A Family Tradition Since 1923.

Elder Kent Perkins shares stories of life growing up in the Valley when is was blanketed with orchards instead of cars and tech buildings. Times when car culture in Willow Glen was a like page from American Grafitti. And Kent graciously shares a few gems of wisdom from a his long life and dedication to his craft and community. Son Josh is carrying on the family tradition and shares stories of his youth learning his craft at his grandfather’s knee, life as a professional musician, and as a father of a young family trying to find balance in our technology age.

CB Perkins Guitar Shop started in a small shop in Willow Glen in 1923. Charles B. Perkins, the founder of the Perkins luthier legacy, channeled his love for all things guitar to create CB Perkins Guitar Shop.
