This week we all worked on a full page of a comic script. There are books and resources for comic book writers to find comic book scripts, but they were offline or checked out at the library, so Keegan wrote an original script for everyone to work on. This week we were once again joined by Chloe and Andyboowandy (@BirdsofSadness on Instagram). Follow Andyboowandy for inspiration and hilariously unique comics!

Welcome to the 3rd episode of our 4-Part Series called "The December Draw Down"! The DDD was created as a way to focus more on comic book "art" because we have spent so much time talking about writing, editing, marketing...etc. We also wanted to attempt comic book art, because comic artists (sarcastically I'm sure) are often suggesting comic book writers who can't pay learn how to draw! "What an interesting suggestion..." we said, and then this competition was born. This week we tried drawing One-Point Perspective using the guide by Joe Catapano on How To Draw Comics.Net http://howtodrawcomics.net/one-point-perspective.We followed the step-by-step guide to try and recreate the city street. Using the power of books about "how to draw comic books" they will compete to see who can do the best Character Faces, Character profiles, Perspective and finally a full comic page. Eric and Keegan are awful and terrible at drawing and feel that this is a golden opportunity to solidify that fact. Chloe is a budding illustrator and comic artist who is up to the challenge but has never drawn full comic characters or pages as described in this challenge. We know we may fail, but that's the fun!

This week we are joined by Eric Sublawn (Sablan) and Kevin Veloso for a really strange and random improvised episode! Although, we also do a review of CURSE WORDS and talk a little bit about Keegan's comic "The Nefarious Mr. Green".
The large part of this episode is overrun by an improvised format called "The Bat"...i.e. we turned off our cameras and did improvised "scene" without being able to hear each other. The suggestion was just "Dumb Comic Creators" so naturally the scenes are really dumb too.

Erik has several published comics and an upcoming sequel to his Invasion on Aisle 2 comic that is being released in installments on his Instagram page.
Later, Eric and Keegan give updates on their personal comic projects. Then Keegan does a demo for any interested writers who want to convert their novel or short story to comic book script. The process is different than converting screenplays. Keegan does a demo using The Wizard of Oz as an example.

Rob talks about how he got started in comics and his process for putting together the full art + color + lettering of Freak Snow. He also discusses working as a freelance artist.
