Some of the Surahs of the Holy Quran has significance on others due to some reasons Surah Baqarah is one of those special Surahs.
In Surah Baqarah, Allah Almighty introduces us to the Quran and tells us about three different types of people; those who will benefit from the guidance of the Quran, those who won’t, and those who are only pretending to be people of the Quran. The rest of the Surah is a beautiful blend of history, life lessons, and instructions. Surah Baqarah has various benefits and great rewards in this life and in the hereafter.
Benefits of Surah Baqarah:
There are many benefits of Surah Baqarah some of them are mentioned below:
In the house where Surah Baqarah is recited Shaytan will not enter. Abu Hurayrah (RA) said that the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) said: “Do not turn your houses into graves. Verily, Shaytan does not enter the house where Surah Al-Baqarah is recited” (Tirmidhi) Surah al Baqarah helps to protect the person who recites it against the evil eye, witchcraft, evil whispers, and it also brings immense barakah into one’s time and overall peace in life.
Surah Baqarah brings greater reward on The Day of Judgment and adds blessings in this worldly life. In hadith Prophet Muhammad (SAW) said: “Recite the Quran, for on the Day of Resurrection it will come as an intercessor for those who recite It. Recite the two bright ones, al-Baqarah, and Surah Al ‘Imran, for on the Day of Resurrection they will come as two clouds or two shades, or two flocks of birds in ranks, pleading for those who recite them. Recite Surah al-Baqarah, to take recourse to it is a blessing and to give it up is a cause of grief, and the magicians cannot confront it.” (Muslim)
The last verses of Surah al-Baqarah are one of the most memorized verses of Quran among Muslims and it is for a good reason. In hadith Prophet Muhammad (SAW) said: “Whoever recites the last two verses of Surah al-Baqarah by night that will suffice him” (Bukhari)
Holy Prophet Muhammad (SAW) said: “Indeed Allah wrote in a book two thousand years before He created the heavens and the earth, and He sent down two Ayahs (verses) from it to end Surah al Baqarah with. If they are recited for three nights in a home, no Shaitan (devil) shall come near it.” (Tirmidhi)
In conclusion, we should try to recite the Quran in order to get a proper understanding so that we can act upon its wisdom by memorizing it. May Allah enable us all to bring His verses into our hearts and make them a means of illuminating our hearts, our lives, and our graves! Ameen

Ml Taha Karaan mufti of the MJC urges the Muslim community to adopt social distancing for the daily communal prayers by praying at home and not at the masaajid for ALL communal prayers. Masaajid will now add the following line "Alaa sallu fi buyutikum" - "Pray in your homes" to the athaan. We urge the Muslim community to follow this advice as part of the collective effort to curb the devastating effects of this virus. We pray Allah removes this tribulation and makes it a means of our reorientation to the Divine

The Prophetic Healing Institute THE IMPORTANCE OF TIBB AN-NABAWI (PROPHETIC MEDICINE) FOR HEALTHCARE IN MODERN TIMES.
Tibb-an-Nabawi can be defined as medical treatments, prescriptions for the treatment of disease, measures for the prevention of disease, health promotion and spiritual aspects that were recommended by Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) to his companions.
Acts of worship - such as fasting the month of Ramaḍan - are not merely form and ritual but are rather aimed at achieving great spiritual goals.
Sûrah al-Baqarah (Chapter The Cow), verses 183-4. 2:183 Oh those who believe, fasting is prescribed [written] for you as it was prescribed for those before you that you may attain to taqwâ. 184 (Observing the fast is only) for a stipulated number of days and as such if any of you are ill or on journey then the same number (should be made up) of other days. And those who are able to fast but only with extreme difficulty (e.g. the feeble due to old age) they may ransom themselves by feeding a miskîn (poor person) (for every day missed). But whosoever performs good voluntarily (by feeding more of the poor than required) it is better for him. And that you fast is better for you if only you knew.

Hold fast to the rope of Allah by Moulana Irshaad Sedick “And hold fast to the Rope of Allah, and be not divided among yourselves” Quran 3:103
“ And do not come near to the unlawful sexual intercourse…” (Al-Israa, 17: 32) And peace and blessings of Allah be upon His slave and Messenger Muhammad, who said: “When a person commits zina, Imaan (faith) leaves him, until it is like a cloud over his head…”(Abu Dawud)Undoubtedly, all Muslims have some knowledge of the prohibition of Adultery and fornication, however we are living in a society whereby this crime has become widespread and commonly accepted.
Happiness Exists but who can find it?
*The whole of the religion of Islam is meant to enable man to lead a happy life here and in the hereafter. The whole meaning of this religion or way-of-life is to lead him to success or salvation. In sha Allah
What makes you happy?
Enrich your life with Affirmations. Let yourself be happy. Fight for your happiness. You deserve to be happy and not sappy. I am in charge of how I feel and today I am choosing happiness. When you are grateful, fear disappears and abundance appears. Everyone wants happiness and nobody wants pain But you can't have a rainbow without a little rain. Doing good not only feels good, it leads to more good. Being close to nature can bring you a happiness that’s hard to describe.
Walking In His Shadow - Session 2 - Path to Purification - Mln Riad Saloojee
Rasulullah (sallalaho ‘alayhi wa sallam) is the path to Allah. We need to walk that path. The path has an outer form and an inner meaning. The Sunnah is both outward and inward. I must follow the external of the Sunnah – the actions, words and tacit instructions of Rasulullah (sallalaho ‘alayhi wa sallam); as well as the internal Sunnah — the states and conditions of his heart (sallalaho ‘alayhi wa sallam). I must walk in his footsteps and heartsteps
