Justice Malala is an award-winning journalist, television host, political commentator, and newspaper columnist. Malala is a regular contributor to the Guardian in London and his work has been published in The Washington Post, the Financial Times, the Wall Street Journal, the Times of London, and others. Malala was formerly a presenter and executive producer of the longest-running weekly political talk show in South Africa (The Justice Factor on eNCA). He has a new book coming out The Plot To Save South Africa: The Week Mandela Averted Civil War and Forged a New Nation.

In this podcast, Justice focuses on a week in 1993, during South Africa’s transition from apartheid to democracy and the assassination of Chris Hani in the hope to derail the transition to democracy and igniting an all-out civil war. He also reflects on the history of post-colonial political assassinations of leaders connected to liberation movements.
