Two regular guys talking regular sports with regular stats. We don't go deep into off the wall stats that they have on the major networks. It's like the conversations that you would have with friends at your house, a party, a bar, etc. We might be slightly biased for some teams, but so is everyone else.
NCAA week 2 was great. Texas upset Alabama. Colorado beat Nebraska. Saturday did not disappoint. NFL week 1 did not disappoint. Browns and Falcons won. We go into all games from this past weekend. Plus go deep into college recruiting.
This is the Patriots Randy Moss Episode! NCAA football is back and NFL is a week away. We got a glimpse of USC over the weekend and ready for all of the big games this weekend. How do we feel about the top 10 and how it will play out this season? With preseason over, we talk who we liked, didn't like, and sleepers. Plus talk projections and Trey Lance to the Cowboys.
The NFL is back even if it is just the preseason. Its good to see the sport we love back on tv. Falcons and Browns looked good in their respective games, even though the Browns lost. We talk about what we saw from this past weekend, good and bad. Plus predict records this season. On a side note, James Harden is big mad. We think it is nothing and could be for the better for both parties.
For the first time, we talked about all 3 major leagues. Starts with the trade deadline ending and how we think the Braves did. Move onto our cliffhanger from last week: Jaylen Brown and the Celtics. How will that big contract work going forward? We round out with the NFL. What is going on with all of these injuries in the NFL? They aren't even playing with pads on.
Lionel Messi is apart of the MLS. Tickets are through the roof, and the league will become much more entertaining. The Braves are rolling right along. With the trade deadline coming up, what have they done and what will they do? Ohtani is the biggest story right now. Where will end up? Who will trade for him? Will he leave in free agency? We talk about all of this.
Deandre Hopkins finally made a decision and it is the Tennessee Titans. Its an interesting choice, but makes sense. We give our takes and talk more NFL. What is going on with these running backs, and why have they not been paid?
As promised, we talk about our beloved Braves. We have the best record in the MLB and look like it. The team looks unstoppable. We talk about what we've seen so far this season.
NBA free agency has gotten interesting. Many moves have been made that will make the league look very interesting come the start of the season. Which teams made the best and worst moves?
The NBA season hasn't been over a month and new storylines have already begun. Chris Paul to the Warriors, Bradley Beal to the Suns, and Marcus Smart to the Grizzlies. These will make for some interesting teams next season. We talk on our feelings behind this.
The Nuggets have defeated the Heat in 5. It is slightly bittersweet. The Heat fought, but the Nuggets were better and they deserve this championship. What will the Heat do now? Is Jokic the best player in the league? Will Dame go to the Heat? We discuss all of this and then some.
Episode 73 aka the Joe Thomas Episode. Hall of Fame left tackle. One of the greatest to ever do it. Because of him, the guys started with the NFL. Deandre Hopkins is a free agent and where he will go is a mystery. The guys talk about their favorite landing spots for him. The guys switch to NBA and talk about how the Heat beat Denver in Game 2 and Kyrie's pitch to Lebron.
Miami beat the Celtics in 7 and now on the way to the NBA Finals. The Nuggets are going to be tough to beat for Miami, but all we can do is hope for a good series. The guys talk about what happened in the ECF and how Miami stacks up against Denver.
What a week of upsets in college football. Ohio State goes down, LSU goes down, and Clemson goes down. These upsets came at the right time to set the championship games and give us a better look at the playoff picture.
The Browns survived 11 games and the day we have all been waiting for comes up this week. The boys are ready for this one.
USA beats Iran and we move out of the group stage in the World Cup! This is a huge deal for all of us. Netherlands is up next.
The Big 5-0! We never thought we would have made it this far, but here we are. Just a heads up, this is the longest episode we have ever done. We start today with our boys in Qatar. We are pumped that the US is in the World Cup. We did not win, but we had a draw against Wales. We venture our way into college football and how the playoffs stack up. Then, as usual, we finish off with the NFL.
The Bulldogs did it again with a win over the Bulldogs. They are the best team in the NCAA, and we do not believe there is anyone who can beat them.
Browns and Falcons lose. One lost in high heat and the other lost in a monsoon. The bigger story is which was the better catch: OBJ or Justin Jefferson?
A whole lotta college football talk this week. Georgia beat Tennessee and went right back to number 1. The guys talk how the playoffs might stand by the end of the season and why we should go to 12 games rather than 4.
Two theories are discussed in length today: The Carolina Panthers Theory and The Gib Terwilliger Hair Theory. They are very interesting and may blow your mind.
Big wins for both sides and both were divisional wins. Browns beat the Bengals and the Falcons beat the Panthers. All is well and happy with the Average Guys today. Myles Garrett is a freak of nature and Nick Chubb has very large legs. Falcons sit at #1 in the NFC South but almost let Carolina go from fourth to first.
We are out talking college football along with the NFL. How do we see the top 10? What do we think the final four will be? Plus we have a live reaction to the new AP poll. It is not what we expected, but Jay loves it.
Over the course of two weeks, we have seen only one positive as a pair: the Falcons beating the Niners. Outside of that it has been the NLDS loss for the Braves, back to back losses for the Browns, and a loss to the Bengals for the Falcons. Gib is very upset and so is Jay but he gets a laugh from Gib's anger.
What should the Braves do in the offseason? Where did the Browns go wrong? How did the Falcons get beat that bad? The guys talk about it all.
What a weekend and start to the week. All three of our favorite teams got beat in either a close manner or a bad call aka the Falcons. There is frustration in the NFL losses, but positives to look at with the Braves loss.
NFL was another weekend with ups and downs. Blowouts and upsets. We talk about how it all played out.

