Leading with intention is one big word to me. I like to use intention as a way to explain what I want to be thinking about, especially as a leader. In this episode, I talk with Ashlee Livingstone, CEO of Our Forte. We talk about how to become an evolved leader by understanding and being aligned with your organization's values as well as empowering employees through leadership and accountability. It can be one of the toughest parts of the process to lead your team with the values in mind, because it's hard to know how those values fit into all of the things that your team is doing. However, working toward a common goal and staying aligned with each other can help empower employees towards growth and success.

In this episode, I talk with Katherine Williams, co-founder and chief editor of Variantista. We talk about the importance of storytelling to connect with your target market. The key to connecting with your target market and creating a relationship is storytelling. Storytelling is the way people relate to information, and it can also be used for spreading brand values throughout a community. You need to tell stories about what you've done, why you do things and how people benefit from your products, services or ideas. if you have a deep connection with your audience already, then it leaves an opportunity for them to bring them through, nurture that relationship and then at some point into the conversion phase or continued loyalty.

Today, we're going to talk about why it is so important to find product market fit, and how we found product market fit for our virtual assistant staffing company using really just one tool. Now, product market fit is hard. It takes time and to find true product market fit, that really takes years. But this one tool that we used is probably the quickest way to really start your product or service on the path to success and the tool that we used can help you find estimated or predicted product market fit. So, it's not perfect, but it is a really good indicator of future product market fit.

As a founder, I find it incredibly difficult to find time to create content when I have so many other important tasks on my plate. My mental bandwidth is already being used up in other areas of business that it's difficult to be creative when it comes to content creation. Now, I recently discovered Chat GPT. You may have heard about it in the news, and I wanted to see if this tool could be used to save time creating content. In this first solo cast episode, I'll explain how I've used Chat GPT to speed up my content creation process.

In this episode, I talk with Bob Hunter with My Business Credit.com. We talk about what it's like to take credit or to take debt as a business, and when is the right time that you should do that. We talk about what it's like to have smart debt, debt that actually is going to work for you and generate some kind of ROI and how business debt is much different than like personal debt. like taking out a credit card or a loan to buy a Tesla just because you want it like that is not going to give you any ROI other than enjoyment. But then businesses, they can take out credit, some kind of loan, a line of credit in a smart and efficient and a safe way mitigating risk. But once they do that, they can grow quicker and they can generate, hopefully, an ROI that will more than pay back that debt. So, if you do it the right way, there could be a good route to taking debt in your company. And Bob Hunter gives us some great tips and advice on how to do that.

In this episode, I talk with Chris. Chris and I discuss what it's like to start a business with a business plan and how to scale that company along with your business plan as a living, breathing document. But more importantly, we also talk about delegation and what it's like to enable yourself as a business owner through delegation. You as a business owner are tasked with more of the higher level tasks of growing the business and really taking it to the next level. And so it's up to you to effectively delegate those other more low-level, like at, you know, backend administrative tasks to other people so that you can focus on growing the business, taking it to the next level and really working on, again, more the higher level tasks.
I demystify startups. I go behind the scenes with startups of all sizes. I want to show you that startups aren't as intimidating as they sound. You can mitigate risk, you can find a good work/life balance, and you can be successful.

In this episode I talk with Glenn Gardone. He is the USA country Director at Red Chocolate. I actually got to try some red chocolate. It was fantastic and definitely looked them up and definitely listened to the episode. He is a very smart guy. He has some very unique experiences. He walks us through those unique experiences and kind of what he's learned along the way. A few of the main points that we've talked about. He talks about finding your passion. We talk a lot about how you don't usually find your passion in college, but some people do, but some people don't find their passion until their fifties. So it takes a while to find that passion, find the things that you're really excited about. We also talked about a principle called punching in the mud. And then we also talked about how in his experience, you know, how has the consumer changed over time. Especially, you know, over covid. So a lot of great points that we talk about in this, podcast episode. Definitely listen to it if you're interested in finding your passion or getting some tips on how to find your passion, and then also just general business tips of how to be a better business leader, better business founder and how to grow as a leader, as a founder.

In this episode with Kevin, I really enjoyed it because he is a podcast host. He's very successful and he's got a great setup and a great microphone. So it was really fun talking to him and really, you know, a good episode overall. And I actually learned a lot from him afterwards about, you know, making my podcast better, which was great. So absolutely loved talking with Kevin. Him and I talked a lot about genius zone and being hyper-conscious and what that means for you to, to really be self-aware and what it looks like to be hyper conscious about, you know, a situation about a relationship, how that ties into leadership, how that ties into self-improvement. And then specifically we also talked about co-founder roles how the genius zone, how being hyper conscious, all of that ties into co-founder relationships especially between like a visionary and an integrator CEO and COO. Really enjoyed this episode and really loved talking to Kevin specifically about, you know, his experience with the Genius Zone and also with his co-founder.
In this episode with Andrew, we talk about no code and low code tools and which ones to use in your startup. Especially, you know, obviously on the technical side when you're trying to build an application, a web app, anything like that. We talked about bubble, how that's probably the best tool that we both agreed on as being really good for most founders that need just a small amount of coding or just the beginning stages of their technical startup or the beginnings of an application. And then we also talked about why it's still important to bring on an expert at some point in the process. You can't really get by on a low code or no code tool forever. You do need to bring in an expert at some point just because those tools aren't really meant to go at scale to handle a ton of traffic, a ton of you know, bandwidth and a ton of complexity. But it is a perfect solution for the basics and really just the building blocks, the fundamentals to really get things started. So, enjoy the episode. We talk a lot about low code, no code tools and how they could be helpful for you.
In this episode, I talk with Ian Morgan. He is the director of MBS Accountants. In this episode, we talk about three different points, financial control, financial clarity, and financial education. So first off, in a business you need financial clarity. You need to be doing the bookkeeping. You need to know where everything is going, and then you go into financial control where you figure out, Okay, I need X amount of dollars to make my life continue to function. I need to take a certain amount of profit from the business. I need a certain amount of money to run the business. What are my fixed costs? So there's financial clarity, there's the financial control, and then we go into financial education. How much knowledge do you really need to have to, to properly run the accounting in your business? And then what should you outsource? What should you hire out to other people?
I demystify startups. I go behind the scenes with startups of all sizes. I want to show you that startups aren't as intimidating as they sound. You can mitigate risk, you can find a good work/life balance, and you can be successful.

On today's episode, I talked with Brendan. Brendan has a popular YouTube channel called MasterTalk. In that channel, he tells people how to be better public speakers and how to be better communicators. He has three daily exercises you can do to become a better communicator, to become a better public speaker. And we go into a lot of that. On today's podcast episode, we talk about what it's like to be a communicator as a leader. We talk about what it's like to have a different personality set and how you can mirror that in your communication style or even change that in your communication, depending on, you know, if you're a visionary, an integrator, CEO, COO. So, I really enjoyed talking with Brendan and I hope you enjoy the episode.

Andrew and I discuss two ways of getting into a Venture Studio and just having better chances of being a successful entrepreneur. Hardly anyone has major success with their very first company, so do what you can now to prepare for success. Andrew advises going through some kind of apprenticeship to learn the industry and "learn from the masters", and even then, you still need to have a track record of previously successful businesses to be a prime candidate for a Venture Studio.
