Intuitive AwakeningsPEOPLE ASK ME ABOUT HOW TO CONTROL their sensitivity' when it's all a bit overwhelming and uncomfortable. Many of us did not ask for this skill to become part of our lives, it just happened. It may have happened over a period of time with a number of intuitive awakenings or it happened through a deepening curiosity. However it occurred, it was your deeper self-calling for a relationship with yourself. There is a belief that some people can be too open'. If you are especially empathetic and strongly clairsentient, you will at times feel as though it's all a bit too much. Empathy occurs when we feel for others; both their joy and their pain. We as sensitives often experience the pain of another by simply brushing past them in the street, or become overwhelmed at social functions. There are several ways to manage this level of overwhelm. You must though, respect the fact you are extra sensitive to the energy of other people and you always will be.
What your ability has done for youDeveloping your psychic awareness will have made a significant difference to your level of sensitivity and your ability to manage it. What I have seen in many sensitives as they take the time to develop their intuitive abilities, and spiritual awareness, is a natural deepening understanding of the self and other people. I have watched people move from being frightened individuals to quietly confident people who are very perceptive of their world and that of other people. I have seen people develop amazing internal confidence as well as the transformation of their inner and outer world. Very powerful transformations occur as you commit yourself to your own path in life. A sensitive's path is to understand and utilise their intuitive ability to help themselves and other people. Once they engage with this part of themselves there is the feeling of returning home.
Will I ever be good enough? Many Intuitive Sensitives have a fear that follows us around for the majority of our lives. It keeps us from enjoying what we've always wanted to do, it keeps us in jobs we dislike, and away from working in an arena we really enjoy. This fear prevents us from reaching our potential and keeps us playing it small. Many sensitives are paralysed by this perception of the self. We worry if we will ever be good enough. We have all experienced other people's projections. For the sensitive, this energy is huge because we feel the effects of judgement so deeply. Judgement is the biggest fear of the sensitive. It is the energy that holds us back, and blocks our progress. At this stage in the development sequence we have put much time and effort into our skills and ability, but we wonder that if we go full throttle into our skills, will it ever be enough? Are we enough? Are we enough for our friends and family? Are we enough as people? Do we serve others well enough? Perhaps for you it was a perception created early in your life. Maybe you felt you've never lived up to parental expectations. Or perhaps it came later in life. Maybe it was a partner past or present? Or a friend that pulls out the inadequacies in you? Whoever it was, it's time now to forgive the energy.
ForgivenessForgiving the energy is not about forgiving a person. If someone has placed upon us something we find very challenging to forgive, the quickest way to free ourselves is to forgive the energy. This instantly removes the hurt and pain. If you struggle to forgive the energy, consider what holding onto it will do to your system in the long-term. Holding it creates blocks to your own development and holds old energy you no longer need. I saw Marion recently at a workshop I was teaching after a gap of four months. The previous time I saw her was at another event I was teaching. On the first workshop, despite having worked on herself for a number of years, Marion's energy was covered in the victim energy of suffering and bitterness. Marion now saw her intuitive abilities as haphazard, but with bursts of occasional perceptive moments. This would then be followed by a lot of time spent in the energy of what if I don't get it right?' We worked intensively on forgiving old energy that was no longer needed. For Marion it was about forgiving the energy of her mother. Marion's childhood experience had been one of criticism from her mother and favouritism for the boy in the family. After a tussle in her psyche, Marion finally let go of her resentment and forgave the energy. When I saw her again, four months later, I saw a woman transformed! She explained how everything had changed. People were kinder, her children more respectful, her husband more communicative, and her intuitive abilities had increased tenfold.
Acceptance We Are EnoughAccepting when it's time to give up an energy we longer need is the exact point at which we accept deep within ourselves that we are indeed enough. The acknowledgement is not from other people, it is from a deep place within the self. Most of us are programmed for things to be hard and to take a long time to resolve. That if it's not painful enough then it's not doing us any good. How far from the truth this really is! When we have this level of acceptance we increase our vibration, we sparkle. These cleaning aspects of the sensitives development result in a very natural, healthy framework. ONE THAT WE CAN BE VERY PROUD OF…

Is Channelling WooWoo Or Insightful?I remember my most vivid experience of channelling healing energy. It was within a group environment. I was teaching an advanced group who had been together for an extended period of time. They had gone through the beginner and intermediate stages together and were now working at a deeper level.
As I sat in this large chair I could feel the build up of energy start very early on. The energy built to the extent I was channelling such a high frequency I found it increasingly challenging to hold such high level energy. The being' communicating was absolutely huge, it was an energy that extended throughout my body and into my crown chakra. It felt like a male.
As this energy came through, it passed on to each person in the group some information pertinent to their life at that time. Each person also had an amazing healing experience. The energy gave them the ability to immediately let-go of aspects of their life they no longer needed. For me, I was still present in my body but the energy was clear to those there. It was also extremely difficult for me to move, in a strange way I was frozen in the chair. The energy pounding through me was very strong, the heat was amazing.
True channelling is not something you can make happen to exact order. You can encourage for it to happen but you cannot force it. The circumstances in the above example were exactly right. It was a group environment and a group who trusted each other. There were no energy leaks as each person was committed to their own development.
CommitmentFor true channelling to occur a person needs to be committed to their psychic and spiritual development. Channelling requires mind control to work in its full potential. Without a good level of mind control the channelling will be sporadic and jumbled, the message uncleat and the healing energy intermittent. This group of people had made a commitment to themselves to be the best of
who they could be. They were truly enjoying their work on themselves hence the reward of a high level energy coming through.
Since that occasion I have experienced that level of energy coming Through a number of times. Who was it? The exact nature of the energy I cannot be sure, but I do believe that high level channelling is an extension of our own energy at its deepest core.
Perfecting ChannellingTo experience channelling the best experiment is to use some of the aspects of automatic writing. This is a form of channelling for your own use rather than for others. Get a piece of paper and a pen. Ask in your mind a question you would like to receive the answer to. Try to choose something where you are not too desperate' to receive an answer. If inside you feel desperate you will
project the desperation on to your interpretation which can only produce inaccuracies.
Remain neutral and let the thoughts begin. You will find at first they are simple thoughts which will start to switch into kind but profound information. If it is too far out there, or comes across as ego based, this is not true channelling. It's the end of the world' stuff which is usually ego driven. These are your internal fears driven by the need for expression. The sub-conscious will then bypass the conscious mind and start spouting the fears. Don't worry if the information you start to get seems doom and gloom. If this happens it is just your unconscious world releasing energy it no longer needs.
Once you begin to write, allow your mind to neutralise. On the first go you will be fighting yourself. Notice your thoughts and the things you tell yourself. Once you have observed these your mind will begin to release you into channelling. Some of the information will come from your own psyche and other parts will feel as though they come from a higher source. The way to tell the difference is a slight change in your energy which will begin to feel lighter.
What channelling can do for youMany famous figures in history have in fact channelled the information they required in order to create their masterpiece.
