a lot of people are feeling an overwhelming sense of hopelessness. But, if you are depending upon God, things ARE NOT hopeless. Hope releases joy, and the joy of the Lord becomes our source of strength . Nehemiah 8:10
What does God is our Fortress mean? A fortress is a place where we can run into when we are in trouble and it is supplied with food, water and anything we need. It is stronger than any attack we face in this world.
Psalm 32: 7 says " you are my hiding place, You shall preserve me from trouble; You shall surround me with songs of deliverance. God is our hiding place, whenever we are afraid we can run into him and we can trust in him. he is our strength when we are weak.
Psalm 23: 4 second part says " Your Rod and Staff they comfort me. the rod and staff mentioned here are like discipline and grace. Gods rod corrects us when we are wrong at the same time, it protects us from all evil, His staff gives authority and Power over everything and we can always lean on when we need him
Psalm 23:6 says Surely Goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life. God’s goodness and mercy will be with you in the midst of your heart ache and trials.
Psalm 23::5. You anoint my cup with oil and my cup overflows. When we have the presence of God in our life, our protection will never run dry.
