Sometimes we read the first few verses of John 15 and they seem almost ominous to us! What’s all this about branches being “taken away” and “thrown away,” “drying up,” and being “burned”? Is Jesus threatening us with loss of our very salvation? Or is there a different way to hear and understand His heartfelt desire that we should “bear fruit”, and that our “fruit would remain”? Our spiritual lifeblood comes only from Him. So does our fruit – which He earnestly desires for us and for which we are destined! Let’s dig into this great passage for the encouragement He intends us to have from it!
