Feedback is a gift...or is it? Sometimes it causes a lot of anxiety, typically cause we feel judged as usually the feedback is coming from a person in a position of authority. Year end reviews or your family's opinion on your parenting, feedback can be helpful, hurtful, and also send us into a panic. As you receive feedback, don't feel like you have to absorb it all and do every thing.

If you're the one giving feedback, make sure:

  • The receiver is able to hear the message
  • The message is clear and there is positive intent
  • Provide resources for how to improve

When done properly, feedback can make us better. If it's in a work setting, try to not take it personal. Growth comes from being open to feedback and change, embrace it.

Enjoy your cafecito, and if you feel up to it...share some feedback with us, we're always looking to grow.
