Fremdtunes is a Dutch independent label. Our main focus is on (instrumental) producer-based music, from skweee to future beats and jazz. Danceable music with beats, bass & balls that move both the crowd and critics and a strong ear and eye for original concepts & art.

Kruwcial Fussy is the public outset of STRAKC, a two-man band formed by drummer/musician Vincent den Hengst and producer/DJ Kool DJ Mace. The two are aiming their instruments at the dancefloor, lighting it up with every genre that's about beats & bass - Hiphop, Jungle, Breakbeats, Hiphouse, Electro and so on.

We proudly present 'Rec Mode – Volume 2' the second in our series of beats + sounds compilations for producers, beatcreators and composers.
This second volume is stacked with original breakbeats played by drummer Salle de Jonge (LeslieNielsen, Sabrina Starke). De Jonge used different drumkits, a whole arsenal of mics and various pre-amps to record his ferocious drumplay. All tracks were recorded analogue by Budy Mokoginta (Mokosound) through a classic Studer mixing board.
There's something for every producer who likes to cut, paste and chop: off-grid grooves, big-kahuna beats, classic breaks, funky stuff. Get it!

With ‘Jaaneman’ DJ Optimus produced an ode to the consolation of music. A drumheavy type of soundscape, dominated by hip-hop grooves, ambient, classical music, jazz and hibernal, pensive spheres. Supported by a small team of top-notch guest-musicians, Marien Okkerse (cello), Wiboud Burkens (keys), Tristan Driesenaar (guitar) and Michael Varekamp (trumpet), Optimus created an astonishing and very personal piece of work.
As for the credits: the ep is mastered by Ivo Statinski, the artwork is done by Mister Adam And J. Smeekens (image). The track-titles are based upon a poem written by Andre Sollie.

A man of contrast… So, as music can only be understood backwards and must be made forwards, let’s take a look in the used future!”
Mighty Atlas is a Dutch collective bringing you an unusual combination of Future Beats, Dub, Jazz, pandemic grooves and 80's Electro Funk. The key-administers are Neels Smeekens and Rogier van Hout, who find inspiration in collaborations with other musicians including mainpartner keyplayer Wiboud Burkens and multi-instrumentalist Baba Sissoko. Other musical partners are Tristan Driesenaar, Vincent den Hengst, Itai Weissman, Bruno Ferro Xavier da Silva, Erwin Vann a.o. They use vintage synths, samplers, electric piano's, live drums, turntables etc. to manufacture their beatbased, musical construc-tions.

ABOUT KIJK EEN STER With tracks featured on Gilles Peterson's famed Worldwide radio show, 22 tracks and Red Light Radio, Kijk Een Ster is an up and coming artist from the small city of Heerlen, Netherlands. Having been inspired by the early sounds of Tom Trago, Rednose Distrikt and the like, Kijk has always kept his ears firmly rooted in the tradition of low-slung house and beatdown flavours while dabbling with the experimental jazz fusions of the LA scene.

ABOUT HANNAH CATSBURG Hannah Catsburg's fingerprint can best be described as 'artistic storytelling' of 'narrative design'. Attentive watching and careful listening form the basis of her structured and artisanal approach. Her concepts and colorful creations carry the content. The form is a message and tells a message. Hannah enjoys group work with artists from varying disciplines such as dancers, actors, musicians and singers.

We proudly present the third Supertunes-track: Energy Saver by Dutch artist Feiertag! An uptempo, bass-heavy, jubilant track that will surely get you on the good foot. Inspired by Tokimonsta, Feiertag pitches contrabasstones and toys with new percussion instruments, basically telling himself to take things easy – we're not sure that'll work with such an explosive song. The track is mastered by Budy Mokoginta (Mokosound). The artwork is made by Lars van Wieren.

About Feiertag Feiertag is a drummer/producer from Utrecht, The Netherlands, who makes tracks that combine UK bass, house, garage and two-step. His unique songs are composed of catchy melodies and syncopated beats, creating a refreshing organic sound. Feiertag (or under his previous monniker Hamertje Tik) released music on labels like BMKLTSCH, INI, Basserk Records, Jalapeno Records and Mad-Hop. Besides producing records he's known for playing drums for breakbeatfunkateers Kraak & Smaak.
