In reply to Barry.

Trust MY judgment? Surely you jest, Barr. Everyone who knows me well knows how bad an idea that is, and I would never recommend trying it. ;)

As for Kemp, I do seem to recall Trump blasting him for re-opening "too early" as Kemp claims, although I must also say I don't really like Kemp all that much, and never really did; his supine acquiescence in the 2020 "election" brouhaha was every bit as bad as Pence's, maybe even worse.

The DeSantis/Trump poll numbers get only a big meh from me; as I said when he finally did announce, I'm all done with Ronny D. He's accomplished some genuinely good things in FLA, particularly in standing up to the gender-bending pedos; I very much wish he had chosen to stay on as Gov and continued that fine work instead of chasing his own tail and fluffing his ego by seeking a higher office in which he'll never be allowed to accomplish a damned thing except line his pockets and give useless speeches.

For me, Kemp is a lot like Abbott in TX: both have done some things I like, but in the end have also fallen well short on certain others. You've commended Stitt in OK to our attention more than once here, but I have to admit I really don't know a hell of a lot about the guy. I intend to look into educating myself soon; if he's the real deal as you say--as Ronny D, Kemp, and Abbott aren't--I'd like to know more about him, if only for the sake of broadening my own horizons a little bit.
