Brenham Police are investigating a shooting that occurred on Friday afternoon.

Officers were dispatched to the 1500 block of Meadow Lane at 3:30pm in reference to a report of shots fired.

Police arrived on the scene and located a 17-year-old male, who sustained a single gunshot wound to his chest.

The Washington County EMS transported him to St. Joseph Hospital in Bryan, where he was listed in stable condition.