Musicians, composers, artists, writers all say that they got their inspiration through a muse or a higher being. What they’re usually referring to is channelling or tapping into a different state of being.
This allows creativity to be lifted to a whole new level. It is not just the physical body that’s performing, but a spiritual influence that adds to it. Channelling begins with tapping into your soul and letting it overcome you with an exalted energy that gives a greater reaction.
You can bring this same energy into your life and whatever you want to achieve and use it to channel to a higher level of success in whatever you do.
Unconsciously, we are all channelling energy into our bodies. We do this through our daily activities…laughter, anger, love.
The conscious channelling of high frequency energy allows us to do more; we achieve mental clarity and intuitively receive information.
Channelling even in its most basic form helps us to see our perceptions in life and to view the bigger picture. Many of those I know who have experienced channelling describe their life as more prosperous, with new attitudes and a clearer image of their sense of purpose. They have gained a higher level of trust in their inner messages.
Now you are ready for the meditation process, which is powerful way to harness your ability to channel.

Anxiety Release Method – ‘The Pencil’Most of us hold on to things very tightly in our lives. We hold on to what we know; the people we know, and the situations that are familiar. This is a normal trait within human behaviour
Karen is in a relationship with Phil they have been together for many years. Both have previously been in long-term relationships too and have children from those marriages. Phil is not an easy person for Karen to live with. Even before he lost his job he was already pretty challenging. Instead of talking something through, their discussions would end up in full blown arguments because he would never discuss anything. His answer to a disagreement would be for him to go off to the spare room with a book and ignore Karen whilst she would be on the phone trying to sort out child visiting arrangements with his ex-wife because he wouldn’t do it himself.
When Phil had lost his job he was out of work for over two years. Karen was busy working full-time to make sure there was enough money coming in to keep everything going. During that time, Karen would ask Phil to do some of the household chores, especially as he was at home all day. When she would return home from work, he would be on the computer typing away chatting to friends exactly where he had been when she had left for work in the morning.
He would be surrounded by washing, shrunken clothes, (where he had cooked them in the tumble dryer) dirty dishes, and full rubbish sacks which hadn’t quite made it to the wheelie bin outside. When Karen would complain, he would look at her with horror that she should be so cross at the mess he was creating. She saw all of his behaviour as hugely disrespectful, especially as she had made it clear on countless occasions that he needed to help as he was at home twenty-four hours a day.
Driven to the edgeThe situation drove Karen to the verge of a nervous break-down. There was no getting through to Phil or making any difference to his behaviour whatsoever. After a year of it, she found herself going to the doctor to be prescribed medication to help calm her nerves. Everyone around Karen was asking the obvious question as to why she was staying with him if she was so unhappy with the situation.
We all have the habit of staying with a situation rather than changing the obvious. To everyone else it was obvious Karen’s situation needed changing: ‘Why don’t you talk to him about it?’ Was the obvious question, or: ‘Why don’t you ask him to leave if he refuses to adjust?’ Her excuses extended from worrying about being on her own to worrying about Phil and how he would cope on his own. The fact of the matter was that he was a man she couldn’t change. In her mind, if he didn’t change then it meant she was a failure, so best to live in ‘hope’ of a change rather than deal with the reality.
How the Pencil worksThe Pencil is a powerful yet simple meditation to perfect lasting change when we are faced in life with a situation that entices the same, or similar emotional reaction Karen was experiencing. The effort required to hold on to something tightly is enormous yet we are all guilty of doing this. We hold onto what we know as if it were life itself. We hold onto the familiarity of it even though it’s incredibly uncomfortable or unsuitable.
This is how people get caught in addictions, repetitive behaviours, and patterns.
‘The Pencil’ is a simple method of release. Within the psyche, pressure is created during this meditation process so you realise just how much effort is required to keep life changes and improvements at bay. Through the meditation, with a very simple movement within the mind’s eye, the pressure is dropped and released.
We walk around clutching a pencilMetaphorically we wander around in life holding a pencil as tightly as we possibly can in a clenched fist. As you can imagine, after a while your hand will become tired and weary from holding on so tightly.
Soon the only focus you have, the only thing you can see in life, is the pencil you’re clutching. Your fist begins to ache, you’re worn out from the concentration required to hold the pencil and it’s the only thing you talk about to others in your life, or you sit and suffer in silence. More often than not, you compare things with your friends and family or the person you meet on the street and ponder how uncomfortable it is to be clutching the pencil.
Karen’s pencil was her partner Phil. He wouldn’t do what she wanted or even hear what she wanted. Every time she awoke each morning she was reminded of how tightly she was holding the pencil until the pain was such she required medication for it.
Karen would compare notes with other people who were holding pencils like Phil, or she would avoid the situation altogether pretending the tightly held object didn’t exist. When we do this we become defensive and unapproachable, the concentration required for the pencil has increased to the extent that we become snappy if our attention is diverted towards it. If friends and family try and tell us the pencil is turning our hand blue, we behave as if don’t want to know. It becomes a case of: ‘Yes, thank you, I know my hand is turning blue, but I don’t want to deal with it and am going to continue to hold it, for now at least.’
Dropping the pencilTo release the pencil from the palm of your hand is a surprisingly simple task. It isn’t something we readily do or even know how to do. The process for releasing the pencil is the meditation process which accompanies this session. When we realise what it is we are holding tightly we can consciously choose to let it go. Letting the pencil drop from our palm doesn’t mean the person or the situation goes away, it means it is free to breathe and choose its own way. The tension from your whole system is released. You have two hands free for starters and with two hands free you can more clearly see your way forward or at least grasp at the things you want because your mindset is free enough to receive.
This is the key to your intuitive and spiritual progress, especially as an Intuitive Sensitive person. If you have one hand busy gripping a pencil, your focus is one dimensional as it only has one direction. Everything is essentially focussed around gripping the pencil rather than seeing the larger picture is through your intuitive instincts. When you drop the pencil you can see clearly! Your mind isn’t directed towards the growing pain in your fist.
Now follow the process for discovering and dropping your pencil.
Final thought:
What we see depends mainly on what we look for.”
John Lubbock

Aura ColoursPeople always ask me if certain colours in the aura mean particular things. The answer is, it varies. I remember the first time I really saw the aura around someone. It was a work colleague in the office I happened to be working in at the time. Her aura was a bright green colour, with hints of a darker, leafy green, the colour of ivy.
Green is usually associated with the heart chakra although on many occasions I have seen this chakra as a pink or rose coloured energy. Most people reject the colour green. Green is the least liked colour on the spectrum unless associated with nature. This is because most people instantly reject their heart centre energy.
Interestingly though, I recently spoke to a little girl of five years old. A delightful child who I have known since birth, she is a very heart-warming person. Her first concern is always how others are. If someone is a little under the weather she is busy making them a card, highly intelligent, she has an amazing interest in the written word and at this very young age, can read any adult book probably better than most adults. This little girl is both very intelligent and very dreamy. Her favourite colour surprised me, I expected it to be pink. Her favourite colour is actually green and it has to be a very specific tone of green! The tone is the colour I saw all those years ago around my work colleague. Her favourite colour is the heart chakra energy. Certainly she radiates this energy in her character and hopefully as she grows up she will be able to maintain this purity of spirit. Much of it, I believe, she is able to absorb from all the stories and poems she likes to read. She absorbs it to the extent she becomes it, something we've all forgotten how to do as we get so taken over by the pressures of everyday life.
