The number of people filing first-time unemployment claims in Henrico during the most recent reporting week dropped to a level seen only twice before during the pandemic, according to data released Thursday by the Virginia Employment Commission. A total of 212 Henricoans filed initial claims during the week of Feb. 14-20, down from the 283 who did so the previous week – a decrease of 25%.
