I don't want to get anyone to doubt their salvation. I want everyone to be certain of it. The way to do that is to compare the actions of our life to the commands of God's Word. We need to: • examine ourselves, • examine our faith, • examine our actions, • examine our beliefs, and see if they match up with Scripture. Are we Jesus Freaks or Jesus Fakes?
Complaining is pretty normal, isn't it? Is there something wrong with it? Once you align your heart with Christ, you will suddenly realize that: • It offends the heart of God, • It'll drive other people away, but you can overcome it. It’s a choice!
People are afraid of a lot of things…but, the one thing that I think bothers people more than anything is the fear of losing control.
Do get rattled when things don’t go as planned?
We need to learn to trust the promises of God!
Disloyalty is a very significant issue, but it is also very difficult to see in the mirror.
In our country so often, we've become a culture that is really without honor. To honor someone is to believe the best about them. To dishonor is to believe the worst. Honor lifts, dishonor tears down.
If you're a Christian, you are a conqueror. Positionally, in Christ, that is what you are. When you know who you are, you'll know what to do, and in Christ, you are a conqueror.
Without Christ, there is a lot wrong with you. • You are sinful, • you are spiritually dead, • you are the object of God's wrath. The good news is though, God can change everything in a moment through His Son, Christ. He can make you His workmanship.
The problem for so many Christians, is they don't really know who they are in Christ. And because they don't know who they are, they often don't know what to do. As believers, God has called us to represent Him! We are ambassadors!
Our Message? Non-negotiable. Our Method? Flexible. The Apostle Paul was a great example of this!
In 2 Kings, chapter 5, we read about three people who did not like their options, but they were able to • make the absolute best of a bad situation • and get victory over their circumstances, • and joy in the process, by learning three things to do when you don't like your options.
I’m not excited about the future because of how I feel. Because I don’t always feel that way. I’m excited about the future because of the truth of what God says! And specifically, in Romans 8.
We talk about something that happened right after the resurrection...and it deals with the subject of doubt. The good news is that some people have no problem with doubt at all. “The Bible says it, and I believe it, and that settles it!” That's great! But some other people have genuine struggles with doubt. Doubts come in all different shapes and sizes...and sometimes, honest doubt can lead to genuine faith! (Sorry about the quality--wind and rain definitely caused issues!)
Does God answer prayers? We believe that He can, and we believe that He will. And even if He doesn’t, We still love, we still serve, and we still trust.
Sometimes you look good on the outside, and nobody else would know that • you go to sleep afraid. • You cry yourself to sleep. • You feel more alone. Maybe you just feel the pressure and stress. Jesus asks: Why are you afraid?
SO many people are going through such a difficult time. • There's so much pain, • so much uncertainty, • the bills might be mounting, • your marriage might be struggling and we have become—like never before the Anxiety Society. This study is for anyone who may feel some anxiety. You feel alone or you're consumed with fear.
WE ARE THE CHURCH! And God has given us a mission... God has given us a message... That mission doesn’t stop. That mission doesn’t end. We can’t stop. We won't stop. Our message, the Good News of Jesus Christ is the hope of the world