Our Psyche knows the coloursMost sensitives at some point go through phases of being attracted to certain colours. We have all gone through the pink and lilac phase where most of our wardrobe or home furnishings take on a pink or lilac glow, but after a while our attraction may shift to different colours.
It is usual for sensitive's to go through a phase of needing red' in their auric field. This is often after the pink and lilac phase. The need for red doesn't usually last long or it will be for short bursts of time. Red is obviously associated with the base chakra, when we need red in our aura, we will find ourselves wanting to wear red clothes or to sit on red furniture. This is because sensitive's especially if they have gone through a strong energy clearing phase, will need to come back to earth' so to speak.
You'll often see in waiting rooms the chairs are red. Why is that? Unconsciously even waiting room chair designers know red is a grounding colour. What do we need to do before going in for a meeting or a dentist appointment? We need to ground ourselves. The next time you see this you'll know why it's the red chair you want to sit on!
We also do this with the colour blue. Blue is a healing colour and it is extremely common for healing energy during a Spiritual healing session to be seen as a soothing blue. The next time you're at the doctors' surgery or you go and sit in a hospital waiting room look around, you'll notice the seats are blue.
The black attractionYou'll have noticed many people are attracted to the colour black. This is with their clothes, their choice of car, and even shoes. People who are uncertain of themselves will be attracted to the colour black. As their sense of self-esteem changes you'll notice their wardrobe begins to brighten and has more of a variety of colours. Black is the colour of the unseen, it is obviously a colour associated with making clothes more flattering but if you think about it, why is someone wanting to wear clothes that hide who they are? It will be because they are not comfortable with, for instance, their appearance or body shape. Black is also seen as the colour of authority, but again, an over use of the colour suggests a person doesn't feel they are taken as seriously as they should be.
You will find as a sensitive you are increasingly uncomfortable with wearing black on the top half of your body without a brighter colour to fire life into it. This is because black attracts negative energy into the auric field. Black is a sticking energy rather than a releasing energy. The darker base colour for instance will protect your own field when you're feeling a bit vulnerable with a brighter colour on top as it will deflect others' sticky energy away from you. For example, a black top worm under a bright pink cardigan or another bright colour. You will notice, however much you try to wear just black on your top half, the energy of your auric field will somehow just not let you.
Noticing the coloursIt is good for you to notice the colours of your own auric field. This doesn't have to be a case of seeing them with your physical eyes, it can be with your third eye. Your third eye will give you an impression of the dominant energy in your field. To progress your psychic and spiritual development it is necessary to really know what's going on in your field in order to correctly monitor your progress and to highlight the areas that still need adjustment. Remember though, your journey is a journey, it is not a destination. The more you explore, the more you realise how much more there is to learn. You are though very clearly committed to your own progress and that deserves a pat on the back, be patient with yourself, enjoy the process rather than strive for the destination. You're doing a great job!
Now follow the meditation to feel what your energy is currently illuminating.
Final thought:
Everything is out there waiting for you. All you have to do is walk up and declare yourself in. No need for permission. You just need courage to say, “Include me”. Providing you have the energy to pull it off you can do what you like. And the Universal Law, being impartial, will be only too delighted to deliver.”
Stuart Wilde

Opening Yourself to Deep KnowledgeThe Da’ath energy is associated with the ‘tree of life’ which is very closely linked to the Qabalah, the spiritual form of the ancient Hebrew tradition of the Kabbalah, the path of inner growth and wisdom.
Karen had been married for more than thirty years. Her husband Keith had decided after a long and seemingly happy marriage to leave the marital home to be on his own. Karen was devastated as she hadn’t seen any signs of an impending split so the whole experience took her by surprise.
When I saw Karen she could barely string a few words together before bursting into tears. Keith had been gone a few months yet the experience was still very raw. Karen wanted him back, she would do anything she needed to do in order for him to return home. She asked me what she should do.
When I looked at the energy I had a strong feeling that all would be fine for Karen. I felt she had been living her life through her husband. They had met early in life, they were both about fourteen when they first knew each other. During that time I felt Karen had become an extension of Keith rather than being her own person. From Keith’s energy I could feel that he didn’t find her ‘clinging’ nature attractive.
I asked her if she felt she could be rather insecure and clingy. She agreed that at times that was exactly the way Keith had described her. The energy felt to me as though Keith wanted a bit of breathing space and to do things he had never achieved in his life what some might call a ‘mid-life crisis.’ I felt Karen was going through a very uncomfortable transformation but getting to the other side would be worth it for her.
The Da’ath Energy Karen’s experience was very much an aspect of the Da’ath energy. This is the energy all sensitive’s pass through at some stage of their development. It is the energy that portrays aspects of life in
a very dramatic way. It is the opportunity for deep knowledge and respect for the self but many people in life miss the opportunity, and wallow very much in the victimisation of the energy.
When active, the Da’ath energy shows us the deepest challenges we will ever have to pass through. These challenges are indicative of deep self-knowledge presented in a fashion that suggests
completely the opposite. The Da’ath energy can first present itself as separation, abandonment and loss. Astrologically the Da’ath energy is the Pluto energy, the energy of mass destruction and transformation. It will force the change whether you like it or not.
Pebbles, Bricks & BouldersLife has three stages of change. Change is inevitable yet we as humans do whatever we can do to try and keep things the same, even if it is uncomfortable. We will repeat the same patterns
over and over again in order to avoid change because for some irrational reason we think it is preferable to something different.
The three stages start with the pebbles. Life will throw a few pebbles at your window to attract your attention. The pebbles are trying to say ‘excuse me please, we need to head in this (other) direction’. These are the little nudges of inspiration and inner knowledge, most of which we ignore unless we train ourselves to trust the little signs.
Life throws the pebbles for a while, usually allowing enough time for us to notice the nudge'. But when we ignore the pebbles, then come the bricks …which can be a bit of a shock! The bricks can smash windows, but some people can even live with smashed windows. They just board things up.
The bricks are very clear signs that something needs to adjust. Often though we make excuses for things that clearly don’t work for us, such as the work we’re doing or the people we mix with or the food we eat… It’s not until things become too painful that we finally surrender and seek to make the adjustment that was always inevitable – and even then, we do it with a lot of resistance.
The boulders come when we’ve ignored both the pebbles and the bricks. The boulders are the immoveable situations and now we have no choice but to adjust. The windows have gone; the boulder came straight through the ceiling and landed in our lap. We have no choice in this situation but to accept something needs to change.
When it’s Da’athDa’ath is the boulder energy. When it is active we have no choice but to respond. The shock of the Da’ath energy often leads to us standing there looking innocent with our up-turned palms saying “What did I do?” The signs were always there, we chose to ignore them in the hope something would change all by itself. The sensitive however, has no choice but to accept the adjustments which have to be made. The reason is because, by our very nature, we are sensitive to the changes needed earlier on.
