Gospel Instalment: 08-09-2026 Sermon Title: 1. Uriah the Hittite. 2. The faithfulness of the Law Text: 2Samuel 11 vs 6-13 1. We continue with the gospel testimony from the story of David, Bathsheba and Uriah. 2. And it is impossible to make sense of the story unless read through gospel lenses. 3. Thus, it is important to identify and define the individuals involved and how they relate or are mapped to the gospel testimony. 4. The gospel has Christ, the Law and the church as pillars and this testimony is well represented in this story. 5. With a gospel hermeneutic (way of interpretation) you will see that the theology in Romans is the same as that which is presented in this story. 6. But you will not see it if you are bend on moralizing the story and think that it is about adultery and murder. 7. It is a Berean gospel, and it is Free!
Today's Gospel instalment: 08-02-2026 Message Title: Bathsheba 2 Samuel 11:1-5 (NKJV) 1 It happened in the spring of the year, at the time when kings go out to battle, that David sent Joab and his servants with him, and all Israel; and they destroyed the people of Ammon and besieged Rabbah. But David remained at Jerusalem. 2 Then it happened one evening that David arose from his bed and walked on the roof of the king's house. And from the roof he saw a woman bathing, and the woman was very beautiful to behold. 3 So David sent and inquired about the woman. And someone said, "Is this not Bathsheba, the daughter of Eliam, the wife of Uriah the Hittite?" 4 Then David sent messengers, and took her; and she came to him, and he lay with her, for she was cleansed from her impurity; and she returned to her house. 5 And the woman conceived; so she sent and told David, and said, "I am with child."
Message: The wounds from my friends Text: Zechariah 13 Date: 07-26-2026 1..Zechariah is a Messianic book, therefore a gospel book. 2..And the gospel was not always clearly presented in the OT.. It was hidden in types and shadows. 3..It therefore matters what hermeneutics you use, otherwise you will moss the message. 4..So, we have the story of Christ initially presented in a very odd way as if it was about false prophets and their judgment. 5..But if you keep reading you will see the onion layers peeling off and Christ being revealed. 6..So, I labored to bring the gospel from this prophecy and it is glorious to those who have such ability to hear it.. 7..AND IT IS FREE!
Today's Gospel testimony 06-05-2026 Title: 1Cor # 8 Who makes you to differ? Text: 1Co 4:1 One should think about us this way – as servants of Christ and stewards of the mysteries of God. 1Co 4:2 Now what is sought in stewards is that one be found faithful. 1Co 4:3 So for me, it is a minor matter that I am judged by you or by any human court. In fact, I do not even judge myself. 1Co 4:4 For I am not aware of anything against myself, but I am not acquitted because of this. The one who judges me is the Lord. 1Co 4:5 So then, do not judge anything before the time. Wait until the Lord comes. He will bring to light the hidden things of darkness and reveal the motives of hearts. Then each will receive recognition from God. 1Co 4:6 I have applied these things to myself and Apollos because of you, brothers and sisters, so that through us you may learn "not to go beyond what is written," so that none of you will be puffed up in favor of the one against the other. 1Co 4:7 For who concedes you any superiority? What do you have that you did not receive? And if you received it, why do you boast as though you did not?
Sermon Title: 05/31/2026 Title: 1. The Blessed Man, 2. What is God's blessing? 1. Psalm 1:1-6 (NKJV) 1 Blessed is the man Who walks not in the counsel of the ungodly, Nor stands in the path of sinners, Nor sits in the seat of the scornful; 2 But his delight is in the law of the LORD, And in His law he meditates day and night. 3 He shall be like a tree Planted by the rivers of water, That brings forth its fruit in its season, Whose leaf also shall not wither; And whatever he does shall prosper. 4 The ungodly are not so, But are like the chaff which the wind drives away. 5 Therefore the ungodly shall not stand in the judgment, Nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous. 6 For the LORD knows the way of the righteous, But the way of the ungodly shall perish.
Today's Gospel testimony 05-24-2036 Text: 1 Corinthians 3 Sermon Title: God gives the increase 1 Corinthians 3:5-7 (NKJV) 5 Who then is Paul, and who is Apollos, but ministers through whom you believed, as the Lord gave to each one? 6 I planted, Apollos watered, but God gave the increase. 7 So then neither he who plants is anything, nor he who waters, but God who gives the increase.
Today's Gospel testimony 05-03-3036 Text: Joshua 9 Sermon Title: The Gospel testimony of the Gibeonites 1. Lots of gospel nuggets here. 2. The testimony of the human spiritual condition and how they escape judgment.
Today's Gospel Installment 04-03-2026 2 Samuel 21:7 (NKJV) 7 But the king spared Mephibosheth the son of Jonathan, the son of Saul, because of the LORD'S oath that was between them, between David and Jonathan the son of Saul. Today's Gospel instalment: 04-05-2026 Message Title: The Judgment and vindication of Mephibosheth Text: 2Samuel 21 vs 1-14 1. We continue with God's gospel as told in the life of Mephibosheth. 2. And if we understand this story and believe the gospel testimony in it, we are of the faith of Jesus Christ. 3. In Mephibosheth we learn of total human inability to do anything to save themselves as was preached in his lameness. 4. We learn that Mephibosheth got crippled in both feet because of the work of another-was dropped by his nurse and that to say sin, death and condemnation came by the work of the one-man Adam. 5. And yet Mephibosheth had hope because of the unconditional covenant that was made between David and Jonathan, his father. 6. This covenant was made before he was born as terms of our salvation were made and agreed upon between God the Father and the Son, that we would be counted among sons of the king by adoption, by grace alone as Mephibosheth became the son of David and was invited to sit with the king by grace alone-on account of the Covenant with Jonathan. 7. Now, the LORD raised another issue to cement this testimony in the story of the Gibeonites. He caused a drought (judgment) for 3 years because Saul had killed the Gibeonites who had earlier made a peace Covenant with Joshua (Israel). 8. And David enquired of the Lord about what was wrong and he was told that it was because of the Gibeonites whom Saul had slaughtered.
Today's Gospel Installment 03-29-2026 2 Samuel 19:24-30 (NKJV) 24 Now Mephibosheth the son of Saul came down to meet the king. And he had not cared for his feet, nor trimmed his mustache, nor washed his clothes, from the day the king departed until the day he returned in peace. 25 So it was, when he had come to Jerusalem to meet the king, that the king said to him, "Why did you not go with me, Mephibosheth?" 26 And he answered, "My lord, O king, my servant deceived me. For your servant said, 'I will saddle a donkey for myself, that I may ride on it and go to the king,' because your servant is lame. 27 And he has slandered your servant to my lord the king, but my lord the king is like the angel of God. Therefore do what is good in your eyes. 28 For all my father's house were but dead men before my lord the king. Yet you set your servant among those who eat at your own table. Therefore what right have I still to cry out anymore to the king?" 29 So the king said to him, "Why do you speak anymore of your matters? I have said, 'You and Ziba divide the land.' " 30 Then Mephibosheth said to the king, "Rather, let him take it all, inasmuch as my lord the king has come back in peace to his own house."
2 Samuel 9:1-13 (NASB) 1 Then David said, "Is there yet anyone left of the house of Saul, that I may show him kindness for Jonathan's sake?" 2 Now there was a servant of the house of Saul whose name was Ziba, and they called him to David; and the king said to him, "Are you Ziba?" And he said, "I am your servant." 3 The king said, "Is there not yet anyone of the house of Saul to whom I may show the kindness of God?" And Ziba said to the king, "There is still a son of Jonathan who is crippled in both feet." 4 So the king said to him, "Where is he?" And Ziba said to the king, "Behold, he is in the house of Machir the son of Ammiel in Lo-debar." 5 Then King David sent and brought him from the house of Machir the son of Ammiel, from Lo-debar. 6 Mephibosheth, the son of Jonathan the son of Saul, came to David and fell on his face and prostrated himself. And David said, "Mephibosheth." And he said, "Here is your servant!" 7 David said to him, "Do not fear, for I will surely show kindness to you for the sake of your father Jonathan, and will restore to you all the land of your grandfather Saul; and you shall eat at my table regularly." 8 Again he prostrated himself and said, "What is your servant, that you should regard a dead dog like me?" 9 Then the king called Saul's servant Ziba and said to him, "All that belonged to Saul and to all his house I have given to your master's grandson. 10 "You and your sons and your servants shall cultivate the land for him, and you shall bring in the produce so that your master's grandson may have food; nevertheless Mephibosheth your master's grandson shall eat at my table regularly." Now Ziba had fifteen sons and twenty servants.
Today's Gospel Installment 02-08-2026 Sermon title: Holy Spirit Testimony 1 Corinthians 2:9-16 (NASB) 9 but just as it is written, "THINGS WHICH EYE HAS NOT SEEN AND EAR HAS NOT HEARD, AND which HAVE NOT ENTERED THE HEART OF MAN, ALL THAT GOD HAS PREPARED FOR THOSE WHO LOVE HIM." 10 For to us God revealed them through the Spirit; for the Spirit searches all things, even the depths of God. 11 For who among men knows the thoughts of a man except the spirit of the man which is in him? Even so the thoughts of God no one knows except the Spirit of God. 12 Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, so that we may know the things freely given to us by God, 13 which things we also speak, not in words taught by human wisdom, but in those taught by the Spirit, combining spiritual thoughts with spiritual words. 14 But a natural man does not accept the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him; and he cannot understand them, because they are spiritually appraised. 15 But he who is spiritual appraises all things, yet he himself is appraised by no one. 16 For WHO HAS KNOWN THE MIND OF THE LORD, THAT HE WILL INSTRUCT HIM? But we have the mind of Christ.
Today's Gospel Installment 02-01-2026 Sermon title: Crippled in Both feet 2 Samuel 4:4 (NASB) 4 Now Jonathan, Saul's son, had a son crippled in his feet. He was five years old when the report of Saul and Jonathan came from Jezreel, and his nurse took him up and fled. And it happened that in her hurry to flee, he fell and became lame. And his name was Mephibosheth.
Today's Gospel Installment 01-25-2026 Sermon title: Christ and Him crucified 1 Corinthians 2:1-9 (NASB) 1 And when I came to you, brethren, I did not come with superiority of speech or of wisdom, proclaiming to you the testimony of God. 2 For I determined to know nothing among you except Jesus Christ, and Him crucified. 3 I was with you in weakness and in fear and in much trembling, 4 and my message and my preaching were not in persuasive words of wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power, 5 so that your faith would not rest on the wisdom of men, but on the power of God. 6 Yet we do speak wisdom among those who are mature; a wisdom, however, not of this age nor of the rulers of this age, who are passing away; 7 but we speak God's wisdom in a mystery, the hidden wisdom which God predestined before the ages to our glory; 8 the wisdom which none of the rulers of this age has understood; for if they had understood it they would not have crucified the Lord of glory; 9 but just as it is written, "THINGS WHICH EYE HAS NOT SEEN AND EAR HAS NOT HEARD, AND which HAVE NOT ENTERED THE HEART OF MAN, ALL THAT GOD HAS PREPARED FOR THOSE WHO LOVE HIM."
Today's Gospel Installment 01-18-2026 Sermon title: Consider Your Calling TEXT: 1Corithians 1 vs 26-31 1 Corinthians 1:26-31 (NASB) 26 For consider your calling, brethren, that there were not many wise according to the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble; 27 but God has chosen the foolish things of the world to shame the wise, and God has chosen the weak things of the world to shame the things which are strong, 28 and the base things of the world and the despised God has chosen, the things that are not, so that He may nullify the things that are, 29 so that no man may boast before God. 30 But by His doing you are in Christ Jesus, who became to us wisdom from God, and righteousness and sanctification, and redemption, 31 so that, just as it is written, "LET HIM WHO BOASTS, BOAST IN THE LORD."
Today's Gospel Installment 01-10-2026 Sermon title: The Preaching of the cross TEXT: 1Corithians 1 vs 18 to 25 1..Apostle Paul continued to argue for the primacy of Christ and His cross as the only reason one is saved. 2..He said God did not send him to baptize, but to preach the cross. 3..And for him to preach the gospel was and is to preach the cross. 4..Anything else that men and omen may do for salvation is an attempt to nullify the cross. 5..But God is laser pointed on the crucified Christ and this is His wisdom and power.. 6..The world has wisdom, but it is not the wisdom that leads to salvation, therefore it is foolishness.. 7..And God's wisdom refuses to be domesticated to the ideas and agendas of man.. This and more and IT IS FREE!
Date 12/28/2025 Text: 1 Corinthians 1 vs 10-17 Title: Nullifying the cross 1..Apostle Paul is now going to start highlighting and addressing the issues that were happening in the Corinthian church. 2..He had gathered from those of the house of Chloe that they were divisions among them.. 3..Divisions along those that had preached to them like Apollos, Peter, Paul and even some saying CHRIST as if these were all on par with each other and I think these lines may just have been representative of the many schisms existing in that body.. 4..But Paul came to settle the issues by drawing them to the reason why they were called the church of God. It was because of Christ and Christ alone not because of the preachers. 5..Preachers do not cause anyone's salvation.. The person who matters is Christ and He can't be divided.. 6..So Paul said, this is how you were saved? It was not because of Paul dying for them, but Christ.. 7..It was not because of baptism, because Christ did not send him to dunk people in water, because that does not save anyone.. 8..Paul said, he was sent to preach the gospel... Preaching the gospel then is important in the salvation business. But we must also know that mere preaching is not the cause of a sinner's justification... 9..Preaching is for calling the elect to Christ by giving the basis upon which faith and repentance are worked in the sinner by the Holy Spirit.. This and more and it is free!
Date 12/21/2025 Sermon Title: Introduction to 1 Corinthians Text: 1 Cor 1 vs 1-9 1. I bless the name of the Lord who has not only saved me, but also called me to declare the same salvation. 2. The letters to the Corinthians though serving as rebukes to correct the foolishness that was happening had a much bigger purpose. 3. The foolishness was in the bigger scheme of things, necessary to define and highlight the importance of the gospel. 4. This is a very important book and should be a huge blessing to all whose sin has been exposed. 5. In other words, this is a gospel book and I pray the Lord will bless the teaching and hearing of what He will deliver to us in the years to come. 6. It is needful that we should know and believe God's gospel, because there is only one God and one gospel, one Spirit, One baptism, one faith, One Mediator between God and Men, the Lord Jesus Christ. 7. It is Free!
Gospel instalment: 12/14/2025 Sermon Title: Greetings and final exhortations Text: Romans 16 1. This message marks 3 years since we started teaching through the book of Romans and it will be the last instalment. 2. I highly recommend that the listener as a good student go back from the beginning and listen to the previous messages. 3. Romans is too important a book to not understand because much of the falsehood about salvation stems from not paying attention to God's arguments as He has presented them in this book. 4. And it has been the greatest privilege and honor for the Lord to grant me to do my own chicken scratch in this glorious gospel. 5. And I pray that my labor even in a little way has not been in vain-that it has profited any who was given ears to hear. 6. Now, we close the book on a high note-the same way Paul closed it and we will glean whatever the Lord wants us to glean at this time. 7. Next, we shall be in the Corinthian letters and I reckon for another 3 to 4 years. But we shall SEE what God will do. AMEN!

Gospel installment: 11-29-2025 Message Title (s): 1. A conversation with Barabbas 2. He released Barabbas to them 1. The Lord Jesus was on His way to the cross to be crucified. 2. THis is what He came to do. 3. And we have to interpret the proceedings around His trial as gospel testimonies. 4. And He met a number of people along the way to the cross and each encounter bore a gospel testimony. 5. So, after He had been delivered to Pilate, and the Lord gave us a tonne of gospel nuggets to mine. 6. And I am going to say-if we understand and believe the gospel testimony in Barabbas then we have been taught of God. 7. A hermeneutic that fails to see the gospel in this is a FALSE Hermeneutic. This is not literature. It is gospel, it is salvation, it is life AND IT IS FREEE. YOU MUST HEAR THIS MESSAGE and HEAR IT AGAIN.
Today's Gospel Instalment: 11/16/2025 Sermon Title(s): 1. Aim to preach the gospel 2. Paul's intention to visit Rome 1. I am excited and sad that we are coming to the end of the book of Romans. 2. It has been a most blessed almost 3 years of teaching and learning the gospel of God. 3. Apostle Paul is now closing his letter to those called of God at/in Rome. 4. He is looking forward to seeing them and this letter was his preparation of his meeting with them, but also preparing them to prepare for his journey to Spain. 5. But in the meantime, he must go to Jerusalem to deliver some help to poor saints there. 6. And he was asking them to pray for this mission to be successful and also his dealings with those in disbelief there (the Jews who wanted him dead). 7. And it was his hope and prayer that after this was completed, he would head to Rome and commune with them and then they would send him off to Spain. 8. A lot of things here that cannot be exhausted even in 3 messages, but since we shall continue to be in Pauline epistles we will only speak to that which the Lord will give me for now. And it is FREE!
Title: The Doctrine of Imputation-Mrs. Potiphar's Testimony Preached 11-10-2025 Text: 2 Cor 5 vs 21 1. Continued to amplify the centrality of the doctrine of imputation to Christian hope and faith. 2. And saying, this is not a new doctrine. 3. Rather God taught in many types and shadows right from the Old Testament. 4. And the story of Mrs. Potiphar is very illustrative of this doctrine in its purity. 5. A lot of scandal her and how she got Joseph in trouble and yet she was not condemned. 6. And this only because of the testimony of the garment that Joseph left her in her hands. 7. And that garment (a picture of the imputed righteousness of Christ) was her only hope and testimony of vindication. WONDERFUL GOSPEL, GOd be be praised!
22). 6. So, He was "made sin" not by infusion/impartation, but by imputation of sin debt/guilt. 6. Imputation does not transfer material or infuse things into a person. Rather, it legally reckons them as liable for the sins of another-as with Christ Jesus, and it makes the elect sinner also righteous in reverse. 7. The elect are legally righteous in the books of God, but not experientially, since they are not yet glorified. They all still have INDWELLING SIN. Indwelling sin is a constant REMINDER that our ONLY RIGHTEOUSNESS and HOPE lies in IMPUTED RIGHTEOUSNESS (God's righteousness). 8. Thus, the matter of salvation is best understood and believed through the doctrine of imputation and accompanying doctrines. By the death of Christ God made us the righteousness of God in Him. THAT IS HOW GOD SEES THINGS. 9. And how GOD SEES THINGS IS THE ONLY THING THAT MATTERS and IT IS FREE
Gospel installment: 10/5/2025 Text: Romans 15 vs 1-7 Sermon TItle: The Strong for the weak 1. We continue with Paul's gospel teaching/testimony through the imperatives. 2. And I am going to say, I do not teach imperatives just as pure imperatives. Most of the imperatives are actually gospel testimonies. Paul did not pull them from thin air. 3. You will hear more gospel in the imperatives than the imperatives themselves. 4. But that is not say the imperatives are not important. The God of the Indicatives (those things by which you were saved, things true of you because of Christ) is the same God of the exhortations -imperatives(what you ought to do in light of your being accepted). 5. But Paul used gospel testimony to continue to teach how we ought to accept those who are weak in Christ. 6. This is a wonderful message, because it is the testimony of Christ. AND IT IS FREE!
Today's Gospel stream 10-12-2025 Sermon Title: Something Old & Something New Pt 1 Text: Genesis 1 to 7 1. This is a new series that I am beginning and will last as long as I will preach. 2. The idea is to showcase gospel testimony from the Old Testament stories-the Old and connect to the New. So, they will carry the title-SOMETHING OLD & SOMETHING NEW. 3. And one cannot do this if they do NOT have a gospel centered hermeneutic in how they read all the scriptures. 4. The bible is not about the nation of Israel. It is about Christ Jesus, the True Israel of God. 5. Thus, it must bear witness to Him who said-in the scroll of the book it is WRITTEN ABOUT ME. 6. This is a wonderful message, but it is not for one-time listening. That is how many continue to be famished in gospel things because they listen not to enjoy Christ's testimony but to just tick off something on their list. 7. But we Preach Christ and IT IS FREE!
Gospel instalment: 10-05-25 Text: Romans 14 vs 14-23 Sermon Title: Party in your Box Pt 2 1. Many shy away from the imperatives because they have heard them taught by preachers who do not know the gospel. 2. Those who do not know the gospel will turn every commandment into Law and Law and leave you feeling unsaved. 3. But the gospel is not a New Law, it is the gospel of God's free and sovereign grace. 4. But the imperatives ARE FOR THE SAVED, therefore DOING or NOT DOING WILL NOT SAVE OR CONDEMN ANYONE. 5. However, they are included in the package of the gospel to the church for the instruction of the body of Christ. 6. Because they come from the Lord, they are IMPORTANT and are not suggestions. And if you think with a gospel hermeneutic you are going to find the gospel tagged in the imperatives, because they NEVER COME NAKED or STANDING ON THEMSELVES-but on what Christ has done. 7. So, Paul is going to say-guard your freedom. Do not entangle the redeemed and distress them because of the things that you approve or disapprove of. They are NOT HOW A SINNER STANDS BEFORE GOD. 8. Exercise your freedom with diligence. Also, do not impose your bondage on others because a sinner stands ONLY IN CHRIST. Much to say and a lot of wonderful things AND IT IS FREE!