Falcons won, Browns lost. Gib is not happy and Jay just rubs it in his face. 4 years of bragging rights. That game is the bulk of the conversation. They still go through the rest of the NFL.
In the Braves world, we swept the Mets!! It was a big win for them and took them a step closer to winning the NL East. Update: Braves won the NL East! They will talk about that next week and what they think of the upcoming postseason.
NFL is like the gift that keeps on giving. Falcons and Browns are winners this week so both guys are happy. Bills and Dolphins was crazy. Does that make Miami the best team in the league? How does the rest of the league stack up in rankings after this week?
We fully devoted this one to NFL like we said. Well, kinda. Gib mentioned the Braves and a hot take about Alabama.

Gib said Episode 37, but it is actually Episode 38! Braves beat the Mets in back to back games and on an 8 game winning streak. We love every minute of it.
NFL preseason is in and Jay is loving every minute of it. He has been glued where as Gib is slacking. How does Jay feel about these teams?
Training camp is in full swing and we are getting closer to preseason. Baker is looking good in practice, Kareem wants out, and the OBJ saga continues. Where will he go?
KD gave the Nets an ultimatum: me or the coach and GM. How is this going to end?
Finally, WHY CAN'T WE BEAT THE METS?!?!? Our Braves were rolling right along and now its heartache.

Juan Soto to the Padres??? That makes for quite the shake up. Not enough to phase our Braves though.

Braves are on a hot streak. 12 game winning streak (Gib said 11) and working on 13 as we were recording. Let's see how far this can go!
NBA Finals are among us! Possibly 7 games to determine who wins it all. Right now it is at least 5. Jay and Gib both believe it will be the Warriors, but how do they feel about that Game 1 loss to the Celtics? Do any predictions change here? Maybe a little trash talking rights are among us.

With this Coronavirus shutting down most sports, we still have one major topic: NFL Free Agency. Why did DeAndre Hopkins get traded to the Cardinals? How does everything change with a big quarterback shuffle? The NFC South will be different with Teddy Bridgewater and Tom Brady in it now. Philip Rivers and Nick Foles round out the quarterbacks who have new teams. The other large free agency question that hasn't been resolved: Where will Cam Newton go?
This week we focused the most on NBA. Lebron had a big weekend and showed the world he is still the best player in the league. We talk how he compares to Giannis in the MVP race, how the Lakers stack up in the league, and how they now compare to the rest of the league for the playoffs.

Big trades just happened across the league and we talk about how the affect the league. After a year and a half, we discuss how the Luka Doncic-Trae Young trade worked out for both teams. The discussion of the top two picks in Zion Williamson and Ja Morant have started since both are now starting on their respective teams. We wrap up the show with our early playoff predictions.
