Vicente Flores is the co-founder of Symmetry Turf, a sports turf construction company that has build fields from high school, to NCAA, NFL fields, and all the way to the Super Bowl. Vicente tells us how his humble story began when he crossed the US-Mexico border walking and made his way to the berry fields in Oregon. Here, he moved around the nurseries and fruit fields until he enrolled in a Community College to learn more about construction and English as a second language. His construction career began and shortly he was managing crews all over the U.S. doing installations until the opportunity came to start his company and grow from 2 to over 60 employees.

Derrick Reyes is the co-founder and CEO of Queerly Health, a New York City based digital health startup democratizing access to LGBTQ health & wellness. With a background in LGBTQ health, education, and social services, and a member of the LGBTQ community themself, Derrick knows firsthand how difficult it is for LGBTQ people to access anything related to healthcare. Derrick came up with the idea for Queerly Health and pitched it at a Latinx in Tech Startup Weekend event. Their pitch won first place and crowd favorite.
