Jade Simon is an Online Coach and Instructor at JEFF Fitness.

Jade has also competed as an amateur women’s Bikini Athlete and she was the inspiration for me to step on stage for the first time. In this episode, we get into our experiences on stage as amateur bodybuilders. We dig into why we chose to go down this path.

Expect to learn the importance of genetics, diet, training, performance-enhancing drugs (PEDs) and how your friends can sometimes treat you a little differently when you are in prep mode.

I feel like I underestimated what it takes to prepare for a show. My biggest regret is that I was not able to take on a full-time coach due to financial constraints.

I think it’s fascinating to get an insight into the world of amateur bodybuilding. It is certainly not the glitz and glam of professional shows. I hope you enjoy learning about something new.

Please remember that nothing I say in this podcast should be construed as advice in any way. I am reflecting on my past and I do not endorse any of my behaviours for anyone else.