Message Title (s): 1. Party In Your Box Pt 1. 2. Doubtful Things, 3. Weak Faith, 4. Differing Opinions Text: Romans 14 vs 1-13 1. The Blessed Apostle Paul continued his discourse on imperatives (commands to the saved). 2. He is going to speak to the matter of Christian conscience and freedom in the light of the gospel. 3. He will speak to the matter of what we approve and do not approve of as things that could cause a brother/sister in Christ to stumble and yet are not important things. 4. He called such things, the doubtful things or things of differing Opinions (NET). 5. And many, unfortunately create righteousness of their judgment of things that are doubtful, things of opinion. In Paul's context, it was about meats, and the observation of days, but the issues ARE/WERE NOT CONFINED TO SUCH ALONE. 6. And the Apostle said-the one of weak faith should not judge a brother/sister of strong faith and vice versa, because both of them are not qualified to judge each other. God was able and is HE alone who causes a sinner to stand-both of weak and strong faith. 7. Judgment should be left to Christ, who was appointed to it and of whom we shall all be see for the same. 8. This is going to be a series of messages that will carry the heading-PARTY IN YOUR BOX and this is part 1-the proper exercise of Christian freedom. AND THIS IS FREE!
Message Title: Love One Another Text: Romans 13 vs 9-14 Date: 09-21-2025 1. Apostle Paul continued with the imperatives in this section and will do so to the end of the book of Romans. 2. Why the imperatives? The simple answer is that God commands them. These were not Paul's ideas. 3. But this is a continuation of the teaching of how the redeemed ought to relate to things, people and each other as the church body. 4. The Holy Spirit was/is defining for us how Christ's church should think and conduct itself in the world. Yes Christianity is DEFINABLE in both the indicatives (how God saved sinners) and imperatives (how the saved ought to think and behave). 5. At the opening of Romans 13 he talked about the redeemed's relationship to governing authorities and said-they ought to be honored because God works through them-so do not go crazy. 6. Now, he goes into how we ought to relate to one another and says-love one another-owe no one anything but love. 7. And he said love is the fulfilment of the Law-is the goal of the Law. But this does not mean that Paul was putting back the redeemed under the Law. God is love and His love is also central to our redemption-Christ loved the church and gave Himself for her. 8. The other motivation to put on the armor of light (Christ, the gospel) is that the days of your final redemption is drawing near, so be encouraged in this matter. This is FREE!
Today's Gospel: 09-14-2025 Sermon Title: 1. God's Sovereignty, 2. How much/far is God's sovereignty Sermon Title: Psalm 113 1. Who rules this creation and how much? 2. The God of creation has spoken to all matters of His rule and IT IS OFFENSIVE to many who are not taught of God. 3. THIS IS A VERY WONDERFUL AND YET OFFENSIVE MESSAGE.
Today's Gospel Testimony: 09-07-25 Sermon Title: Whose Righteousness then? Text: Ezekiel 14 1. One who is born of a woman does not have as many problems as they suppose. 2. That is what seems to suggest to all and sundry. 3. However, the child of a woman faces one problem ONLY. And it is how they shall meet with a holy and righteous God in peace. 4. There is a meeting with God, but standing on what ground? Standing in peace or pieces? 5. How does a sinner meet with God? What does God require and how has He answered the question? 6. Unless our answer squares with God's answer we have a FALSE GOSPEL. 7. But God has not been silent about the matter. He preached the testimony in our text, which we shall explore, the Lord opening ears as He wills. AND IT IS FREE!
Today's Gospel instalment: 08-31-25 Text: Romans 13 vs 1-7 Sermon Title: The Christian and government 1. Apostle Paul continued to teach on "Table Manners", that is, the gospel imperatives/commands/exhortations/instructions. 2. All the redeemed are to submit to civil authorities. 3. And that would sound strange given Rome and its issues 4. But there is a reason why we should submit and it is because of God. He is sovereign and works His rule through civil authority and that for your good. This and more and it easy. 4. And this love is from God, who is love and first loved us and works that love through the Holy Spirit. 5. All these exhortations have the goal of causing the redeemed to be sober for the sake of Christ. 6. The gospel of unconditional salvation (grace) is very revolutionary and if you hear it correctly you should conclude that there is no amount of sinning that can change it. And THAT IS TRUE. 7. However, God does not want us to go crazy. Hence, the imperatives. But imperatives do not cause salvation. They do not make you loved more or saved more. IF God saved you, He already loved you before the foundation of the world. This and more..
Today's Gospel instalment: 08-24-25 Text: Romans 12 vs 9-21 Sermon Title: Conduct in Love 1. Apostle Paul continued to teach on "Table Manners", that is, the gospel imperatives/commands/exhortations/instructions. 2. All the redeemed are called children by God and He has spoken to how He wants His children to behave. 3. And Apostle Paul is going to talk about the conduct of the believer, but first and foremost, it must be motivated by love.
Today's Gospel installment: 08-17-2025 Sermon Title (s): 1. Adam and Sin, 2. Could Adam sin before the fall? 3. Why Sin? Text: Genesis 2 and 3. 1. There is a lot of foolish things that have been spoken about Adam and the matter of sin. 2. And the reason being that many, unfortunately who occupy the pulpits have not been taught of God about the mystery of Christ. 3. And that means it is Christ Jesus who provides the key that opens understanding of all things. 4. And that to say, one cannot and should not read Adam APART from Christ and the gospel mystery, otherwise your cause and effect is going to be WRONG 5. Christ Jesus though born much later in the flesh, was before Adam because He is God. 6. And God has His ETERNAL PURPOSE IN CHRIST. And that means it is Christ who drives the life and events of Adam, not the other way round. 7. There is a lot of understanding shared in this message and I pray the Lord will give you the ability to hear, and that means to understand spiritual realities that were given in pictures. AND IT IS FREE!
Sermon Title (s): The King's High way, 2. Edom's Roadblock to Israel, 3. The death of Miriam and Aaron Text: Numbers 20 1. So many gospel things to glean. 2. We will explore the gospel testimony around the death of Miriam, the sister of Aaron and Moses. 3. Then we will talk about the Israel's experience with Edom as they were trying to find a way through Edom to the Promised Land. 4. Then we will close off with the testimony of Aaron. 5. These are all related stories, but different vantage points of Law and gospel. 6. This a wonderful gospel message and I pray it will be a blessing to you. 7. AND IT IS FREE!
Today's Gospel instalment: 07-20-2025 Text: Romans 12 vs 4-8 and 1Cor 12 vs 13-27 Sermon Title (s): . The body & its members 1. We continue with Pauline's teaching of the church and its organization. 2. And when we step into these areas we must do so with the gospel light. 3. Definitions must be made of things. Fundamentally, what is the gospel and by extension-what is not the gospel? 4. The gospel is what saved the sinner from God's wrath and that by what Christ did alone. 5. But in this, Jesus purchased a church, a community of people-who are justified and righteous, but sinners in practice. 6. If you think you are not a sinner in practice then you are still deceived with respect to righteousness. 7 However, Paul taught on the commands, instructions to help guide the church to work effectively and correctly for the sake of Christ. 8. And we will continue to mix and blend the indicatives (what is got you saved and is true about you in Christ) and the imperatives (the table manners of all the redeemed." So many wonderful things to glean, but you must listen to the end..
Gospel instalment: 07-13-2025 Sermon Title: 1. One body in Christ, 2. Unity in Diversity Text Romans 8 vs 4-8 1. Paul is slightly changing gears from Rom 12 to 16. Now, he discusses how the body of Christ ought to relate to the gospel. 2. And so, we enter the imperatives/instructions sections of the teaching. 3. And these things are needful because God commands them of His church. 4. But in doing so, we must be careful to delineate what things makes for salvation and what things are for the redeemed to do because THEY ARE SAVED . 5. Salvation is by grace alone (Unchangeable). But the instructions are NECESSARY for the body of Christ to function in the way that He deemed it. 6. So, Paul is going to keep working on the gifts as necessary for service in the body. And he will argue that the body is comprised of many different members and borrowing from human anatomy he instructs the church is a body and functions similarly.
Gospel instalment: 07-06-2025 Sermon Title: 1. Conduct in humility Text: Romans 12 1. Apostle Paul has thus far labored to teach God's way of making a sinner righteous. 2. And it is not of works or law obedience, but of grace alone. 3. And the same God has gathered a community of the redeemed-the church, the body of Christ. 4. And He has issued instructions on how it ought to function for His sake. 5. So, Apostle Paul now goes into the commands, imperatives, instructions, exhortations of his teaching to help guide the church in its conduct. 6. And we have followed the same pattern in the presentation of the gospel, that we do not teach imperatives apart from the gospel. 7. Why? because many have turned the imperatives into the gospel or means to establish another righteousness for themselves. 8. So, there are many things to say, things to qualify to get this right. And whilst at this, the imperatives of the New Covenant are NOT the Law of Moses. Many things to glean...The sermon emphasizes the importance of understanding the gospel as the foundation for Christian living, arguing that imperatives—commands or exhortations—are not the basis for salvation but rather flow from it. It highlights the necessity of renewing the mind with gospel truth to properly interpret and apply these commands, which are intended to guide the church in conducting itself with humility and purpose within a world often driven by vanity and unbelief. Ultimately, the message underscores that true Christian conduct stems from a recognition of God's grace and a desire to reflect His character, fostering a functioning community rooted in the gospel and distinct from worldly patterns.
Title: Aaron's Vindication Text: Numbers 17 1. God is in the business of preaching Christ Jesus. 2. Israel is in the wilderness and there had been a rebellion against His rule and order through Moses and Aaron. 3. But He is sovereign, so they did not cause the insurrection. The insurrection was for God to preach the need of a mediator who stands between life and death. 4. And so, God's judgment came and people died and more were to die. 5. However, there was intercession by way of Aaron that stopped the plague. 6. And this intercession was typological of the intercession of Christ that separated condemnation from justification. 7. But there are serious theological implications to the meaning of these things. God means to teach us that Christ Jesus is His appointed person to cause your salvation. 8. And any attempt to help Him always leads to death-your death. And God sought to vindicate His choice of Christ through Aaron. Many gospel nuggets to glean and they are FREE!
Today's gospel installment: 06-01-2025 Today's Gospel Installment: 06/01/2025 Sermon Title (s): 1. The Korah Rebellion, 2. He stood between the dead and the living. Text: Numbers 16 1. We get to the story of Israel sometime after their exodus and wandering in the wilderness of the desert. 2. And the LORD sought to preach another sermon of our need of redemption through the rebellion of Korah. 3. Israel was always a rebellious people despite experiencing the presence of God in their midst. 4. But the Lord would with the Korah rebellion preach many wonderful gospel truths of the spiritual condition of men and women that to say we are nature rebels without a cause and naturally in trouble. 5. And that rebellion brings about God's wrath and judgment. 6. And God's wrath demands propitiation if the plague must be removed. 7. This is wonderful message and I pray the LORD will give you spiritual ears to hear and understand it. AND IT IS FREE!
Today's Gospel installment: 05/25/2025 Title: How much more Text: Luke 12 vs 22-34 1. The Lord was a gospel preacher and one has to use a gospel mind to properly read His words. 2. In this section of Luke he spoke to the matter of what is important. 3. And in the life of the world, riches is what is on people's hearts and minds and unfortunately it does not end there. 4. Many falsely or mistakenly associate earthly riches with Divine favor and salvation. 5. And the Lord Jesus came to straighten things out and said, you have your priorities ALL WRONG. 6. First, you have no power to cause anything. Secondly, God knows exactly all that you need and will see to it, so prioritize God because the very things that you are anxious about cannot save you and guess what, that IS WHAT THE WHOLE WORLD IS CHASING AFTER? 7. Will expand on this and other related matters and IT IS FREE!
Today's gospel installment: 05-04-2025 Message Title: The Widow's Offering 1. We come to yet another very popular story about giving. 2. And it has unfortunately been used by many to extort money from poor people. 3. But what was this story about? Was it about our giving to God, the nature or spirit of our giving or what is it about something else? 4. Why did Jesus commend the poor widow for her giving? 5. Why did Jesus say, she had given more than all? 6. These stories cannot understood apart from the testimony of the gospel. 7. And that means without a gospel centered, Christ centered hermeneutic there is no way to arrive at the truth that God intended by them. THIS is a wonderful gospel testimony and it is free!
Today's Gospel installment: 04-27-2025 Message Title: 1. Zacchaeus come down, 2. Of Short Stature Text: Luke 19 vs 1-10 1. We go into the very famous story of Zacchaeus which also has had many traditions of salvation built around it. 2. IT is a story like the Good Samaritan than many think they know about, but don't know about. They don't know what the Good Samaritan was preaching about, as popular as it is. 3. With Zacchaeus there are a lot of connections that need to be made with Lord's teaching in the previous chapter of Luke 18. 4. Everything said, what are the qualifications of those that inherit the kingdom? 5. What are the issues that face one born of a woman as God sees them? 6. What is God's proposed solution to dealing with you as a sinner? ALL THESE and more are answered in the story of Zaccheus. 7. THIS IS A MOST WONDERFUL MESSAGE, but you must have the DISCIPLINE to follow the whole message to get the gospel pieces. 8. Also, with every message ASK THE LORD TO GIVE YOU UNDERSTANDING and INTEREST in the things that relate to CHRIST JESUS. IT IS FREE!
Text: Leviticus 21 & 22 Message Title(s): 1. The Law and Christ, 2. Acceptable offerings 1. To understand the Law we must understand the gospel. 2. The gospel is not Law and the Law is not the gospel. 3. The Law had its function and testimony with respect to the sinner. And it was to bring Woe and Hopelessness. 4. But the Law also had a different relationship to the Lord Jesus, since He was God and sinless man. 5. First, the Law testified of Him in all its writings. 6. But it also had a function to test His fitness for His work. 7. This is a long message with a lot of teaching and glorious and it ends in the RESURRECTION OF THE LORD. AND IT IS FREE!
Today's Gospel installment: 04/13/2025 Sermon Title(s): 1.The death of Saul, 2..The end of the Law Text: 1Sam 31 1..We will explore the testimony of Saul to see what he represented in the gospel testimony. 2.God cannot devote coverage of a person's life and record it in the Bible just so that we can come and do a character assassination of that person in moralistic teaching.. 3..If David was an eminent type of Christ, then Saul was an eminent type of the Law.. The Law is a companion to the telling and revelation of Christ, for it testified of Him.. 4..But Saul must die, his reign must end, but as a gospel testimony.. 5..David and Saul cannot both be on the throne, one has to give way to the other.. The superior one will remain.. 6..But we must show how Saul was a picture of the Law and everything that God was teaching through him.. And this we will do, if you would listen to the message. 7..AND IT IS FREE!
Today's gospel installment: 04/06/2025 Sermon Title(s): Sermon Title: 1. Ziklag burned down, 2. The brook Beshor,3. Servant of an Amalekite, 4. David's spoil, 5. They shall share alike. 6. 3 days ago I felt sick. Text: 1 Samuel 30. 1. What is your gospel? 2. Is it the same as what God revealed in the story of David and the capture and recovery of his wives? 3. Is your gospel conditioned on you and what you have done to be saved or is it of God's grace alone? 4. What does God say? This is a MUST HEAR MESSAGE. Yes, it is long, but heaven will have a whole lotta longer messages. And it is FREE!
Today's gospel instalment: 03/30/2025 Title: 1. The Intercession of Abigail, 2. Abigail met David's requirements Text: 1 Sam 25 1. The story of David, Nabal and Abigail is a gospel testimony. 2. And it is a continuing story of Christ through these characters. 3. All of them carried gospel themes in their characters that must be understood, otherwise we will only be left with character assasinations and moralisms. 4. We explore the whole chapter and show what each stood for in the testimony of the gospel. 5. And Abigail is much more than what many think they understood about her. And this is because they never used a gospel centered, Christ centered hermeneutic to define the characters. 6. And a gospel centered hermeneutic is the ONLY PROFITABLE way to read the scriptures because they testify of Christ and make one wise according to salvation. 7. Today's Gospel installment 03/23/2025 Sermon Title: 1. Depart from me Lord Text: Luke 5 vs 1 to 11 1..The Lord Jesus was preaching in Galilee by the sea shore. 2..He asked to use Simon's boat so that He could preach the Word of God to the multitude. 3..Afterwards, he commanded Simon to cast his net into the deep for which he had a great and miraculous catch having toiled all night to no avail. 4..And the catch was so great that they had to offload some of the fish to the second boat and both were filled. 5..And it was at this that Simon said to Jesus, "depart from me Lord, for I am a sinful man." 6..And it is in this context that the Lord introduced Himself to Simon and his fishing brethren and also gave a glimpse of the gospel message. 7..The fishing story is not about fishing.. It is a salvation story... 8..So many nuggets to glean and they are free. A BEREAN Gospel message!
Today's gospel installment: 03/16/2025 Sermon Title: The Rock of Escape Text: 1 Samuel 23 1. We continue to explore the gospel testimony in the life of David and King Saul. 2. David seems to ever be in trouble from the king. The king wants him dead at all cost. And there are gospel themes and dimensions to this seeming endless hatred and determination. 3. But the matters cannot be understood apart from casting them in the mold of Christ Jesus. In other words, Christ Jesus is He who gives understanding of what God was preaching in these stories. 4. Previously, in 1Sam 22 David and his people had sought refuge at the Cave of Adullam, a matter that we explored in the previous message, but they had to leave again. 5. God gave David victory over the Philistines and delivered the people of Keilah, a territory of Judah. 6. But the Keilites and the Ziphites sold out David to Saul. David was being betrayed left, right and center in keeping with the testimony of the Lord Jesus. 7. But in Saul's pursuit, David and his men found themselves surrounded by the men of Saul in the desert of Maon. 8. And it is here that God worked a way of escape for David and his men and the place was called Sela Hammalekoth, the rock of escape. 9. We develop the story and connect the gospel points. AND IT IS FREE!
1..Today's Gospel installment : 03/09/2025 Sermon Title: In the Cave with the king Text: 1 Sam 22 1. We continue with the discovery of the testimony of Christ, the redemptive story through the life of David and Saul. 2..In our story we will find David at the Cave of Adullam having run away from the Philistines because of Achish, the king of the Philistines who despised him and said this mad man couldn't come into his house . 3..David had feigned madness and that as a testimony of the foolishness of the cross/of Christ. 4..Now he sought refuge at the cave, he and his people.. And this is opens for us a tonne of gospel nuggets to explore. 5.. But as he is at the cave, Saul was enraged and frustrated at what he deemed as treachery by David, Jonathan and his own people. 6.In anger, Saul went to the City of Priests, Nob, and commanded that all the priests be killed. 7.And we will park here again to explore a lot of gospel testimony.. 8. We will end with David's words to Abiathar, the son of Ahimelech the high priest who had escaped the slaughter of the priests and joined David.. Another gospel testimony to explore. Today's Gospel installment:02-23-2025 Message Title: 1. Outside the camp Text: Leviticus 24 vs 10-16 1. The story of the Lord Jesus is written everywhere, both in general and special revelation. 2. God wrote the story of the Lord Jesus in many types and shadows. 3. And many of the types do not seem to speak of Him, but they do. The problem is that people do not see the Lord Jesus Christ because they have a cleaned up image of Him, that is, an image of Christ that has no OFFENSE. 4. In this story we are told about a certain son of an Egyptian, but whose mother was an Israelite. 5. This son blasphemed and cursed God and got in serious trouble. 6. God prescribed to Israel through Moses, what was to be done to such. 7. And we picked up the story to show that this was a gospel testimony. 8. If it is not about Christ then it is NOT WORTH Preaching. 9. It is a Berean gospel and IT IS FREE!
Gospel instalment: 02/16/2025 Text: 1 Sam 21 Message Title(s): 1. Remove this mad man, 2. The foolishness of Christ 1. David has met with Ahimelech, the high priest and asked for bread for his hungry men. 2. Ahimelech gives the bread to David having been satisfied with his testimony of the ceremonial cleanliness of his men. 3. David then asks for a sword and Ahimelech gave him the sword of Goliath. 4. David escapes to Gath, Philistines territory where Achish was the king. 5. David was afraid when he was recognized by the servants of the king and so he feigned madness. 6. The king sees David and he is not impressed. 7. And we explore all these details to glean wonderful gospel testimony. A Berean gospel message and it is FREE!

Today's Gospel instalment : 01/19/2025Sermon Title: Absent from the king's table Text: 1 Samul 201. The running battles between David and Saul continued, but for a gospel testimony.2. And Jonathan, the son of Saul the king of Israel also comes into the mix of the gospel testimony.3. Many for a lack of a gospel hermeneutic will seek to find if Saul and Jonathan were saved and in the process lose sight of what God was preaching.4. Saul, Jonathan and David were all gospel testimonies that wore different hats of the gospel.5. Since there is no single person who could fulfill all the gospel types, in the OT the testimonies were spread out among different people. And so you will see Saul carrying more than one type as God the Father and of the Law. 6. And we shall see this layering too with Jonathan and his relationship with David, which the untaught have horribly misconstrued to be a gay relationship with David. 7. But I did not learn Christ that way, Jonathan and David represent a developing gospel testimony that will continue to unfold in their story.8. So, we will explore the details. And typology is very fluid, but it must be GROUNDED IN NEW TESTAMENT GOSPEL TESTIMONY. IT MUST BE SUPPORTED WITH TRUTH AND REASON OF THE NEW TESTAMENT.And this is FREE!
Today's Gospel installment:01-12—2025Message Title: Let us cross over Text: Luke 8 vs 22-251..This a familiar story of the Lord's power over the natural creation. 2..And this records one of the many miracles the Lord used to authentic both His person and message. 3..But a gospel centered hermeneutic will unearth more gospel nuggets.. 4..And in this story we delve deep into gospel issues that are represented.. By the way typology does not end in the Old Testament.. 5..And I pray the Lord will give you the hearer the understanding.. And it is FREE!
