For this episode I am joined by the award winning saxophonist and composer, and high school friend, Emma Johnson! Celebrating the vinyl release of her first album with her Gravy Boat. We settle down to talk about composition, self-criticism and combating writer's block before things become really passionate as we discuss our own journey's through state school music education and what needs to be done to make sure children of all socio-economic backgrounds have the opportunity to access music lessons, teachers and role models.
This is a hot topic for debate so I'd love to know your thoughts, you can join the conversation as always by emailing fromacellistsperspective@gmail.com.
