Recent fires caused by charging e-scooters, e-bikes and other electronic devices have led to calls for battery import rules to be updated. 

EV FireSafe Director Emma Sutcliffe told John Stanley that fires and explosions from lightweight electric vehicles are likely to get much worse, unless new regulations are introduced.