Sermon Title(s): 1. Two gospels 2. The Mariner's gospel, 3. Jonah's GospelText: Jonah 11. This message was preached at New Christian life in Lebanon Tennessee.2. The gospel arguments remain consistent in every book and story of the bible.3. The bible is not about the characters that were recorded in it. Many stumble at the gospel because they tend to be fixated with the characters and miss the point.4. Thus, Jonah is not about how we should not disobey God by going to our own version of Tarshish.5. This is in being UNSKILLED in the word of God. The story is not about Jonah even. It is a testimony of the Lord Jesus.6. Tarshish was not a detour to Nineveh. IT was the way God wanted Jonah to go to Nineveh for the sake of developing the testimony of Christ.7. There are two "gospels" that are presented in this wonderful story. One according to the Mariners and the other according to Jonah. And you must listen to hear what those are.8. Also, there is very high sovereignty presented in this message, and everything considered, THIS IS A VERY TOP GOSPEL MESSAGE.And IT IS FREE
Messaged Preached at a REHABILATATION CENTER in Lebanon, Tennessee.Date: 12-15-2024Text: Mark 5 vs 1-34Message Title: IF ONLY1. Chapter 5 of Mark has some most wonderful gospel nuggets that are contained in the stories.2. It presents the human spiritual condition in the picture of the Demoniac, then Jairus' daughter and the woman with the issue of blood.3. The stories are connected as they speak differently but to the same issue of what has befallen men and women.4. But in all these the chapter presents and provides the solution to the predicament. And that solution comes in the person and power of the Lord Jesus Christ.5. This is a short message in comparison to many of our messages. Nevertheless, it is choke full of wonderful gospel nuggets. And they ARE FREE!
Sermon Title(s): 1. Mold in the house, 2. Purification of a diseased house1. The Old Testament is replete with wonderful gospel testimonies.2. In Leviticus 14, the LORD GOD gave instruction and taught on how a house that had been plagued by mold would be made habitable-made clean.3. And this of course not to teach about handling Covid type pandemics, but to preach the matter of sin and its purification.4. And when you pay attention to the text, you will see most of the doctrines of salvation presented.5. The message presents the problem-a molded house and the solution to remedy it.6. And God's solution always had the mediation of the Priest and the shedding of blood and that tells you this is all about the work of the Lord Jesus Christ, God's ultimate Priest in the purification of the sinner.7. Too many wonderful gospel nuggets that you would not want to miss and THEY ARE FREE!
Message Title (s): 1. A partial hardening, 2. God's gifts and calling irrevocable.1. Paul continued to explain the mystery behind Israel's unbelief.2. He said it is more than what meets the naked eye. God is working something, thus their unbelief is God driven, but with a purpose.3. The purpose is bring in all the gentiles and then the elect from among national ethnic Israel. He says, do not be ignorant of this mystery lest you get conceited.4. And I surmise that the reasoning behind this staggard approach is so that the Jew and Gentile elect would only boast in the cross of Christ.5. But there is more to all these details. 1. Romans 11:25 (NKJV), For I do not desire, brethren, that you should be ignorant of this mystery, lest you should be wise in your own opinion, that blindness in part has happened to Israel until the fullness of the Gentiles has come in.2. Romans 11:28-30 (NKJV) 28 Concerning the gospel they are enemies for your sake, but concerning the election they are beloved for the sake of the fathers. For the gifts and the calling of God are irrevocable. For as you were once disobedient to God, yet have now obtained mercy through their disobedience,
Today's gospel installment: 11/9/24Text: 2SAMUEL 24Title: And the plague stopped 1..God is always preaching Christ Jesus. 2.. He moved David to commit a sin, by numbering Israel.. 3..Now that God many do not know about ...4..But that is the GOD of the bible..5..But He made David to sin and caused many people to be killed by the plague.. 6..A plague of death that God brought through His angel. 7..Now, God must teach what must be done to make atonement.. 8..So, He moved David to begin the work of atonement... 9..And where and when God's requirements are met, the result ALWAYS IS THE REMOVAL OF WRATH, PROPITIATION AND JUSTIFICATION... 10..And this all looking to Christ Jesus. A Berean Gospel message..
Message Title(s):1. Why was Sodom destroyed?2. Remember Lot's wife3. A city called ZoarGod destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah with brimstone and fire. But in the gospel context, why was it destroyed? Many will say, because of their sin? But that is not the whole story, because if that were the case, what about your sin? Are we better than they?If we believe the gospel, our answer cannot stop at, "because of their sin". Listen to this message for gospel nuggets.
Today's Gospel installment 10/27/24Text: Romans 11 vs 9-24Title: Don't be ignorant of God's MYSTERY. 1..Paul had labored from Romans 9 to explain what was happening with the apparent prevailing unbelief in Israel.2..In Romans 9 he explained that it was because of election, that is, not all who descended FROM Abraham were necessarily God's chosen people. 3..He argued that this was always God's intention according to His PREDESTINED sovereign will in both election and reprobation(POWER AND FREEDOM of the POTTER) .. 4..And in Romans 10, he had shown that Israel despite its zeal had not submitted to God's righteousness..5..And the reason being that they WERE IGNORANT of GOD'S RIGHTEOUSNESS..6.So, they had pursued righteousness as if it was of works and had stumbled at the STUMBLING STONE, the Lord Jesus.7..And in Romans 11, Paul is going to continue with the arguments, to show that what was happening in Israel was MULTILAYERED. 8..And this multilayeredness of the DIVINE PURPOSE NEEDS TO BE KNOWN(UNPACKED) AND UNDERSTOOD because it is part of God's design..9.And Paul is going to take a minute to rebuke Gentile believers for their apparent haughtiness towards Israel and reminded them how God grafted them in as the wild olives.. 10..Lots of weaving of arguments and it is a BEREAN GOSPEL MESSAGE. SO, IT IS SOVEREIGNTY HEAVY AND IS FREE!
Sermon Title(s): 1. Has God rejected His people? 2. Even so then. 3. Remnant Business, 4. Election according to graceText: Romans 10 vs 1-101. Paul continued to labor the matter of the why of Israel's rejection of the gospel.2. He asked if God's purpose had failed, that is, if God had cast away His people?3. And he answered and said no, God cannot fail. But that was not saying, all ethnic Israel belonged to God.4. Rather Paul argued that there was more happening than met the eye. There was election in the background, even among the people of Israel.5. And Paul himself was an Israelite, but who had been saved, showing that God had not forsaken His people.6. But His people are those who were chosen by Him according to grace.7. There was a remnant in Israel according to grace as there was a remnant in the time of Elijah the prophet and in every generation.8. And to in keeping with God's sovereignty and freedom as the potter over the clay. And this is free!
Gospel instalment: 10-05-2024Sermon Title: The Word of faithText: Romans 10: 5-16Sermon is an exposition on Romans 10:5-16 that contrasts the "righteousness of the law" with the "righteousness of faith." Key themes include:Righteousness by the Law: Citing Moses (Leviticus 18:5), Paul explains that adherence to the law requires perfect obedience, which is unattainable by human effort. This leads to condemnation, as seen in Deuteronomy 27:26—any failure under the law brings a curse.Righteousness of Faith: The "righteousness of faith," as preached by Paul, is not earned by human effort but is received through faith in Jesus Christ.Romans 10:9 outlines that confessing with the mouth and believing in the heart that Jesus is Lord brings salvation. This belief is based on Christ's completed work—His death and resurrection—without the sinner needing to fulfill the law by themselves.Imputed Righteousness: Imputed righteousness is what agrees with God's righteousness and is what is meant by the righteousness of faith—and it is a concept where Christ's righteousness is credited to believers, not through their works but by grace. Salvation comes through the sufficiency of Christ's obedience, not human merit.Paul's Argument: Paul continued his lamentation over the Jews' unbelief. They pursued righteousness through the law, failing to see that righteousness comes through faith in Christ. Paul's sorrow stems from their ignorance of God's true righteousness, which was foretold by the Law and the Prophets.Preaching and Faith: The necessity of preaching the gospel is highlighted, And this is FREE!
Today's gospel instalment- 09-29-24--Sermon Title- Christ the end of the Law--1. Many claim to believe the name of the sermon title, but who do not know what it means.-2. So, they will say, yes Christ is the end of the Law for righteousness, but we still have to be under the Law for honoring God etc. And they will have a few verses and some rationalization to try and bring Moses back in that regard. -3.But that is not understanding the matter correctly in the gospel sense.-4. By God's grace we must understand the function of the Law, that is, why was the Law given.-5. And God gave many reasons to that question of the function-purpose of the Law.-6. But He said, the Law was the ministry of death and condemnation and Christ brought an end to it for the elect.-7. The redeemed cannot be under two ministries, One of death and the other of life. Today's Gospel installment 09-22-2024-Text- Romans 10 vs 1-5-Sermon Titles- 1..Zeal without knowledge, 2..Ignorant of God's righteousness, 3..Establishing own righteousness, 4..Not submitted to God's righteousness..-1..Titles are self explanatory and we will delve into each heading to expound it.. -2..But the point being made is very clear, people are in unbelief who are ignorant of God's righteousness.. -3..It does not matter what they bring for God, God has no regard for it... -4..Zeal for God has to be measured according to the truth of righteousness..-5..Essentially, what are people saying is their righteousness---6..This is not a tangential matter, but the real matter of the gospel.. A matter tied to Christ's accomplishments on the cross.. -7..You can't talk of God's righteousness and then condition salvation on moralism... -8..The Jews that Paul was weeping for were as moral as one could be, but that is the way of death...-God will not negotiate down His righteousness to honor your false zeal...-This is free-
Today's gospel instalment- 09-08-2024--Text- Romans 9 vs 23-33-- --Titles -s-- 1. The remnant will be saved, 2. A short work upon the earth, 3. The righteousness of faith, 4. Pursuing the law of righteousness.--1. God is in the remnant business, thus He never determined to save all without exception.--2. And He saved them by a work that He did-what He termed, a SHORT WORK to establish righteousness for the remnant.--3. And the remnant possess this righteousness of faith. And it is not a righteousness because of faith, but a righteousness of faith, which means by Christ alone.--4. But there are some who have pursued this righteousness as if it is of works and to this they were appointed-to stumble at the Rock of Offense.--5. This and more-a Berean gospel message.
Gospel installment- 09-01-2024--Message title- 1.Why does He still find fault----Text- Romans 9 vs 14-23--1..God's offense in Romans 9 continues unabated..--2..Who makes the difference between saved and unsaved----3..Many in the professing church world would argue and say, it is their decision that made the difference for them..--4..And this saying, they were able to figure out Jesus by themselves and made the vote that changed the course of their destiny, which thing other people failed to do..--5..And this of course is false... God is going to continue His defense and say, He alone is the Potter who made the determination of salvation and condemnation by fashioning from the same lump of clay vessels of honor and vessels of dishonor..--6..Same lump of clay is a carryover from the earlier argument about Jacob and Esau being twins, from the same womb and father.. And that saying, the DIFFERENCE MAKER in this matter is God's sovereign will and purpose, not what man do or don't do.. --7..And that means, none can change themselves from being a vessel of dishonor to becoming a vessel of honor or vice versa -Wheat remains wheat and tares, tares as goats remain goats and never become sheep- .. God eternally cast this matter in stone, hence the objections...--7..So, if that is what He did and left man no choice, why does He still find fault----8..Very goood question, but God answers it with a rebuke..-Rom 9-20 Nay but, O man, who art thou that repliest against God-- Shall the thing formed say to him that formed it, Why hast thou made me thus-----9..God says, what qualifications do you have to argue against His decrees----And it is free-

Today's Gospel installment- 08-26-24--Text- Romans 9 vs 14-24--Sermon Titles- 1..The Potter's freedom, 2..For this very PURPOSE I raised you, 3..Is there any unrighteousness with God-- --1..Many who profess Christ have NOT yet bowed down as to agree with God about how He determined to do things.. --2.And this is the MOST EVIDENT when it comes to His sovereignty, especially in salvation.. --3..They have objections to God's way.. And through the rejection of the gospel by the Jews God set to declare WHY ultimately a person is saved or why they reject the gospel..--4..Many in our day, unfortunately even in the professed reformed and sovereign grace circles exert effort to blame the sinner in this matter... But to stop there is clearly to remove the offense of Romans 9 teaching, and ultimately to preach another God, Jesus and gospel..--5..In Romans 9, God sets Himself as the ONLY ULTIMATE CAUSE of whether one is saved or not saved..--6..And He puts forth the naked offense that the reprobate is not so because of their behavior, poor or bad upbringing.. It is NOT EVEN A FACTOR IN HIS DETERMINATION..--7..THIS in the language of Romans 9, happened before they had done neither good nor evil that His purpose in election would stand..--8..And the objections that were raised implied the presumed hearer had understood the points of argument..--9..And the questions to be raised in objection are- If God reprobates and condemns for ultimately nothing wrong that a person did and had no power to change, also seeing that God had the ability to save all, why then does He still find fault-- --10..And if He does that, does that mean He is unrighteous as some will conclude-- --11..Well, God answer
Today's Gospel installment- 08-17-2024--Sermon Title-s- --1..Children of the Desolate woman, 2..No weapon formed shall prosper. 3..Their righteousness is of Me.. --Text- Isaiah 54--1..Our first gospel installment since the Kenya Conference in July of 2024.. --2..We are IN Isaiah 54 to hunt for gospel nuggets as in any other place.--3..And the Lord told the story of our salvation in the Babylonian captivity of Israel.--4..He described them in the picture of the desolate, childless woman.. --5..But He came declaring their gathering and their joy.. --6..But the text is multi-layered and is awash with gospel themes that were proleptic-anticipative- of the Lord Jesus Christ and His own wilderness experience in His incarnation and work of our salvation..--7..God preached the experience of the Lord Jesus through ethnic Israel's captivity, Remember Egyptian Captivity- --8..So, the text is very much layered, but ultimately, the greatest light is seen when Christ Jesus is the center of the understanding of what God recorded. --9..This is a wonderful gospel message, but it takes time to work and connect the details so that they make sense.. --But those who love the truth will put the time to glean the nuggets.. Kenya 2024 - 5 No harlot here --Preached 07-08-2024, Oloitoktok, Kenya-Text- Genesis 39--Other titles- 1. Who made you pregnant-- --1. 2 messages were preached from the Old Testament on this day- Jacob and Esau and then Judah and Tamar.--2. And we continued with our gospel themes of what makes a sinner righteous before God.--3. How a sinner is made or declared to be righteous by or before God is the whole matter for which Christ was revealed.--4. And God had been laboring to teach the simplicity and truth of this matter from the Old Testament stories.--5. And in the story of Judah and Tamar, a seemingly EARTHY STORY that is embarrassing to many by reason of their own sense of righteousness, God was declaring the story and manner of our redemption -justification-.--6. The story answers many things that a sinner is faced with -fruitfulness towards God and their justification-, but in a very straight forward way and yet hidden from the wise and the prudent.--7. How did Tamar escape the condemnation of her father-in-law, Judah-- If we can answer that from the story, then we have answered our own problems before God, because that was God's way of salvation. I will say it again, conditionalism is rife in much of what passes for sovereign grace gospel.--8. But God will only recognize such things for salvation as He gave, not what we bring to Him, our faith or works of obedience.--9. Listen carefully and this will be a blessing and IT IS FREE-
Kenya 2024 - 4 Your God brought it to me Gen 27--Preached 07-08-2024, Oloitoktok, Kenya-Text- Genesis 27--Other titles- 1. How did you get it so quickly my son-- 2. Your God brought it to me, 3. The hands of Esau, 4. God's way of salvation.--1. We continued with our gospel testimony and this time from the Old Testament story of Jacob and Esau.--2. And this is a most wonderful story that illustrates God's way of salvation.--3. And with as much conditionalism as abounds in what passes for gospel in many places, the LORD GOD, set forth His way of justifying a sinner.--4. In the story of Jacob and Esau, we see the sinner identified and how they would enter into their Father's blessing.--5. And this is gospel preaching from types and shadows-the Berean gospel. Thus, one needs to have a proper understanding of the gospel fundamentals otherwise they will make a big mess of these stories in moralistic teaching as many are apt to do.--6. The woman or man born of a woman only has one pressing issue. And it is their justification. In other words, how shall they be accepted by a holy and righteous God-- --7. And if this matter is not asked and answered according to how God has declared it, then there IS NO GOSPEL BEING PREACHED OR BELIEVED and we can only await to hear Jesus say, - depart from Me, you lawless ones, I never knew you.- --8. This is a most wonderful message. May God cause you to hear it. AND IT IS FREE-
Kenya2024 - 3 Who condemns thee---Text- John 8 vs 1-11-Preached 07-07-2024 Oloitoktok, Kenya.. -Other Titles- 1. Where are thine accusers-- 2. What sayest thou-- 3. Neither do I condemn thee-1. This was our 3rd gospel installment preached in Kenya 2024 in the morning session.--2. And we continued to declare and hammer God's way of salvation with the story of the woman caught in adultery.--3. Many think it is about the loose women and how we ought to disciple out of it and miss the gospel testimony that they are the very WOMAN CAUGHT IN Adultery-in the VERY ACT.--4. And ultimately the woman represented the church of Christ which was caught in sin.--5. But what did Jesus have to say about the matter of such as belong to Him-- --6. And what Jesus says is WHAT MATTERS ABOVE ALL ELSE. But did Jesus condemn the woman though she was caught in the very act----7. Imagine being caught in adultery, in the very act, in our days of churchianity and the condemnation that ensues---8. And man, and women will give their many self-righteous reasons as to why such a person should be condemned, not realizing that they are no better-as Jesus would say to the crowd, -let him who has no sin cast the first stone.---9. But in this story God is-was presenting the superiority of grace over Law, of Christ over Moses.--10. Jesus does not answer to Moses and many in our day would call Him an antinomian for not having the woman stoned.--11. But Jesus asks and says, -where are those thine accusers-- Hath no man condemned thee----This and more and it is free
Kenya 2024 - 2 How did the Ephesians become Saints Eph 1-Other titles- 2. The faithful in Christ, 3. Grace and peace from God our Father and Lord Jesus Christ.--Text- Ephesians 1 vs 1-15--Date- 07-09-2024--1. The professing church is not preaching God's gospel.--2. It has come up with its own concoctions- put the name of Jesus and grace into it, but deny the fundamentals of what makes the gospel, the gospel.--3. The Blessed Apostle Paul was writing to the Ephesian saints and he greeted them this way, -Ephesians 1-1-2 -NKJV-,1 Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ by the will of God, To the saints who are in Ephesus, and faithful in Christ Jesus- 2 Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.---4. And to understand the message, one must have some appreciation of Ephesus. It was not the most righteous or golgly city in the world.. Remember the Temple of Dianna, the Goddess, the Queen of heaven was there and idolatry ruled the place----5. Yes, those people who were sooo opposed to Paul and yet when he writes, Paul said, to the saints who are in Ephesus, who are faithful in Christ- WHAT----6. How were there to be found saints in Ephesus-- Because if that can be answered according to God's way, then we are confident to find saints who are faithful in Christ anywhere.--7. But what does it mean to be faithful-- Did Paul say, the Ephesians were faithful to God in their obedience-- No, he did not- Hear the proclamation of God's word as I continued to declare God's way of salvation.--8. And it is free-
Gospel instalment- 06-06-2024-Sermon Title- Kenya 2024 - 1 What is the gospel---Text- Romans 1 vs 1-7--1. Everyone in the professing Church claims to -believe in the gospel.---2. But the unfortunate thing is that what many call the gospel is not the gospel.--3. So, what has happened-- Men have concocted ANOTHER Gospel, a PERVERTED VERSION.--4. But God says, He has a message called the Gospel, the good news, God's gospel.--5. But what is it-- IT is good news CONCERNING HIS SON. So, this gospel CONCERNS HIS SON, not you in respect of Merit or work. --6. The gospel has at its core the IDENTITY OF THE SON OF GOD and then the WORK of the same.--7. The Son of God is a descendant of David according to the flesh and the SON OF GOD according to His eternal being, which matter was attested by His resurrection from the dead.--8. And this Son appeared to accomplish the redemption, reconciliation, justification, adoption of all the elect by way of His obedience to death. --9. And these words are VERY IMPORTANT TO THE GOSPEL TRUTH. Other words that are CRITICAL to the FOUNDATION OF THIS GOSPEL are ELECTION, PREDESTINATION, SURETY, SUBSTITUTION-REPRESENTATION, IMPUTATION and PROPITIATION -Satisfaction-. These ALL go together.-10. A denial or a watering down of any of these terms renders any so-called gospel, a FALSE GOSPEL.-This and more and IT IS ALL FREE-
Today's gospel installment- 04-21-2024-- -Sermon Title- 1. Great sorrow and unceasing anguish, 2. The Painful realities of sovereign grace salvation. 3. The offense of God's sovereignty-- --Text- Romans 9 vs 1-5-- --1. Apostle Paul continued to develop the teaching of God's sovereignty in His creation and salvation.--2. And in Romans 8 he has discussed God's sovereignty in salvation and said, it is all grounded in His sovereign decrees and the work of Christ.--3. Thus, those who are on this side of His decrees are eternally secure, justified and cannot ever be plucked away from Christ by anything.--4. But something else was happening that needed explanation. Israel seemed to be rejecting the gospel whilst Gentile participation continued to increase.--5. How could this be when all the promises of salvation and their covenants had been communicated through ethnic Israel----6. This troubled the Apostle greatly, especially having understood God's sovereignty in this matter.--7. His heart was so burdened for the salvation of His people because he understood the implications of reprobation and the helplessness of men to do anything about it.--8. He said, I have great sorrow and unceasing anguish for my countrymen, my brethren according to the flesh. And that means Paul also had brethren that were not according to the flesh, spiritual brethren.--9. Sovereign grace salvation as good as it sounds for those taught of God also brings about sadness knowing that the matter of salvation was set and sealed from eternity.--10. I believe that until a person comes to the reality of their powerlessness-inability they can never speak or believe
NOTE-WARNING- -You are going to experience some of the things that I deal with behind the scenes when I travel to preach. --It is going to rain a lot on a corrugated roof for about 20 minutes. I did not edit it out so that you have a sense of what happens. And this is only a short piece of the many behind the scenes things.--BUT THIS REMAINS ONE OF THE BEST MESSAGES THAT I HAVE PREACHED IN A LONG LONG TIME. --Message Title- If you do not remain in the boat you will perish--Text- Acts 27-28--1. Paul's voyage to Rome..-2. A most excellent and eminent gospel story-3. Paul was a type of Christ in this story-4. And God preached the story of Christ, the condition of a sinner's redemption.-5. It rained a lot as I said, and the message did not finish recording, but what was recorded was still 2 hrs and 48 mins. Yes, it is missing another 25 mins or so.-6. This message was so glorious, I hope to preach it again some other time in the future.-7. YOU HAVE TO WATCH THE VIDEO TO GET A BETTER FEEL OF THE MESSAGE. -8. IT IS WORTH OF ALL THE ARTEFACTS..... JUST LISTEN TO THE MESSAGE...