The Da’ath energy is the boulder of life smashing through your boarded up windows. Da’ath will not hear your protests, it seeks to balance and steer you towards the deepest parts of your internal changes and deep self-knowledge.
When questioned Karen realised she’d had plenty of pebble moments, Keith encouraged her for years to have some interests of her own. He had also asked her to not look to him constantly for reassurance and he had tried to dampen down her jealously towards anyone who wanted to talk to him. These were all signs Karen needed to adjust something. Keith as an individual was growing internally and wanted to be with someone who reflected that energy, and not with someone who was very insecure. He had given her plenty of opportunities to adjust, yet Karen kept behaving in the same way.
When I spoke to her she was busy boarding up her windows. I told her there was little point in doing that and hoping for the best. “If you want him back then become someone you’d like to be with” I said. “What do you mean?” was her reply. I explained she needed to become someone who she would see as an attractive person. All Keith could see was low self-esteem and constant internal put-downs from someone who he dearly loved but didn’t want to be around.
She said all that should matter is on the inside, so what if she’d put some weight on over the years and had got older, everyone does that. Of course I agreed with her, “It is of course what matters on the inside. The trouble is Karen you don’t see yourself as attractive on the inside.”
That seemed to be Karen’s ‘boulder’ moment. It finally landed in her lap and she could see change was going to be a positive thing not a negative.
Karen suddenly understood her attitude' as unattractive rather than her being an unattractive person. She suddenly felt inside of herself that Keith did love her very much and always had done. What he didn’t love was her self-deprivation and put downs – it had worn him out.
Karen’s Da’ath moment was a heavy energy to process, she could see in that moment exactly what she needed to do.
It’s never about the other personKaren finally realised she had been projecting onto Keith all her own self doubts and making them his issue. He had been the focus of all her self-deprivation and she had been treating him in a
way that she herself would find very draining if the shoe had been on the other foot.
Dry your tearsKaren, as a sensitive, could see her world very quickly. Sensitive’s make the shifts they need to very quickly once they see the offending energy behind a behaviour pattern. She suddenly saw it
she dried her eyes, and said, “Thank you so much.” A few months later I heard from Karen again. She had been working on herself significantly enough to have ‘given up’ her insecurities as though she’d given up eating doughnuts for good except for the occasional bite. She and Keith were back together, their marriage had become something happier than it had ever been…
Now follow the meditation to meet and solve your Da’ath energy.

Energy Balls & How to Tidy Your Inner WorldThe state of your spare bedroom is a very good indicator of how you respect the emotion of love.
Marion sat in front of me. She gave off a lovely energy, a kind person with a big heart but sadness in her persona. I asked her to be the guinea pig for an exercise I was demonstrating during an intuitive development workshop. As she came up to the front of the room I could feel the energy she gave off immediately. “Hi, Marion, you have a lovely energy, but a deep sadness in your heart. This is about being let down in your marriage and then deciding to leave the situation but you respect your decision, and you’re not bitter about it. You rarely put yourself first, you would like some help with the sadness but you’d never ask. You are a family person with two adult children and a house full of clutter.” Marion looked sheepish, “How do you know that?”
The information was written all over Marion’s energy field. It was information anyone could have picked up, but rarely do we look or listen hard enough to notice. The listening is not with your physical ears, you’re not waiting to hear with your ‘energy ears’. This is the subtle energy that emanates from the emotional auric field
A Tidy HouseTo have a good idea of what needs tidying in your inner house have a look at your ‘outer’ house. Do you store things? Are you overly sentimental? Have you a garage full of rubbish you’d rather forget about? Do you have a spare bedroom that’s used as a dumping ground?
The Spare RoomThe spare bedroom is a very good indicator of how you respect the emotion of love. The spare room is about relationships, you buy a house with a spare bedroom to accept guests into your home, or you have the intention of using that space as anoffice. Somehow or another it never quite happens – the bed you never bought, or you did buy and it’s now stacked with boxes of stuff you haven’t looked at for months. The room is cold, it feels unloved, therefore it’s a great place to dump stuff.
If you have a spare bedroom that you’re treating in this way then sure enough you’ll find your inner attitude to love matches this vibration. This is the part of you left out in the cold, feels dumped on and not whole heartedly included.
Healing the ‘spare bedroom’If part of your healing requires an improvement to your attitude to love then start with the ‘spare bedroom.’ If you have a literal spare bedroom that resonates with the above, then go and sit in it. Whilst in there have a sense of what it feels like and the emotions you feel when in there. Let yourself sense the part of you that feels left out. Once you have pondered the emotions you’ll feel the desire to make your lonely spare bedroom part of the rest of the house.
The garage of the mindThe garage of most houses is to one side of the property. If you have a garage full of stuff you’re storing through sentimentality or because you might need it', then have a think about what you put to one side in your life. It might be a garage full of rubbish you’ve been meaning to sort out and take to the local dump but you’ve not quite got around to it.
If any of the above rings true, this is a good indication of what your psyche is waiting to clear if only you had the time to think about it. Your life has become over full and out of balance. If you have this going on energetically it is time to put some thought into addressing the work – life balance in order to allow yourself more time for your own dreams and wishes rather than fulfilling everyone else's.
Clearing the ‘garage’ of the mindWhen I asked Marion about her clutter she told me how much stuff her garage had in it. It had things associated with her marriage, her own stuff, and she’d been storing her daughter’s belongings in there as well.
“Exactly,” I said, “In your ‘garage’ is everyone else’s stuff on top of your own. It’s sitting right there in your solar plexus. Your energy is in overwhelm it’s stuffed to the brim. I bet you’ve been struggling with stomach problems as well.” Marion agreed, she had been in overwhelm for some time and that she was suffering from stomach problems.”How do I sort it out?” she asked.
Marion needed to first build her sense of worth high enough to feel she was worthy of releasing the stored energy. Clearing her ‘garage’ was going to take a bit of time as she liked to do things at a steady pace. First of all she needed to start with a list of all the aspects of her life she’d become overly sentimental about. She began to do some work on releasing the feelings around her ex-husband and all the old papers she’d stored for years. She suddenly decided they had to leave her house.
After some time I heard from Marion again, she phoned with a very excited tone to tell me she’d finally got the courage to clear her actual garage. “Everything is neat and tidy. I’ve thrown out or given away all the things in there that I no longer use. I phoned my daughter and told her to come and collect all this stuff she hadn’t looked at for years''.
Now the garage is super tidy just with the things I need. The weird thing is, Heidi, for years I’ve been trying to lose some weight. I’ve tried every diet going but nothing has worked. Since I cleared the garage out, all that excess weight around my middle is shrinking. It’s all slipping off without much effort.”
Funny that..

Recognising The Enemy WithinOur biggest enemy in life doesn’t have a physical body or arms and legs.
It has no weapons of a physical nature. But it is able to sit calmly dictating our future, if we let it.
