Staying in your hometown is often met with frowns. Society frames your 20’s as a period where you should be exploring and going on adventures as much as possible, which is usually equated with a change of location. In the media, we always see the characters dying to leave their town so that their life can ‘truly begin.’ Today I discuss the reasons for why I stayed in my hometown and it’s perks, & why I hate societal pressure to be independent and move out.
