B.J. worked in numerous fields before trying his hand at law school and becoming a top family law attorney. He's a longtime rock guitarist, served as a police officer in San Jose, and even went to medical school at U.C. Davis before he had to switch courses when he was unable to afford the costs to continue.

For over 30 years, B.J. has served as legal counsel to Silicon Valley families. B.J. is known for his caring service to his clients, and frequently volunteers to serve those in need, including service as Court appointed Minor's Counsel and various community service programs. B.J. is one of just a handful of California attorneys that assists families in recovering or restoring children who have been abducted or wrongfully retained, including international cases. He's published numerous legal articles and has written and helped passed legislation in California. He has served on numerous panels teaching lawyers and paralegals, as well as judge Pro Tem in the Santa Clara County family court, and as a mediator and private judge.
