Although a recent visitor to the studio, Flok flew (metaphorically?) back this way for another live session. This was to celebrate a headline gig at The Latest music bar in Brighton. Sadly one member was blown off course and they are here playing as a duo, without Matt the drummer. The full band create a surpisingly funky folk rock sound, with just acoustic guitar, vocals and drums. Caitlin Stubbs, in a live session here, with just her guitar ( she is also a brilliant piano player ), has been a part of the Brighton music scene from the age of 14 as a solo singer/songwriter and over her time of performing has developed a much more dynamic sound. Her folky tones and truthful lyrics are enhanced on her studio recordings, by an eclectic backline of drums, trumpet and cello. Her main influences are her grandpa – the pacifist beat poet; Adrian Mitchell alongside Woody Guthrie, Billy Bragg, Pete Seeger and Joni Mitchell - 'sounds also like Ellie Goulding without the electric trickery! '
Paul Murray is a singer songwriter based in Brighton. Another early starter, he has been playing for nearly ten years and gigging for most of them. Paul plays a combination of folk, indie and blues with harder rock guitar playing techniques at times. His lyrics point out the large and small irritations and wonders of the world around him

Fond Of Rudy formed in 2009, describe themselves as a "South Eastern Calypso" mixing indie, rock and preppy pop. Kokopelli

In Hopi mythology, Kokopelli was the God of fertility, often depicted with a humpback and playing the flute. Thankfully, neither of the ladies that make up the band Kokopelli fit such a description. Bo Lucas and Hayleigh King concentrate on sultry, seductive interplay between guitar and vocals. Weeping slide guitar by Hayleigh perfectly compliments the country tinged blues that exude from songstress Bo. Absolutely worth catching at one of their many gigs around London and Brighton, and not to be missed in smaller, intimate venues where the passion of the songs really comes alive. Emotional lyrics and dynamic vocals are driven along by her rhythmical folk and blues guitar tunes. Luckily for us she is moving to Brighton in September
Zoe Hazel, (from 35 minutes into the show) now living in Brighton, was born in Scotland but lived in Catalonia in Spain since she was 3. Here she is, sharing a few words and melodies that come to her while looking and watching this peculiar world go round. Sophisticated melodies weaving among guitar and vocal harmonies. Less luckily, for us here, she is moving to London soon