Message preached 12-03-2023 at Prince Edward High School.--Title-s-- 1. A simple prescription for leprosy -sin-. 2. And He was made clean, 3. A mighty man with leprosy. 4. The foolishness of grace--1. This is a most wonderful message of God's way of salvation.--2. Many gospels are being preached but they are loaded with conditions that one must meet before they can be made clean.--3. Some say, you be baptized, others say, stop all your sinning, and yet others say, you must get your doctrine straight before you can be made clean.--4. But these are all false ways. Naaman, the Syrian also thought that for his leprosy to be removed, there had to be some elaborate ceremony for him.--5. He had despised God's way of salvation from sin -leprosy--then pictured by washing in the River Jordan at the instruction of the Man of God, Elisha. He preferred to be washed by the waters found in Syria that he deemed were cleaner than the waters of the Jordan.- --6. But if he had continued to insist on the waters of Syria over the seemingly -dirty' waters of the Jordan, then he would have stumbled at the foolishness of Christ.--There is the testimony of the Law and its failure to cause salvation.--7. There is the offense and simplicity of Christ, even of grace.-There are just many wonderful gospel nuggets. I personally love this message. AND IT IS FREE-
Zimbabwe message - 3---Preached December 3rd, Prince Edward High School--Text- Genesis 42--Title-s-- 1. Bring your brother with you, 2. Will not see my face unless your brother with you, 3. The condition of salvation.--1. There are many gospels that speak of Jesus and grace, but are notorious for adding other conditions.-2. Adding any other condition to Christ for a sinner to be saved is a FALSE GOSPEL.-3. Hearing the gospel, faith, repentance, the knowledge of the gospel are not conditions that one meets for there to be justification.-4. Yes, they are related to salvation, but the matter of what God requires for the justification of a sinner must not be muddled. -5. God has spoken about this matter clearly in the matter of SURETY and IMPUTATION.-6. In the story of Joseph and his brothers, the doctrine of surety and their sufficiency is clearly enunciated.-7. Unfortunately, I ran out of power and so the message lost about 20 mins at the end, but you will still get the understanding of the full message.
Message preached 12-03-2023--Title-s-- 1. The gospel according to Job, 2. Accepted in Job, 3. God's prescription to sinners.--1. The book of Job is not about the Devil.-2. And it is not the suffering of sinners.-3. It is about how God saves sinners from Himself.-4. Unless one defines Job and the details around him in a gospel centered way, then the story is lost.-5. The book is about Christ Jesus. And the details were given to bear witness of the suffering servant of God in the salvation of His friends.--This and more and it is free-

Today's gospel instalment- 04-14-2024--Sermon Title- 1. Saul attempts to pin David to the wall, 2. The King's Son-in-Law-- --Text- 1Samuel 18-- --1. The gospel saga continues through the testimony of Saul and David.--2. David and Jonathan made a covenant with each other. Jonathan loved David and because of that relationship made a Covenant and then stripped himself of his own power and gave it to David.--3. And this looking to the end of the reign of Saul through Jonathan who would have been the heir apparent, being the first born. And there was gospel significance to that exchange which we explored.--4. But Saul continued to feel threatened by the rising popularity of David and so sought to eliminate him.--5. And all the attempts to eliminate David were gospel testimonies of God's eternal purpose in Christ.--6. That Christ Jesus, represented by David, would ultimately get the church, the daughter of the king through His own sacrifice as David would get Michal, Saul's daughter by meeting the condition that he would bring 100 foreskins of the Philistines.--7. And in this we find many wonderful gospel narratives and connections.--8. And they are FREE-
Today's gospel instalment- 04-07-2024-- --Sermon Title -s-- 1. David slews Goliath, 2. Give me a man, 3. The gospel from Goliath's pulpit-- --Text- 1Samuel17-- --1. Gospel telling from the Old Testament stories is most wonderful, but it is fraught with potholes by reason of poor hermeneutics.--2. To glean and make sense of the stories, a Christ centered, gospel centered hermeneutic must be used.--3. I argue that much of the New Testament teaching is there in the Old, but hidden in story form.--4. Thus, the characters in the stories must be interpreted in light of the New Testament revelation.--5. Thus, Goliath is not a list of your problems, but a testimony of that which stood against you before God to condemn you.--6. So, His stature was given to amplify that truth of the fearsomeness of attempting your own salvation. And Goliath himself had a wonderful sermon about how the matter of salvation would be settled.--7. He said, give me a man, but NOT just any man, but one who is ABLE TO FIGHT AND KILL ME.--8. In other words, the matter of salvation is about UNION and REPRESENTATION by the qualified Man who could fight to the death.--9. There is a lot of wonderful gospel nuggets in this message if you can listen to the end.--10. But those for whom it was given will make to the end-because it is pure gospel and it is FREE-
Today's Gospel installment- 04-01-2024--Text- 1 Samuel 15 - 16--Message Title- 1. God rejects Saul, 2. Samuel anoints David, 3. God's Spirit leaves Saul, 4..The gospel according to Saul and David in the transition..--1..A happy resurrection of our Lord and Savior Jesus CHRIST to all who name Christ according to His Truth..--2...Saul's reign over Israel must come to an end, not because God hated Saul necessarily, but for a much greater reason..--3..David must ascend the throne. This David who was the man after God's heart..Define David and then you can define Saul... --4..But why this transaction and change-- Why have Saul as king if God didn't approve of his house-- --5..Was God changing His mind about Saul after a disappointing job performance-- Does God change His mind-- --6..What then-- God is a preacher of the gospel. Thus, Saul must be understood in the gospel context.. --7..Saul was a picture of the reign of the Law and its abuse-slavery and that ministry must pass and be succeeded by the better ministry of the man approved by God.. --8..But in typology, a person can carry the testimony of many.. So, Saul was also a picture of God the Father and the text has all these details to back it up.. --9..When Samuel anointed David, the Spirit of God left Saul for David and an evil spirit or distressing spirit was sent by God to torment Saul.. -10..Many traditions around that, but what was that actually preaching about in the gospel-- It actually IS A MARVELOUS GOSPEL MATTER THAT IS CONTAINED IN THAT TESTIMONY.. --SO, MANY THINGS TO SAY AND THIS IS A MUST HEAR MESSAGE.. -And it is free-
Today's Gospel installment - 03-24-2024-Rom - 49 Summary and closing of Romans 8..--1..Will revisit all the doctrines presented in Romans 8 from verse 1 to 39..--2..It has been a lot of teaching of very foundational gospel material that is worth revisiting-recapping on..--3..Context is very important to understand the larger arguments and this for any subject matter.-4..Romans 8 does not begin in Romans 8..It is a build up from Chapter 7, which is a carry over from Romans 6 and you can go back to Romans 1..--5..And in chapter 7, Paul has presented a hopelessness that sin and Law have worked together to produce.--6..He discovered that there was no hope to be found in the Law for a sinner.. And this because of the indwelling sin and the Law's own goodness.--7..So, Paul cries out and say, O, wretched man that I am, who shall deliver me from this body of death-- The sinner has a body of death and ARE INCAPABLE TO DO THE LAW. PERISH THE THOUGHT.. --8..So, Romans 8 gives answer to that question and unveils God's eternal purpose in salvation, His decrees and sovereignty in both the vanity and redemption of His elect creation..-And this is free-
Today's Gospel installment- 03-17-2024--MESSAGE Title- Who and what shall----Text - Romans 8 vs 32-37--1..God has expounded the matter of His sovereign decrees in the salvation of His people..--2..And essentially to say the elect, foreloved, predestined and justified are the safest people forever, no matter what life throws at them, which things are in God's hands..--3..And they are safe because God is for them.. And because He is for them, who shall bring a charge or condemn----4.The answer is, no one, because it is God who justifies and it is Christ who died to satisfy and put away their sin and this Christ is risen and ever lives to make intercession for them..--5.But is this all good enough to keep the redeemed safe, because much of the church world falsely teaches that one can be saved and unsaved-- That one can lose their salvation..--6.God says, that is false and a demeaning of His glory. Why-- Because there is nothing that can separate us from the love of God in Christ..--7..This was-is a serious defense and declaration of eternal security and the irrevocable nature of God's decrees, His grace, Christ's work, His power etc.--And it is free-
Today's gospel instalment- 03-10-2024--Message title- If God be for us--Text- Romans 8 vs 28-34--1..Lots of God's absolute sovereignty teaching in all matters of salvation..-2..We will revisit His decrees in salvation, their unfolding and what or how that should mean or be understood in the light of all the gospel parts.-3..If you were blessed by the ALL THINGS FOR GOOD message from 2 weeks ago, this one is exactly on the same level of treatment, if not a little deeper..-4..Salvation is grounded in God's eternal decrees. Thus, it is not a matter that man helps in the bringing of it.-5..Both God and man are cooks, but God only accepts His own recipe which He accomplished in and by His Son, the Lord Jesus.-6..Man's cooking is bad by nature, thus man has nothing to give to exchange for salvation. All matters of salvation are the free act of God and cannot be changed or frustrated by anyone.-7.. The elect though they may go through suffering in this life have God on their side. He works all things for their good and that good meaning being conformed to the image of His Son. And that conformation is not by elbow grease of progressive sanctification, but is by the free imputation of Christ's righteousness.-8.. The elect cannot be condemned. They are non-sticky pans. Yes, they are sinners, but none is able to bring a charge against them. Why-- Because Christ already made good on their sin debt and it is God who justified them. It thus is impossible to reverse this decree. -9..Christ is risen and seated to make intercession for them as their advocate. That and more and it is free--Remember to pray for sister Kimberly Ault and Joie.. They are in a different season of their lives.
Text- 1Samuel 13 - 14-1..We are back to 1Sam again to continue from where we left off..-2..And we don't go anywhere, where we can't preach Christ...-3..I continue to contend that the scriptures do indeed testify of Christ and His work..-4..I also contend as the Lord taught that if God does not open the understanding one can not see how these stories in the Old Testament relate to Christ..-5..I contend that God didn't give the Old Testament stories so that we may do Moralistic teaching or a character assassination of these people as appealing these can be.. But rather that we may see the gospel preached through them..-6..Thus, we continue to develop our theology as God developed and built it around Saul... But in this his son Jonathan is introduced to us also a man of war and God gave a lot of detail to enable us to figure out what God was preaching through Jonathan..-7..Many sentimentalize Jonathan as they do Esther, Hannah, Ruth and other Bible characters and if they stop or end there, then know that one has entirely missed what God was teaching..-8..When you have a 7 part series on the goldy women of the bible, then I can tell you that Pastor has not been given understanding of these matters by God.-9..Saul carried a testimony and so did his son.. And unless the details relating to their lives are related to the New Testament revelation of Christ, they can't be preached alright.. -10..This is true of the whole Old Testament.. It must be interpreted through the lenses of the mystery that has now been made known..-And this is free...
Title- 1. All things work out for good, 2. God's eternal and sovereign decrees-- -- Text- Romans 8 vs 28-30--1. All things work out for good to those who love God.--2. But there is a context. What is the good that is in view----3. Who are these who love God and how do they begin to love Him----4. They are those who are called according to God's purpose.--5. But what is the calling-- Is it speaking of a gospel call or is speaking of something else----6. What is God's purpose-- And how does it fit in this matter of what God calls good----7. God in this gives us an eternal view of how we should understand even our present predicament in the light of His eternal decrees.--8. And it is because of God's absolute sovereignty in both the vanity of His creation and its redemption that is the basis of all things working out for good for His people.--9. Title- 1. The Holy Spirit work, 2. The Holy Spirit and security of salvation.--Text- John 16 vs 5-15, Romans 8---1. We continued on our Holy Spirit identity and work in the light of the gospel.--2. The Holy Spirit is God and is in some places called the Spirit of God or the Spirit of Christ.--3. He is not an -it- like some electromagnetic force. He is full deity.--4. Just like God the Father and Son, He also participated and participates in the salvation of God's people.--5. God has revealed Himself as the Triune God, Father, Son and Holy Spirit, but the Son being the center of that revelation. It is through the Son that we know God to be the Father and also to be our Father. But this truth does not come to a sinner apart from the Holy Spirit.--6. The Holy Spirit is the One who causes the elect to confess the truth as it is in Christ and testifies of those things that were freely given us by God in Christ.--7. But He wears many hats in this business. He has been given also as the seal, down payment -guarantee of the final redemption of the body of the redeemed. And this speaking to the eternal security of the redeemed, that they can't be unsealed and be lost to sin or anything.--8. The final redemption is not for the removal of sin guilt, but of the removal of the body of sin through the resurrection -glorification-.--9. This and more and it is FREE-
Sermon Title-s-- 1. BSGCC - 144 Mt Everest and God's suffering servant--Text- Isaiah 49 vs 1-11--1. The Lord Jesus spoke anticipatively of His coming and His work through the Prophet Isaiah and in fulfilment of Cyrus, who was a type of Christ.--2. He came as God's suffering, but Faithful Servant who had a mission and a message.--3. He was prophesied on the heels of Judah's captivity and promised restoration from their Babylonian captivity and the rebuilding of Jerusalem.--4. The suffering Servant spoke from verses 1-6 and spoke about His appearance, as being formed in the womb by God, speaking to the incarnation of the Lord Jesus.--5. But He came on a mission to restore Jacob back to God. In other words, the salvation of His sinful people, as was captured in the name of Jacob, the heel catcher, the transplanter.--6. God called His Servant, Israel and that to say, Christ Jesus, because Christ Jesus was to be and is everything ethnic Israel failed to be.--7. So, the mission of the Lord was defined ahead of His coming. To glorify God in the salvation and restoration of His people.--8. And with this we also touch the matter of the Law and sin. There is no captivity and salvation if there was never sin and Law working together. And that testimony we developed and tied it to Mt. Everest.--9. It is a long message, but it is NOTHING compared to hearing about Jesus in heaven for eternity. And this is free

The elect have been justified in Christ and that means they have been placed above condemnation.--2. And these are they walk according to the Spirit.--3. But their union with Christ is not just positively in their justification, but in suffering. They have been spared from condemnation, but not from suffering.--4. Suffering is part and parcel of the glory road, in the sharing of the sufferings of Christ.--5. The Holy Spirit has been given them who are justified to prove their sonship and God's promise of their future resurrection.-6. But the whole creation labors and groans in futility. It awaits its redemption in the revelation of the sons of God, those made children by God's election and redemption in Christ.--7. The creation was subjected to futility by God's decree, unwillingly, but with a bigger purpose of its redemption in Christ to the glory of God. Sin and its effects have to be understood through this lens of Romans 8 vs 20. --8. The redeemed have been given this understanding of the why of suffering in the context of their justification so that they do not despair in tribulations.--9. This and more and it is free-

Title-s-- 1. Put that on my account, 2. Begotten while in my chains, 3. The runaway sinners--1. God never tires from preaching the gospel.--2. The book of Philemon is a gospel letter. It is couched on the doctrines of God's salvation.--3. God determined to preach Christ again through this story of a run-away slave, Onesimus.--4. In his escape God caused Onesimus to stumble upon Paul in Rome where Paul was a prisoner.--5. And Paul still in chains preached the gospel to Philemon and as it were begotten him even as his son-own child.--6. And Paul sought to reconcile Onesimus back to his master, but using the testimony of the gospel to accomplish the reconciliation. And this is the PROPER WAY TO work Indicatives and imperatives. Commands to the redeemed should be drawn from the gospel. --7. Onesimus must be returned to his master not as a slave, but one who has the same standing as him and that UNCONDITIONALLY.--8. And Paul labored to say, if Onesimus owed anything to Philemon, Paul himself would make payment. Whatever was owed would be put to Paul's account, which means Paul became surety to Onesimus.--9. But in all the writing, Paul's point was gospel. If Philemon had been forgiven by God's grace, then he should also accept Philemon back unconditionally.--10. Paul was a type of Christ in this. And listen to the message to hear more gospel nuggets.--11. They are free.
Remove the filthy garments from him, 2. A filthy garment problem, 3. I have removed your iniquity from you, 4. The robes of vindication, 5. Iniquity removed in one day.--1. We continue to contend that the Old Testament is a testimony of the Lord Jesus and His work of salvation.--2. And where the Lord is found there must also be a gospel testimony to be gleaned.--3. And in this vision of Zechariah God came and preached the matter of the work of our Lord Jesus Christ in the justification of His people.--4. Again, with every message you will see there is a PRESSING for the unconditional nature of salvation through the work of the ONE MAN.--5. In this narrative, the gospel narrative was set in a court setting. WHY-- Because the gospel is a legal matter. Legal matter in that God is holy and righteous and any deviation from that is sin and it results in filthiness. --6. Thus, Joshua, the High Priest of Israel was seen wearing a filthy garment. A garment of unrighteousness and being accused of the Devil.--7. And in this court setting there was also the Angel of the Lord standing to defend Joshua.--8. The Angel of the Lord -the Lord Jesus Christ- used the doctrine of election as the grounds to not press charges or to dismiss the devil's otherwise true allegations of guilt. Those who hate election hate the gospel. --9. And the Angel of the Lord then ordered for a change of garments of Joshua-for him to be given clean garments-robes of vindication.--10. And He would continue to speak to how iniquity would finally be removed in one day- --11. Many wonderful gospel nuggets to glean-this is a BEREAN GOSPEL MESSAGE AND IT IS FREE-
Title-s-- Mrs. Potiphar and the gospel mystery, 2. How did Mrs. not get condemned, 3. The doctrine of imputation-the hall mark of God's gospel--1. The story of Joseph and Mrs. Potiphar is one of the most familiar albeit scandalous story of the Old Testament as is the story of David and Bathsheba.--2. Unfortunately, much of Christendom has not looked at this story and such scandalous stories as gospel testimonies. Instead, they have been used as treatises on moralism, which is far from the proper understanding of them.--3. I contend that God did not take time to record these stories for us to draw moralistic teaching. That would be a waste of words. This story bore witness to higher gospel truths of our salvation.--4. Unless Joseph is defined properly as a type of Christ then the whole things falls on the weight of moralism. --5. In the matter of the gospel, God was always teaching that salvation would come by a SPECIAL PERSON and through some legal transaction called IMPUTATION.--6. Imputation is the hallmark of the gospel transaction and one of the best-classic examples was dramatized in the story of this woman who had wandering eyes.--7. She had an eye for Joseph, but Joseph did not yield to her shenanigans. He was a righteous man, but only as a type of Christ.--8. And in the unfolding of the story Joseph got in trouble for something that he did not do and Mrs. Potiphar stayed home, a free woman- WONDERFFUL GOSPEL NUGGETS IN THIS.--9. And it is all freee-
The dream and its interpretation, 2. A strange thing that the king requires, 3. I have found a man from the captives of Judah.--1. We enter into another gospel instalment that I preached in Nairobi Kenya at Tassia.--2. We opened the Conference -Let these go their way Conference- with a message on God's righteousness from Romans 3.--3. And we continued to build and expand on the matter of what it is that God requires for the salvation of a sinner. And this is VERY IMPORTANT given the rampant conditionalism that is in the professing church world. --4. Many people have all kinds of ideas about what it is that God requires for the salvation of a sinner, but none of their ideas can answer what God requires to His satisfaction.--5. And this matter was preached in the story of Daniel when Judah was in captivity to the Babylonians.--6. God gave a dream to King Nebuchadnezzar, but a dream that he could not interpret. And it caused him many sleepless nights.--7. He sought to get the understanding of the dream from his magicicians, chaldeans, sorcerers etc -False preachers-, but they could not tell him the dream-because false preachers are clueless of God's message as He has given and interpreted it in Christ. They remarked that this was a STRANGE THING THAT THE KING WAS ASKING OF THEM-to tell the truth -dream-God's purpose- and then interpret it.--8. It was a strange that none had ever asked, essentially, in the history of mankind. And God's point being that the matter of Christ and what He requires for the salvation of a sinner is a STRANGE THING. None born of a woman have heard of such. --9. But king Nebuchadnezzar did not just ask for the dream and its interpretation.
