Fervan C. Huffer, 98, of Richmond, passed peacefully in her home on September 1, 2023.  She was born on April 16, 1925, in Iron Gate, Va. to Nora Coffey and Chalmer Crutchfield.  Fervan married her loving husband, Wayte Huffer, in 1950, who preceded her in death as well as her brothers, Ruel and Dennis “Jack”, all military veterans.  She became a licensed practical nurse through on-the-job training at King’s Daughters Hospital in Staunton, Va.  She adored being a nurse and cared for those in need for over 40 years.  Fervan served as a den mother for the Cub Scouts, was...Article LinkSupport the show
