We learnt that:

  • As we read the Bible we should take the Word we see for it

  • The purpose of Bible study is to equip the believer with knowledge, understanding, wisdom, and Godly guidance in the way of the Lord

  • The believer studies to know the Lord, respond to His Lord, and not to be found wanting

  • The purpose of devotional Bible study is to bring you to the place of application; that is you study to apply what it is that you studied

  • The Christian who’s results are clearly seen is the Christian who is a doer; you are a doer of the Word

  • The believer is able to come to the place of being able to do all that is written in the Word through devotional Bible study

  • In devotional Bible study the Word finds its place in your heart

  • More often than not, a believer who does not see the results of speaking in tongues is because they are bankrupt of the deposit of the Word in their heart and can not withdrawal from the account of the Word

  • Speaking in tongues is like putting a bullet in a gun and when you release the Word you fire the gun; many believers know how to load the gun but don’t know how to shoot the gun

  • Devotional Bible studies is so that we may be complete in the knowledge of God; thoroughly equipped for every good work

  • There are steps that the believer should do to know know how to personal Bible study such as finding a quiet place, and writing what they see

  • In devotional Bible Study what you are trying to get from what you are reading, is exactly what you are reading not outside what your reading

  • There are 7 steps when it comes to mediations to know how to personal Bible study, such as picturing exactly what you are reading from the Word

  • The end of every Bible study is to bring you to the place where you look like Christ, to apply the Word, have a deep relationship with God, and to live a transformed life, a transformed mind, and a transformed speech, and insight into Scripture