Elizabeth was fantastic at her job, she worked hard for those who employed her and loved her work. She approached everything she did with complete efficiency and a huge sense of purpose, often working late, which she didn’t mind because she enjoyed what she was doing.
Elizabeth wanted though to include some different layers to her work. Her hobby was making jewellery she wanted to make this part of her working world. When she came to me she wanted to know if making and selling jewellery was going to work for her. She wanted to sell her wares at weekend country markets and other venues.
When I looked into the energy I felt it was a brilliant idea for her. She wouldn’t have wanted to do it full-time because she enjoyed her day job so much but it would give her the creative output she craved and a sense of joy selling the pieces that she’d made. I told her how great an idea it would be for her to pursue this.
I heard from Elizabeth about three months after her session. She couldn’t concentrate at work, she had started to make quite big mistakes and had become completely distracted to the point her work colleagues were beginning to notice and reprimand her for the decline in the quality of her work.
She didn’t know what had happened to her. The first question I asked was about how the jewellery business was going. Had she started to put some plans into action and get going? She told me how that had completely been put to one side. Why? I asked.
She protested she didn’t have the confidence to set-up her own small business. When I had said it would a brilliant idea for her, it triggered the button of self-destruction. The confidence issue hadn’t only snuffed out her business dreams but was beginning to deeply affect her day job. That sneaky voice inside started to say “Sabotage yourself” and “You can’t have it all.” Elizabeth though, was oblivious to the internal unconscious dialogue.
UnchallengedThe enemy within resides unchallenged in the majority of us. We accept it as given that we should respond to the array of emotions bopping about in the psyche. As we become more ‘sensitive’ to the energies around us, the enemy within becomes more subtle and distant. What we are able to see as glaringly obvious in other people becomes less exposed in our own psyche. This is why a lot of Intuitive Sensitives find people in their lives with a over developed sense of drama. This is to show us in a very expressive way the areas in our own psyche that need attention and discipline.
I recently attended Cesar Millan, The Dog Whisperer tour. This is a little Mexican man who has complete control and discipline over the way he handles dogs. In a stadium full of people he explained the key areas of how to handle your dog and the mistakes most owners make.
There were howls of laughter as he mimed the relationship most people have with their dog. Within this sketch he showed quite clearly how to change the situation to very quickly gain amazing results for both the human and the dog.
How many people in that stadium will actually apply the methods? Very few. They will go home and do what they’ve always done, making the same mistakes over and over again. The question remains, why do people do this?
Fear of change and fear of failureAs we develop our senses and become more conscious we have no choice but to overcome the fear of change and failure. You will find someone is currently in your life, or will come into your life who will push you to grow. The true Intuitive Sensitive recognises these people, and situations as opportunities for growth rather than awful challenges. When such situations are recognised as growth opportunities and embraced as such, the enemy within becomes quiet and settled.
Mental PeaceWhen your mind is disciplined, even if you are surrounded by hostility, your peace of mind will hardly be disturbed. If it is disturbed, it will only be for short periods of time rather than long drawn out angers towards the self or others. This is because a disciplined mind lets go of its attachments very willingly and easily. An undisciplined mind will try to keep the hostility and hurt going for as long as possible, seeking to punish at every opportunity.
At Peace With Your EnemyThis is a simple exercise to detect your inner enemy and begin to build a knowledge of its existence if you wish to do something about it. Many people are aware of their inner enemy but act passively towards it and ‘give in’ to its influence.
Think of a situation past or present that has made you angry. Rather than go into the space, think of how to observe this energy. As you observe, what is your part to play within the scenario? What part of it is your responsibility? What is the other person or situation reflecting to you?
Usually the responsibility falls somewhere within your communication skills. Where have you not been clearly communicating with yourself or others? This energy is often very subtle so be patient for the response. Once you have the response allow yourself to observe until you receive an ‘aha’ moment. If struggling, then discuss it with a friend and observe their behaviours. Do they express your own judgements?
When the energy has finished the feeling of neutrality will emerge followed by a knowledge as to why a person behaves as they do. It doesn’t mean you have to accept their behaviour, it simply means you understand it enough to release the internal attachment, therefore flushing out the enemy within. As we do this it opens us up to new and forever deepening levels of our psychic senses.
Now follow the meditation process.

ATTACHMENT & CONSCIOUSNESSWe often confuse attachment with love.
Attachment is the feeling we obtain from emotional contact with events, things and people. We will only take action should we be able to guarantee a certain conclusion. We do this to protect our inner world from feelings of vulnerability and hurt. Some attachments slow our development: we get caught in the need to control our own process rather than allow our destiny path to open in the direction that’s the most productive for us.
Michelle's Hollywood look on love meant she never got a star partMichelle had been in a relationship with Mike for a number of years.
Having gone through a divorce, Michelle was keen to remarry, mainly because she wanted to have a family and could see the opportunity beginning to drift away.
When Mike asked her to marry him at Christmas she was delighted to accept. But after a few months of accepting Mike’s marriage proposal, Michelle decided he was not the one.
Now alone and single Michelle began to obsess over finding the man for her. She found it very difficult tostay at home, and always had to be out, just in case she should bump into her ideal partner. Her compulsion to visit psychics continued to increase until it also became an obsession. By the time she sat down in front of me she had visited numerous Tarot readers, searching for answers as to when she would meet her Mr Right. Her many readings led her to believe she would soon meet her perfect man but he had still not appeared. Her first and only question for me was around her search for the ideal partner.
When I looked at Michelle’s energy it wanted to talk about her past relationships rather than go forward searching for her future. When I mentioned this to Michelle she started to insist on looking at the energy for her future relationships.
“Sorry Michelle but that just isn’t going to happen,” I said. “Before you look at the future, your energy is insisting you heal the past. Without that you will not have a successful relationship. Every man you have met so far has either not lived up to expectations or has reminded you too much of your ex-husband.”
Michelle burst into tears. She had spent a long time making herself thinner to feel more attractive to possible partners. However, either every new man she met did indeed remind her of her ex-husband or the potential wouldn't realise, for some other reason.
In my view, she appeared too desperate. Her neediness and apparent desire to be attractive to all who met her was deeply rooted in her insecurities and lack of self-esteem.
“Let’s have a look at the energy of your ex-husband,” I said.
As I looked into the trapped energy in her system around relationships, it became clear her past was dictating her present. We worked on moving her attachments to certain outcomes. Her Hollywood view of relationships had come from her childhood ideal. However, in the real world her experience was different. It seemed no man could emotionally satisfy her deep insecurities and therefore she was continually disappointed.
Letting go of her attachments proved rather challenging for Michelle. She was convinced it also meant letting go of any opportunities for romance. Her inner world had become used to licking its wounds and nursing the hurts, so actually preparing her system to allow life to flow was rather difficult for her.
Eventually she managed it.
I asked her; “Do you need a relationship in order to enjoy your life now?” Her answer came back, “No!” My next question was, “Do you still need to keep searching?” Again it was a no.
