A study published in the Journal of Applied Psychology stated that turning off all your emails, notifications and messages after work helps you to become a better leader. The survey was conducted on managers and their employees at US businesses in 2019 and 2022, and it was found that those who disconnect from their work after logging out identify as strong team leaders and connect better with their team mates. Whereas, leaders who reported thinking about the negative aspects of work even after working hours couldn't really recuperate their energy the next morning.
