The ban is bullshit. You should be able to buy whatever kind of bulb you want.

LED bulbs are much better than when the ban originally began. At that time I bought about 100 incandescent bulbs, about half 60watt and the other half 100watt. Still have some left but the LED's are so much better now - the light is as good, they produce very little heat, the price is now very reasonable, and they typically last long enough to make the price better than the incandescent.

So, other than trying to stick your thumb in the eye of the government I wouldn't rush out to buy the incandescent's.
