Self Examination

For all who exalt themselves will be humbled, but all who humble themselves will be exalted. Luke 18:14

This Sunday features another parable from Jesus. Two men went to the temple to pray. One of them, a Pharisee, looks at the other, a tax collector, with contempt and thanks God he isn’t as bad as the tax collector. Jesus’ message makes clear that we ought not to judge someone else’s relationship to God, but focus on our own. What an important and difficult thing to do! Join us Sunday as we seek ways to be honest with oneself and avoid judging others.
