In this podcast i will be sharing my top 10 portrait drawing tips that i have gathered over experience and learning from sources online Here are the 10 tips:
1. Get the proportions/outline right- Use my grid method linked above 2. Leave the whites white and darken the darks 3. Add more contrast in your drawings- Use shading pencils for a larger range of shades 4. Choose high contrast pictures- Easier to draw 5. Use a bigger paper- Enables you to add more details 6. Spend more time on it 7. Take out most of the distractions- music is acceptable 8. Draw the eyes well- the will bring more life to the drawing 9. Try and draw every strand hair- just try it,its hard but try 10. Enjoy the process- the ultimate secret
