"The Duel" takes us back to a time just after repeal of prohibition on the national stage, but when much of the South remained officially dry. Tensions run high between those who cling to the lofty goals of the temperance movement and those wanting to break free. Told through the eyes of a young black girl growing up in a small town in the Southern United States, excitement runs high as the entire town and folks from far and wide gather to witness a legendary showdown between the most famous blues man who ever lived and an equally famous young female guitar thumping gospel and blues singer.
