Multifaceted Claire Haungci visited IPR's Studio A ahead of her performance this weekend with the Traverse Symphony Orchestra. She'll be the soloist in Mozart's Piano Concerto no. 21 in C major. She played Bach's Toccata in G minor (BWV 915) and an original cadenza she wrote for Mozart's Piano Concerto no. 25. Huangci talked about what makes a good recording session, why this Mozart concerto is a new chapter in her longstanding collaboration with TSO artistic director and principal conductor Kevin Rhodes, and what she does to prepare on the day of a concert.
