In the lead up to the 2022 AGM The Sash has opened the door to board nominee's to come on the show and pitch to the members why they should be elected. Our next guest is Chris Ciantar

Chris's nominee statement "I am a lifelong and passionate Essendon member, like so many of our great supporters I want to help bring this proud club to a successful period of success that we all know it can become. Red and black run through my family having been born just a stone’s throw away from our sacred home, Windy Hill. It is my burning desire to help bring success to our great club and with the help of our staff, our coaches, our players and most importantly our members all on the same journey together, success will come. I want to be that person that links all our great members and supporters to the board and our great club. I want to serve our membership base and give them a representation at board level. I have extensive experience in global logistics. I recently completed an MBA, and I’m also a Board Director for two organisations, one a not-for-profit children’s charity supporting disadvantaged children in Australia and Africa. I believe my experience to date, along with recent opportunities has me well placed to help bring this all-mighty club back to the heights we all so desperately crave and know we will all achieve together."

In the lead up to the 2022 AGM The Sash has opened the door to board nominee's to come on the show and pitch to the members why they should be elected. Our next guest is Benjamin Yeo.

Ben's nominee statement "I have been a loyal and passionate supporter of the Essendon Football Club my entire life, and had the privilege of attending the 1993 and 2000 Premierships with my father and grandfather. During my career to date, and earlier as a student at The University of Melbourne, I have built a diverse and strong set of leadership skills across business management, finance, governance, and elite sporting experience – bridging both the corporate and sporting sectors. With over 15 years in the equity capital markets and corporate finance industry, this has included roles as an ASX Listed Company Director, Head of Equity Capital Markets for an ASX Market Participant, and currently the youngest Partner at professional services firm, Moore Australia. I have also held senior leadership positions in sporting organisations including President of the Melbourne University Sports Association, Vice President of Water Polo Victoria, and President of the Victorian NWPL Club. In these roles, I have developed, implemented, and successfully led multiple governance frameworks as an experienced Director ensuring accountability, transparency and clear strategic direction.  I believe that my passion for our Club and the above-mentioned experience, skills and knowledge across sporting and corporate organisations strongly supports my application to join the Essendon Football Club Board, and to work collaboratively with fellow Board members to ensure our Club performs to the standards our members, partners and the broader community expects both on and off the field."