Message Title- Let these go their way--1. The Lord Jesus was getting ready to be crucified and as He was taken to trial He continued to preach the gospel.--2. Apostle John preached the same theology that Paul expounded but in story form.--3. As Jesus was arrested, He said to the soldiers, if they were taking Him, then -these- his disciples should be set free-LET THESE GO THEIR WAY.--4. And that was one of the best gospel words that have been uttered in the bible. Jesus was saying, if He is taken, taken to die, He was to die as the substitute of His people and the immediate result of that was the justification of His people.--5. And if He is taken, then by definition, those who belonged to Him and were in union with Him could not be taken into the same condemnation that He was about to experience.--6. In other words, once Jesus is taken to take their place, then all those in Him would be justified from their condemnation.--7. Those of the soldiers and officers from the chief priests -THE LAW- represented the power of the Law. It is the Law that apprehended Jesus. But Jesus having power over the Law commanded that His people should be set free.--8. And this testimony did not end there. Jesus continued to preach the same with Barabbas. Jesus as the Passover Lamb died in the place of Barabbas and that is how Barabbas was set free. It was not Pilate or the Jews who set Barabbas free. A sinner cannot set free another in the matter of condemnation.--9. This is a most wonderful gospel message. AND IT IS FREE-
Message Titles- 1. All under sin, 2. God's righteousness revealed, 3. Boasting excluded, 4, What then----1. We opened our first Nairobi, Kenya conference at Tassia with a gospel teaching from Romans 3.--2. Romans 3 has a ton of gospel nuggets that must be taught, understood, declared, believed.--3. The gospel of God is the gospel of Jesus Christ.--4. The gospel of God reveals man's problem, sickness as sin and leaves everyone in the same predicament of unrighteousness and hopelessness -everyone has fallen short of the goal-which is righteousness-. All born of Adam have miserably failed to finish the race of righteousness of their own account. -5. And in this state, there is no way out. Moralism cannot deliver such a sinner, nor does the Law and this according to God's purpose that ALL MOUTHS MAY STOPPED-SHUT UP FROM BOASTING.-6. The only way of salvation to them who seek not after God, who have become unprofitable is by God's revealed righteousness freely imputed.--7. And this righteousness of God has been testified of the Law and the Prophets.--8. And that means Christ Jesus is the testimony of the whole Law and the Prophets. The Christ who is the Hilasterion -propitiation-mercy seat- for all the redeemed that by Him God may be just and the justifier of them who come to Him by Christ Jesus. --9. And this righteousness is APART FROM THE LAW and that means it not attained to-possessed by one's doing of the Law or obedience of any kind.--10. IT is a righteousness which is by the FAITH-FAITHFULNESS OF CHRIST JESUS-the righteousness of another.--11. And that tells us that the FAITH OF SALVATION IS not the faith of the sinner. It is the faith of Christ Jesus as He accomplished

Who shall deliver me from this body of death.-SERMON NOTES---1. Sin and Law work together to always produce death..--2.Sin creates a situation in which one wills-desires to do good, but they see evil present in the good they will to do..--3.Sin is intrinsic to the nature of being of all born in Adam.. And it brings one into an INESCAPBLE captivity.--4..A captivity from which one needs to be set free.. AND THAT NOT BY A SET OF RULES, OF DOS AND DONTS.--5..Paul's conclusion of himself was, -I wretched man that I am, who shall deliver me from this body of death-- -..A STATEMENT OF DESPAIR and that was Paul's point to demonstrate to the -Law keepers- that they had no hope in Law, but in His gospel.. --6..The sinner is a wretched man or woman, who have no power to set themselves free.--7..They need a WHO person to come and set them free...--8.AND Paul found his who person-- Who is your deliverance from the wretchedness of your sin---THIS IS FREE-
Today's gospel instalment- 09-03-2023-Text- Romans 7 vs 13-20--Title-s-- 1. The Law cannot save, 2. The Law can not help with sin. 3. The power of sin is the Law, 4. Law plus sin is death. --1. The redeemed have legally died to the Law by Christ's death that they may be married to Him.--2. Under the Law none can bear any acceptable fruit to God, but only fruit to death -condemnation-. --3. But why then the Law-- How does the Law fit into the whole matter, if it does not cause salvation----4. We know that the wages of sin is death. But what about the Law-- The Law works with sin to produce death. But does that not make the Law sin----5. No, the Law is good, holy and righteous. But it was not given to help with sin as in stopping sin or making sinners righteous.--6. What then-- The Law was given to discover, expose and amplify sin and to produce death and condemnation.--7. This is the rightful use of the Law as God intended it. And one must be translated out of this relationship of sin and death by Christ Jesus through His death-the matter which the gospel declares.--8. So, God gave the Law that sin may be made more sinful-to AMPLIFY IT. --9. And Paul discovered that the Law which was supposed to give life, actually brought death to him.--10. Why-- Because of the sin that it discovered and exposed. Indwelling sin is opposed to all righteousness. It indwells the flesh and cannot work with the Law to any positive thing. --11. So, Paul discovered that what he willed to do, the very good things, he did not practice and found himself in this hopeless conundrum, a death spiral. --12. Today's gospel instalment- 08-27-2023-Text- Romans 7 vs 7-12-Title- 1. Is the Law sin-- 2..Sin's advantage is the Law-1..Given what Paul has taught about salvation and righteousness and the believer's relationship to the Law, there has to be objections to be anticipated and to be answered especially from the camp of the -law keepers-..-2..The law -keeper- doesn't understand the function or purpose of the Law..They have used the Law wrongly to make it for establishing righteousness for themselves..-3..They haven't understood that righteousness is of God and is freely imputed apart from the works of the Law.-4..Paul has said, the Law bore fruit unto death because of sin...-5..And now he has to defend that statement and expound the relationship between Law and sin and it is not what many people think abt the Law.-6..The Law sin is the natural reaction-conclusion of many people who are thinking Law as Paul has presented in Romans 7 vs 5 and this from their minds that are NOT enlightened by the gospel understanding-- They would come to this wrong conclusion, that equates sin and Law.-7..But Paul said , may it never be, that is not how this thing works..Law is not sin, but it works with sin always ..The Law discovers , revives sin and brings about death..Sin and Law equals death..-8..Sin deceives many to think that they can do the Law, only to discover that the Law brings not life, but death..-9..So, sin takes advantage of the goodness of the Law to deceive them that eternal life and righteousness can be attained by human obedience to the Law..-10..The Law is holy, the commandment Holy, righteous and good and THAT IS THE PROBLEM for the sinner..The goodness of the Law brings bad
The certificate of Divorce and Romans 7 connection .-Text-s-- 1..Romans 7 vs 1-7 and Matt 19 vs 1-11-1..We will continue to declare from the scriptures that Law and Gospel AREN'T the same thing. They can't be yoked together and still remain with the TRUTH..-2..To get the gospel correct , a DISTINCTION must be made between Law and Gospel..And for me this is a hill to die on..-3..This distinction God has repeatedly labored to demonstrate and teach from all scriptures -Old and New-, which thing I will demonstrate as always...-4..God has taught this truth in DIVERSE MANNERS and WAYS, and many, unfortunately, for lack of understanding of spiritual truths have appropriated a lot of marriage things to themselves and missed the GREATER TESTIMONY OF THE GOSPEL..-5..The substance of marriage is not human marriages and is not found in human marriages..-6..Human marriages like the LAW only contain the shadow of GOOD things , but NOT THE REALITY ..-7..The REALITY is found in Christ in whom ALL THINGS HOLD.. In heaven the church is married to Christ and yet all other marriages will be abolished, because ONLY THE SUBSTANCE REMAINS...-8..So, divorce is not just about human sin..IT IS PART AND PARCEL OF PREACHING CHRIST..The Gospel is an offensive message and by God's grace I will keep pressing for this offense to God's glory...-THIS IS FREE ....
Text- Romans 7 vs 1-6-1..Back to Romans 7 to pick up Paul's arguments on the Law, a matter that was needful to be understood then as it is now..-2..Paul said sin shall not have dominion on you because you are not under law but grace..-3..That means law brings dominion of sin as to condemn , but grace doesn't and the two -Law and g race- are INCOMPATIBLE..-4..Paul opens Romans 7 to expand on why this is so...And he says it is about how God has accomplished the matter by Christ Jesus..-5..The redeemed relate to Law differently than the unredeemed ...The redeemed died to their marriage to the former husband..-6..But who was the former husband-- It was the oldness of the letter , the Law..-7..The Law, the flesh, sin work together to produce fruit unto death..-8..But how was the marriage to the Law dissolved-- It was by the death of Christ....The death of Christ accomplished many things, one of which was the change of husbands...with the church being married to Him in His resurrection..-9..The church now serves God and bears fruit unto God in the newness of the Spirit...-10..And with this new husband, the church must remain, for going back to Moses is to commit adultery and a serious violation of the new marriage...-11..This and more and IT IS FREE...

Sermon Title- 1..Tish's donkeys lost,-1..Remember , Israel has rejected God and they want a king like their neighbors.-2..But God said, this is what your new king is going to be like...VERY ABUSIVE and will leave you BANKRUPT.-3..And that as a gospel testimony of what the Law was given to do as a ruler of sinners...The Law will not make a sinner rich-perish the thought..Rather it puts burdens on them to make them poor...-4.And God will not hear the testimony of righteousness from anyone who has rejected the righteousness of Christ for their own obedience..-5..But God must keep preaching and so, Saul was introduced to us in the context of Israel's rejection of God and in the missing of the donkeys.-6..Saul is dispatched to look for the donkeys and in this the identity of Saul is fleshed out for us. But is Saul how lost donkeys are recovered-- You must tune in to hear the gospel message..-7..IT IS A BEREAN MESSAGE and a blessing to those who have ears to hear ..-And it is free...
Title-s-- 1. Israel rejects God. 2. The Law is a yoke and of slavery, 3. Who was the king that Israel chose to be under-- 4. What was the gospel testimony of them of rejecting God and having their own king----1. The Old Testament continues to bear witness of the same story of Law and grace even in the stories where this is not expressly said, but it is there to be found with a proper Christ and gospel centered hermeneutic.--2. Israel has had prosperity and freedom under Samuel. God defeated the Philistines for them by way of the sacrifice at Mizpah.--3. But after Samuel was old and his sons were not qualified to take over from him because of their corruption, the people of Israel demanded to have a king like other nations.--4. God did not take that well. He said this was a REJECTION OF HIM. A rejection of His rule. A rejection of grace, because God ultimately deals with His people by His grace.--5. But the people insisted on having a king. But God said this king would be horrible for them. He would use and abuse them, impoverish them and make them his servants.--6. And they would later cry out and God would not hear them and that to say this king would be very terrible for them.--7. And that king was Saul and that means SAUL WAS A PICTURE OF THE LAW. And God preached the misery of the Law through the kingship of Saul, that the Law is not of freedom, but of bondage. --8. And this is contrary to many who still think they can use the Law to further their progress in sanctification -progressive righteousness-. The redeemed are ALREADY PERFECT IN CHRIST. --9. A rejection of God by Israel was a rejection of Christ. And any who have rejected grace will only deal with the Law and G
Today's gospel instalment- 07-02-2023--Sermon Title- 1. Ebenezer, 2. The Philistines have been defeated--Text- 1Samuel 7--1. The gospel is simple, but has many moving parts-that is what we declare over and over.--2. God told the story of Christ in the capture of the ark-and with it the end of the Law.--3. The ark was captured by the Philistines and it got them a lot of trouble -sickness and death-.--4. Atonement had to be made by something that God approved -a sinless sacrifice-trespass sacrifice carried by two cows that had never been yoked -Christ not yoked with sin, golden tumors and mice -no pestilence-no sin-a picture of the sinless Christ and on a new cart-Christ Jesus-body prepared without sin-a body not of this creation-. --5. But after peace had been established Samuel gathered Israel at Mizpah and they confessed their sins to God.--6. But at the same time the Philistines had an incursion on them to attack and destroy them. Israel cried out to Samuel to intercede for them to God.--7. Samuel offered a suckling lamb as a burnt offering and the Philistines were defeated.--8. The Philistines represent the testimony of sin. Sin cannot be overcome by resolutions. It can only be defeated by the mediator of a God appointed high priest -Christ Jesus and the offering of Himself-.--9. So, all of God's people say-EBENEZER-this far God has helped us. And we expounded more on this-a wonderful gospel testimony this is. And it is free.
Today's gospel instalment- 06-25-2023--Sermon Title- God's solution to the ark problem--Text- 1samuel 6--1. The ark was among the Philistines territory and it was causing mayhem. It was getting a lot of people killed and many others afflicted by pestilence.--2. And that to say-the ark contained something that was killing them and that means the two tablets of stone-the letter that kills-engraved on stones-the Ten Commnandments.--3. And where Tablets of Stone meet sinners they kill-because the Law is the ministry of death and condemnation.--4. So, what shall be done with the ark-- Who shall remove the curse, the pestilence, the condemnation that it has brought on the people----5. The Ark must be returned to the God of Israel. But it won't go back EMPTY. That is very important. The Law of God will not go back to Him unfulfilled, unsatisfied, otherwise the killing will not stop.--6. So, God sovereignly spoke to the priests of the Philistines and gave them a solution that was agreeable with Him.--7. They had to accompany the ark of covenant with a trespass offering. In other words, there had to be a sin offering for the curse to be removed.-8. The ark and the golden mice and tumors were carried on a new cart, drawn by two cows that had never been yoked. And that means Christ Jesus -new cart-a body-YOU HAVE PREPARED FOR ME -incarnation of Christ and Holy Spirit conception--a body without-never yoked with sin-must carry the ark back to God.-
Message- The problem with the ark-Text- 1 Samuel 5-1..The Covenant of the Law -Moses , Mt Sinai- was destined to come to an end.-2..It is not a New Testament teaching..Even the Old Testament taught it in diverse ways.-3..The Law anticipated its own retirement and succession by something greater and better.-4..God taught and rehearsed this truth by the story of Eli and his family...He killed them, but promised to raise a better and higher faithful priest ..-5..In other words, the Lord Jesus is God's preferred Priest and higher Law giver -Moses being inferior-.-6..The death of Eli 's sons happened on the battlefield fighting the Philistines.-7..The Ark was captured and that caused a cascade of events -death of Eli and his daughter in law-..-8...The Philistines took the ark and brought it to their territory , to their idol , Dagon as a spoil of war..-9.The Ark began to cause trouble, first for Dagon and then for the Philistines...-10..It started killing people with pestilence..But what was in the Ark that was killing people---11..It is the Law, the 2 tablets of stone...the Ten Commandments , the letter that kills...-12..Listen for context...It is FREE-
Today's gospel instalment- 06-12-2023--Text- John 8 vs 1-11--Sermon Title- 1. What sayest thou-- 2. Where are thine accusers-- 3. Neither do I condemn thee-Preached at Mt Zion Missionary Baptist church, TN--1. The story of the woman caught in adultery is a familiar story, but do people understand the gospel testimony in it----2. The woman was caught in the very act of sin and brought to Jesus to make a pronouncement on her. -The Larger point being, the Law was a school master to Christ-. --3. The Law had already judged her, she was supposed to be stoned to death, that is condemned.--4. So, essentially, she was on death row.--5. But how shall such a one escape death-- She must be brought to Jesus, God brought her to Jesus through her sin and the Law.--6. And if Jesus should set her free -justify- it means Jesus is greater than Moses, grace greater than Law.--7. The Scribes and Pharisees sought to incriminate Jesus by this presentation, testing to see if He had greater authority than the Law.--8. If Jesus was equal to the Law, the woman would be condemned. If Jesus was less than the Law, the woman would be condemned.--9. The only way she could not be condemned was by Jesus not imputing her sins to her. And that means justify her, and that means grace is greater than Law, because Law does not acquit a sinner of its own. --10. The woman was elect. Jesus pronounced her justification -neither do I condemn thee, an INDICATIVE- a declaration of her standing before God- before He issued the IMPERATIVE, to Go, and sin no more. The imperative is given to those that are justified. None is justified by doing an imperative. The ordering is very important.--11. Many in the professing church
Today's gospel instalment- 06-04-2023--Sermon Title- Freed from sin - Enslaved to God--Text- Romans 6 vs 15-23--1. The redeemed, the elect have a different relation to sin than everyone else.--2. Sin brings under death and condemnation.--3. Sin is a master and has its own wages-payout.--4. Sin works with law to produce death and that is its payout. And it is not just death, but condemnation in Hell. --5. The redeemed have been freed from sin as a master.--6. This does not mean they do not sin anymore.--7. It means by Christ's obedience-His death the elect have been removed from the power of sin as their master, especially in what it gives as wages.--8. Everyone is in obedience to something, a slave of someone or something and that means there is none NUETRAL and no so called, human free-will.--9. One who is in Adam is under sin and its power to condemn, they are still under the Law and the end of it is death.--10. Then three is another obedience, to a different Master, Jesus Christ. This is obedience of faith, the obedience of Christ's righteousness, because it ALONE BRINGS justification and eternal life.--11. The obedience of faith is the obedience of the gospel. And this is in contrast to the obedience of sin and obedience to the Law. Obedience to Law does not bring salvation to a sinner. --12. God never intended to bring eternal life by our own obedience. So, the obedience that leads to sanctification and eternal life is another way to say Christ Jesus.--13. Eternal life is not given based on the sinner's -progress- in sanctification. That would be a works gospel and contrary to God's free and sovereign grace. None can progressive enough to be awarded eternal life.
sermonaudio.com-sermon-529231649374373--Today's gospel instalment- 05-28-2023--Title- 1. Sin lost dominion because of grace, 2. Shall we sin more because of grace----Text- ROMANS 6 Vs 10-17--1. Shall we sin the more that grace may increase-- May it never be- --2. But there is more to that than just an exhortation or command. --3. Let us unpack it. The redeemed have a relationship that has been established for them in and by Christ. They are and were united to Him in His death, His baptism on the cross-which means redeemed-justified-perfected. --4. And God's gracious election is what put them in Christ, chosen in Christ before the foundation of the world.--5. The redeemed need to know how they relate to sin and to Christ as God has spoken because that is what informs their walk.--6. The instructions on the believer's walk are informed by WHO GOD HAS ALREADY MADE THEM IN CHRIST. --7. There is no walk good enough to earn anyone anything from God, especially that which God has ALREADY GIVEN BY GRACE ALONE..
Title- 1. Died with Christ, 2. Reckon yourselves as dead to sin. --Text- Romans 6 vs 1-11--1. Paul came and said-shall we continue in sin that grace may increase----2. And he said, God forbid, but he did not make a blank or naked statement.--3. HE worked through the theological points-gospel points of his exhortation.--4. He said, the believer died, resurrected with Christ.--5. And in this they were crucified to sin's power, the body of sin crucified, the old man dead.--6. The old man was what the believer was as they stood in Adam -Sin, death and condemnation-.--7. Sin has no more dominion and power to condemn because of the cross.--8. Thus, the redeemed are to reckon themselves as dead to sin in Christ.--9. Lots of wonderful gospel nuggets to glean-..--10. And they are FREE-
Sermon Title -s-- 1.Shall we continue in sin that grace may abound..-- 2..Died to sin. 3..Old Man crucified --1. Apostle Paul has labored to declare the believer's standing before through God's grace that is in the redemption in-by Christ Jesus.--2. The believer has been reconciled, justified and have peace with God.--3. But Paul has also said, where sin abounded grace did much more abound. And that was a theological fact that God's grace would always go above even the worst of sins.--4. And this message that Paul preached was incredibly radical. Telling sinners that God's grace always overflows above any sin and that they are justified from all sins is no ordinary message.--5. The natural fleshly reaction to that message was to say-let us then sin the more than grace may continue to increase.--6. But Paul said, that is not the proper understanding of God's message. Grace is not another opportunity to increase sin. --7. Yet Paul was not saying the redeemed do not sin anymore in their walk. He was saying, the redeemed cannot abuse the message of their free justification to justify to do more foolishness.--8. But in asking this question, Paul ended up working more of the gospel than the instruction not to sin -died to sin, old man crucified, freed from sin-.--9. WHY-- Because Paul did not ever give imperatives that were NOT PROPERLY GROUNDED IN THE INDICATIVES -that is, in what Christ had accomplished-. Pauline imperatives are never naked, they are always clothed with the reality of the sinner's free justification before God.
Today's gospel stream- 04-30-2023.-Title-s- --1. Death reigned from Adam through Moses.-2..Apart from the Law sin is dead -there is no imputation of it -.-3..Adam the cornerstone of sin, death and condemnation..-Text- Romans 5 vs 12 to 14..-1..Adam must be understood and believed upon if one is to understand and believe in Christ..-2..Adam and Christ are the only important people, but for a different testimony ...-3..Adam brought the side A of things that has caused all of humanity a lot of problems, especially with God. -4..He brought sin, death and condemnation.. This is a trio that moves together.. -5..It is not that Adam had bad parents... No, he was made of God,but as the man of the dust.. The man of dust no matter how seemingly good is still flesh and blood and have no natural title to heavenly things. -6..Adam must be reversed for the elect, on the Side B of the transaction.. And there is only one who was fit for that reversal of things, but not in a reactionary way.. Jesus was not given on second opinion.. It is Jesus who drove Adam, not the other way.. -7..It was Christ Jesus standing on behalf of the elect.. Jesus didn't reverse sin and its effects for all men -gospel truth- . -8..Adam and Eve had to sin... Their sin was a necessary ingredient in the recipe of the unfolding of God's eternal purpose in Christ... -And it is free..
Message title-s- --1. Sin and death IN Adam Pt 3. -2..The woman whom you gave me. 3...The glory of Christ in Adam.-Text - Romans 5 vs 13 and Genesis 3...-1. To understand Adam one must understand Christ and Christ is also understood when one understands Adam better.. -2..Many are fixated with the sin and death that Adam brought and miss much of the gospel testimonies in the story of Adam.. -3..The gospel is in the details, in the ordering of things.. -4..Adam was just not representative of Himself and those after him in respect of sin... He also was a type of Christ, a type of Him who was to come as Paul said in Romans 5..-5..Eve was a type of the bride of Christ, the church... That is why she is said to have been and transgressed... -6..She was a type of the church as she was formed from the picture of the death and resurrection of Adam... -7..She was a type of the church because after she as formed by God's own doing she was brought and introduced to her husband.. -7.Eve was also a type of Christ, as the mother of all the -living- , as was Sarah was the mother of all the free. -8..She was a type of Christ in that she would give birth to children through pain and sorrow... -9...Lots of gospel nuggets to glean, but you must hear for yourself...
