Well, he rewatched an episode from his favorite anthology series, “Black Mirror,” which he says he watched before it became a worldwide phenomenon. Created by Charlie Brooker, “Black Mirror” has terrified audiences about the dangers of technology. Yet, he sidestepped the more horror/sci-fi plot-based episodes. Zach rewatched “San Junipero.” Beautifully composed, written, and directed, with stunning performances by Gugu Mbatha-Raw and Mackenzie Davis, it’s an episode that mixes science fiction, nostalgia, romance, and the afterlife to absolute perfection. An anthology series that is often pessimistic, “San Junipero” adds a dash of optimism to the world of “Black Mirror.” Our host has a ton of commentary and can’t, or won’t, stop humming along to “Heaven is a Place on Earth.” So, save a spot by the “bubble” and join the (re)Watch!
