Peter Coppinger is the Co-founder and CEO of Teamwork. As CEO he leads the company towards its vision: to help teams all over the world be efficient, organized, and happy. Since the early days of running his web agency, Peter has been obsessed with helping teams work better together. Today, Teamwork’s business management apps power 24,000 companies worldwide. One of Peter’s ambitions in life is to help Ireland develop more indigenous SaaS companies and he is involved in a number of startup initiatives that help promote and encourage this. Peter is a dad to two daughters, he’s an avid reader and loves to travel with his family.

She joined United to Learn in 2019 as the Chief Operations Officer, where she combines this passion with her knowledge of finance and HR. Prior to working at United to Learn, Amee founded and ran Jalsa Foods, a successful salsa company, which she continues to support. Before launching Jalsa, Amee worked in the field of expatriate taxation and global human resources, supporting Fortune 500 companies to manage their international workforces. Amee graduated with a BS degree in Management/Finance from the State University of NY at Binghamton. Amee is an alumni of Leadership ISD, a member of the St. Mark’s School Texas Board of Trustees, former board member of the Southwest Regional Board for the US Fund for UNICEF and a volunteer at various children-focused nonprofits around Dallas. Lea has spent her +25-year career in start-up and small tech companies focused on bringing disruptive technologies to software and healthcare markets.

She is also a painter and a writer. Her memoir, Finding the Exit, is the story of overcoming a tragic beginning and finding success in the hyper-competitive world of technology start-ups. It captures the feelings of economic vulnerability that stalk women of disadvantaged backgrounds as they become executives and leaders.

In 2003 she co-founded Lingualcare, a medtech company that made customized orthodontic braces that go behind the teeth.

Lingualcare won the prestigious Dallas 100 Entrepreneur Award in 2007 for being one of the fastest growing, most dynamic companies in Dallas. In October 2007, 3M Company acquired Lingualcare. After selling Lingualcare, Lea co-founded Natural Dental Implants AG, REPLICATE Dental Technologies PLC and 2C Dental Technologies Inc.

A native of Nebraska, Lea received her B.A. from the University of Texas at El Paso and an M.B.A. from the Thunderbird,

School of Global Management in Glendale, Arizona. She is currently the CEO of 2C MedTech and resides in Dallas, Texas and Berlin, Germany.

Julie Lenzer, Doug Foulkes & Claire Haidar discuss the intersections of technology, academics, and the intricacies of protectable IP and technology transfers.

Julie Lenzer has held every role in the entrepreneurial ecosystem – from successful entrepreneur, policy advisor, funder, ecosystem builder and investor. She is currently the Chief Innovation Officer at the University of Maryland. In this role, she is charged with fostering and deploying innovation to drive greater economic and social impact from faculty, students, and alumni endeavors. Her portfolio includes UM Ventures which is the tech transfer office, the Maryland Small Business Development Center (SBDC), the Maryland International Incubator (MI2), TechPort (an incubator in rural Maryland), the Mixed/Augmented/Virtual Reality Innovation Center (MAVRIC), as well as university engagement with the Discovery District (UMD’s research park).

Prior to joining the university, she was the Director of the Office of Innovation and Entrepreneurship (OIE) within the U.S. Department of Commerce and Special Assistant to the Secretary for innovation policy. While there, she created the Regional Innovation Strategies grant program (now called Build to Scale). As of 2018, that program helped create over 8,000 jobs and raise just over $1B in capital to support startups.

Selwyn Rayzor is President of the Rayzor Company, a real estate and investment company, and is on the Board of Directors of Suderman & Young Towing as well as G&H Towing, harbor towing companies in the Gulf of Mexico. She is also a member of the Westpark TIRZ (Tax Increment Reinvestment Zone) Board with the city of Denton, Texas. Before returning home to Texas, Rayzor was a Managing Director within the investment banking division of the ABN Amro Bank in London. Prior to her time in London, she was a mortgage derivative trader in New York.

Rayzor’s passion for helping underprivileged women and children was deepened after traveling with UNICEF USA to Uganda and Nepal. She is the founding Board Chair of the North Texas Board of UNICEF USA and serves on the National Development Board of UNICEF USA. She also serves on the Board of Directors of Planned Parenthood of Greater Texas as well as board chair for talkSTEM. Rayzor is a proud graduate of Duke University, and now serves on the Duke Alumni Association Advisory Committee as an alumni interviewer and on the Duke University Innovation and Entrepreneurship Initiative Advisory Board. She is a founding member of the Duke UNICEF Innovation Accelerator. She has chaired fundraising events for UNICEF, Family Gateway, Texas Women's Foundation, Annie’s List, Planned Parenthood of Greater Texas, the Lamplighter School and the Greenhill School.
