Verizon recently made extensive upgrades to its network serving customers in the Richmond area, according to company officials.  Part of a multi-year redesign of network architecture to upgrade technology and stay ahead of data usage increases, the upgrades include new cell sites to extend coverage and capacity, and additional capacity on fiber optic cables, allowing Verizon customers access to faster speeds and more comprehensive coverage in the Richmond area.
