In this episode of Anyone Can Learn BitcoinCollin Anderson welcomes Kasey to Anyone Can Learn Bitcoin where normal, everyday-people like you and I discuss surface level concepts of what Bitcoin is and where it's going, in order to help break down the common barriers to learning about this new technology.

Today I have Kasey on the show who is a Nurse.

We discuss how bitcoin can make you money, if it will grow in the short term or long term, and if it could allow nurses or anyone to quit their job in the future.

Now, since this is the first show, I will go ahead and state my background and why I started this show.

My name is Collin Anderson and I joined the Bitcoin Space in January of 2021. I know, not that impressive, but I didn’t merely invest in the asset class and “get lucky and become a millionaire” like a lot of prominent people in the space. I have been doing the research and soaking up as much information on the subject as I can in order to build the conviction I now have. I have read several books on the subject and have spent several hours a day reading or listening to information regarding bitcoin for the past year. I believe Bitcoin has crossed the chasm where it is finally taken seriously and gains major adoption.

I started this show to try and break down the stigma and barrier of learning about this new technology, and more specifically, I want friends and family, and friends of friends to have another touch point when it comes to Bitcoin. My thought process is if the people listening know the people in the podcast, it makes it more relatable. Now you have someone to talk to about bitcoin!

In my work life, my day job is an insurance agent where I sell auto, home, life, and retirement services.

Now Story Time: I first heard about Bitcoin in the basement of a friend's house back in 2016, when I was a senior in high school. The price was around $600 at the time and myself, as well as, my friends immediately brushed bitcoin off as a scam and proceeded to bash the friend who had initially brought it up. I say this because everyone has a story like this no matter how “early” you got into the Bitcoin space. And believe it or not, if you’re listening to this podcast, you are still early and these future conversations will help explain why. If you ever want to learn more, don’t hesitate to reach out. I will be posting these podcasts as frequently as I can.

Now, I am happy to welcome to the very first episode of the pod, Kasey. Let’s begin the show!