Michelle sat there looking perplexed. “So it happened just like that? It feels strange, I’m trying to find those feelings again but I can’t. I sort of feel nothing. Well, not ‘nothing’ – I would say I feel neutral. It’s fine if I meet someone, but it’s also fine if I don’t.”
By releasing her attachments to particular outcomes, Michelle was able to open her life up again to living rather than existing.
ATTACHMENT AND COLLECTIVE UNCONSCIOUSThis attachment to the physical world, which you accept at birth, is your prominent challenge through your lifetime. Your spiritual goal is to step over it. Eventually there is the realisation that in order to become part of a higher consciousness you have to leave where you are in life right now, and bound forward into the unknown. That’s why the path of the Sensitive can feel lonely: as you move away from your old energy there is a sense of loss. As you take the step forward, your perceptions of who you are and what the world is to you, begin to expand and gradually you start to accept your higher frequencies and vibration.
As you lose your attachments, your consciousness expands to ‘see’ the deeper aspects of the self. You become more sensitive to the subtlety of energies around you. You find you can use your feelings to guide you successfully through life.
As you move into a situation, push your feelings in there first. Ask yourself some questions:
You may not be able to see the subtle energies around you, but increasingly your perception of them through your heightened senses allows you to perceive them. Before you know it, the Universe is popping things up in front of you. Events in your life gather pace and energy and you begin to feel them weeks – even years – before they arrive in your physical world.
THE RELEASE OF ATTACHMENTSGenerally, for most Sensitives the path of the release of attachments happens whether you like it or not. Relationships change, the old energies that suggest you are attached to certain outcomes push to the surface to expose old wounds. This is not a punishment, or a mass of karmic debt: it is the release of tribal patterns entrenched through inherited beliefs and collective social perceptions.
Most Sensitives begin to find themselves suspended on the fringe of their physical world, existing in some sort of dream state. This is the transition from worrying about what others think, and seeing yourself only through their eyes, and moving into your own world and vibration.
Releasing old attachments is a hugely freeing experience for the psyche as we enter the vibrational world of our deeper senses.
Michelle joined one of my classes. After a short while she began to settle into enjoying her life as it is' rather than how it should be'. She consistently worked on adjusting her attachments, and her desire for fixed outcomes. As she began to do this she allowed herself to become a woman free of the constraints of worrying about what others think of her. During this transitional phase she allowed herself to laugh again properly. Perhaps for the first time in her life she found herself relaxing and began to look forward to the simplicities of life.
Before long, Michelle was describing a man she had met. She used the magic words I had hoped she would one day say to me: “Heidi, it’s strange: he’s not my usual type . . !”
EXERCISEDiscover your attachmentsAsk yourself the following questions. Wait for the answers: let your energy talk, not your head.
Sense your reactions in your system.
Now, imagine holding all that tension in your hand. Imagine your hand tightening around a pencil in your palm. The pencil represents your attachments. Let your hand clamp around the imaginary pencil. This is how you hold on to things.
After a while your hand will ache as holding the pencil that tight becomes hard work. Keep tightening your grip – this is the pressure that builds before a release.
And now, in your mind, release your fist and allow the pencil to drop to the floor – let it go.
Feel the tension drop with it.

True Happiness & The Compassionate MindThe compassionate mind is a place within the self that exists in a state of peace.
It is free of judgements towards the self and others. It is a place of positive thoughts and intense happiness.
True happiness can be defined in two ways; mental and physical.
It is the mental which asserts the most influence.
Unless we are ill or lack the very basic needs, our physical body plays a secondary role in life. If the body is happy, we virtually ignore it.
The mental field, however, registers every event in life, however small.
The majority of the mind activity in this sense operates from the solar plexus region; this is the area of the compassionate mind which we all need to work on.
The CentreSelf-centredness inhibits our love for others.
It is the personality-self that tries to keep us separate and centred around the self. It is the development of the solar plexus, in terms of the mind-centre, which takes us to the next level of consciousness.
How do we develop this? It is a case of using the events of our daily life to transform our beliefs and behaviour.
Karen's Energy of Anger Karen struggled with her emotions. A person who had never really had any responsibility outside of herself she was in a constant state of wrestling with her emotions. Many people in her life found her to be very aggressive although occasionally humorous. Most waited for the humour to surface in the hope it would stay. Her friends got to see her funny side but those more closely associated with her life were the ones experiencing the aggression. Karen knew she was in this place and would be mortified each time someone actually spoke up and highlighted the varying emotions.
She asked me what she could do about it. She wanted to know how she could handle her insecurities that led to the aggression. When I looked into her energy I saw a very intuitive and creative person who had suppressed these abilities with the harsh energy of anger and resentment.
Karen was not best pleased when I highlighted these energies and her old insecurities arose. She became really quite aggressive. I sat there and, in my mind, offered out the feeling of non-attachment to her behaviour and forgave the intensity of her aggression. I did not mention one word, I just sat there offering the feeling. Within a few moments she began to sob, there was an out pouring of grief from the deepest parts of her psyche. She explained how alone and isolated she had felt. The compassionate mind cannot be anything else than a healing experience. Sometimes it is not about channelling healing in terms of light, it is about channelling what is already there, deep in ourselves the intense unconditional kindness of the compassionate self.
This part of our psyche is not something we have to force ourselves to obtain, it is already there. It is about developing a discipline to overcome the insecurities of the personality self.
We are programmed for affection. It is not natural to keep ourselves separate from ourselves and others as it creates pain in the psyche to the extent that it develops into a very harsh attitude devoid of feeling. When we begin to think bigger than ourselves, the compassionate mind is triggered.
Our Purpose To Be HappyThe Dalai Lama believes our life purpose is to be happy. We are not machine like objects, we consist of feelings and experiences. If life was meant to be mechanical then machines would be able to provide all our human needs. As it is, they will never fulfil that role.
Various companies have realised automated customer service systems inhibit rather than encourage growth. People want to speak to a real human being and will rarely tolerate the long-term use of talking to a machine. We are designed for connection; solitary children who spend too long in front of computer games are now having treatment for the impact this causes. It is not the same as children playing together. That is because the human experience is designed for connection. It is connection that triggers the compassionate mind.
The Compassionate Mind & Psychic AbilityPsychic skills and ability are most certainly linked within the energy of the solar plexus and the compassionate mind. In order to develop a deep understanding of your own psychic skills it is necessary to lighten the load of the mental mind. This means the process of moving from a ‘head’ based reality to a stronger body awareness and how you feel. The more confident you become in your own energy and how you work as an individual, the stronger your natural psychic skills become.
The ability strengthens to the degree that you are able to tune into any event, person or situation at will, and find the information and interpret it accurately. This is because the mental energy is quiet and when it is quiet it can interpret the subtlety of energy flow. The compassionate mind opens up to allow the expanse of all that is to flow through the energy of the solar plexus, as this happens we open to our deeper wisdom.
Now follow the meditation to experience the essence of the compassionate mind…

Positive ChaosDoes it hurt enough for you to do anything about it?Chaos to most of us means the thought of being out of control, in disarray, and in the depths of panic.
We take it to mean times in our life when events take an unexpected turn and throw things into a place we don’t understand.