Today's Gospel instalment- 04-16-2023--Message Title- Sin and Death in Adam Pt 2--Text -s-- Romans 5 vs 12, Gen 2 - 3--1. In Pt 2 of Sin and Adam we revisited the gospel testimony as God was preaching it through Adam.--2. We developed the theological understanding of God's ETERNAL PURPOSE in CHRIST - EPH 3-as the bedrock of all understanding of things GOD, things CHRIST, things SALVATION.--3. Unless the eternal purpose of God in Christ is understood as the overarching theme of God's glory then much will be said about the gospel that is not the gospel. --4. Having established that we had a sure basis-foundation to unravel the story of Adam and sin. Essentially, if Christ was God's plan A -according to His eternal purpose-, then what happened afterwards was just the UNFOLDING of that purpose. --5. And the IMPLICATION being that the sin of Adam was God's plan A -SIN WAS ALWAYS PART OF GOD'S RECIPE IN THE GLORY OF CHRIST-, as the salvation of the elect was PLAN A contained in God's eternal purpose to be glorified in the redemption-justification-reconciliation of His chosen through Christ.--6. Thus, the story of Adam DEMANDS a proper Christological hermeneutic to unravel it to God's glory, otherwise, it becomes moralistic. --7. The commandment that was given Adam about the tree was layered- To bring the knowledge of sin to Adam and Eve and also, as the ultimate judgment that would come upon Christ because of our sins-YOU SHALL SURELY DIE. Adam must die because of the condemnation of sin and Christ must die because of the same, but to reverse the sin, death and condemnation that came by way of Adam.--8. Too many gospel nuggets to glean-AND THEY ARE FREE
Title- Death in Adam Pt 1.-Text- Romans 5 vs 12-14-1..The APOSTLE has labored in the matter of justification of a sinner and the benefits that flow from that reality in the present experience of suffering and tribulations.. -2..He has taught that through and in Christ the sinner has been granted access to God's grace, which gave them a righteous STANDING -JUSTIFICATION- .. -3..All matters of salvation are WRAPPED UP in the One MAN -JESUS CHRIST- .. -4..But how did the redeemed come to need redemption-- How did they become ungodly, weak, sinners and enemies of God---5..It all came through another man, the one man , Adam.. -6..Through Adam sin entered the world and with it death.. And that to say, death is God's judgment of sin. -7..But God did a seemingly odd thing in that death spread to all, even those who didn't sin in the likeness of Adam.. -8..How is that possible-- Was-is that a LEGITIMATE transaction-- How did God do that-- -9..It happened by the LEGAL PRINCIPLE OF IMPUTATION... Adam was raised as a representative of all humanity.... Not to give life to them, but to bring about death with a view to salvation in another one Man, Christ Jesus.. -10..Lots of nuggets and they are free... HAPPY RESURRECTION... THE LORD IS NOT HERE.. Today's gospel instalment- 04-02-2023-Message Title -s- - 1. Ichabod, the glory has departed, 2..The Ark of God has been captured, 3. The death of Eli and his family-1..The more gospel details the Lord opens, the clearer the text becomes..-2..The story of Eli and his family was a gospel testimony..-3..Eli's family were from the house of Levi, that is, they were a priestly family..-4.. Levi's house mediated the Law and its institutions..-5..But this only for an appointed time as God was moving the needle of time in the revelation of Jesus Christ..-6..The Law and its priesthood were insufficient, incapable, thus unprofitable to a sinner, because it couldnot perfect them before God..-7..The Law is the system of Do THIS , DON'T DO THAT and do it all to PERFECTION and you shall live, or else you are condemned.. -8... And being condemned it didn't have qualified priests or sacrifices to redeem a sinner, then and now.. -9. THUS IT HAD TO BE TAKEN AWAY.. And that is what many religious people struggle with... They don't want the Law to be taken away because they still have not understood what God is saying about what the Law requires. -10..Many professing Christians still have a judaistic approach to the Law, which misses or downplays the SUFFICIENCY OF CHRIST ALONE.. -11..The Judaizer can't imagine a person being made complete -Holy and righteous- in another person without putting them under some moralism of the Mosaic Law. Paul called that ANOTHER GOSPEL, which is no gospel.. -12..But we learn in this message that the house of Eli -the house of Levi, the Law- must come to and end... -13. HENCE THE DEATH OF ELI AND HIS HOUSE IN ONE DAY, in the day that the Ark of God was captur
1..Many professing Christians say the Law of Moses -Mt Sinai, the Ten Commandments- are the rule of life for the redeemed..-2..But this not correct... If the Law is the believer's rule of life then Levi -Moses and Aaron- are their mediators before God and good luck.. -3..Levi is not the mediator of the New Testament... Similarly, Christ Jesus is not the mediator of Mt Sinai, the Law. -3..Christ Jesus came to establish His own Covenant as its priesthood by fulfillment and displacement of Moses.. -4..Consequently, Christ is the rule of life of the redeemed. -5..The Old Testament preached this in many different ways.. The OT anticipated the death of the Old Covenant because of its weakness .. -6..And this is the gospel subject of Eli and his sons... They were priests of the Most High God and their failure and end was anticipating and preaching that the Law made nothing perfect and thus had an EXPIRATION DATE.. -7..IF there is no conversation of the death of the Law to the redeemed, you ARE NOT HEARING THE GOSPEL.. -8. Those who don't get it, will tell you it is an anti-nomian -anti-Law- idea... But it is because they have a gospel problem, a Jesus problem and a Paul problem, they are yet to be taught of God.. -9..This is free...
Today's Gospel 03-05-2023--Sermon Title -s-- 1. No old man in the house, 2. The sins and failure of the Law's priesthood, 3. The Priesthood of the Law's weaknesses.--1. We continued with the gospel testimony in the OT from the story of Hannah, Eli and his sons.--2. We contend as always that these stories are gospel recordings that are only properly understood when viewed from the New Testament.--3. So, the testimony of Eli and his corrupt sons was enlarged -expanded-.--4. The sons of Eli were priests because they were Levites and in their corruption is revealed the weakness of the Law's Priesthood and its covenant.--5. IT -the Law- caused God's people to transgress and that as testimony of the New Testament teaching that the power of sin is in the Law.--6. But God did not stop there. He came and pronounced a judgment on Eli and his father's house, that is, Levi, and that is the whole Covenant of the Law because Levites were mediators of that covenant which made NOTHING PERFECT.--7. He said, in the days to come -the days of Christ- there shall not be found an old man -Old Covenant- in the house of Eli -Levi- and that signaling the end of the Law.--8. The Old Testament always anticipated the end of the Law. But the end of the Law does not just happen. It happens when God has appointed another priest, a faithful priest who knows God's heart and mind and does God's will to perfection, the Lord Jesus.--9. That and more and it is FREE-
Title- Rom - 24 Died for the ungodly-Text- Romans 5 vs 6-11-1..The summary of all sinners as God sees things-Without Strength, Ungodly, Sinners and Enemies.--2..And in that state none can claim to have come or figured Jesus out by themselves..-3..But this is what God has done to demonstrate His love towards us -the elect-..-4..In due time -the right time- Christ died for us... Jesus died for -hyper- on behalf of, in the place of those weak and unrighteous sinners..-5..The implication is that these very sinners have been delivered from the consequences of their sins...-6..God has justified them by the blood of the cross... And being justified they shall be saved from the eschatological wrath to come..-7..So, the redeemed ought to rejoice in God through Christ through whom we have received the reconciliation...-And this is free..
Message- Old Testament Gospel Hermeneutics-Text- 2Samuel 11 and 12, Genesis 39.-1..Jesus gave us the hermeneutics to read the Old Testament..-2..He said Lo, in the scroll of the book it is written about Me..-3..He said, the scriptures testify of Me.. -John 5 vs 39-.-4..Many professing Christians are still blighted by moralistic teaching..-5..Much of the Old Testament teaching that you hear is moralistic... It is NOT GOSPEL..-6..It is not gospel because a wrong hermeneutic is being used and also, people love these moralistic teachings..-7..There is nothing wrong with being moral.. It should be encouraged, but it is not the righteousness of the gospel..-8.. But God's message is much higher that our moralism and obedience.. -9..So, we tackled the story of David and Bathsheba and divided it as a gospel message that is profitable and makes one wise unto salvation.. -10..And I believe the Lord was kind to give me understanding to share about this matter.. -It is a wonderful gospel message, and it will offend many, but it is free and I won't apologize for seeing the gospel in these stories...
Today's Gospel instalment- 02-12-2023--Message Title- The Christology of Hannah's Prayer--Text- 1Samuel 2 vs 1-10--1. It is no farce or exaggeration to say the Old Testament does bear witness of Christ.--2. We continued to develop the gospel testimony through the story of Hannah and Peninnah.--3. We observed that the two women represented the testimony of two covenants as Sarah and Hagar before them.--4. And as with Sarah, Hannah's womb was restrained by God from having a child, a God imposed inconvenience that brought a lot of sorrow and suffering to her, especially by the taunting of her rival, Peninnah.--5. Peninnah who carried the testimony of Hagar, the testimony of the mocking of the Law of those who are the children of promise.--6. But God answered Hannah's prayer and granted her a son, Samuel, who was to be raised as a Nazarite and dedicated to God.--7. Samuel had an unusual priesthood in that it violated the stipulations of the Levitical Priesthood which started at age 25 and ended at 50 -Numbers 8 vs 23-26-. And yet, Samuel was committed to the LORD all his life proleptically looking to the eternal priesthood of Christ Jesus.--8. But Hannah later had a hymn of praise to God in which she blessed Him for removing the reproach from her.--9. She spoke many things in her prayer that we expounded and related them to the Lord Jesus Chris and the gospel-hence the title-the Christology of Hannah's prayer. --10. Today's Gospel instalment- 02-05-2023--Title-s- - 1 Introduction to 1Samuel, 2..Hannah the Barren One gives birth, 3..The Beloved Barren One.--Text- 1SAMUEL 1--1..The Old Testament bears a lot of gospel testimony and has an inexorable amount of nuggets. --2..In the story of the birth of Samuel we are given testimony of the Law and gospel and their relationship.. --3..Elkanah had 2 wives, one with children and the other made Barren by God for a gospel testimony.. --4..And this was not a new thing, as it was a rehearsal of what happened prior with Sarah and Hagar, even Leah and Rachel.. --5..Hannah prayed out of her anguish and sorrowful Ness of spirit for a Male Son who would be dedicated all his life to the service of God -a Nazarite-. --6..The petition was granted and Samuel was born.. --7..Samuel was given to Eli to minister to the Lord as soon as he was weaned.. --8..And that vow would have been contrary to the stipulations in the levitical priesthood about the age and how long one was eligible to serve.. -9..So, if he serves, it had to be in contradiction to the Law of Priests, but for a gospel testimony, which we expounded... --Many gospel nuggets to glean.. -And they are free...
Today's Gospel installment- 01-29-2023.-Title- Benefits of justification-Text- Romans 5 vs 1 - 3-1..Between chapters 1 to 4 Romans Paul has labored the gospel..-2..His gospel is justification by the free IMPUTATION of righteousness of God which is by the faithfulness of Christ Jesus.-3..His death being the focus of the accomplishment of that righteousness..-4..So, Paul Has ruled out any notions that righteousness could come by any obedience by those born in Adam..-5..Having labored the matter, he turns his pen to the now of that justification---6..And he says justification even though is past because of the cross has benefits here in this life and in the participation of Christ's future glory..-7.. In this life it helps the redeemed in facing the tribulations and all the frustrating things that this life and flesh brings..-8..Listen to the message for more exposition... AND IT IS FREE-
Today's gospel instalment- 1-22-2023--TITLE- 1. FULLY CONVINCED, 2. WRITTEN FOR OUR SAKE--Text- Romans 4 vs 13-25--1. -Closing- Romans 4, but it does spill over into Romans 5 as Paul continued to make His case of IMPUTATION and RIGHTEOUSNESS APART FROM THE LAW.--2. God developed the testimony of Abraham as an exhibit of how He would deal with all His elect in the matter of salvation -inheritance, righteousness, promise-.--3. Paul argued the principle and person by which this would happen. He said, God transacts all matters of blessing exclusively through the Promise -Salvation through Christ-.--4. And in this Christ, there is ground and given the righteousness of God. The righteousness that is consistent with promise -Grace-.--5. He also called that righteousness, the righteousness of faith. In other words, the righteousness that is apart from Law -human obedience-. Our faith is not the righteousness, but looks to the righteousness of the faithful Christ. --6. The righteousness of faith is the righteousness of DOING NOTHING, but of RESTING in the ONE WHO ACCOMPLISHED.--7. And central to this transaction is the doctrine of IMPUTATION. Imputation is a reckoning or crediting of something to another person.--8. It does not involve a material change, but rather a legal accounting, such that our sins were legally reckoned to Christ and His righteousness freely accounted to us. So, Christians are still sinful people, even the best of them are sinners, but all possess the same righteousness IMPUTED. --9. Apart from IMPUTATION there is no legal grounds to justify a sinner, because they could never attain to that righteousness by which God is pleased or satisfied -propitiated-.--10
Sermon Title- 1. Sarah's womb and regeneration--Text- Gen 18 vs 9-15--1. There are many traditions surrounding the matter of how a sinner is quickened and made spiritually alive to receive the gospel testimony.--2. To understand regeneration, we must understand what God says about the nature of men after Adam.--3. God says, we are all born spiritually dead in trespasses and sins.--4. The question then is how do the elect come out of that----5. Is this something that is the hands of men to do or help even with gospel preaching----6. Some say regeneration happens by water baptism and yet others say by gospel preaching.--7. But I contend that both are not true. There is no amount of water baptism or gospel preaching that can impart spiritual life to a sinner. Israel of old were under the gospel for thousands of years and yet remained unregenerate. - -8. Regeneration happens then ONLY by the Divine Command that is by the Lord Jesus Christ.--9. It is He alone who has the power and the prerogative to give spiritual life to as many as were given Him.--10. That and more and it is free-
Today's gospel instalment- 01-01-2023--Sermon Title- 1. These Egyptians you shall see no more, 2. Israel saw the Egyptians dead, 3. The Egyptians are dead.--Text- Exodus 14.--1. God preached the gospel of salvation through Israel's experience in Egypt.--2. There could not be gospel preaching in that experience if there was no testimony of sin and Law and their effects.--3. And where there is salvation there must needs be a fulfilment of Law. --4. Even in the shadows God anticipated the final putting away of sin, Law and condemnation in the appearance of God's Lamb, the Lord Jesus Christ.--5. A gospel that does not allow for the end of the Law by fulfilment in Christ is always going to run contrary to God's own declaration.--6. Israel crossed the Red Sea as if on dry land because God opened the way of salvation for them and yet simultaneously destroying the Egyptians.--7. The Egyptians carried the testimony of Hagar, the testimony of the Covenant of the Law which must come to an end at the death of Christ, hence their burial at sea..--8. That and more-.
Today's gospel instalment- 12-18-2022--Text- John 18 vs 1-12--Message Title -s-- Let these go their way--1. The Lord Jesus was about to handed over and be tried and be crucified.--2. And as He was being arrested, He preached what He came to do.--3. He said-If you SEEK ME, then LET THESE GO THEIR WAY.--4. And those were not just ordinary words. They were words of an Advocate and Mediator.--5. To say what-- To say if the Christ is given over to stand for His people, then all should go their way.--6. To go their way means-to be justified from their sin which was now imputed to Him.--7. You do not have to see justify to see the doctrine in operation.
Today's gospel instalment- 12-18-2022--Text- Genesis 38 vs 1-26--Message Title -s-- Sermon Title- 1. Everyone is pregnant- 2. No Harlot was found. 3. What is in your hands----1. The gospel is a very simple message, but many have not been given grace to hear and believe it.--2. Consequently, much of what is called gospel is NOT the gospel.--3. Why-- Because it conditions salvation on what the sinner does.--4. The simplicity of the gospel is that all of salvation is in what Christ did alone and gave to as many as should be saved.--5. And we see that simplicity and sufficiency in the testimony of Tamar when she got impregnated by whoredom by Judah.--6. The story is not as messy as many think. IT is a glorious gospel testimony if Christ is brought into the understanding to shed the light and clean up the story.--7. The offense of it is the offense of the cross- --8. Everyone is pregnant with some version of what they call gospel, the question is, will Christ accept it or say-depart from Me-I never KNEW you..
Today's gospel instalment- 11-27-2022--Message Title- 1. The king's Son-in-Law, 2. A poor and lightly esteemed Man--Text - 1 Samuel 18--1. Gospel testimony in the Old Testament is glorious, but hidden in types and shadows.--2. And without a proper hermeneutic -Christ centered way of reading it- it remains as just some stories packed with a lot of moralistic teaching.--3. In the story of David, Goliath and king Saul we have wonderful testimony of what it is God requires for salvation -union and representation from the ONE MAN-.--4. In other words, what He stipulated should happen to Christ for Him to get the church, the King's daughter.--5. Many who preach have yet to understand the exclusivity of Christ in the matter of the church's standing before God.--6. The church was given to Christ on condition that He would die to redeem it.--7. And so, we saw King Saul saying the same to David, that he would only get his daughter Michal on condition that he defeat and kill Goliath and would bring 100 foreskins of the Philistines.--8. You must listen to the whole message to get all the details to see the puzzle pieces come together. --9. God be praised for revealing His gospel truth. AMEN
Today's gospel instalment- 11-20-2022--Message Title- 1. A sling and a stone. 2. The simplicity of Christ--Text- 1 Sam 17 vs 28-51--1. God was preaching Christ through the testimony of David.--2. David was despised of his brethren, although it is he who would accomplish salvation for them from the Philistines.--3. And David did not war carnally with weapons that had been given him by Saul. He refused them and said he could not walk well in them. Many professing Christians are still walking burdened with the armor they got from Saul to try and accomplish their own salvation. --4. David slew Goliath with the simplicity of the sling and a stone and that speaking of Christ and His cross, the foolishness of the cross. --5. David accomplished something when He entered the ring to fight Goliath. He defeated and killed him and chopped off his head. --6. So, in Gospel preaching Christ accomplished something. He defeated and killed sin. He removed the condemnation of sin. He justified His people.--7. 1 Samuel 17-50 -NKJV-, -So David PREVAILED OVER the Philistine with a SLING AND A STONE, and struck the Philistine and KILLED HIM. But THERE WAS NO SWORD IN THE HAND OF DAVID.-
Today's gospel instalment- 11-13-2022--Message Title- 1. The condescension of Christ in David 2. Is there not a cause--Text- 1 Sam 17 vs 28-29--1. We continued with the Old Testament gospel narrative of David, his brothers, Israel and the Philistines.--2. In Old Testament gospel teaching as in the New, the testimony is organized around the person who is a type of Christ. That is what opens up the testimony.--3. And in our passage, David is the type of Christ that Goliath was preaching of-the One representative who is able to fight to the death for the salvation of His people.--4. And that to say, all matters of salvation were transacted representatively so that all of God's people were justified simultaneously in the One Act of Christ's obedience.--5. There is never gospel telling where there is no matter of sin and condemnation. And where these exist, there is also the testimony of the Law and its inability to save-hence the rejection of Saul by God as the king over Israel.--6. And in the testimony of Eliab, God preached His rejection of the Old Covenant as the means to rule and save His people and yet the same Law testified of Christ-His ultimate chosen king, but typified by David.--7. Eliab in his seemingly condescending questions towards his brother, David, was giving testimony of the mission of Christ.--8. Christ is God incarnate, the Logos who added human flesh with the express purpose of accomplishing salvation of His people who were laboring under the fear and burden of sin, death and condemnation -Goliath-. --9. So, the incarnation of Christ had a purpose-a purpose that Christ would purchase and justify His people from sin. This is what He came to do and this He
Today's gospel instalment- 11-06-2022--Sermon title -s-- 1. What shall be done for this man-- 2. The king's daughter, 3. What did Christ accomplish at His death----Text- 1Samuel 17 vs 1-27--1. The gospel did not begin in the New Testament.--2. God was already preaching and declaring the who, how and why of salvation in the Old Testament testimony.--3. The matter of salvation came also to the sermon that was declared through the person of Goliath.--4. Goliath declared that the matter between him representing the Philistines -God's people's enemies- could only be settled in the One representative man getting in the ring with him and fighting to the death.--5. And by that God was preaching UNION and REPRESENTATION BY CHRIST in all of salvation and His death as the ONLY CONDITION OF SALVATION.--6. And by the One Man representing all, God would justify those in Him by that one act of fight -0f death, of obedience-ROM 5-.--7. And the ONE MAN who stood for all in Him in the fight would be rewarded for His accomplishments in the immediate aftermath of His encounter with Goliath.--8. And that means Christ Jesus in the person of David would be enriched with great riches -1-, get the King's daughter -the church- -2- and have all His Father's household free of condemnation -3-.--9. And that means Christ justified all His Father's household when He died. That and more and these are wonderful gospel nuggets and they are free.

Abraham's faith -nature-character-..-4..Abraham's blessing by the righteousness of faith, which means the righteousness that he didn't cause by his own doing.-5..The promise is of grace and that means of Christ.. Thus, couldn't be conditioned on the doing of the sinner of any kind..-6..Faith is going to be tested.. But God given faith will always pass because of Christ's faithfulness..-7.. However, many go into the tent with Hagar to try and workout God's promises by their own flesh... And God says, NO..
