2019 marked the celebration of 10 years and the band has grown from a high school 4 piece to a 12 piece theatre-rock band... Boss Moxi has release an EP - Your Mouth (2011), 5 Singles and their debut album Oddball (2014). A departure of members saw the band take a hiatus for short period back in 2015. New musical friendships gifted the band an array of new members and inspiration to commence the writing the sophomore album, ‘Egotoxin’ in December 2017.
The band has performed in nearly every venue Brisbane has to offer and has self funded their releases and all of their visual content as well as 4 east coast tours since their beginnings in 2009. Following their Brisbane headline 'Egotoxin Live' show at The Triffid in 2019 the band has since put their efforts into a major revamp to the next phase of the Boss Moxi project.
This is the second single from Boss Moxi’s narrative, musical type, audio experience that is intended to be Egotoxin.
“The song follows an enlightening flashback into one of the main characters, The Black Lip Goddess, and essentially reveals the origins of her name. It’s basically a common and tragic story of betrayal, deception and the necessary ties that must be cut to do the things you need to.”
