It is very easy to mistake being religious for having a relationship with God. 

But the born again believer is supposed to involve having a genuine relationship with God (2 Corinthians 13:14).  The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the communion of the Holy Ghost, be with you all. Amen.

But it’s easy to replace our relationship with a religious spirit (meaning a lifestyle or attitude), which is the default position of sinful human nature and bondage.

There are many different manifestations of religious spirits. 

Everything that is religious is not necessarily of God.