Today's gospel instalment- 10-09-2022-Sermon Title-s-- -1. And beginning at this Scripture, preached Jesus to him. -2. What hinders me from being baptized-- -3. The Ethiopian Eunuch and the Isaiah connection.-Texts- Acts 8 and Isaiah 53
Today's Gospel instalment- 10-02-2022--Sermon Title- -The death of the High Priest---Text- Numbers 35--1. The matter of the who, the how and the when of salvation is a matter that God already spoke to in the scriptures.--2. That is what the scriptures are there to declare to any who seek understanding of God's RECIPE OF SALVATION.--3. What is the real matter that affects every sinner born in Adam-- It is justification. --4. What does that mean-- IT means their need to come out of that legal state that God put them in through Adam.--5. Every person who is saved is saved from something. They have to pass through a state in which they needed redemption and justification. And this was necessitated largely by what God purposed in salvation-the praise of the riches of His grace. --6. And much of religion has all kinds of formulas to the matter of the justification of a sinner. But God only accepts one and He determined that the justification of anyone, even if He loved them from before the foundation has to happen at the death of the High Priest.--7. The death of the High Priest, the Lord Jesus Christ on Mt Calvary, is the most important subject there is to God. Thus, it must be the center of our understanding of all matters of salvation. The cross was not an enabler of justification. IT was God justifying all His people from all their sins by reason of Christ's surety and representation, imputation and propitiation. -8. And it is free.
09-25-2022 -Message Title- Promise according to grace..-Text- Romans 4 VS 10-16-1..How did Abraham receive the Promise---2..What is-was the promise---3..What does does faith mean in the context of the Promise---4..Is the promise conditioned on faith or on God's doing alone---5..Be careful of conditionalism that talks grace but conditions the promise on something that is done by and in a person..-6..The promise is not conditioned on human response -faith and repentance-.-7...The gospel is a declaration of a promise ALREADY GIVEN and it is free..
Title- A Lamb for an ass--Text- Exodus 13 vs 1-16--1. The gospel is actually simple if we understand the issues.--2. God has made known His formula of saving His people.--3. It is He who did all the saving through His appointed mediator, the Lord Jesus Christ.--4. According to the Law of redemption, a donkey could not be given to God as is.--5. It had to be redeemed by another, a mediator, a lamb.--6. And that to say the sinner is pictured in the testimony of the donkey who is not naturally acceptable to God. But if they are, it is only one condition.--7. A donkey only lives if it is redeemed with a Lamb. A lamb has to stand in the place of the donkey. The Lamb ransoms the donkey.--8. And what happens if a lamb can be found-- The donkey's neck was to be broken. The donkey was killed, condemned.--9. So, a sinner is only saved, justified, holy as they stand in the Lamb, the Lord Jesus, otherwise, they too are condemned. --10. That is God's gospel.
Gospel installment- 09-08-2022-Title -s- - 1..Jesus, the Passover and the cross.. 2..What did Jesus accomplish on the cross---Text- Matt 27-1..Continuation of Exodus 12 teaching BSGCC -133-2..Jesus died on the Passover as the Passover Lamb.-3..Two fundamental things happened that had cause and effect.-4..The Lamb died and the people were set free from their slavery..-5..In fulfillment Jesus came to usher in the Exodus and preached the cause and effect with Barabbas..-6..Barabbas was set free because God brought him a ransom..-7..When you have found the God given ransom you have to go home, you have to be set free.-8..Jesus continued to preach WITH Simon the Cyrene.. His blood was on Simon the Cyrene as he carried the cross of Christ, the blood of the Passover.. The blood that God sees.-9..Jesus continued with His sermon and justified the thief on the cross. NO ONE GOES TO HEAVEN who is not justified by Jesus..-10..Jesus capped His ministry with the soldiers who got His expensive robe of righteousness. THAT WAS PREACHING WHAT HE ACCOMPLISHED ON THE CROSS. BY HIS BLOOD HE DIVIDED HIS RIGHTEOUSNESS TO ALL THE ELECT..
Today's gospel instalment- 09-05-2022--Sermon Title- No foreigner shall eat it--Text- Exodus 12 vs 40-51-1. Message preached at sister Rita Beckett's house as I was passing through to visit and see her on Labor Day weekend in NJ.--2. The gospel that we find declared in the New Testament is not new at all.--3. God already preached it from the text of the Old Testament.--4. And when God preaches to the matter of salvation, He also tells us the what, how, why and when and who----5. God extensively taught this truth in the experience of Israel in Egypt.--6. Israel came under bondage to Egypt where they had labored hard and long under heavy burdens and decrees.--7. And God teaching the matter of the slavery of sin, the Law and its condemnation.--8. Israel was essentially laboring under the condemnation of Pharaoh and his decrees and could not set themselves free as all sinners labor under God's judgment until they are saved by Christ's shed blood -ONLY THE ELECT-.--9. God came and taught the matter of the how such a people will be set free. He taught the condition and cause of their freedom, that is their justification from the decree of slavery.--10. It was not faith, but the death of the first born of Pharaoh, the picture of the Lord Jesus. It was the death of the Passover Lamb, another picture of the Lord Jesus.--11. And that to say the death of the Lord Jesus Christ is the ONLY condition that justified His people and when the Passover Lamb has been given over to death, concurrently, the people that it represented must all be justified in that death and participate in the EXODUS -Salvation, justification-.-12. And that to say when the Lord died, He died as God's Passover Lam
Message Title- 1. Rest in peace, 2. Flesh and blood cannot inherit. 3 From dust to glory--Text- 1 Cor 15 vs 50-58--1. Message-a conclusion of 3 messages that I preached on account of a dear sister, Shingirai Chirisa Dossa who graduated from the place of death to be in the place of life.--2. Death is not an aberration in God's sovereign will and purpose.--3. It has its function, context and reason.--4. And those in Christ need not fear death because their relationship to it has changed.--5. Death itself is not an automatic entry into glory and peace.--6. The peace of God is only entered through the person of Christ.
Title- 1. The Blessed man, 2. Righteousness apart from works--1. How does God declare the ungodly to be righteous----2. First, they are the ungodly, strangers to righteousness and unable to be righteous of themselves.--3. The righteousness of salvation can only be freely credited to the account of the ungodly.--4. This is what happened to Abraham. This is how Abraham was pronounced as righteous, a righteousness apart from works.--5. But this was not true for Abraham alone. This was true for David. Abraham and David were very important figures in the history of national Israel and held in the highest esteem.--6. And Paul draws them and says-they were righteous only by way of IMPUTATION OF GOD'S RIGHTEUOSNESS.--7. The were righteous by faith and not works.--8. They were righteous because God did not IMPUTE SIN TO THEM.--9. And that is the foundation of the glorious gospel of God's free and sovereign grace. --10. And if you should be called righteous, justified before God, it will not happen apart from the free imputation of Christ's righteousness.--11. And it is free-
Message Title- 1. Lazy boy gospel, 2. Abraham believed God, 3. How shall a sinner be made just--1. The most important issue that faces a sinner is their justification.-2. In other words, how shall a sinner meet with a just and holy God and not be condemned---3. Now religion has answered this question a million ways, but none of their answers satisfies God.-4. God has a way that He has emphatically and eternally answered the question for the sinner and it is UNPOPULAR.-5. He has answered it by the doctrine of IMPUTATION. -6. The imputation of sin and of righteousness. This is the doctrine that set Abraham free from condemnation from sin.-7. This is how God answers to all the issues respecting the judgment of a sinner.-8. The gospel is a declaration of how God has solved the matter for all the elect through Christ. And it is LAZY BOY THEOLOGY and it is FREE.
Sermon Title- -You shall not eat leavened bread---Text- Exodus 12 vs 14-39--1. Israel in Egypt was God preaching salvation through Christ.---2. He gave us the problem that Israel was under-which was slavery.--3. But God's interest was slavery to sin and there is no slavery to sin without Law.---4. So, all men and women apart from Christ are slavery to sin, that is, they are under the power, dominion and condemnation of it.---5. And to get out this situation requires the God given solution-which is the death of the Passover Lamb.--6. But there is more to the Passover Lamb. He was the first born of God, and also was pictured in the Unleavened bread.---7. Unleavened bread was bread made without yeast and that is without any influence of sin and that speaking to the sinlessness of Christ.---8. And by this God established the condition for the salvation of His people. That it was only to happen by the death of the First Born of God who was without leaven. ---9. And God sees ONLY this blood as the basis of a sinner's passing from death unto life.---10. AND IT IS FREE
Title- Do we void the Law through faith Pt 2 --Text- Romans 3 vs 31--1. Many use Romans 3 vs 31 to teach continuity of Moses over the redeemed--2. But is that consistent with Pauline teaching and thinking of the believer's relationship to the Law----3. I argue that this verse is speaking not to continuity of Moses, but to historical function-purpose of the Law in redemption history.--4. Because if we say the Law is binding on the redeemed then we have too many scriptures that teach the very opposite that Moses has been retired.--5. His ministry was passing away and was the ministry of death and condemnation.--6. So, the only satisfying understanding for me given all the Pauline data on the treatment of the Law is that he was not speaking of CONTINUITY, but of FUNCTION.--7. That and more.. and IT IS FREE-
Defining Gospel terms is important to understanding the truth about God--1. What is sin----2. What is to fall short of the glory of God----3. What is righteousness----4. What is justification----5. What is redemption----6. What is propitiation----7. And all these terms have implications-
Today's Gospel instalment- 04-17-2022 -Sermon Title- Are we better than they---Text- Romans 3 vs 1-20-1. Unless we understand or believe the spiritual condition of humanity as sinners, we can't confess the truth as it is in Christ.-2. God has given dire and distressing testimony of men as they are found in Romans 1 country, as they are found in high moralism and in feigned law keeping.-3. They are all unrighteous, condemned and hopeless.-4. So, the Jew though having some temporary advantages and privileges, they did not get preferential treatment with respect to salvation, because real circumcision is that which is internal, a spiritual reality done by God. -5. God is no respecter of persons. And so, the Jew remains hopeless as long they think their Law keeping recommends them to God for salvation.-6. So, the conclusion of the matter is that all men are sinners. They are under the power of sin and in this state are not able to please God or accomplish their own salvation.-7. And Paul went to describe the spiritual condition of all men and giving an X-ray picture of sin from the head to the toes and saying, there is NONE RIGHTEOUS or ANY who understands.-8. Thus, the Law could not declare such a one as righteous. Because the Law was not given to cause righteousness in a sinner, but to shut them up, to remove all boasting.-9. There are a lot of gospel nuggets to glean and they are free.-10. Happy Resurrection weekend..
Title- 1. Why did Pharaoh harden his heart-- 2. Why did God harden Pharaoh's heart-- 3. What does it mean and what is the gospel understanding---1. We can't talk of salvation if we do not see those things that represent or respect Christ in this story or any story for that matter.-2. Israel was in Egypt under slavery for the gospel testimony.-3. Their slavery pictured the slavery of all men to sin and Law resulting in death.-4. And a people under slavery cannot free themselves.-5. And God appeared to teach this truth in His dealings with Pharaoh.-6. Pharaoh could not just set the people free. Even the 9 plagues could not persuade him to set them free.-7. However, when the 10th plague came, the death of the first-born, God's people were set free.-8. But this happens in the context of repeated testimonies of God hardening Pharaoh and Pharaoh hardening his own heart.-9. There is much great gospel nuggets to glean from this message.-10. IT is all free.
Message Title- The condemnation of the Law keeper. 2. Human obedience is no obedience-Text- Romans 2 vs 17-29-1..We have already talked about the condemnation of the unrighteous pagans in Romans 1 in ROMANS1 COUNTRY -BSGC Rom - 5-. -2..Next we did a message on the CONDEMNATION OF THE MORALIST ... Romans 2..- BSGC Rom - 6--3.. And this message with some review of the first two the is condemnation of the LAW KEEPER..-4.. Men and women need to see their depravity and hopelessness before they can actually embrace the truth of God's grace.. -5.. All these people who trouble us when we declare that Christ is the only righteousness worthy of talking about, do not understand God's arguments in the gospel. They have a low view of sin even as they profess to be redeemed and a very high and false view of their own obedience to God. -6.. And that means they are still deceived with respect to sin and righteousness. -6.. The Law keeper on his best day is just as condemned as the moralist on his or her best day as is the Pagan on his worst day.-7. The only difference Maker is Christ alone and He alone IS THE RIGHTEOUSNESS.
Sermon Title- The Condemnation of the Moralist.-1. Many are deceived by moralistic individuals with respect to righteousness and salvation.-2. The Moralist tries to live to high moral standards and demands them of other people.-3. By this they think they are righteous and in this they put their hope.-4. The Moralist agrees with Paul as he enumerated the many sins of the citizens of Romans 1 country.-5. But Paul does not agree with him. In Chapter 2 Paul comes and condemns the moralist and says they are just as guilty as those that he-she condemns.-6. And Paul's aim to is to prove that all men, even the best and religious ones are sinners and are under condemnation.-7. And there is only one way out, God's righteousness as revealed in the gospel. -8. And IT IS FREE
Sermon Title- 1. God's Righteousness revealed in His wrath 2. Romans 1 Country 3. God gave them over.-1. The issues have to be understood otherwise, people will believe a false gospel.-2. The good news of the gospel has God given context.-3. The context is that all people are under sin, pagans, idolaters.-4. They suppress the truth of God in unrighteousness by denying God and not giving Him His glory.-5. All people know that God exists and they have no excuse for their unrighteousness.-6. God's verdict is that all sinners deserve to die for their righteousness.-7. And yet, for the beloved of God, called saints, He says grace and peace to them because of Christ.-8. Christ has done for them what they could not do for themselves, to satisfy God's wrath.-9. If you are living in Romans 1 country you have to hear this message.
Title- 1. God's righteousness revealed, 2. The Just shall live by faith-Text- Romans 1 vs 8-15-1. There are just too many gospel nuggets to glean even in the opening words of Romans 1.-2. So, we decided to revisit them, expand and glean more understanding. -3. As always there are a lot of themes running in the text.-4. But fundamentally, our message is the God's righteousness revealed, which is the heart of the gospel.-5. And related and inseparable from it is the gospel declaration that the Just shall live by faith.-6. We explained what all these things mean, but not exhaustively, because we are just at the beginning of the subject.-7. If God's righteousness is not understood and believed upon, then there is no gospel to talk about. -8. Those who condition salvation on the doing of a sinner ARE IGNORANT OF GOD'S RIGHTEOUSNESS.
Title- 1. BSGCROM- 1- Introduction to Romans, 2. God's gospel--1. Many considerations to take into account to understand the book of Romans -audience and composition, nature and genre, theme and possible local issues-.-2. But fundamentally this is a book about God as is all of the bible.-3. And God's book is about the revelation of Christ Jesus as He accomplished righteousness for His people.-4. And Romans seeks to establish how a sinner is made righteous before God, which many people are still ignorant of--5. And a sinner is made righteous by the RIGHTEOUS OF GOD revealed, accomplished by Christ and freely imputed.-6. And that to say the Gospel is the major theme of Romans and yet to understand the gospel many pressing questions have to asked and answered with respect to Law and Gospel, the matter of the relationship between Jew and Gentile in the light of the advent of Christ.-7. And in elaborating the gospel all these subordinate questions are answered as the answer is found in Christ Jesus who is the end of the Law to everyone who believes, to the Jew first and also to the Gentile.
Sermon Title -s-- 1. The finger of God, 2. No one remained-Text- Exodus 8-1. We are back to the story of Israel in Egypt, the testimony of Christ.-2. Moses and Aaron are back to speak to Pharaoh again by way of Miracles.-3. And through the Miracles God was coming and introducing Himself. -4. And for God to be known in that particular context He said, He would harden Pharaoh's heart so that he would NOT set the people free.-5. God does harden or softens the hearts of people as He pleases. Some are hardened to condemnation and yet others by His election are softened to the justification in Christ. -6. So, Plague after plague, in spite of the halfhearted pleas by Pharaoh, he still did not let the people go.-7. He could not let the people free because it was not how people who are in bondage are set free.-8. And this what God was driving the whole matter to. That He alone through His appointed means would set the people free. -9. So, the magicians did try their magic tricks, but quickly they came to their wits' ends. And we explored much gospel testimony in this story and it is free.
Message Title- Moses is dead--1. Moses -the Law- is dead..--2. Dead by way of fulfilment and setting aside by Christ.--3. The accusation of anti-Law -anti-nomian- is pejorative and contrary to the gospel testimony. It is a charge that stems from ignorance and unbelief of the gospel. --4. Moses can not stand if the Christ has arrived..--5. The true believer does not weep for Moses, they rejoice in his retirement and glory in Christ..--6. God killed and buried Moses, that and more.. A wonderful gospel message this... and guess what---7. It is free.....
Gospel Instalment- 01-23-2022--Sermon Title- 1. Go call your husband, 2. I do not have a husband, 3. A date with Jesus-Text- John 4- 1-28--1. The story of the Samaritan woman is not a story about how women should be treated.-2. That is now what Jesus was teaching. It is a gospel encounter between the Savior and His elect sinner.-3. Jesus had a Divine Appointment with this woman at Jacob's well to set the stage for the conversation that Jesus was to bring to the Samaritan woman.-4. There is no person who just ups and comes to have a conversation with Jesus, especially if they are to be saved if God has not scheduled their meeting with Jesus.-5. God does not do things randomly, but orchestrates every move and detail.--6. Jesus spoke of the water that He gives, that is different from regular water. His water is a living water -the Holy Spirit- that wells up to eternal life.-7. It is water that gives satisfaction and rest is implied because even the Samaritan woman reasoning in the flesh realized that if this were true, she would stop coming to the well..-8.. But Jesus was of course talking about salvation, not physical labor..-9.. Many gospel nuggets to glean, but you have to listen to the end..
Sermon Title- 1. I am the Lord, 2. Then you shall know-Text- Exodus 6 vs 1-13-1. We continued with our gospel teaching from the book of Exodus building, explaining and demonstrating that the Old Testament scriptures do indeed testify of Christ.-2. And where we find Christ, we also the testimony of salvation of God's people who are in bondage.-3. And the whole matter of Israel's experience in Egypt was a testimony of God about sin and Law as they produce slavery and death and God's way of deliverance.-4. Thus, the oppression of the children of Israel did not happen by accident, but was God preaching.-5. Preaching that in the matter of salvation sin and Law bring hopelessness to God's people.-6. Sin and Law NEVER PRODUCED LIFE, but DEATH.-7. And God came continued to expand on His name of I AM THE LORD. And this name He was to be known because He had made a Covenant of salvation, to redeem His people from the burdens of their sin that was pictured in oppression of slavery in Egypt.-8. That and more and it is free-
Message- -Proverbs 31 Woman Pt 2--Text- Proverbs 31 vs 10-31--1. We continued with the testimony of the Proverbs 31 woman to identify her and speak to her character and works.-2. The proverbs 31 woman is Christ Jesus. If we take this text as is, it would be welcomed in every self-help group, every synagogue, Buddhist Temple, even the Church of Scientology.-3. But when we rightly use this scripture to speak to the person and work of Christ then the OFFENSE of the gospel kicks in and that is what we did.-4. The bible ought to be read and understood through the lenses of Christ and the gospel, otherwise texts like this and others lend themselves to a lot of moralistic teaching.-5. The proverbs 31 woman has an obsession with weaving clothes and that is Christ Jesus weaving righteousness for His household, the church. -6. Christ alone fits the description of the woman. -7. The gospel nuggets are plenty and this is a must hear message-IT IS FREE-
BSGCC - 120 The Proverbs 31-woman Pt 1 Pro 31 vs 10-22--1. Who is this Proverbs 31 woman that many aspire to be- --2. Understanding the gospel is very important.-3. Many people, preachers and believers have a tendency to moralize the bible too much that they end up making it about themselves.--4. They end up using the scriptures to medicate their problems and that is not the most profitable way. It only ends up in human wisdom and disappointment, which makes none wise unto salvation.--5. The scriptures were given to declare the person and work of Christ.-6. It does not matter what genre of scripture it is, it was given to testify of Christ.--7. And so, the Proverbs 31 woman is no exception. Her credentials are too lofty and her work faithful and impeccable that she can't be found anywhere in this world.--8. This woman is only found by revelation and God's grace only to the elect.-9. Now, someone will object and say, nowhere is Christ pictured as a woman. But that is because they are speaking from ignorance of the scriptures and typology.--10. Many gospel nuggets to glean here.
BSGCC - 119 The Words of King Lemuel's mother.-Text- Proverbs 31 vs 1-9-1. The king was a child of his mother's and a son of her vows..-2..And she had words of instruction to him about what he needed to do, that he may be a righteous king who is able to defend the cause of the afflicted, poor and needy..-3...So, this king was to not forget the Law in this quest...and so the Lord Jesus came and fulfilled every jot and tittle of the Law on behalf of all His elect.. -4..The Lord Jesus is He who was born as the Son of God's vows, to bring justice to all of His people who were afflicted by sin and death..-5...This king was to make intercession for His people... and these pictures are only understood faithfully as they speak to the person and work of Christ...
Gospel instalment--1. God always preached the same message-it does not matter the book or story, it was always about salvation in Christ.--2. And to understand Christ, the cross, God's grace, one has to appreciate the matter of the relationship between Sin and Law.--3. Many are quick to side on the side of Law and even claim to do it, but it is zeal without knowledge.-4. The Law was given to IMPRISON and to MAKE HOPELESS because of sin.-5. Law and Sin always produce bondage and that is the matter that God was preaching in Egypt with the testimony of Israel.-6. So, the Angel of Lord -Christ- came to His people in Egypt to set them free, but He had to teach them how a sinner in bondage is set free.-7. And in the testimony of Pharaoh we will learn the matter of Law and what it demands of a sinner. THIS IS A VERY IMPORTANT GOSPEL UNDERSTANDING.
