Today is National Recruiter’s Day! Listen to this week’s Let’s Talk Jack spotlight episode and get to know Jimmy Johnston, Driver Recruiting Manager. Jimmy has been a recruiter with Jack Cooper for 8 years. He is from Joplin, Missouri, has an adorable Frenchie named Gloria, and his favorite snack is Lay’s salt & vinegar chips. Some of his job responsibilities include developing recruitment strategies, conducting interviews, representing the company at job fairs and industry events, and providing a positive experience for all candidates when going through the recruitment process.
When asked what his favorite part of his job is, Jimmy said, "My favorite part of being a driver recruiter is speaking with the applicants. I am a people person who likes interacting with new people on the phone or in person and explaining to them the position they are applying for. I also like that we get to travel to different terminals from time to time. It's nice to meet the terminal staff in person."