Fiona's storyFiona had disliked her job for years. She started it as a means of earning her money to pay her bills and it remained as that for the years she worked there. Resentfully, she got up every weekday morning and went off to work. She was employed by a large corporation and she saw herself as just another number on a spreadsheet in this large building; busy in her job but unappreciated.
Fiona wanted to leave her job. She complained about it continually to herself and other people. People around her became quite drained from hearing about her consistent dislike of her circumstances. When asked: ‘Why don’t you leave?’ her response was always, ‘It pays a good salary; I need the money.’
One morning Fiona was called into HQ. She was told the company was restructuring. Her job no longer existed: one of her colleagues would be taking on her responsibilities.
They had concluded she was the person to be made redundant because she had complained so much about the work that she would likely be leaving anyway, so they thought it would be a pleasant relief – she could leave the job he hated with a few months' money in her pocket.
Fiona complained even more! Now she wanted the job! She was desperate to stay in her current position, or to be re-employed in a different department. She really didn't want to leave.
When she came to me, I asked her, ‘Why do you want to stay, when you hate it so much?’
It was quickly obvious – Fiona wanted to stay because the job was familiar to her. Even though she didn’t like her circumstances and spent much of her time wishing they would change, she continued to stay in the job because the thought of taking action and the possibility of failing were too great a risk for her even to contemplate.
The familiar versus the risk of changeI was once told a story some years ago that I have always remembered. It’s the story of the dog and the nail.
A young man was walking down the street one day, when he came across an old man sitting in a rocking chair.
There was a dog lying at his feet, and the dog was whining and moaning to the point of distraction.
The young man asked the old man, “What is wrong with your dog? Why is he whining and making such a noise?”
The old man replied, “Oh, he’s sitting on a nail”.
The young man asked, “If he’s sitting on a nail, why doesn’t he just stand up and move?”
The old man replied, “Because it doesn’t hurt enough yet.”
This analogy is relevant to everyone’s life at some point or another. We all whine and complain but do little to change things.
What is it about human nature that’s so attracted to the familiar?
The personality self would rather put up with what it knows, and be in pain with it, than seek to change things. When we are in a reasonable frame of mind we wonder why on earth we would do that? Surely it’s common sense to make a small action and everything improves. The dog only has to stand up and move slightly to one side and he’d no longer be sitting on the nail.
From the perspective of the essence self, often our continuous habits in life don’t make sense to our progression. That all changes as the ‘sensitive’ awakens. We begin to find events start to take a distinct turn out of our personal control.
For some people, relationships change, jobs alter, and a growing need to find ‘purpose’ begins to throw itself into our open world. This happens because the psyche wishes to stretch open and the essence requires access to its full experience on the earth plane.
To do this it needs our psyche to loosen up enough to listen to our deepest instincts.
How positive chaos startsPositive chaos starts when the psyche of the awakening sensitive refuses to accept the fear of failure as an excuse to stop trying. The chaos will start as an inward ‘knowing’ that grows into an inward ‘doing’.
That change will come at the moment in your life you’re standing on the edge of a pool and dancing around deciding if you should jump in. All the metaphorical thoughts will be bouncing around your head – ‘Should I? Shouldn’t I? What if I drown? What if the water is too cold?’
The awakening sensitive has either experienced a previous dive and goes straight in, or the ‘swimming instructor’ sees you dancing around on the edge and pushes you in. After a moment of anger, because you feel the choice was taken away from you, you realise the water is pleasant, and warm, and you start to swim.
There are plenty of people who dance on that edge and become resentful because others are diving in around them. They want the world to stop until they are ready. That’s not how it works.
The Universal flow doesn’t stop for anyone. When we try and control the outcome too much the chaos grows. We spend too much time trying to persuade those diving in around us to stop so we can control when we jump in the pool.
Fiona had been doing just that. She had been trying to stop others from jumping in the pool until she was ready. The fact is, if she hadn’t been pushed by the ‘swimming instructor’ of Life, the inward desire for change would have started to rot into a downward spiral of negativity.
After I had spoken to her, Fiona started to perk up and began to see her job circumstances as an opportunity to change – not only in her attitude, but also to understand that the desire to change was her own inner desire.
Within a couple of weeks of speaking to her, Fiona called to say she applied for jobs she really wanted to do. She had been invited for interviews to three of them. She was later delighted to say she’d been offered two of them and had started one she really liked, with more money, and colleagues who really appreciated her.

Home Sweet HomeThe psyche experiences the feeling of wanting to return ‘home’ but without knowing what ‘home’ is.
At some stage during the development process there is a feeling that awakens somewhere deep within. That feeling is an expression of your consciousness awakening to the realisation there is an energy bigger than the expression of the personality self.
As the essence self begins to play a larger part in your everyday life, the personality self begins to recognise the beauty of this part of you. It is a new world for the personality self as it begins to really feel the connection between the inner and outer reality. The psyche experiences this as the feeling of wanting to return ‘home’ but without knowing what ‘home’ is.
The Call HomeThe call home starts with an increase in co-incidence, dreams that turn out to be premonitions, the desire for more meaning to your home, work, and personal life. It often starts with an increase in emotions which are more readily ignited the moment you watch for instance, something poignant on television or you find yourself avoiding newspapers because you can’t cope with the negativity portrayed within the stories. You then start dreaming of events that happened a long time ago, replaying them in your mind, feeling the emotion of them in your sleep.
People you haven’t seen or heard from in years start returning to your life. You come into contact with people who remind you of the past. Their character will be very similar to an unfinished energy of years gone by. It all feels rather surreal and distanced from your normal everyday reality.
The aloneness then begins, it is not necessarily a physical aloneness, the people around you are often the same people but you begin to feel distanced from them. Their world somehow no longer matches your world, it begins to feel as though they can’t ‘see’ or recognise who you are. The ability to pretend has disappeared, the need for a depth to relationships seems impossible to avoid. Your honesty within the self increases dramatically. You can’t help but say what you mean. The longing for ‘home’ then begins.
HomeThe saying ‘Home is where the heart is’ is appropriate to describe the experience. The ‘heart’ within this feeling is the heart of where your essence self comes from. The feeling is the remembering of the spirit self and its existence. When we first pass into the physical realms (birth) we forget the essence self as the ego or personality self starts to take form. It is a necessity for the ego self to make its presence known and to establish its existence in order to provide its function of protecting the physical body. When though, the emotions have matured the desire to engage the essence self becomes a feeling that’s impossible to ignore.
The maturing of the emotions is not dependent on age. A teenager, for instance, could find their emotional maturity is more progressed than their parents or grandparents. The emotional maturity is the beginning of the opening process to the deeper parts of the psyche. When this happens, there is a connection that happens deep in the solar plexus. This is the time we begin to process the unprocessed emotions so the system is calm enough to ‘hear’ properly and the emotion of fear in its proper place. Fear is there to protect the physical body it is not there to dictate the soul’s progress.
