Violinist and composer Layale Chaker and Sarafand will perform at the University of Richmond’s Modlin Center for the Arts on Friday, Feb. 16 at 7:30 p.m. With a deep respect for the rich cultural heritage of the Middle East, Chaker and Sarafand infuse traditional Lebanese and Syrian music with a modern sensibility.