God has given this moment in history to be the light in this time of darkness—we have an awesome opportunity if we respond correctly!
Many people feel abandoned-by others, first, but ultimately also by God. Although this is a common problem, Christians don't talk about this very much. Thank God that David opens up about it in Psalm 13--if you have ever felt this way, you are not alone!
You know…most of us have probably said it: “When I grow up I’m going to….” Or “When I grow up I will have…” It’s something that we all have done and some of us are still doing. We have GOALs for our life. That’s a good thing. And we also had goals for who we would marry and what our life would be like. But, sometimes...things just don't go the way that we imagine them.
There are some things that as a church we have to be on the same page with or Satan will have a field day with us in the future. And there is nothing we have to be more aligned with and clear about than what the true Gospel of Jesus Christ really is.
In Hosea 3, we see a purchase by Hosea that makes other people wonder, ''What was he thinking?'' This was a purchase that nobody else was willing or even interested in making. But he made the purchase out of love, because the item was special to him, even though it is tough to see the value in what he got. Here we see the price of true love. And we will learn how God's commands to Hosea show us a picture of God's love toward His people and His saving work through Christ.
As we walk through the first part of this chapter, it becomes clear what God must do to His people in response to their constant spiritual adultery. Yet, as we get into the second half, we see that God does the exact opposite. We are going to watch God do something that nobody would have seen coming; nobody!
If the Gospel is the Good News—then we need to understand that it starts with Bad News. But thank God for the Good News!
As faithful followers of Jesus...we have to confess the reality of Hell. Jesus consistently taught some things about Hell: It is a real place. The punishment is personal. The punishment is eternal. And you don't have to go there.
Hosea was instructed by God to marry a prostitute named Gomer who subsequently bore him three children, and he wasn't even sure the last two children were his. Then Gomer left him for another man, and Hosea had the humiliating responsibility of buying back his own wife. What was this all about? It was a vivid picture of what the people of Israel had done to their God by prostituting themselves to idols and committing ''spiritual adultery.'' We face the same temptations today.
Once we know WHO we are...then we can understand that we have the capacity to do what God has called us to do.
Our identity is rooted in the Trinity. It is only when we know who we are as believers in Christ that we can move forward into what God has called us into!
How can you be thankful in tough times? When things aren’t going your way, you are all stressed out, and you feel like throwing in the towel? How can you be thankful in tough times? Philippians 4 has the answer!
I can guarantee you that right now at this moment there are many of you who are facing • impossible challenges, • significant trials, • situations that you don't know how to get out of and you genuinely need the power of a God who can do anything. And so, my goal today is to through the power of God's Word help build your faith like a child to believe that all things are possible with God. And even if He doesn't do what you want Him to do...You will still believe!
Jesus said there is one sin for which He did not die. There is one sin that once it is committed there is no divine pardon that can take it away. There is a sin that God's delete button will not touch. When a person commits this sin, they are as assured of hell as if they were already there. What is that sin?
God is about to bring to pass all the prophecies concerning the Messiah and He is going to use Joseph to be a huge part of it. From this great, great man, we can learn some valuable lessons that will help us when we face difficult times. Joseph will teach us to trust the promises of God.
Today, there are Hatfield-McCoy feuds going on everywhere. • There are Hatfields married to McCoys. • There are Hatfield and McCoy brothers living under the same roof. • There are Hatfields living next to McCoy neighbors. • There are Hatfields working with McCoys. And yet in the Book of James--God shows us what we need to get along with others.
The truth is that we need to get back to a child-like faith—somewhere somehow, we have slipped away from that. A child simply believes: God forgives me.
Omnipresence: a big theological word. And what that means is that God is everywhere; He's here, He's there, He's around the world, He's everywhere. But a little child would personalize it and wouldn't just say that God is everywhere, but a little child would say the truth: God is with me. We need to get back to a child-like faith and trust in God.
The Resurrection of Jesus is what separates every other major religion from Christianity. • Buddha died and is dead. • Muhammad died and is dead. • Gandhi died and is dead. • Joseph Smith died and is dead. Jesus died, but He rose from the dead and is alive forevermore. This is the crown jewel of our faith: the resurrection of Jesus Christ.
When you get right down to it is there anything really more important than words? Almost everything we do in life is impacted by communication. James teaches us that real faith in Christ should impact how we use our words.
God is good. God is for you. God loves you. Have you forgotten what it was like to have a relationship with God where you trusted Him with a child-like faith? It's time to "Begin Again."
If you are a disciple of the Lord Jesus Christ, you are called to make disciples. How do we do that?
At some point, you simply had more faith than you do today. You had faith for miracles. You were believing for a movement of God in your life. And now, since you think you haven't seen God do something significant in a long period of time... ...maybe you’re just willing to take consolation prize. This is a message for those who feel like you're settling or you’re tempted to settle.
Does the Bible have anything to say on the issues of prejudice, discrimination and race relations?
There is a difference between doing great things and being a great person. Greatness in the eyes of God is having a servant's attitude.
Eventually, everyone everywhere has to come to the cross of Jesus. The Cross is a crossroads for every single person. And when you come to the crossroads of the cross, you can only go one of two directions: You either believe it or you don't.
When we see Who God is...and recognize who we are...there really is one logical response to the calling of God on our lives.
James shares with us the three key ways you must approach the Bible and the truth that is in it if you are going to live a life that God honors and God blesses.
When you pray this kind of prayer, • it will show you your need, • and you take that need directly to Christ, • and you let Christ meet that need • and conform you to his image. It sounds simple. But it can completely transform your life.
We are all having an influence on those around us--but, what kind of influence are we having?
Sometimes Churches tend to lean too far: Some lean more toward grace and some lean more toward truth. We need to be filled with grace and truth. The right balance. We have looked at the situation where Jesus was all grace and then we looked at the Jesus who was all truth. In this message, we are going to study an incident in the life of Jesus that perfectly reveals His perfect balance between grace and truth.
Throughout the Bible, we encounter characters who serve as models for us today. Some of those characters teach us what to do; others remind us what not to do. Belshazzar, the king of Babylon, was one character no one wants to replicate in today’s world, because the mistake he made cost him everything.
If the passage we are studying is true, (and it is) you are going to see why everybody is somebody regardless of • who they are socially, • what they have materially, • or how they look physically.
We're living in a day of unfathered fathers becoming fathers. Men who've never been fathered who are having children and becoming fathers. Ill-equipped to handle the role. Much of this is due to a failure to understand the role and responsibility of fathering.

Right in the middle of three magnificent miracles, we’re told the simple story about a little woman who just touched the hem of Jesus’ garment and was
• wonderfully, • totally • and gloriously healed.
It’s a wonderful story of healing and forgiveness.
It is interesting to note that two of the Ten Commandments deal with sins of the tongue:
• The third commandment deals with profanity, the ninth commandment deals with perjury;
• The third commandment deals with talking trash, the ninth commandment deals with telling the truth;
• The third commandment calls for holy language, the ninth commandment calls for honest language.
The way a person verbally respects God, tells you a lot about how he personally relates to God.
God's highest calling for you as a follower of Christ was never to go to a church...not to go to a building. God's calling on your life is to be conformed to the image of Christ, not to go to church sometimes, but to be rooted in the church, to be the church, a light shining into a dark world. ...to be planted in the house of God, sent out into the world.
Here's the amazing thing – • when you study the gospels, • when you read about the life • and ministry of Jesus in the New Testament, what you find is that there is more about His life that we don't know than what we do know. You see, He only lived for about 33 years here on this planet. And yet, when you add up all of the years of His life that the gospels record for us it only covers about 3 years.
Really, the only insight that we have into His life as a boy comes when He was 12 years old. Now, let me just make this statement before we read this amazing story. This is important.
When the gospel writers are quiet for so long, (for 12 years,) and then all of a sudden this one event in the childhood of Jesus is pulled out and put into Luke's gospel and then the veil of mystery and secrecy falls once again across His life for 18 more years, THIS IS IMPORTANT.

The Spirit of God that lives in you does not want you to give into temptation and sin, but every spirit outside of you wants that very thing. How can we have the victory over temptation? Surrender.