Sermon Titles- 1.I will kill his firstborn son, 2. Those who sought YOUR LIFE ARE DEAD 3..The husband of blood..--1. We went back to Exodus 4 to glean gospel nuggets of how God was preaching this matter in Egypt.--2.His people were under bondage to Pharaoh and God has come down to deliver them by the hand of Moses..--3. BUT IN MOSES, we see a type of Christ....--4..IN Egypt we see the matter or issue of slavery as depicting the sinners' oppression to sin, law and death...--5...And these are the matters that define the condition that has to be met for one to be set free..--6..And it is not as many religious people would say....ALL CONDITIONS OF SALVATION ARE MET IN THE GOD APPOINTED MEDIATOR...--7...Many gospel nuggets to glean and they are free.
Today's gospel instalment- 12-05-2021-Title- 1. I have come down 2. Shall not go empty-handed.-Text- Exodus-1..Israel is in Egypt and are in bondage..-2...God has come to deliver His people and says, I have HEARD, the CRY and SORROW of MY people..-3..And He has come down to save them from the hand of Pharaoh..-4..THE Pharaoh who will NOT let God's people go for a gospel testimony, that we expounded and are developing in this book of Exodus.-5..MOSES was appointed and commissioned of God to be the deliverer of His people, as a type of CHRIST..-6..Unless the problem of bondage to sin and Law is defined, then the matter of Christ and His work means NOTHING , as it is in many -churches- today...-7..But where there is bondage and salvation from it, there is blessing, for God's people shall not leave their house of bondage empty-handed.-8..That and more and it is free..
Today's Gospel instalment- 12-04-2021 Message Title- Imputation and its Necessity.. Text- Genesis 39... 1..Many say grace, gospel, Jesus who do not understand or believe the real matter.. 2.. Salvation happens only through the principle of IMPUTATION.. 3..To Impute means to charge or reckon something to someone's account.. 4..The whole gospel transaction rests on this principle, from Adam to Christ, to all the redeemed.. 5..Grace happens only through IMPUTATION that is grounded on the doing of another.. 6...Once we condition salvation on the doing of a sinner for all or any part of salvation, we are already believing a FALSE GOSPEL... 7..A lot of preachers do this double dealing and double speaking, because they too don't understand the issue... 8...Listen to this message.... because it is God's truth from the text and it is free-
Title- John 3 vs 16 and the Gospel-1. John 3-14-16 -NKJV- -14 And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of Man be lifted up, 15 that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life. -16 For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. -2. Many falsely conclude that Jesus was saying that salvation is universal and potential, in the sense that God wants to save all men without exception and thus awaits the decisions of sinners to seal the deal. But that can't be true.-3. Jesus did not end up talking in verse 16 of John 3. He qualified His soteriology in many other texts. Also, a proper understanding of John 3 will not allow for the free-will, universalistic interpretation of it.-4. But you have to listen to the end to hear the arguments.. They are FREE-
Sermon Title- -Raised in Pharaoh's house---Text- Exodus chapters 1 and 2--1. Exodus 1-11-14 -NKJV- -11 Therefore they set taskmasters over them to afflict them with their burdens. And they built for Pharaoh supply cities, Pithom and Raamses. -12 But the more they afflicted them, the more they multiplied and grew. And they were in dread of the children of Israel. -13 So the Egyptians made the children of Israel serve with rigor. -14 And they made their lives bitter with hard bondage--in mortar, in brick, and in all manner of service in the field. All their service in which they made them serve was with rigor. --2. God continued to preach the gospel of His Son, unfolding the story even in the suffering of His people whom He brought into bondage for this very purpose.--3. And from this bondage He appointed and raised a deliverer and raised him in the house of Pharaoh.-4. Many gospel nuggets to glean, God has already laid it out and so you sit down and listen..because it is free.
Text- Gen 24- Genesis 24-1-4 -NKJV-, 1 Now Abraham was old, well advanced in age- and the LORD had blessed Abraham in all things. -2 So Abraham said to the oldest servant of his house, who ruled over all that he had, -Please, put your hand under my thigh, 3 and I will make you swear by the LORD, the God of heaven and the God of the earth, that you will not take a wife for my son from the daughters of the Canaanites, among whom I dwell- -4 but you shall go to my country and to my family, and take a wife for my son Isaac.- -1. The same gospel that is in the New Testament, God preached it in the Old using types and shadows.--2. In the story of Abraham, Isaac, Eliezer and Rebekah we find one such excellent telling of the matter of salvation.--3. Without an appreciation of the Triune God, many puzzle pieces of salvation will not be understood. --4. There are many gospel nuggets to glean and it is wonderful to behold- It is good and it free
Today's gospel instalment- 10-30-2021--Text- Ephesians 6 vs 10-20--Sermon Title -s-- 1. -Spiritual warfare - the gospel- 2. -Put on the full armor of God-. --1. Ephesians 6-11 -NKJV-, 11 -Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.---2. After Apostle Paul had labored about God's eternal purpose in Christ, he then taught on the imperatives for those who are the redeemed of God, after that he then went into life of the believer -their struggle-.--3. He spoke of the battle that each believer has to deal with and what they need to prepare or arm themselves to deal with such spiritual realities.--4. He said, the believer is in a spiritual battle -at war-. And the battle is against evil forces of darkness and there is a particular way to war.. And one cannot use carnal weapons for this warfare.--5. Yes, Charismatics and Pentecostals do talk more about spiritual warfare than they do about the gospel. Thus, their weapons are carnal because there is no effective weapon against the fiery darts of the Devil and his minions that is not based on the gospel truth. Binding Satan and rebuking Satan everyday is not the way to war in this battle. --6. As usual there are many gospel nuggets to glean. We had a David and Goliath gospel connection- -7. How you war also reveals your gospel, whether it is true or false. And this is all free-
Today's Gospel instalment- 10-17-2021--Message Title- -Children Obey your parents---Text- EPH 6 vs 1-9-Ephesians 6-1-3 -NASB- -1 Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right. -2 HONOR YOUR FATHER AND MOTHER -which is the first commandment with a promise-, -3 SO THAT IT MAY BE WELL WITH YOU, AND THAT YOU MAY LIVE LONG ON THE EARTH. -1. Children are to obey the parents IN THE LORD.-2. Do not think this is a message to bash children- There is a bucketload of gospel testimony even in that commandment.-3. We preach Christ- you will have to listen to discover the gospel nuggets in this portion of Ephesians 6.
Sermon Title -s-- 1. -For this reason a man shall leave his parents- 2. -This is a great mystery-- 3. The two shall become one.. --Eph 5- 31-32 -For this reason a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh.- 32 This is a great mystery, but I speak concerning Christ and the church---1. Imperatives-exhortations should not be taught if one does not understand the gospel. WHY- Because they find their basis, authority, application from what Christ has done and the standing that the believer ALREADY possesses.--2. Using imperatives to beat up the redeemed to extract righteousness from them is not the proper way to use them- --3. Paul in EPH 5 has worked imperatives directed to 3 groups of people- a- The body of Christ-and he said-you are light and should walk as children of light and ought to love one another as Christ loved and redeemed us, b- He took it a step further and said-wives are to submit to their husbands as is fitting in the Lord, c- Husbands ought to love their wives as Christ loved the church and died for her and in EPH 6, we shall speak to the obedience of children in the context of having redeemed parents, also slaves and masters. --4. But in all the commands of submission or obedience Christ is the reference point-to say He is the example and basis for everything for the true believer. It is not the Law that now directs the spiritual understanding, but Christ Himself through His Spirit.--5. But the matter of wives and husbands is not the end of things and so one should not establish righteousness by them before God. Marriage is only a picture or shadow of the true m
Sermon Title- 1. The friend of the bridegroom, 2. The end of the Law, 3. John the Baptist Testimony--1. Unless we know the difference between Law and gospel we cannot believe in the truth.--2. Many mix Law and grace because they do not know what to do with Law, which means they also do not understand the claims of the gospel.--3. Christ is the end of the Law for righteousness to everyone who believes. And the gospel is not a new Law by which we obey God unto righteousness. The gospel rather is a declaration of a work that was already completed and accepted on behalf of those who should be saved.--4. John the Baptist came to testify of Christ. But do we understand what God was actually by the testimony of John as it relates to Law and the gospel- --5. John 3-27-30 -NKJV- -27 John answered and said, -A man can receive nothing unless it has been given to him from heaven. 28 You yourselves bear me witness, that I said, 'I am not the Christ,' but, 'I have been sent before Him.' 29 He who has the bride is the bridegroom- but the friend of the bridegroom, who stands and hears him, rejoices greatly because of the bridegroom's voice. Therefore this joy of mine is fulfilled. 30 He must increase, but I must decrease. --6. This message was preached at Grace Fellowship Church of Wheelersburg, Ohio and it is about testimony of the Law in reference to Christ-
Text- Ephesians 3-14-19 -NKJV-, 14 For this reason I bow my knees to the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, -15 from whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named, -16 that He would grant you, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with might through His Spirit in the inner man, 17 that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith- that you, being rooted and grounded in love, -18 may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the width and length and depth and height-- -19 to know the love of Christ which passes knowledge- that you may be filled with all the fullness of God.-
Text- Ephesians 2-4-10 -NASB- -4 But God, being rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us, -5 even when we were dead in our transgressions, made us alive together with Christ -by grace you have been saved-, -6 and raised us up with Him, and seated us with Him in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus, -7 so that in the ages to come He might show the surpassing riches of His grace in kindness toward us in Christ Jesus. -8 For by grace you have been saved through faith- and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God- -9 not as a result of works, so that no one may boast. -10 For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand so that we would walk in them. -1. Any salvation conditioned on what the sinner does or does not do to be saved is FALSE.-2. Salvation is 100- of God's grace in Christ alone..-3. Faith is not what the sinner contributes for God to save them in response. Faith is a gift -free- from God to all who should be saved -the elect-.-4. That and more-
Ephesians 2-1-3 -NASB- -1 And you were dead in your trespasses and sins, -2 in which you formerly walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, of the spirit that is now working in the sons of disobedience. -3 Among them we too all formerly lived in the lusts of our flesh, indulging the desires of the flesh and of the mind, and were by nature children of wrath, even as the rest. --1. It is not true that you came to Christ by the power of your own will or choice.-2. Unless we align with God's testimony of the human condition as without any ability, then salvation by grace is a mere endorsement of human choice, which is a false gospel.
Ephesians 1-15 -NASB- -15 For this reason I too, having heard of the faith in the Lord Jesus which exists among you and your love for all the saints.---1. Faith is particular and has defined content-if it is according to the gospel of God-the gospel of Jesus Christ.
Title- The purification of a poor leper-Text- Leviticus 14 vs 1-32- Leviticus 14-32 -NKJV-, -32 This is the law for one who had a leprous sore, who cannot afford the usual cleansing.----1. The gospel is a declaration of God's way of salvation.-2. A declaration of how a sinner ought to approach Him to be justified.-3. A declaration of what Christ accomplished to that effect.-4. Thus, any other method that contradicts God's method is anathema.-5. But God's way is only taught of God, otherwise sinners will never know how to approach Him in peace.-6. And this is free.
Sermon Title -s-- 1. These animals will be my wages, 2. Jacob and his flocks 3. Consider it stolen.--Genesis 30-33 -NKJV- -33 So my righteousness will answer for me in time to come, when the subject of my wages comes before you- every one that is not speckled and spotted among the goats, and brown among the lambs, will be considered stolen, if it is with me.- -Full text- Gen 30 vs 25-43-1. Many condition salvation on themselves showing that what they believe is not the gospel.--2. Many professing Christians claim that salvation can be lost, also showing that they do not believe God's gospel.--3. IT is not God's gospel if it is conditioned on a sinner and if that salvation can be lost.-4. A wonderful message..
Sermon Title- It is not our custom here. --Text- -Genesis 29-26-27 -NKJV- , 26 And Laban said, -It must not be done so in our country, to give the younger before the firstborn. 27 Fulfill her week, and we will give you this one also for the service which you will serve with me still another seven years.- --1. Unless we understand the relationship between Law and Gospel, we will think that the Law is gospel.--2. And to mix Law and gospel is to remain, not with the gospel, but Law.--3. And this matter God has consistently and repeatedly taught even in the Old Testament gospel testimony, which is the matter that we expounded, in this 2nd installment of the teaching from Gen 29.--4. This is free and a wonderful gospel testimony hidden in this story.
Sermon Title- A Sacrifice from the domesticated animals-Text- Leviticus 1--1. God's prescribed way of salvation.-2. The Tabernacle system and the sacrificial system a gospel testimony.-3. Imputation of sin and righteousness, the bedrock of the gospel of grace.-4. God's satisfaction only by the death of the sacrificed that He appointed and qualified.
Scripture- Ephesians 1 vs 13-14-1. The Gospel of God is Trinitarian and reveals the God who is three persons -Father, Son and Holy Spirit.---2. The Father chose, adopted and accepted the elect in the Son, the Son redeemed all the elect by His blood and caused their inheritance and the Holy Spirit sanctifies and seals all the redeemed.--3. Those who deny the Trinitarian nature of the Godhead will find it hard to remain faithful to the text of scripture. --4. The sealing of the elect is God marking out His possession of all the redeemed. All the elect have the Holy Spirit seal, because it speaks to many things.--5. Sealing by the Holy Spirit authenticates the believer as belonging to Christ-having been baptized of the Holy Spirit by Christ Himself.--6. Sealing by the Holy Spirit means the believer cannot be possessed of evil spirits.--7. Sealing by the Holy Spirit means salvation of the elect is sure, it is permanent and cannot be unsealed by anyone who did not seal them. Thus, the Holy Spirit does not go in and out believers, not in the New Testament.
Today's gospel installment- 03-27-2021--Ephesians 1-11-12 -NKJV-, -11 In Him also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestined according to the purpose of Him who works all things according to the counsel of His will, 12 that we who first trusted in Christ should be to the praise of His glory.--Sermon Title- In Christ we obtained an inheritance-1. Much of the gospel proclamation that you will hear condition salvation on something that one has to do or kick in for the inheritance to come to the believer. And so, preachers and people condition salvation that are not conditions, but are effects of salvation.--2. Faith and repentance are not conditions that are caused and fulfilled by the sinner for them to be blessed of God or for their sins to be forgiven. Rather, Christ and the cross are the condition and He already accomplished a work that gave us our inheritance.--3. The inheritance of salvation was always conditioned on Christ. And the text of Ephesians 1 vs 11 tells us that in HIM WE HAVE OBTAINED AN INHERITANCE. That is a statement of fact. It is a DECLARATIVE STATEMENT of what the MYSTERY OF CHRIST means to those who are the CALLED.--4. All the believers have obtained the inheritance. And these are the things that have happened for them to get to that inheritance- ELECTION BY GRACE, ELECTION IN CHRIST, PREDESTINATION TO ADOPTION AS SONS, REDEMPTION IN THE BLOOD OF CHRIST, THE FORGIVENESS OF SINS. --5. ALL THESE God DID alone in Christ.
Message- The faithful in Christ-Text- Ephesians 1 vs 1-2--1. Paul was an apostle appointed of God to bring the message of Christ. -2. And this message was of God's grace to the elect-3. And these are they who are called the faithful in Christ.-4. Apart from BEING IN CHRIST none is faithful.-5. There is much gospel nuggets to glean if you would listen to the end and as always, this is free.
Today's gospel installment- 1-17-2021--Sermon Title- -BSGCC - 102 We despaired of all hope to be saved Acts 27 vs 1-20---Text- Acts 27 vs 1-20--1. Paul's voyage to Rome.--2. God was preaching the gospel even with the struggle that Paul went through as he journeyed to Rome.--3. Human inability is central to our appreciation of God's grace and mercy.--4. Until a person has despaired of all efforts to save themselves-they will not believe in God's grace alone as sufficient for all of salvation.
Text- Genesis 43 vs 8-43--1. The brothers of Joseph are back in Egypt again and they showed up with Benjamin in their company.--2. Benjamin is the brother whom Joseph asked for them to bring if they should see his face and that to say-Christ is the only brother to bring before God if a sinner is to be justified.--3. When Joseph saw his brother Benjamin, he immediately commanded his household servant to slaughter an animal for them because he was to dine with them.--4. And we explored many gospel nuggets and the gospel testimony from Joseph's servant..--5. It is a wonderful gospel testimony and it is free.
Sermon Title- 1. Send our brother with us, 2. Do you have another brother--Text- Gen 43 vs 1-10-1. We continued with our verse by verse gospel exposition from the story of Joseph.--2. Many who profess Christ and even grace still do not believe the gospel because they continue to condition their ultimate salvation on their own performance and faithfulness.--3. But the story of Joseph and his brothers testifies to the sufficiency of the surety of Christ alone and this matter is very important that God repeats it over and over in 3 chapters of Genesis.--4. Christ Jesus is the only brother one needs in their company to stand holy and righteous before God.--5. And I took a few minutes to pay tribute to a brother who just passed on into glory, a dear brother that I fellowshipped with in the gospel.--6. This is a wonderful gospel message and it is worthy of your time if you hope to stand among the righteous of the Lord. --7. And it is free-'
The simple prescription of salvation and yet that is not what men and women are looking for. May the Lord grant you ears to hear....
Sermon Title- 1. Achan and the accursed things, 2. The valley of disaster.--Text- Joshua 7--1. The story of Achan is a story about Christ, the story of the salvation of sinners.--2. Every sinner has an accursed thing in their hands and how shall one like that escape from God's judgment---3. God's way of salvation is very particular and the testimony of Achan bears it out with His appointed mediator and surety..--4. Imputation and representation-God's way from eternity and if your gospel conditions salvation on the sinner-it is by default a false gospel.--5. And this is free.
Text- 2Kings 4- 1-7--Title of Message- 1. -Your servant my husband is dead-, 2. -Elisha, the woman, her sons and the oil.---1- If we fail to understand the relationship between the believer and the Law we will not believe the gospel.--2- God has been preaching about the INABILITY of the Law to save sinners even in the Old Testament.--3- The Law is not the gospel, because it does not have an inheritance for the sinner. The Law is not the end of the gospel, Christ is.--4- Christ alone is He who accomplished the salvation of His people and He is sufficient in Himself. --5- This is a very wonderful gospel message.
Today's Gospel Installment- 06-28-2020--Sermon Title- -How did Gideon get into Hebrews 11---Text Hebrews 11 vs 32 to 40 and Judges 6 to 8-1. Hebrews 11 is choke full of gospel nuggets especially if you go back to the original stories of the people who are mentioned there and that is what we have done so far and it has been a gold mine of nuggets.--2. God was preaching the gospel of Christ Jesus by their lives and so we entered the story of Gideon and his exploits to fight and defeat the Midianites.--3. The Midianites had been harassing Israel and destroying their livelihood. But this did not happen by mistake. It was because Israel had sinned against God and God is He, who had strengthened the hands of the Midianites against His people. God is always behind everything that happens-so pay attention. --4. We worked the testimony of sin and how it relates to Law-because it is there in this story. Many talk Law, but they do not understand what that actually means. The Law was not given to ENRICH, but to IMPOVERISH. --5. We worked the testimony of how Gideon was called into the ministry to accomplish the salvation of His people Israel.--6. Gideon destroyed altars to Baal along the way-altars that represented false worship and there were some who were offended by it and wanted him killed for it.--7. But before Gideon had gone to war-He had asked God for a sign-the sign of the fleece and we expounded the gospel testimony of it.--8. We expounded the gospel testimony according to the Midianites and how and why they were defeated.--9. In Gideon we have the story of God's way of doing salvation and the nuggets are plenty for those appointed to hear them.--10. And they are free-
1.We keep pressing for the knowledge of Christ-because in Christ is revealed God's way of salvation to those who are sinners-like real sinners.--2. Many have heard that Jesus died on the cross for sins, but they do not really know what that means. And so, not understanding what God requires for salvation-they continue to create other grounds for them and others to be saved.--3. We have worked the testimony of Joseph as he was going to Egypt-and how he entered into Potiphar's house as God's humiliated Servant.--4. When Joseph was serving Potiphar the sin of Mrs. Potiphar was discovered-exposed. She had an attraction for Joseph. WHY- Because Joseph is a type of Christ and Christ was in Joseph-God was with Him and only sinners are attracted to Christ as Mrs. Potiphar was attracted to Joseph.--5. If Mrs. Potiphar was not a sinner-then she would never had had Joseph's garment. The appearance of Christ to a sinner is what causes the sinner to really discover that they are a sinner.-6. Mrs. Potiphar was left holding the garment of Joseph-which was a picture of the garment of Christ -the righteousness of Christ--and that was her only evidence for her vindication before her husband-a type of God. And that to say-God will not accept any other testimony of holiness or righteousness other than that which Christ left behind for the sinner.--7. So, Joseph has gone to Prison to make payment for sins of Mrs. Potiphar-which sin he did not commit and we saw the imputation of sin and righteousness. Mrs. Potiphar the unrighteous remains free-as a picture of the sinner who is set free on account of the suffering of Christ.--8. And in the prison we met the Chief Cup Bearer for Pharaoh and the
1- We expounded on the Indicative and imperatives again. --2- An indicative explains what is true. It is not a command but expresses the rationale-reason behind the command.--3- When we use the term indicative, we are talking about what has already been indicated or declared to be true about you. The indicative informs us of an accomplished fact. Here is an example of indicative statement- -God in Christ has forgiven you.- That is an accomplished fact-unchangeable- because it is work that has been done by God alone in Christ alone. And that alone forms the basis of one's standing before God.--4- Imperatives are commands-exhortations to those that already have a status or position before God in Christ. -5- In the New Testament imperatives are always grounded on our union to-in-with Christ and what He accomplished, never by themselves. --6- And what that means is that imperatives flow from Indicatives-but never the other way round. And because people do not understand the proper relationship they end up in despair, pride or self-righteousness because they think they are accepted by God by their attempts to do the commands and not by the righteousness of Christ freely imputed.--7- We expounded this understanding after giving examples in the New Testament and then worked the rest of the Hebrews 10 chapter. Lots of gospel learning. May the Lord grant you light. And it is free-
