This week, as we continue to explore this essential calling, we contemplating what the LORD says about himself in Isaiah 57:15: I live in a high and holy place, but also with the one who is contrite and lowly in spirit, to revive the spirit of the lowly and to revive the heart of the contrite. Even though awe is appropriate for a God who is so much greater than us, we are also invited to draw near to the God who, in Christ, drew near to us. But what does it mean to feel near to God? How does God come near? What difference does Gods nearness make to how we worship?
