Welcome to Midnight Tea - a podcast based on everything we talk about during our daily midnight tea with our flatmates after another day abroad.
Two seasons, 18 episodes, and 11 guests down the line, we are thrilled to introduce to you our final episode of Midnight Tea. Midnight Tea has given us both so much - we’ve been able to process how we were finding living abroad, preserve our memories in a really cool way, and hopefully help others who were also learning to make a home elsewhere. Even when we’ve been in different continents, it’s been a true pleasure to make Midnight Tea. Thank you to everyone we’ve encountered this past year, and to Amsterdam and Auckland for everything you gave us. See you all soon!

Studying abroad is an amazing opportunity and privilege. But when you live abroad for a while, you can experience some tiredness, overwhelm, and burnout. We haven't heard much about year abroad burnout before, which is why we want to talk about how it can feel and how to deal with it - whilst also making the most of your time on exchange.

Welcome to Episode 2 of Midnight Tea, Season Two! In this episode, Sophie and Kylee catch up with Damien, who recently moved back from Amsterdam to South Africa. Now that we're all in different continents and situations, we answer each other’s questions about reverse culture shock, moving to a new place (again), and the new version of Amsterdam.

Welcome to the season finale of Midnight Tea! To mix things up a little, we had our two guests Lauren and Damien ask us the questions this time. If you've ever wondered what our least favourite city to visit was, a lesson learned from the flat, or what we will miss most, then this is the episode for you.
We wanted to give a huge thank you to everyone who has supported us on this journey so far. Our special guests, our listeners, and our friends and families. We couldn't have done this all without you! We have both had such an amazing time, and look forward to continuing this adventure with season two of Midnight Tea - so stay tuned for details!

Welcome to episode eight of Midnight Tea! Our special guest today is the first guest who is not studying in Amsterdam - Maddie is studying on exchange in Canberra, Australia! Stay tuned for some amazing insights on what exchange is like on a completely different continent!
Unfortunately, as Maddie is our first guest who we recorded online, there were some minor difficulties with the audio. We thank you for sticking with us through this as we learn, and hope you'll still give Maddie's valuable insights a listen!

In episode five of Midnight Tea, we discuss the lessons we have learned so far on exchange. Covering everything from the silly to the serious, we have definitely learned a lot since we moved abroad!
In today's episode of Midnight Tea, we discuss how exchange isn't always like Instagram, and the real-life 'Amsterdam filter'. Exchange is full of countless memories and experiences, and only a few of the best ones actually make it onto Instagram; meaning our feeds often miss out on some of the more chaotic, messy, or sad experiences.
In this episode, we talk to Michelle and Joe about the reasons why we moved to Amsterdam and the reasons why we nearly didn’t. Getting on the plane to leave home is hard, so we discuss everything you think about as you’re in the sky.
Welcome to the second episode of Midnight Tea! Today we will be sharing some moments from our exchange so far - some highs, some lows, all absolutely hilarious. This episode features our very first special guest, Lucy Bowman!
Welcome to the first episode of Midnight Tea! Today we’re talking about all the small, super weird things that we have found challenging whilst adapting to living in a new country - and how we’ve managed to turn these things into another part of the adventure!