AbandonmentThe opening to the feeling of wanting to return ‘home’ is the beginning of the healing of the emotion we are all blighted with. We all carry the human fear of abandonment. Somewhere in our psyche we believe ourselves to be separated from what has created us here in our physical lifetime. We all come here with it for some reason. It manifests in a literal sense of feeling separated from our ‘creator’ or it shows in our relationships in life.
We end up being the one who abandons or who is abandoned. We either leave before we are left or we find people leave us. This often kicks into the psyche when things are going very well, we start looking for the time it’s all going to fall down and create in the psyche that feeling of being abandoned even before it may or may not happen. For instance, a job or relationship is going really well and we panic and leave. Or you as the one who has been left. It’s all going well in your view, then suddenly the axe falls and it disappears. You’re left wondering what happened.
The psyche has from the outset this inaccurate view that we are separate. It therefore reinforces the view we are separate by creating abandonment. Very few people can accept from the outset in life that nothing is above us, nothing in this world is more important, more intelligent or more worthy than us. We are all equal, all of the same substance. When we start to remember ‘home’ we are beginning to remember we are not separate, we are not abandoned, fear is only part of the physical realms there to protect the body.
The essence self is an energy, it is a purity. This purity as a sensitive is something we begin to remember so the longing for ‘home’ begins. As this starts up, our emotions become more sensitive and we begin to ‘see’ more layers of the psyche which is why our psychic ability increases. As this happens, the emotions then need to rebalance. To do this, the psyche begins to eliminate anything and everything it doesn’t need.
That’s why you become more emotional, seemingly more vulnerable, and a feeling of aloneness can become overwhelming. People who have triggered emotional responses in the past start to resurface in your life or people who remind you of those experiences start to spring up.
The important thing to remember is that this is only temporary. It is a transitional phase. The psyche begins to settle the process down by pushing through any unhealed aspects. Once those have moved through, the reunion with ‘home’ is incredible. This is nirvana, enlightenment, whichever name you want to give it. It is worth the transition into a deep sense of peace.
To get there means crossing the bridge of internal trust. We know when we are close, the feeling of home is near. Then we begin to find the bridge of trust that remains hidden until the point at which we are ready to cross.
From then on, fear is temporary, our psyche moves effortlessly in the right direction and our psychic ability becomes something bigger than our own needs. We begin to give, without any expectation or desire for it to be returned for we are at ‘home’ within ourselves…
Now follow the meditation to experience ‘home’.

Blocks to Developing your IntuitionMany people ask me about possible blocks to expanding their awareness and developing their intuitive abilities. Some Intuitive Sensitives have reached a certain level of growth and spiritual advancement but currently feel blocked, others feel as though they have plateaued.
One of the key aspects to psychic awareness is to embrace, rather than avoid, an open curiosity and fascination with human life. Therefore, two of the main blocks are avoidance and denial. If you try and hide from your life determining there must be a some sort of monster the size of an elephant in your cupboard, then developing your intuition is not going to be easy for you, no matter what your natural gift.
No one has anything in their cupboard they cannot face. We are well equipped to deal with our lives no matter what the immediate circumstances are. All we need to find is a little faith in ourselves and the ability to admit'. Sometimes we are following unconscious patterns from our past that we need to adjust. Those adjustments require our participation. Without our participation our out-dated patterns reoccur more times than we like to admit.
Bethany sat in front of me. As she sat down I could immediately feel that her energy was very heavy in her heart. After a few moments she began to become very emotional about a relationship that had broken down in the last few months. Her partner had come into her life as a very strong and loyal figure. He had been a good influence on her three children showing them boundaries they had never experienced before.
Suddenly Bethany's partner started to withdraw. He became distant from her before announcing he was going to return to his country of origin to deal with his depression. A few months after he left, he sent Bethany a letter. It was a rant about how awful she was …and with many cruel words.
Bethany was extremely intuitive. Her psyche had been giving her the distinct information she needed in order to deal with the situation and begin healing. But she was ignoring these insights to remain in the pattern of the past. Determined that her feelings were telling her to go and find this man to heal the situation, she almost booked a plane ticket.
She was in fact blocking her psychic awareness. The last thing on earth she should do was visit this man. So why was she feeling so compelled? She was re-exercising her patterns of rejection. She had been creating draining situations for people around her in order to be rejected. This man she had been involved with was very ill with depression and following him around was only going to make the situation worse. Her ex-husband had been a secret drinker. When his addiction became out of control the marriage collapsed. Her father, a violent and aggressive depressed figure, had been a shadow in her childhood years.
Bethany had thought all her past to be just that her past. She wanted to help other people and become a healer. However, in her current state where she was blocking her own intuition and progress to such a degree, the last thing she needed was to become a healer. This was her way of blocking and denying the energy that was demanding it needed to heal. She did though accept a chink of her intuition. Deep in her psyche she knew the right place for her was within a development group. Although her behaviour created rejection many of the others knew this. They were collectively determined not to allow her to create rejection. They became very aware of her demands on their energy but, instead of rejecting her, they encouraged
her to speak up and offered her support as her patterns became highlighted. For the group it was, metaphorically, hugging a child who had never been hugged. It took Bethany a few months to recover, but once she had, she realised all her previous relationships were a reflection of each other. Once her energy had moved on, she was no longer interested in the type of relationship she had created in the past and was able to set about finding what she deserved in life and it was at this point that her energy really opened up. Her intuitive abilities became heightened, her attitude was lighter and she was able to become an excellent help to others around her.
Top Tips for Clearing the Blocks to your developmentFacing the Shadow
You may argue that some people do have horrendous patterns and pasts and beliefs and experiences and memories to avoid; things they would rather leave buried deep in the psyche and never face. The truth is, facing them with trust in the self will get a person positive results every time. I have seen people come out the other side having dealt with horrific experiences such as childhood rape, being left for dead after an attack, domestic violence and many other extreme traumas at the hands of people without a conscience. For some it has taken years to overcome the damage, but they have done it and done it successfully. Often it has been as a direct result of their trust and willingness to face the unseen shadow part of the self and moving through it with direct energy work on their mental, emotional, and spiritual energy field.
Inner Work
When we feel stuck around our psychic development often the psyche is calling for a little more inner work. This is the exploration of the subconscious world. Blocks in the subconscious hold up our ability to see or sense our psychic and spiritual progress. It is natural to experience pockets of old energy in the subconscious. Part of our development is about clearing out the old energy from the past in order to be a clear and uncluttered for the present. How do we do this? Go through any of the meditations, exercises and articles here on my site and see which ones jump out at you. Those will be the areas you still need to explore.
Accepting that everyone is different
Sometimes blocks can be due to individual differences. Not everyone is the same. Unique qualities affect how quickly a person can open up their intuitive side. For Intuitive Sensitives this is often very simple and you can find your intuitive progress steams forward dramatically. The adjustment that comes is a person's self-worth. Most people's self-worth could do with a boost. Very often when we accept our differences, work on our self-worth, our apparent blocks evaporate and we very naturally move into the best of who we are. And then, just like that, we open into the natural progression of our authentic selves…waiting to be unleashed. Waiting to gain momentum.
